mrofficial:Name is about physical recognition - an identity. His salvation is his testimony, and that's what concerns God about his life. |
MightySparrow:If your sins are forgiven, go and sin no more. Your opinion about God you do not understand will always plunge you into confusion. |
As God calls all people to genuine repentance and to amend their broken relationships with him. He is ready to use anybody who is willing to surrender his life to him. God uses the foolish things of the earth to confound the wise, and his way humans will find difficult to understand except they are led and taught by his Spirit. He seeks to redeem and save sinners even the most miserable criminals. |
Swiftlee:You must be very good in cooking. Am... LOL! Such animal has delicious taste! |
Choose to obey Christ's teachings Christ teachings are about how people can understand the true nature of God and do His will. Believers who base their lives on Christ's message (God's word in its clearest form) will find it so easy to live godly and peaceful life. Christ teachings provide ways to resolve difficult issues that can arise from relationships with others. Matthew 7:24 - Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. We have the followings for discussion: Choose to view others wisely; Choose to trust God; Choose to follow Christ. Choose to View Others Wisely: While continuing his teachings Christ warned against judging others. He said, "judge not that ye be not judged". He is making it known that unfair treatment of others and unjust discrimination is ungodly and should be avoided. He is addressing a situation whereby some people make themselves relevant by tearing others down (Matthew 7:1-5). Jesus is not saying we should not be concerned about moral and spiritual condition of others. He wants us to guard against having rigid, scornful or disdainful attitude towards others. He wants us to love and intercede for them. People can be spiritually blinded to see their own faults before condemning others for their faults. They should first recognise their needs, deal with their problems and ask for forgiveness before they can help others. Jesus was also teaching people to humble themselves, realize their sinful and broken condition while trying to help others. They should also understand truthfulness of their worship of God (verse 7) and discern someone's attitude towards the gospel. Choose to Trust God: Jesus taught that people should put trusting God in continuous action to receive from Him. God responds to persistent faith shown by His children (Matthew 7:7-8 ). Faith that does not persevere in doubt makes it possible for believers to keep asking, seeking and knocking until God hears and answers. God can answer at the moment of asking. He can also delay or decide not to respond. He knows what is good for His people and the appropriate time to provide it. Jesus also made it known that God is our Heavenly Father who will give us things that are good for our lives (Matthew 7:9-12). If it is possible for earthly fathers to provide good things for their children, God will provide much more for those who trust Him. when God delays His provision, we should have it in mind that He has the best reason and wouldn't want to give what can harm us. Choose to Follow Christ: Jesus showed that our eternal destiny is chosen by us. People can choose how they want to live and where they want to be. He admonished believers to enter in at a 'strait gate' that leads to eternal life (Matthew 7:13&14). It is not just easy to enter the narrow gate; it requires efforts to do so. The gate leading to eternal destruction is broad and many enter into it. Believers should therefore decide concerning the two roads for their eternal destiny. The narrow way that leads to eternal life is in Christ, only a few people find it. Those who follow Christ's example and teachings will find the way. Jesus warned concerning those leading others to the way of destruction; they can pretend to be good but they are evil. They can even act as the preachers of God's word, but they are not. Believers will escape being drawn into their error when they allow the Spirit of God to lead them and interpret their messages. The sign of true discipleship is not by confession, profession or wonderful works. Those who obey God and do His will as revealed by Christ will be the wise people building on the solid foundation (Matthew 7:15-27).To God be the glory. Lesson texts: Matthew 7:1-27. |
At this 21st century military coup should have been a thing of the past in the fast growing countries and developing economies of Africa. |

UnknownT:When politicians have confessed that politics is full of lies. More often they mean the opposite of what say, pledge and promise. |
These boko boys and evil trailing their paths. Oh God of mercy deal with those devils and save good people of the North. |
argon500:These terrorists and their trouble sha. They will never see peace until they are finally defeated, and their traces blotted out. |
Ikengawo:In a country where ideaology and vision are not for similar goals, pursuits and expectations will always be different. May God guide those who have the focus right to develop their States and people. Commerce, industry and technology are emerging in most States of the South while terrorism found the way through few States of the North. |
Aging is the problem of able and dynamic youth. I could see Carter and Obasanjo have changed and someone will now find it difficult to recognize those leaders now in their youthful appearance. |
“As far as I’m concerned, until all state workers are paid their salary, no governor, no commissioner, no special adviser should collect salary or allowance,” Murray-Bruce stated. This man made sense o. Deliberate delay in payment of salaries was started by one or two States, but now it has spread to other States because Nigerians are easily deceived and controlled by politicians. They claim all benefits at the expense of workers comfort. Hope Mr Bruce will not change his stand against corrupt politicians when he finally resume work as the Senator. Hope he will put the masses first and lead the house in the war against corruption and all acts of indiscipline. |
Practices for Kingdom living Jesus continued his preachings on practices for kingdom living and eternal rewards from God . He made it known that God's kingdom requires making choices and doing things that honour and please God. The kingdom lifestyle requires that God's people practise spiritual discipline, put their trust in God and value things that help to advance His kingdom. Matthew 6: 3 - Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall shall be added unto you. We have the followings for discussion: Choose God rewards; Live free from materialism; Give God's Kingdom Priority. Choose God's Rewards: Jesus was teaching people how their lives and relationships with others can earn them God's rewards. Spiritual discipline is required to live a purposeful and blessed life. Alms giving, prayer, and fasting are considered as three basic acts (service and commitment) through which God rewards His people. Jesus warned against acts of giving that dishonours God. Giving with the intention for people to see and praise has no heaven's rewards. such act of giving is practised by hypocrites and meant to steal glory that belongs to God (Matthew 6:1-4). Whatever people do for outward show, and not truly from their hearts has no expression of trust and devotion. Such act can not make people righteous before God, therefore it has no reward. Jesus also preached concerning proper motives about prayer. Private prayer should be said in one's closet and if possible person at the next door should not hear what the mouth is saying. Some people pray to impress others rather than to connect with God (Matthew 6:5-8 ). There is nothing wrong in public prayers; but such prayers should connect us with God rather than to seek public attention. Long, drawn-out prayer and repetition don't bring answers to prayers. God already knows our needs we just need to express faith that He sees, hears and knows. Jesus wants people to fast with proper motives. It is totally wrong if fasting is meant to catch public attention. Fasting is a spiritual exercise which helps to train minds and bodies for righteousness, and to honour God. Fasting will be for self-service and the rewards will be temporary if it done to receive praises and approval of people (Matthew 6:16-18). Live Free of Materialism: Jesus wants God's people to have strong desire for eternal treasure instead of seeking after material prosperity all the time. Unrestricted desire for material prosperity can rob people of the opportunity to gain eternal treasures. Jesus is not against material possession and saving money to acquire good things of life. Rather He is teaching people to seek after treasures that reflect the glory of God. Wealth, treasure or possession that robs our precious time and devotion for God is an idol we must avoid for kingdom living and eternal reward. Christians should lay their treasures in heaven (Mathew 6:19-21). God provides what we need to advance His kingdom and bring glory to His name. Jesus wants our eyes to be focused on things that have eternal values. It is by doing this that our desires and passions can be pure and our spiritual eyesight healthy, then we shall be able to live for the right things with the right reasons (Mathew 6:22-24). There is hostile relationship between living for God and desiring for material things. So Christians are called to hold more unto what is valuable to God (salvation) than what is valuable to the world (riches). Give God's kingdom Priority: Jesus teaches us to trust God for He is concerned about our needs. If we believe God cares for us and helps to meet needs we will no longer be overburdened by worrying about daily necessities. If it is possible for other creatures that they don't worry for things they need in the future, it will be much easier for God's people to a live a life that is not characterised by daily struggle for daily necessity (Matthew 6:25-30). Our Heavenly Father provides daily even for other creatures which are less valued. Therefore He will provide for us if we diligently seek and trust Him. Our faith, trust, obedience and devotion are required to receive from God. Jesus doesn't want us to be consumed by worrying and anxiety over our needs, rather he gives us the assurance of God's provision for daily necessities. However we must seek first the kingdom of God (Mathew 6:31-34) and our focus in daily living should be on God, His kingdom and righteousness - on eternity, rather than temporary problems on earth. To God be the glory. Lesson texts: Matthew 6:1-34 |
tonytony208:I think this is reasonable but it is a pity the way many are being deceived to sheepishly follow politicians in their States and believe all lies they have said against Jonathan. Many State governors including my own State have the guts to say all their faults or failures are tied around President Jonathan neck. This kind of lies has been going on fo some times but unfortunately many can't reason very well again to challenge authenticity of news or stories emanating from State's corridor of power. Now that Buhari has fired the shot, let's see how people will responde to reckless handling of State affairs. Many States are of the opinion that it is only when Buhari takes over that lives of their people will improve. I SEE THAT AS THE BIGGEST SHAME OF THE CENTURY FOR THOSE STATES. |
Trekkers, find better things to do. What is economic benefits of all these trekkings to Nigeria. If it is none I think the president elect can start his work from their basic needs - moral, spiritual and the physical needs. |
sonOfLucifer:Just like saying people should forget about their hearts and start considering blood and water of their bodies as things that sustain life. Telling people to forget about the Creator of light and the Source of knowledge is like decorating a car without engine or moving by a car that lacks control. Nothing moves or works that way. Knowledge without putting first the Source of knowledge will only achieve a purpose characterized by myraid of problems. God first, other things follow. |
arsenal33:In the sky? You are one of the funniest people or doubting Thomas on earth. HOWEVER THOSE PROJECTS CAN'T BE SEEN BY EYES CLOSED TO ANY PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT UNDER JONATHAN GOVERNMENT. The 25000 km roads may comprise of the newly constructed roads and those being rehabilitated |
The end of the wicked is never good. That marks the shameful end of boko haram, their caliphate and reign of terror. They will never rise again to succeed against Nigerians. The victory over them shall be permanent. May God raise good people that will not collaborate again with terrorists for the North. |

Agricultural Transformation Agenda, industrialization, massive road construction, consolidations and improvements on rail and air transportation and many others aimed at developing the country should not be abandoned projects. Buhari administration should continue with them and do more. |
Ok |
francizy:May I also hail Fayose? He is being hailed far beyond Ekiti State. People of his State have expressed their love and support for him righ from the day he made up his mind to contest. With their support he won and when they saw possibility of his impeachment they also expressed full support and made sure the crown fits his head. Your description and accolades shower on him indeed represented the will of his people. Instead of learning good lessons from Ekiti scenario some people are too lazy and would prefer to condemn just anything. I read of idle responses condemning your post. |
Trouble makers |
Buhari will now find himself in the troubled water of political and economic realities, the same realities that drown Jonathan. But Buhari has said he had everything on ground to stay afloat. |
Let Buhari be insulted the way Jonathan was insulted, then we can know who is more matured between the two by their reactions. |
hilaryiwens05:I have spent close to a thousand dollars, does that mean restriction on receiving money into my paypal account would have been lifted? Pls answere me ASAP. |
May the remaining hostages be retrieved and the forest of terror be free of terrorist wanderers/hunters, cattle rearers and the religious extremists |
13 Months' salaries keh, these governors are heartless. They have looted the treasury and exhausted all resources for their campaigns. I thought the problem of unpaid salaries for Months was peculiar to only Osun and Oyo States, don't know Okorocha has caused untold hardships to the State workers. SHARING BAD THING IN COMMON IS UNBECOMING. IS THAT HOW THE INCOMING ADMINISTRATION WILL BE RULING THE COUNTRY? Only primarily School teachers have been paid salaries consistently through counterpart funding from the Federal allocation. Some State governments will still put all blames on FG as if their Monthly allocations are not settled. |
uboma:Calling the violent and troublesome northerners to order and training them to behave well as normal, reasonable and peace-loving human beings is the primary thing expected of Buhari for now other things are secondary as far as building a country where justice and peace can reign is concerned. |

Jesu!!! That meat can sweet oo. It is just delicious when you eat it. Just put your water on fire and let it boil very well then put the thing in a big bowl and pour the water on it. Remove from the bowl and place on a tray and peel the scale from the body. It will have smooth and bright colour after you the procedure. Just take a sharp knife and dissect its anatomical structure and try to segregate them into portable and platable sizes. Just remove all the interior intestines and throw them away dont eat them cos I dont eat them either
