Austin1805: dmDo you really think anyone will believe him?, let him say everything he knows about those people and their mismanagement of fund coupled with their conspiracy towards Abacha death while they are still alive and if they are found guilty, majority of Nigerians will stop celebrating them and see them for whom they really are and he will forever be recognized as a hero in Nigeria
Last last, either we say the truth or not, everyone is surely gonna die You and I know that in this country, we celebrate hypocrisy better than achievement. The time will surely come when those things will change. |

Bubewilson: You shouldn't consititue a nuisance to your neighbours because you keep plenty dogs. Am sure if they report you to the ministry of environment and an inspection is conducted, you must be found wanting in one way or the other.
Get a vet to check your dogs and stop assuming they were poisoned. Move to a place where you can live alone with your dogs. It's either of two things: 1. Your neighborhood is a quiet one. 2. There are people who are professional dog eaters. |

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/378197-abba-kyari-overrides-buharis-decisions-five-other-takeaways-from-nsa-mongunos-memo.html Let us consider the fact that the most of these North Easterners from Borno and Yobe are not Nigerians and not of Nigerian descent. Abba Kyari, Buratai, Munguno are all Tchadians as they all have their tribal marks in the side of their head. It is a feature of Tchadians. They have no stake in this country and will run back to Tchad when the chips are down. Modu Sherriff did it under President Jonathan. Foreigners from the North ruling Nigeria since Independence. There is no synergy amongst them and if there is there won't be any complaints. Abba Kyari reminds us of the US former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. He was so powerful that certain decisions taken by him were never reconsidered no matter how bad or devastating. |

Properties › Re: My Landlord Wants Me To Pay A Debt I Didn't Accrue by rhames(m): 12:22pm On Feb 13, 2020 |
Openedheavens: I need nairalanders' advice concerning my present predicament.
I rented an apartment late last year and discovered my power wasn't disconnected despite having not made any recharge on the prepaid after 2 weeks.
I called my landlord brother who let the place out to me, to inform him about my findings, but he insisted that I was enjoying the recharge from the previous tenant.
I tried checking the balance through the small box used for recharging but it wasn't connecting and I believed it was a network issue
After about a month, my curiosity heightened and for the fact that I hate to be involved in anything illegal, I decided to make further inquiries concerning the metre.
My neighbor and chief tenant who has been in the house for about 4 years told me that there's debt on the metre which made the previous occupant connect directly while by passing the prepaid metre..
I called a friend who once worked with Nepa and he made findings saying the debt on the metre is 118,000 naira. I got the number of the landlord and decided to put a call to him last December.
He claimed that the house has been on prepaid metre since the erection of the building. And said I should ask Nepa how the debt was accrued.. I agreed with him so I decided to make more findings concerning how debt got on the metre.
During this period, a nepa official came for inspection, he dropped his phone number as I was not at home. I called him and explained everything to him..
He gave me the summary of the transaction which showed that the house owed a debt while on post paid, which was transfered on the prepaid meter when it was installed. The nepa official indirectly asked me to bribe him so he would leave the metre not disconnected which I didn't oblige to.
He came last week to disconnect the metre and I have called the landlord who refused to find a solution to the problem.
My landlord claims he hasn't lived in the compound for a day and wouldn't be responsible for it. I suggested that I clear the bill and deduct it from my next rent. He refused.
I have been in darkness for over a week now and running on generator without any solution in sight.
What's the best measure I can take towards resolving this issue? It's a simple matter. If you have your rent receipt for the period you have stayed there, you can write to the National Electricity Regulatory Commission with your complaints that you did not consume the previous energy charged and inherited the debt from the previous tenant, state all the challenges you encountered from the Distribution company and its staff and also the response you got from your landlord over the issue. You will all be summoned to their office in your state to iron out issues and a firm decision will be reached by all parties affected. If you can't write, ask a lawyer to write your complaints on his letterhead for you. It will get prompt attention. Another advice to all is that, if you vacate a rented property, always write to the utility companies (electricity and water) of your intention to do so. Otherwise the bills will continue to read in your name and they may decide to sue you in future. Good luck boss |

McCoy662: Good morning Nlanders, I have this very issue bothering me. I have been in a relationship with this girl for about 3 years now. I love her so much, and she loved me until of recent when she told me that she's no longer interested in the relationship. She told me the stern truth that she was seeing someone else.
It's not like I don't take care of her, because I have given her almost everything she requested from me. I bought 90% of her clothes myself as she can't even buy for herself if I give her the money. I pay her bills too.
Just about 2 months ago, the said guy called me and told me that his gf (my gf) said I'm her ex, and they are now together. This guy is not that rich, he's just on average income scale, he's not super handsome and the worst is that, this girl calls and comes to my house for sex anytime she feels like. But that's all, we are not friends like before, we don't go out together, she don't even oblige my requests anytime I ask her for anything. She doesn't even visit on a regular except for sex.
Right now, I'm fed up; I'm tired of being in this love triangle, though I love her so much. My guys advised me to beat her up and warn her never to come close to my house again, but I just can't. Though I feel used as a sex object, but I just can't say no to this girl's request.
I don't just know, am I being stupid?? Is there a Best way to handle this in a more diplomatic way?? I really love this girl. You are even lucky she told you she is no longer interested in the relationship. My ex-girlfriend got married on the day I intended proposing to her. Don't waste your precious time on Nigerian girls. They are a big disgrace and disappointment when it comes to matters of the heart. Console yourself by taking a vacation for a few days or just visit the nearest pepper soup joint to stomach the issue. Good luck in your search for another bride. |
