RomanceRe: I Can't Stop Thinking About Him by rhames(m): 7:36pm On May 07, 2020
Filomena:
There's this guy I met in school and there has been this connection between us. We have gradually become friends. I find myself staring at him most of the time and when he tries to catch me, I hide my face. I have also observed that he stares at me a lot too and smiles and then says hey to me.

We had a small talk in school too. I didn't know he stayed in campus too so one night when I was going out to read, I saw him, like I couldn't believe it because I thought I was not going to see him again after they declared the two weeks strike, till it was called off. So I was really shocked and happy when I saw him. Then he hugged me and I hugged him too and held him tight.

So he then asked if this was my room and I told him yes. He told me he just escorted his friend that just finished cooking for him. I felt bad hearing that because I felt they had something more. So he then asked me which church I'd be attending the following day, I told him and he said okay and told me good night. He didnt even ask for my phone number. I wonder why he didnt.

The other day he just saw me and didn't talk to me and i felt bad for that. So after that day I saw him and he was just busy staring at me and smiling and I wasn't really in the mood for that but I still stared back. He then told me hey and passed. He was with his friend and I greeted him too and passed.

So the last day I saw him, I was coming back from church and was hoping I'd see him again one last time before I travelled. Lo and behold, I saw him coming towards me with some of his friends. He then hugged me and we had a small chat. I was still hoping that he'd collect my number, still he didnt..

I dont know if he wants to have something with me or not since he's yet to ask for my number..

Please guys I need your thought on this cuz I really want to go into a relationship with him..
I want to know if he likes me or bidding his time or just playing around.

Thanks.
Make the move and show him positive body language. Thats how it works.

Buhari is a modern day disaster to have happened to the history of mankind........same way Nigeria is a crime against humanity.
Bros so you be my mate? Was it throwing Fella Anikulapo Kuti in jail for currency trafficking while 53 suitcases belonging to his relatives passed through Murtala Mohammed Airport in 1984 unchecked. VP Atiku Abubakar was Comptroller of Customs who insisted they must be checked but he was immediately transferred to Kano for that affront.

Most Governors of North western states were under house arrest while Governors from other regions, including the vice president Dr. Alex Ekwueme, were thrown in prisons across the country for country and some even died of terminal illness in prisons.

The economy became battered that some parents had to withdraw their wards from school to learn work or trade while the government embarked on trade by barter.

So many businessmen selling essential commodities became penniless as a result of uncontrolled auctions by his government in the name of control price.

If the thought we forgot who he is, let's remind the current and Future generations that we have suffered under bad leadership by GMB in the past.

It's not new.
Nairaland GeneralMTN Asks US Court To Throw Out Afghan Anti-terrorism Suit by rhames(op): 5:58pm On May 05, 2020
MTN Group has asked a US court to dismiss a case filed against it last December, in which it’s alleged the South African-headquartered telecommunications operator paid protection money to the Taliban in Afghanistan, endangering the lives of US servicemen and women.

The suit was filed in a Washington, DC court on 27 December 2019 on behalf of American service members and civilians, and their families, who were killed or wounded in the troubled Middle Eastern country between 2009 and 2017.

The complaint alleged that several Western businesses supported the Taliban by making payments to ensure the protection of their infrastructure — in MTN’s case, it’s cellphone towers. The Taliban is an Islamic fundamentalist group waging a religious war, of jihad, in Afghanistan. “The firms allegedly used a network of subcontractors and private security groups to transfer cash to Taliban agents, and in some cases dole out salaries to certain Taliban ‘guards’ between 2006 and 2014, while the group was allying with al-Qaeda and waging a violent campaign against US forces and their allies”, CNN reported at the time, quoting the details of the suit.

“Defendants decided that buying off the terrorists was the most efficient way to operate their businesses while managing their own security risks — even though doing so jeopardised other American lives,” the lawsuit said. MTN has now filed a “motion to dismiss” the matter with the US court.

PoliticsRe: Infectious Disease Bill: House Of Representatives Under Pressure To Suspend Bill by rhames(m): 5:01pm On May 05, 2020
Fairview1:
My views on this are simple!

1. I welcome the idea of having a legislation to guide the control of Infectious diseases. However, the current bill is ill-timed. Nigeria is currently struggling to control a global pandemic (Covid-19) and is succeeding in getting the most deadly Lassa Fever outbreak in the history of the country under control. The National Assembly should wait for this to be over to enable critical stakeholders participate actively in the process of enacting the law. You don change the rules in the middle of the game. You don't start making new rules of engagement in the middle of a war.

2. The Bill does not respect the federal structure of the country. Most of the Infectious Disease Control efforts happen at the State level under the leadership of the Department of Public Health of the State Ministries of Health. The Bill as currently worded gives absolute powers to the Health Minister, DG of NCDC and law enforcement agencies. It can only work in a Unitary System not in a Federal system. It will cause more confusion than solution in the system.

3. The bill has many provisions that violates personal privacy and confidentiality of patients. For example, section 8 empowers the DG of NCDC to request ANY health information from health workers. Sub-section 4 makes it mandatory for the health worker to provide any personal information of the patient to the DG "not withstanding any restriction imposed by any written law, rule of law, rule of professional conduct or contract". This is not acceptable to me. It gives an absolute power in obtaining people's confidential information to one man which can corrupt absolutely.

4. The bill criminalises Infectious diseases. How? It empowers the police and health officers to apprehend "any person" suspected to have an infectious disease on "any street, public place, shop or public transport" and take the person
They are all agents of Mr. Bill Gates of Hell. For those of you who think it is a conspiracy theory read this link.

I lost seven up to date and all had a positive impact in my formative years.

First was my bossom friend who died of a terminal illness in 2000.

Second was my mentor and teacher in 2001 while on transfer to Abuja. He started life and sadly for fear of hernia surgery, he died of it's complications.

Third was a neighbor whose family I respect so much. He died of cancer complications.

Fourth was my dad in 2005. Stepping into the shoes as the head did not come sudden as he had prepared me for the task since childhood.

Fifth was another bossom friend I lost in that infamous Bellview plane crash October 2005. He boarded the plane for the fact he witnessed a fatal accident on the way to Lagos.

Sixth is another bossom friend, a Lieutenant Colonel who died in the hands of Boko Haram on his last mission on the battlefield. His promotion to Colonel came four days later and the Mystery around it is his father died at the same age while we were young.

Seventh was of recent. Barrister Soalabo West, the Rivers State attorney and former gubernatorial candidate who are was kidnapped and killed by his captors.

May God forgive their shortcomings.

Rest in peace friends.
