Kingdom Values
The kingdom of God is not about satisfying self based on worldly things, it is about aligning one's life with the kingdom values. Christians should practice things on which God places values. Jesus mentioned humility, forgiveness and faithful service as valuable practices for those seeking the kingdom of God. Matthew 18:14 - It is not the will of your heavenly Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. We have the followings for discussion: Embrace Humility; Value Every Believer; Practice Forgiveness.

Embrace Humility: Those who want to inherit God's kingdom must humble themselves in the fear of God and relationships with others. When disciples asked Jesus about the greatest person in the kingdom of God, he responded that those who want to be great in God's kingdom must be humble as the little children (Mathew 18:1-5); they must not hide bitterness in their hearts. Character of a child is closest to requirement for kingdom living.

Humility is the first striking character found in a little child. Thus it is considered as the foundation upon which all spiritual values are built. Life of prayer, worship of God, fellowship with others, reading and obedience to the word of God, loving and caring for others are built upon humility. We have much to learn from children's model of humility. They neither pretend nor hide emotions. They are plain and honest. Believers must be honest and humble themselves before God.

Value Every believers: Jesus warned his followers not to cause others to stumble. He stated that those who harm the 'little ones' would be severely dealt with at the judgment (Matthew 18:6-9). Jesus was referring to those who were child-like in faith as the 'little ones'. By putting a stumbling block in their ways, setting traps for them, taking advantage of their weaknesses and treating them harshly in such a way to discourage them, a person displays acts of offence against the little ones. Those willing to harm the ones loved by God shouldn't have lived to await His judgement. God wants people to love one another and reflect the values ascribed to His kingdom.

Every individual is important and of inestimable worth to God. Each believer is described as the 'little ones' and has been assigned an angel for God's protection. Jesus also used the parable of the Lost Sheep to illustrated the value God places on every believer. If one out hundred sheep is gone astray, the shepherd will track it down until it is found. God desires no one to be lost but to come to repentance and live to gain His salvation (Mathew 18:10-14). All believers are valuable to God, even those who don't have much money or gifts to contribute to the Church are no less important to Him. God demands fair treatment to all.

Practice Forgiveness: Jesus taught the disciples concerning practice of forgiveness (Matthew 18: 15-22). Peter had learnt the best practice of forgiveness in Christ that he demanded beyond three times stipulated in the law to seven times that a person should be offended. Jesus answer was yet another surprise. He said a person should be offended seventy times seven (490) times before he would react. He stated this to show that forgiveness has no limits. He doesn't want believers to nurse aggression or open their hearts to bitterness toward one another. Anyone that is offended should go to the offending brother, or sister and show him his fault. Through reconciliation we demonstrate God's love and offer freedom, but if a person rejects reconciliation he remains 'bound' by sin.

It is required of all believers to forgive and forget. Jesus used another parable to illustrate this. He talked about a servant whose debt was forgiven but couldn't forgive the one indebted to him. He was pardoned and forgiven a debt he couldn't have repaid. When it was his turn to show mercy and pardon someone else he lacked compassion (Matthew 18:23-25). The wicked ones will be severely punished, but those who exhibit Christian values as thought by Christ will obtain mercy. To God be the glory. Lesson texts: Matthew 18:1-35.

The drop hasn't changed anything yet, some banks even do the exchange higher than those -abokis-, when I took the pain to investigate fbn rates today I found out it was ridiculously higher. Don't know whether the extent of disconnection between cbn and commercial banks is too much for the cbn.

Hmmm, your thought will be as if victims and what victimises get class, so that a sympathizer too wouldn't be a victim. I subscribe to your observation that neither Buhari nor Osinbajo has visited sites of bombings and the victims since they were made the president and the vice. No wonder some people would say fear the North.

May God give our leaders sense of direction to rule the country well and make volatile places peaceful. We had hoped the terrorists would stop immediately Buhari took the mantle of leadership as the president, but here we are with the same story.

I think it is the time for all opinion, political and religious leaders of the North to embark on street walk, traversing the lenght and breadth of the North and calling for the end of regional war of terrorism against the country.

President Buhari may be a failure if these people fail to do the correct thing. Counting the lives being wasted since he was sworn in, one will see he has no magic wand to wipe off terrorism in the North.

Why have they delay the bills to this time? May be they could be have been found wanting in one way or the other.

Hope he wouldn't deny Christ because he would stand before his throne of judgment to give account his life and attitude to Christ's sacrifice and message for salvation of his soul. Of what benefit it is to gain the whole world and loose one's soul in heaven. What God demands of man is faithful, righteous and godly lifestyle that makes it possible to earn his salvation.

Rily the difference is clear from that simple comparison, but many business people esp Nigerians contact and make deals with Chinese to make products according to specific requirements, which may be what their people could afford, while they want to live and behave like people using the original. Within a very short time the difference will be strikingly clear. I don't blame the Chinese, they have started somewhere and now they are progressing with varying forms of products in terms of quality and superiority.
