Authorities and Friends If we truly obey God and submit to His will we must obey and submit to earthly authority. God ordained authority and demands our obedience and submission to it. Ecclesiastes 7:19 strengthens the wise more than ten mighty men which are in the city. We have the followings for discussion: Dealing With Injustice; Obeying Authorities; Benefits of companionship Dealing with Injustice: Injustice is found in all places and can bring about unexpected reactions in the society. Such reactions can be to express displeasure or put up a defence that can spoil interpersonal relationships. Injustice can also result in disobedience to the authority. Christians should respond to injustice with the scriptural principle; our reactions should promote justices, build relationships and help the authority realize faults and adjust. Misplacement of justice has turned the world upside down, wickedness and iniquity are commonly seen where correct judgment and justice are expected (Ecclesiastes 3:16-17). Likewise immorality and evil are often discovered where righteousness and morality are expected. Willingness to satisfy selfish desires hinders justice even in an environment that promotes justice. We should rely on God and ask for His grace and wisdom to act rightly and do justice. Christians should not loose hope when justice is turned down, God is still in control and will bring wrongs unto judgement. He will resolve all issues and overrule injustices. Those who receive God's offer of forgiveness and redemption will be given the grace to faithfully serve Him. We can easily be discouraged as a result of oppression and injustice done to the poor by the rich and influential and think nothing is worth pursuing again on earth (Ecclesiastes 4:1-6). Instead of being overwhelmed and loosing interest in making progress we should pursue life of inner peace and contentment which can give hope, joy and happiness. Obeying Authority: God commanded people to obey authorities. Our obedience to the authority is to recognise and honour God as the Source of authority (Ecclesiastes 8:1-5). Irrespective of the injustice and oppression in the society we must recognise and obey the authority. But we can disregard the authority if it makes it difficult or impossible to do the will of God. In such a situation we need to apply God's wisdom and follow righteous living. Obedience to human authority is obedience to God provided it is possible to pursue godly and righteous living. Our testimony as Christians will be judged based on obedience to lawgivers. All people appointed, elected or employed to leadership positions must be recognized, respected and honoured. God demands our submission to the authorities (Romans 13). God has the ultimate authority and will bring all things to His divine judgement (Ecclesiastes 8:11-13). In the society today there is growing leniency toward evil and minor punishment is served to brutal crime. This has caused widespread moral breakdown. We should not be discouraged, we just need to put trust in God and have it in mind that He will judge the evil and condemn the wicked at His own time. Those who are saved must received the divine mandate to share God's word and lead others to Him. Benefits of Companionship: A meaningful and purposeful life is a life shared with others (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). It is not profitable for a person to live a life that offers no benefits to anyone. Life is well lived if others are helped and supported; lonely and hardworking life with huge success amounts to nothing if it doesn't touch lives of others in such a way to receive love and gratitude. For greater success and prosperity people should go beyond lonely and self-serving lives to lives shared with others. Life that embraces partnership makes it possible to share skills and embark on any task for greater returns. Also, the life shared with others hastens recovery when difficulty arises. As Christians, companionship makes it easier to pray for one another and provides greater chance of victory over discouragement, temptation and oppression. To God be the glory. Lesson texts: Ecclesiastes 3:16-17; 4:1-12; 8:1-5;11-13). |
Tribal South Africans are the most backward people on earth with their attacks on fellow African partners. If they continue to attack fellow Africans like this which country again will want to rise to their aid or defence if they are troubled in the future? THEY ARE BEHAVING AS MUMU PEOPLE OF AFRICA. |
SOUTH AFRICANS... YEYE PEOPLE OF LOW ESTEEM. LAZY AND INDOLENT PEOPLE CREATED VIOLENCE TO KILL AND DISPOSSESS FOREIGNERS OF THEIR WEATLH, RESOURCES AND MONEY. |
Education and health care delivery esp for the North which has refused to develop for years. Industrialization in which he has attracted many industries and working to create enabling envt Free and fair election and the need for loosers to emulate him and prevent unnecessary court cases and post elections violence. Agricultural Transformation Agenda, reimbursement and subsidizing farm inputs through e-wallets and physical movement of farm inputs to farmers in their communities. Massive construction of good road network across the country Resuscitation of railways and construction of mordern railway and introduction of fast trains. Youth empowerment program through which federal and states schemes of youth recruitment to public services were introduced eg SURE P, YES O, O YES THINGS and the rest. Accessing to funds for improvements on private enterprises.... YOUWIN program comes to mind Total clamp down on boko haram as being currently witnessed and many more. |
Hope I will come back and recommend your services to someone else. Let honesty and prompt response be the guiding principle. |
So South African blacks are morally backward, uncultured and uncivilized groups of people in the continent. Their ladies also have hands in killing foreigners and stealing their properties. The same foreigners that fought tirelessly to save them from apartheid. They are ingrates and backward fellows in Africa. Now they own the land and fully in control the next thing is to descend on foreign nationals and send them out of the country. What of their people and ccompanies based in other countries? Abi they believe the next thing is to live in isolation. As big as China and India are and as numerous their people are they don't go the way of these barbaric and brainless South Africans. |
megacity:For righteous living and salvation of souls. God wants as many as possible in his kingdom. After enjoying everything on earth and he discovered that all is vanity, the Prime Minister might have just started his working relationship with God, the beginning and end of all things. May God redeem and save his soul for His Eternal Kingdom. Though qualification for God's kingdom is not by politics or, it is by God's grace and mercy, and turning the right attitude and commitment to His service. |
Beehshorp:Not only you. I was confused to read that bad and terrible personalities are being mentioned as famous people |
If South Africa could hate and treat foreigners like that the country must also stop all economic activities with other countries. |
President Jonathan wants to do an unusual thing which will promote peace and strengthen unity in the country. Many had expected that he would extend his stay in office but surprisingly he has shortened the time. That shows he wants peace more than anyone could think of. |
Such is life. Now the trend has changed. Someone needs somebody to become someone. Ladoja has helped someone to achieve that but in the end the story changed. This reminds me of an adage "if you dig a pit for an enemy, don't make it too deep because you might be the one to fall inside". This reminds me of Ladoja role that put an end to reelection of Akala for second term in which he lost by a slim chance. Four years after Ladoja seems to have been pained more. The matter now calls for calm and final resigning to fate. Up the super three! |
So pathetic, Fulani and trail of violence always following them! Going to the market with dangerous weapons. To fight innocent people or to sell for people while they left their animals behind? Hope they are not remnants of boko haram fighters sha finding their ways to integrate with unsuspecting communities. I think they are passing the signal, everyone should be watchful and study behaviors of strange faces. |
zendy:I pray they understand and change attitudes. Those Alimajiris they are using today as instrument of violence and terror will rise against them in the later years and disturb their peace until they are provided with what they really need. |
philips70:Because we are glorious people, hope of the future. We don't need to inflict injuries that will take years to heal. Reasonable people will question benefits others can derive from the power of our intellect. We can't be living in a strenuous and rejected old age nah, at this computer and information age. That's reason we have been struggling to develop since 1960, some are trying to build others are destroying. What a pity! |
Wsdm: omenka: philips70:The man raise issues based on his observation on attitudes of northern elders towards Jonathan administration and if we are to be sincere some of the elders really played disastrous roles. These reactions showed that you people closed eyes to those issues and tried to give wrong impression about cicumstances surrounding violence in the North which was meant to cause confusion and discredit Jonathan government. All people cannot be fooled all the time. It was easier to conspire and destroy than to come together and build. |
pretydiva:And this method... OK... |
Jackeeh:You mean doing this works for beans.... If so I am learning a new thing. I like beans but I hate long time it takes to soften. I would like it to be well done like the ones sold by food vendors. The ones that change from white to brown afte cooking. |
The man Tinubu is resilient and focused and that paid off at last. He wasn't like other colleagues who are always making themselves relevant through defection after being fully raised in a particular party. |
lanrefront1:When many have seen and investigated a lot and known the truth of all happenings - their game and conspiracy long before Kwankwaso's action or reaction. Pictures of underage voters casting votes trended on net and they have been documented. You pretend as if you are ignorant of that. |
lanrefront1:Why inviting Jesus Lord to defend scandalous case? He never subscribed to fraud, injustice, greed, lies, hypocrisy and all sorts of evil while he was on earth and delivered God's sent message to the world. Instead of defending lies you can do all you could to let the North know her fault so that people out there can respect rights of others irrespective of tribes, religions and ideological differences. |
mrvictor:May God save Nigeria; the same caliber of leaders and people now successfully graduated from pdp to apc. May God save Nigeria |
raumdeuter:May God save Nigeria and guide us right. It's unfortunate that we don't have the right parties and most of the time we don't have right leaders, and the major parties are a big SCAM. We have all seen they are for scam. Honestly speaking their foundations are based on scam, esp pdp and apc Those who formed and destroyed pdp make the majority of governors, reps and senators of apc in the northern parts. And majority of voters they used to secure votes were underage. |
What of the governors who diverted the State funds for their campaigns and in the process couldn't pay salaries for months? |
Hottestdaniel:And the Northern leaders and their religious fanatics that introduced boko haram and created terrorism are forgiven. ONLY GOD KNOWS WHEN SOME PEOPLE WILL KNOW THE TRUTH. |
justi4jesu:Fayose resounding victory is good for democracy. To every strong government in power there must be strong opposition to put unexpected behaviors in check. For good of Nigeria, defection of political prostitutes should be discouraged. Those who should have stayed where they are and shed light to darkest sides of policies of government in power would prefer to join the majority and cover evil. I salute Fayose's courage and pray he will take his State to greater heights. |
AIZubair:For all evils? That's serious. The North is in urgent need of deliverance! |
If the North will continue to do like that the region will remain a big fraud and disaster to the country. They used underage voters, they used the miscreants as boko haram to cause untold hardships because of power. |
Slynonny:Hahaha. Ayo Fayose has taken it so far... mentioning unseating God before he could be unseated. He could have referred to Idanre hills or Olumo rocks nah. Anyway he is an iron man that commanded respect of Ekiti people. He will soon be like Tinubu of Lagos in terms of strength and fame, he also will shake the power that be and have his way thru. He was alive in the midst of storm, weathered it and emerged victorious. Fayose, Congrats. |
SAMBARRY:You can't even trek round your state. Trying that would be an uphill task and too much for you. I think the trekking man can be employed in the search operation for Chibok girls who are missing exactly a year ago. |
How are people so sure the man trekked without being assisted by motorised devices. The distance coverd would be how many kilometers and his trekking speed? How he managed to secure his life from unexpected attacks during the night hours in the bush? |
spiralwedge:you didn't make any reasonable point here. |
Stanislaus17:How? |
