Opeyemiebun: Evening guys, please I will like to seek people's opinion concerning this issue that I have in my home.
I am a married Man with a Kid. Before marriage, my wife has a federal job outside Lagos while I run my business in Lagos. Due to Nigeria's economy, I asked her not to resign as she keeps working while I also keep on with my hustle. I have to be fair to her as she has been giving her all in this marriage and I so envy her strength to make things work despite the distance.
We had our first child last year and she is going to a year.. We both contribute financially and bring something to the table as we run 2 different homes.
I know she goes through a lot taking care of the baby without a car and I know how tedious it is for her to manage.
We are both young (I am 30 while she is 28) We got our first few properties this January and we planning to do other things as we both bring money together to get things done.
We have plans of getting our first car within a month and my wife suddenly demanded that she also needs a car where she is due to the stress she goes through daily picking my child from creche and managing that with her own job. I asked that I employ a helper for her but she doesn't want.
She plans on getting the car within the next 2months with her own money. My issue is that I am business oriented and see it as a waste of money buying 2 cars when we can buy one and invest the money for the other one.
I am a Civil Engineer and my Job requires I get a car for mobility. I feel guilty by trying to stop her from getting the car while I get mine and at the same time, if she get one I will also need to get.
I have been cracking my head up trying to see how we can go about it without hurting her and be fair to her as she is the best woman I can ever ask for.
What should I do, should we both get cars and let other stuffs take it course?
I have had more serious issues as a father of three over forty to contend with.
A car is necessary for that nursing mother to function well otherwise hell will be let loose in that household.
Prosper82: I Feel Like My Marriage Is Falling Apart
I would like in advance to apologize for the long post but I think some background information is needed so you can assess the situation.
My wife and I have two kids. The oldest is turning 8 soon and the youngest is 7 months old.
Since our first child was born she has been co-sleeping with us. And ever since our sex life has been going down hill.
Now since our youngest child was born he has also been sleeping with us in a queen sized bed. But after two months of very poor sleep, I decided I couldn't follow that arrangement anymore so I went to sleep in the next room.
So since our kids were born my wife has been sleeping with them and now I sleep alone.
As you could imagine, you can't really have sex with two kids on the bed. We have gone weeks and even months without having any sex. So my wife says that we should have sex in the room where I sleep after she puts the children to sleep.
This to me sounds like making an appointment to have sex. It isn't something you can have if you have to set up a time in advanced. I also miss cuddling with her and sleeping in our bed.
I feel like us sleeping in different rooms and beds has been the biggest hurdle to get back to the point we were before having kids.
We have a crib for the baby and a bed for our oldest daughter where each of the children could sleep separately but she's into attachment parenting so if the children cry (which I suppose they will when adapting to a new sleeping arrangement) is something that she wouldn't tolerate.
I also I understand the 7 month old might need to be breastfed in the middle of the night so she says it's more convenient just to have him nearby in bed than having to get up to breastfeed him but I feel that my daughter should be learning to sleep independently.
Anyway, it's been quite a while without sex and I don't know what to tell her or do. We have a lot of fights because of this.
I feel that attachment parenting might feel like you're doing the best for the kids, but if it also ends up destroying the marriage and we separate what good would that do for them?
What do you guys think?
Were you born to be sex machine?
Why don't you give the woman a break to bring up those children.?
Put your self in her position and find out how it feels then compare.
You are not a complete man yet except you stop Bringing your marriage issues especially when it's about copulation.
Why throw decorum to the winds?
Did she deny you food or shelter or even throw your things on the streets because of anything?
Please appreciate that woman for being a good wife.
You will have more sex than what you expect later on in your marriage.
LegendHero: I don’t know who is advising Buhari government coz his lieutenants most times behave like his enemies rather than friends with their statements.
Why should Malami even heat up the polity in the first place by his earlier unguarded statement? Did he thought the Yorubas would back down due to his statement?
Some Buhari appointee’s are daft, they sometimes carry out action without thinking bout the damaging effect. This is exactly what happened with Sowore arrest that beamed the searchlight of the int’l bodies on them.
Now he is trying to do damage control after all the media frenzy that followed his pronouncement.
Mr Attorney, whether you like it or not, Amotekun is here to stay. The best thing for the FG is just to support it so we can move to the next chapter.
That reminds me. President Jonathan once called some prominent Nigerians elites touts. I believe we all know who he was referring to then.
You guys think the French Government will fold its arms and allowed itself be ridiculed and sent out of the continent like that? My worry is Nigeria's leaders are not thinking beyond filling their pockets at the expense of their owns citizens blood, toil tears and sweat. The citizenry is deeply divided along religious and ethnic lines and the despot up there seems to be carried away by frivolous non benefiting foreign trips and junketing around the world in the name of medical check up.
Ansaru deen is the terrorist organisation affilliated to ISIS but based in West and North Africa that has waged its own Jihad in Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Guinea and Cote D Ivoire. They were repelled by the French special Forces and they spilled over to the rest of the West Africa after their failure in that region. But they destroyed various Islamic sites in Timbuktu.
The last we heard of them is they are currently discussing with the French Government to reach a deal. No one knows the content but the dream of the French and Americans want to break this country in order to havve unfettered access to our Natural resources.
Dewaldg56: I encountered this huge creature while driving through new road axis of sapele Delta State. As at when I got there it was already killed. I thought to share with you guys because if I don't some peppersoup loving Nigerians in this platform will not be happy with me
orisa37: Catholics are not yes men. Catholics provoked Christianity out of Isaacism. It's like squeezing the Honey out of the bees. The Jews didn't like it till date. The Jews infection affected the Ishmaelites. And that is why the WRITER of the QURAN couldn't differentiate between ISLAM, MOSLEM AND MUSLIM.
naptu2: Here’s why senior catholic figures are cautioning Father Mbaka (By Naptu2)
(Please, don’t just react to the title of the thread or to what you think the thread is about or to what you’ve heard before. Try and take some time to actually read the posts and understand what’s written in them. Thank you).
Father Camillus Ejike Mbaka has caused controversy in the past 20 years by hobnobbing with politicians and predicting the winners of governorship and presidential elections. This led to serious controversy in 2018 when he had a verbal altercation with Mr Peter Obi, the vice presidential candidate of the PDP.
Many senior figures in the Catholic Church have often cautioned and criticised Father Mbaka because of his political activities. Here are some examples:
Some people have claimed that these bishops only criticised Father Mbaka because they support a different candidate from the candidate that Father Mbaka endorsed. Is this really the reason? Of course it’s not. So what’s the reason for their criticisms?
Basically, their criticisms are based on Canon Law. Canon Law is the code that guides the behaviour of priests and other ministers in the Catholic Church all over the world. Canon Law states that:
These sections have always been interpreted to mean that priests must not tell voters who to vote for. They must not get involved in partisan politics that supports one candidate against another, except with the permission of their bishop.
This does not mean that priests cannot be involved in politics at all. Priests can criticise governments, condemn corruption, advocate that government should help the poor, etc. They can also vote in elections, but they must not tell their congregation to vote for politician Y or to vote against politician X. This is because it is believed that the Catholic Church exists to serve all people, no matter the party you belong to or what race you are and so the church must not be seen to be promoting one group over the other or dividing the congregation. Basically, the Catholic Church is politically neutral.
This is the reason for the criticism of Father Mbaka, because he seems to be supporting one candidate over another and this is against Canon Law.
Due to this, the Catholic Bishops Conference barred all priests from supporting politicians ahead of the 2019 elections (see second post below).
After the altercation between Father Mbaka and Peter Obi, the Church issued another warning to priests and banned them from allowing any politician to use any pulpit, altar or church property to make political statements. (see third post below).
This is a very serious issue around the world. The Catholic Church in America also issued directives to priests ahead of the 2016 election over there (so other posts below) and some Catholics in the US also complained (ahead of the 2012 election) that some priests and bishops were using their pulpits to campaign against Barrack Obama.
This is not the first time that the Catholic Church in Nigeria is facing this kind of challenge, neither is it the most serious case.
President Ibrahim Babangida appointed two Catholic priests to the Constituent Assembly in 1989 (this is not against church law). However, one of those priests, Reverend Father Moses Adasu, decided to get involved in partisan politics. He asked his bishop for permission to contest the Benue State governorship election on the platform of the SDP. The bishop (in obedience to Canon Law) refused to grant permission to Adasu. Father Adasu contested anyway and he was excommunicated by the church.
Father Adasu went on to become the civilian governor of Benue State from January 1992-November 1993, when General Sani Abacha removed all civilian governors from office.
Years later, Father Adasu was reinstated as a Catholic priest (the Church is meant to be a forgiving church).
Thanks for recalling history. Some people might not know and will not ask why the Catholic church barred its priests from politics. These are clear examples. Now we know better.
zionmde: u are a lady who should know better as to leave ethnic bigotry for fooolish guys. unfortunately fooolishness might be running in ur lineage, who knows?
What makes you think its only a tribe that will kill a human being for money? How about the Ibadan Group who have been in the news lately? Stop this tribalism, People are hungry in this country and they will do anything to survive. Even kill.
GeoAfrikana: What they've said isn't up to a hundredth of what your people have said about other Nigerian tribes. Go and see crap one your women typed in a thread of a beheaded boy.
kakakibuy: Spark plugs do need changing The advent of electronic ignition and on-board computers has eliminated the need for regular tune-ups, but you still need to change your spark plugs. Many manufacturers recommend changing plugs every 30,000 or 40,000 miles (48,000 or 64,000 km) to ensure good fuel mileage and engine performance. Some new cars come with long-life plugs (sometimes called double platinum plugs) that can last for 100,000 miles (160,000 km). If your car isn’t so equipped, make the switch after 30,000 miles. The extra cost is only a few dollars per spark plug. While you’re at it, change your spark plug wires as well. Their typical life is 50,000 miles (80,000 km). Deteriorated wires can cause those high-tech new spark plugs to foul.

the narrative is changing , yesterday they said fulani men ran away and left their cows , today they are saying the residents seized the cows
either way , as long as nothing happens to the cows , there won't be conflicts whatsoever
IMO , it's better how the cows were seized or taken somewhere , the Seriki of those herdsmen will have to go and negotiate with that baale so they herdsmen can pay for the damages , Yes , i have seen cows damage crops , i have been involved in resolving a dispute like that, it's not always pretty
I pray they resolve the issue amicably , no cows will be stolen or killed in retaliation that's certain , nobody will drive the herdsmen away from the town
But more importantly when farmers and residents want to claim damages to their farm, i hope they do it with fear of God
I see some idiots calling war , blood spill , some even are calling the Ondo people slaves
Well, Yoruba race is not a race of idiots or slaves, we always prefer reasonable resolution and by God you will all be put to shame
I will keep this brief and short.. Ignore any typographical error, please.
I have this boyfriend, we've been dating for years now. The thing is, he doesn't last long during sex, he's a 2 minutes man, as you people call it. There was a time, we had sex, less than 1 minute, yes, I mean less than a minute, just 3 or 4 thrusts and he released. He was shocked, sad and disappointed, I was shocked too. I was even the one cheering him up, not to be sad, that everything will be okay, that's not his fault, he just wore his cloth and left.
This is someone I want to marry, we will soon do our introduction and wedding, and I don't want our sex life to be boring, we are not enjoying s*x at all, and I don't want to cheat on him... We love each other so much.
Please, anybody that has experienced this before, or know how to stop it should advice me on what to do, its not making me happy neither is my boyfriend happy too
Your advice will be appreciated.. Thank You.
take him to urologist. Sometimes men may have some slight changes that may the alter their healthy lives.
ibechris: I have been doing it for the past 7years and today,I am absolutely fulfilled. I actually started very low in 2012 and I have been able to grow my capital to the tune of 35million. The inflow has been consistent for all these years. Caveat is; do not give above 10% otherwise u might loose all ur cash and another thing is that u have to be mentored before u can venture into this kind business.
I started it while working in the Bank and I had to resign because I got another job that was less stressful. U could do it if u are interested.
I need a loan of up to N1 million as working capital for my bakery. What are your requirements? I am located in Kaduna. Thanks.
Move it abroad and let it reach the N1billion mark. Haven't we as Nigerians been watching movies that portray even American law enforcement agencies as corrupt?
The Censors Board should give us another reason to believe.
thesicilian: The federal government of Nigeria won't be there in England to make favorable policies for the club's monopoly. RIP in advance to Arsenal FC.
palsenator: lol ,don't be olodo.... The EU Diplomatically will not come and to support US .. Germany blamed IRAN for this war , France said they won't cry over the death of a terrorist... you still there saying they won't support US. Once the sanction is effective, the EU will avoid Iran. Don't talk about Israel the crusader.. They are 100% America wen it comes to war. Israel is one of the most equipped country when it comes to Aerial war ,, even more than Iran. Diplomacy is another thing , Loyalty is their watchword..
