Mudley313: smh...what's the difference between terrorist acts committed by boko haram and al-qaeda and all the barbaric atrocities committed by your savage jewish god throughout the old testament?

“This is what the Lord Almighty says... ‘Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’” (1 Samuel 15:3)

That nigga bible god even condones slavery which your white slave masters used in forcing your mumu-self to accept his religion without the use of your god given brain to think about the ridiculousness of the bible

“Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the cruel.” (1 Peter 2:18)
Quoting the Bible tells us that you either read it or listen to its messages to some extent. If you are sure of what you believe pls answer this question. Does Christ gospel aim to set people free from bondages of sins, or to put them into it? And what you believe, how does it make lives pure and clean from evils?

Now to what you have raised, God is the Creator who can do whatever pleases Him with what He created. Killing some and sparing some in the old testament tells you how awesome and favourable He is to those He called and loved. According to the Bible, God willed that something happened, likewise He changed His mind to prevent some things that might make man devastated. He created all but chose the Israelites as a people through whom His convenant would be revealed to the world - the convenant that will make Him take care of all nations in general and people serving Him in particular. He made this convenant possible thru the sacrificial death of Christ.
I am happy that you at least chose to answer me. A lot of people will simply just say "atheist, go away"
Anyway, I admire your opinion even though I oppose it. Is it wrong for me to question "the people" you say were inspired by God if a lot of the things they wrote down seem unbelievable? The reason I question it is because history has shown us that our ancestors are big time liars and they used to use fear to control people. We have this in African history. The only difference is that our African ancestors did not document ours in a book form. We have Sango who use to throw lightning to name a few. A lot of people claim this is false. Would they have believed our African folklore if it had been coined in a book and sold to us by the same people who brought the likes of Noah's Ark?

I know I'm pushing you into a corner but we these questions need to be asked
The world of spirit and the physical are are different things which influence each other. Believing, relying and calling on deities/gods for quick signs without following a written document don't come just like that without proper dedication to certain ordinances and doing rituals. Christians ritual to appease God is the documented words of grace and truth of the New testament. Asking and receiving from God depends on trust/faith and obedience to Him, His mercy and grace.

Certain circumstances may contend the originality of message as given by God through revelation but its validity is a function of what it meant to achieve at a time or all times and what is required from people.
This is why we need to ask questions and not just "forcefully accept what is given to us"
If you bothered to read my comments at all, you would have noticed where I stated SEVERAL times that I believe in GOD but do not believe in any INSTITUTION or BOOK written by MAN because they are riddled with LIES. You have ignored my main question and just stuck to your "YOU just have to believe it or go away"

Simple question. MAN wrote the BIBLE. Prove to me that the original writers did not lie. I am not here to debate GOD. To each his own. You can not debate supernatural things because it is based on "FAITH and BELIEF"
What you can debate, on the other hand, is THE BIBLE STORIES written by MAN. My question stands. How can you tell me with 100% accuracy that LIES have not been told since the religious books did not MIRACOUSLY appear but were WRITTEN over several YEARS by MAN. This is the man issue here. I maintain LIES have been told and the NOAH's ARK story is one of them
Written by people inspired by God. At times it contains different messages aimed at different situations, therefore looking at it to treat all situations alike will contrast minds that do not understand properly. We all know that only God is perfect, but we have been provided with the guides to the truth He wants us to know about Him. It is 'know the truth of the word' which seeks to set believers free unto righteousness.

Mudley313: what's the difference between you and boko haram who go and murder people without question because their arabian god told them to; same way you refuse to question the so-called words of your jewish god...funny thing is all these fairy tales were written by stone age goat herding foreigners about how they believed the world works, but you and boko haram members, both africans, will follow the words of foreigners like mumu come dey lie say na god talk am...okpemu
The word of God aims to let people know that there is a Creator behind the creation in a similar way your parents produced you by birth and you now exist as a living creature. Nobody forces you to believe this simple fact. If you like appreciate it or ignore it. christians know God exists in Spirit and they are trained to reference Him as such. Christ gospel tells us God doesn't mean evil for those diligently seeking and serving Him in truth and spirit. You mention book haram here and you seem to code it as evils of God. Once again Christ's message gives the distinction BTW goodness (love and kindness) of God and evils of Satan (which involve his cruelty and violence). Through Christ message we know that acts of terrorism is handiwork of Satan. Pls note there is no God in the act at all.
If this trend continues, there will be less and less people that believe in the Bible and in the distant future, people will do away with it. Rather than telling people to JUST BELIEVE, we need to start asking questions. Then only can we know the truth. Otherwise you will keep on isolating people. Imagine the kids we have today that know how to handle IPADS by the age of 2 - 3. Imagine when they grow up and you still keep feeding them stories like Noahs Ark, don't you think they will one day stand up from the congregation and give you a well deserved SLAP.
You are right to your opinion. if you and your children and children's children choose not to know God, serve Him and believe in His words, that will neither move Him nor change His position. Bible has already spoken well about increasing knowledge and a time of widespread disregard of truth contained in it. Few that are being saved by grace will continue to believe in God and His words. What makes His word stay is the supernatural which brings spiritual rebirth and transformation of minds, and works of miracles made possible by anchoring one's faith in Him, esp by people who are diligently seeking Him.Do you believe in Spiritualism and divination at all? If your answer is yes you and your likes must not doubt existence of God, and the fact that His word is still being given to people inspired by Him.

All arguments from the Bible, taken far away from the Bible will still come back to the Bible and land upon it. That is why God is God. People don't need any other proofs except the ones already spoken.

Christianity Etc › Re: Sunday School Lessons: What Do You Gain To Share With Others? by Rexyl(op):
Today's topic: Help with the Life's Direction. We should listen to God and allow Him to direct our paths. The Bible teaches that God will direct our paths , but we don't often get step-by-step directions. God has plan for everyone of us but our ability to live according to it depends on choices we are making. Life becomes easier and more convenient if a believer follows God's plan and allows His Spirit to direct him in all his ways. God has plan for us and He is committed to fulfilling His will for our lives. Proverbs 3: 5,6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy paths. This lesson wants us to examine the followings: God has a plan, discover God's plan, and live according to God's plan.

God has a plan for us and the plan begins prior to birth Psalm 135: 15 &16. Some people take this truth to an extreme, which makes them believe that their days are already ordained and whatever they can achieve is predetermined, and they stop taking responsibility for their actions and choices. God has plan for us but He wants us to discover it. When God calls a person for His purpose He equips him. He Chose Jeremiah before he was born as His prophet and when it was the time to do the work He called and equipped him.

Just like Jeremiah did (Jeremiah 1:6) we can easily state excuses which are a cover for our fear and unwillingness to surrender ourselves to God's plan. God wants us to discover what He wants us to do with our skills and abilities, and the moment we are on course He will equip us.

We are to discover God's plan and develop discipline by which we can live for Him. Proverbs 3:3-8 provides the basics for doing this: Christians should show mercy/love and be truthful. Also, they must trust in God and accept the fact that His ways are better than the ways of man. Placing the ways of man against the ways of God results in a clash between human wisdom and godly wisdom. It is by godly wisdom that Christians have discovered that 90% with God goes farther than 100% of man.

While godly wisdom encourages us to treat others the ways we want to be treated, human wisdom calls for a reaction in similar ways others have done to us. Christians should develop humility and godly fear. We should not allow pride to come in to override the grace God has deposited in us. Pride leads to foolish and sinful choices, but with the fear of God you will make choices that honor Him, and which will contribute to righteous living and well-being.

The Bible encourages us to lay the foundation of good Christian characters which will help us in taking steps for discovering God's plan for our lives.(Romans 12:1-2; James 3:13-18). It is Christ-centered life that leads to greater understanding of God's plan for our lives because it provides ways God wants us to respond to situations in life.

God wants us to live a Christ-centered life if really we are to live according to His plan. Apostle Paul stated that life was about serving Christ and knowing him better so that when death came he would be with him (Philippians 1:20-21). He reveals that living to God's plan is a choice which may mean giving up certain important things for one to follow God's plan and have deeper relationship with Him for greater gains (Philippians 3:7-14). Our lives should bring glory to Christ and draw us closer to him for the greater gains. May God help. Lesson texts: Psalm 139:15,16; Proverbs 3:3-8; Jeremiah 1:1-8; Romans 12:1,2; Philippians 1:20,21;3:7-14.

the discourse is so hot but plausible and serves as a direct guide to the truth about the religions. people should be trained rather than to be mentally drained or being brainwashed and living in ignorance. If we all have known the basics there wouldn't have been room for unnecessary arguments except some people would choose to argue blindly.

2. It is going to be a year of many questions but very few answers

3. There is going to be deliverance this year from afflictions and bondages

4. A year of monumental failure for those who trust in the occult

5. A year of harvest of babies

6. A year of wonders and mysteries

7. A year wherein strange hands shall compete for flags and damage it(to be forestalled by prayer)

8. He said something about violent storms

9. A year of deliverance for many, as the passover signified an halt to the isrealites bondage.

10. Opposition against the righteous this year shall become powerless.

11. A year of heavy angelic visitation.

12. A year for prophetic dreamers(take cognisance of your dreams this year)

13. A year when God will raise up women who are prophetic voices for the country

14. A year when many companies shall go bankrupt (to be forestalled by prayer)

15. A year of earthquakes and famine.

16. A tough year for political leaders who are not standing straight.

17. Traders shall be chased out of Gods temple this year

18. A year of marine madness(had to have these shortened, there are 12 more)

Capping it, he gave seven necessities for this year, he said you need, divine presence, divine power, divine protection, divine provision, divine purpose, divine positioning and divine promotion, in conclusion he emphasised the need for the pleading of the blood of Jesus this year also drawing a nexus with the isrealites passover. They have placed the religions side by side, discussed them with fullest references of scholars of both religions for all to know how truthful to God and from God what adherents believe.

Proper religion should not make life difficult for others, it should respect the rights of others. This world should be, live and let others live in as much as they obey the State law - laws that should respect fundamental human rights.
