Naijamericana: Algae conversion into crude oil will remain a novelty and curiosity for professors in ivy towers. In the real world, crude oil from E & D will be the mainstay of energy production for the next 100 years. Besides, has naija exploited the biofuel production for diesel that already exists today? Has the federal govt, developed any biodiesel programs at all?
Really our government should by now begin to find bio alternative to fossil fuel which could dry up some years time. As I often challenge our higher institutions, the Universities should by now be ready to give us indigenous technology to produce fuel from abundant organic matter we have in the land. If Brazil could do it I wouldn't know why Nigeria cannot.

Christianity Etc › Re: Sunday School Lessons: What Do You Gain To Share With Others? by Rexyl(op):
Today’s topic: Commanded to live wisely . This lesson wants us to examine ourselves from time to time as Christians and make sure that our attitudes and actions are not wrong as we relate with others. Also the lesson aims that we live to please God, and apply godly wisdom in our commitment to others. People are watching our actions and utterances that is why we need godly wisdom in dealing with situations. Ephesians 5:17 Be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. We are to examine the followings as requirements for living wisely: Avoid disorderly and divisive people, fulfill your responsibilities and discipline others lovingly.

Paul commanded believers to avoid disorderly and divisive people – those who are failing in their responsibilities and creating problems - idle people/busybodies, those who are not ready to work but exploiting and taking advantage of hard working, compassionate and generosity of others. People who are able to work and provide for their needs but they chose not to do so. The intention here is to correct disorderly people, it is not to punish and abandon them. Remember God’s command to love others; help the poor and provide for those in need, Romans 12:13; 1 Timothy 5:16 and 1 John 3:16.

We must be a Christlike role model, a responsible and good example for others to follow. This is part of our calling and in order to live it we must ensure that our actions match our words, and our walk matches our talk. Believers are being called to fulfill responsibilities and not be a burden. This requires working hard to get all that is needed. Believers should be encouraged to continue doing what is right and focus on pleasing God always.

Christians are to discipline lovingly – treat others as brothers and sisters, not as enemies. Whenever matters call for correcting those who have gone astray, we must reconcile with love, by doing everything possible to restore erring believers and bring peace to the Church. As people relate with one another, there is tendency for disagreement to arise and lead to confrontation.

God’s plan for confrontation wants us to avoid retaliation and keeping silent on issues. Retaliation leads to assaults and dangers of getting issues out of control while avoiding the issue will make tension build up without resolution. It also worsens the problem. Matthew 18:15-17 describe what Jesus taught us: issues should be confronted in a manner that should heal hurts and strengthen the Church. When there is conflict, people should talk one - on – one, and when apology is tendered sincere forgiveness must be done. Behaviors should be dealt with lovingly to promote restoration. if the offending believer refuses all the peaceful means then he should be regarded as one that has backslid. May God help us. Lesson text: 2 Thessalonians 3:6-18; Matthew 18:15-17

Yes contractions to those without understanding of the words, to hook/pierce hearts of the fool and foolish things of the world to confound the wise as the Bible states it. Yes the same book copied, altered and offered as Quran:

That tells you why God is God

Mighty Creator & Destroyer

Owns light and darkness

Commanded existence of substance and its change of state. Just like you from dust to man to dust.

Of judgement and justification

Of salvation and condemnation

Of truth and love for those doing His will, hate and hopelessness for those indulging in wicked acts such as this subject being discussed.

Because man shall continue to rise and fall in all his efforts to understand God, He designed Christ‘s gospel as the only way to understand Him and serve Him better, and to follow the way out of darkness to light, condemnation to salvation.

No wonder His word says, Psalms 68:11 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

Some will publish the word to make profitable living while some will publish it for their own destruction and of others.

Christianity Etc › Re: We Will Celebrate Christmas - Catholics To Kumuyi by Rexyl(m):
variance: Baba Kumuyi is not saying we should not give regard or celebrate Christ, but it is not scriptural to do that only on the 25th. Most of us who are talking did not even know how this celebration started. We only came, met people doing it and we joined them in doing it. Now someone came out to call our attention to it and we started using all kind if derogatory words. Why can't we ask him to come and show us BIBLICAL FACTS about this issue(which i'm sure he will if we ask him to do that). May God help us!
Why should Christians not make a day of the year to celebrate the birth of Christ? People who changed 25th of December from celebrating an idol and made it a day for celebrating Christ did excellent work - changing it from dark, gloomy and dangerous day to a glorious day to worship God and celebrate His love for giving Christ, the Saviour. Pls All Pastors, let the day be to celebrate Christ. Some people might be spreading confusion, taking us back to what led to choice of 25th December. We were not there when the change was effected but we should be happy that the day was successfully redeemed and taken over from darkness by light. Christians that achieved this feat already have their records/rewards in heaven while many people are now coming out to argue on what God has done --- the matter that does not require any argument again. A day was chosen out of 365/366 days for global celebration of the birth of Messiah but the real celebration must be done in Spirit on daily basis by believers. You should celebrate love, care, protection and most importantly salvation of your soul by God through Christ gospel.

Talking about how the celebration started and beginning to look for a way to go against is misleading. If I may ask you all, do we know how Olorun, Ubangiji, Chukwu or God started? And can we use little or nothing we know about it to discard mentioning and preaching by the names at various Churches? We are learning everyday... Pls stop misleading others, teach others true word of God. Preach the Gospel!

luluosas: HSI is referred to High Speed Internet service. It is the service that iOS, Android, Windows, Symbian and Java OS phones and devices are using. It is very expensive to maintain as Internet service subscriber due to the fact that neither Google, Apple nor Microsoft, owners of the Operating Systems have any dedicated service to run their services. Therefore, in order for the various network providers to offer Internet services on these platforms, they have to route the service via their own network to their various international telecommunications and data service carriers, which in turn fall back on you the subscriber to pay for the operations hence, a higher billing regime against a miserable data volumes which is obtainable across all telecoms service providers in Nigeria today on the HSI Internet platform.

BIS on the other hand stands for Blackberry Internet Service. It is an Operating System OS owned by the now ailing Blackberry, known formerly as Research in Motion RIM. This is the only OS across the world that have dedicated servers and equipment designed for the services of the OS. It offers a data compression services to network operators using/offering the service through dedicated products known as Blackberry phones and playbook. Therefore, the fact that this service has it own dedicated servers make the various network service providers to offer only offer the service but route all its traffic via the dedicated servers which automatically will now greatly compress the data volume to the end user (individual subscriber) without altering the quality and other features. Ultimately, this compression services offered by Blackberry now result in cheaper subscription amount and higher data volume allocation to the end user.
From my own layman perspective, this is the reason you see other OS users especially Android users, crying black and white against Blackberry's users on the discrepancies between the two OS by our telecoms operators, without them first considering why the difference in the first place. This is how much I can say. Thank you.

N. B. I am a pure novice on the workability of the various operating systems I outlined here. Please, be welcome to put this post in better perspective should you be a don in the telecommunications sector so that I don't mislead anybody with totally wrong information. Thank you.
this means BIS has been able compress data at ratio 10:1 against HSI and that‘ s what make subscribers pay N1000 for a data bundle instead of N100. But I think it should be possible forthe ISPs to compress data coming through their servers so that subscribers can be provided with internets service at a very reduced and affordable cost. If Bis is assumed to have compressed data thru it by 100%, each ISP should also device a means to compress its data by at least 50%.

What Jesus wants us to do is to use this festive season we are celebrating his birth to preach the gospel of glad tiding. Angels celebrated his birth, prophets celebrated his birth, shepherds celebrated his birth. I wouldn‘t know why we too should not celebrate his birth. But the most important thing as we celebrate is preaching the gospel. It is this that reveals truth about God and brings life.

Luke 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

Accept my warm Christmas greetings. Merry Christmas and happy new year. to you all.

CHRIST'S BIRTH IS WORTH CELEBRATION IF ORDINARY HUMAN BEINGS COULD SET A DAY APART TO CELEBRATE EVERY YEAR BEING ADDED TO THEIR AGES. EVER SINCE I WAS BORN MY FAMILY HAVE CELEBRATED THE BIRTH OF CHRIST. NOTHING LIKE OFFERING SACRIFICE TO IDOL. BUT PRAISES TO ALMIGHTY GOD FOR GIVING AND PROTECTING OUR LIVES. EVEN IT HAS BEEN THE TIME TO PREACH GOSPEL DEEPLY. IT IS DURING THE TIME THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE GRACIOUS TO LISTEN DEEPLY TO THE MESSAGE OF SALVATION. BOTH CHRISTMAS AND EASTER ARE VERY IMPORTANT EVENTS THAT WORTH CELEBRATION.

back to all letters we have received on National issues so far, I can see that the so called leaders view Nigeria as their property from which they can tap whatever wealth as they wish. With more letters we are being placed in better position to read and know much about them. Unfortunately there has not been sacrifice, commitment and patriotism to save this nation. No, letters received so far speak much about there intentions. if you think they want to serve you, you better begin to think twice. All of them, with the passion they are trying to recycle their stint/stink, they are mainly after selfish gains

papparatzzi2013: Read your 20 and 21 and understand it.

Even 22 says He is the head over all things to the church. That is where the authority of the church/Christians over all things - be it principalities and powers - is derived from.

You are seeing headship as wining and dining.

It is the word for "Authority".

Like I said, a man is the head of the house means, both physically and spiritually, the authority over the house.

If 20 says the Father has set Him on His right hand in heavenly places and 21 goes further to say, far above principalities and powers ---- what does that mean manny.

On what authority are you standing on for you to exhibit Ephesians 6:12
the phrase in the Bible “head of power
and principality“ Colossal 2:10 means the
creator has power over everything
created including forces of evil operating
in high places. The time he will fully
exercise the authority over forces of evil
in the world is yet to come. God will
command this at the fullness of time
according to His timetable. It is when
this happens that there will be an end to
all works of evil. Presently Satan is the one
controlling evils.

manny4life: I should encourage you to read it, this is chapter 1

20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

I suggest you read the Bible again, because like I told you, his name has power and dominion over evil....JESUS CHRIST, the son of God IS and WAS NEVER the head of principalities and powers... Get it together.
a little diversion of attention from the subject under discussion. Ok it is not bad. We are learning and discovering new things daily.

Christianity Etc › Re: Sunday School Lessons: What Do You Gain To Share With Others? by Rexyl(op):
Today's topic: The Incarnation (Christmas). God revealed Himself through Jesus. Christ is the God's only begotten son He sent to the world by His word. Jesus was with God and it was by him and for him everything was created. His coming to the world did not just happen, there were prophesies concerning his coming. The Bible makes us understand Christ as: the eternal word, the true light and the word of God made flesh to dwell with us. John 1:14, the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.

Christ - the Eternal Word - the word that was with God and which was God and by the word He created all things. Throughout Old Testament God revealed His will through His prophets, but through incarnation of His son He revealed greater things about Himself to the world. We are now provided with two expressions of God: His written word and the spoken word - Jesus. Both are in perfect agreement, Jesus has always existed and will exist forever with God, and it is through him people can have everlasting life.

Light was revealed through the creative power of the word. When light comes it makes darkness disappear. People need the light of the word to put an end to walking in the darkness of the sinful world. The Bible reveals that the entrance of God's word gives light. All people living without the word of God are living in the darkness, Psalm 119:105, 130 John 3: 19-21, Hebrews 4:12. John 1:5 says darkness could not comprehend the light - cannot overpower the light. Christ is the light unto salvation. Therefore we all need him to prevail in victory over the darkness of evil and sin.

Christ is the true light. John the Baptist declared this. He was the one sent by God to call people to repentance and prepare their hearts for the truth and salvation coming through Christ. In order to come to the light people should recognize the Creator and be born of the Spirit. Holy Spirit initiates the spiritual birth and makes it possible for a believer to be adopted as a child of God. Because we believe in Jesus we are given the power to be sons of God, John 1:12; Romans 8:14.

The word was made Flesh, and dwelt among us. He did this in order to identify himself with our strengths and weaknesses so we could be redeemed (2 Corinthians 5:21). Christ was fully a man - he experienced what humans experienced; he was fully God - He lived a sinless life and throughout, his deeds were pleasing to God (Hebrews 2;14-18). Christ's coming was the source of blessings -peace and abundance of joy to the world.

Though people are separated from God by sin, they are brought back to Him through faith in Christ. Moses was sent to bring message of law but Jesus brought grace and truth. The law aims to bring us to God's holiness but it can’t make us attain God's righteous standards needed for His holiness. The only way to this is by receiving the grace and truth of the finished work of Christ on the cross. Christmas reminds us of the love of God for sending Jesus into the world as our savior and for us to be made Children of God. May God help us. Lesson text John 1:1-18.
