Boss why is the Land Rover Freelander that problematic? Most owners change the engines to the Toyota Camry 6 cylinder one? I really don't understand the logic behind that. Can you throw more light on that? |

Car Talk › Re: Range Rover Sports Club by rhames(m): 10:01am On Oct 24, 2019 |
sooperrescue: Hmm, good question. I have currently in my workshop 4 range rover sport cars for which the owners intend to buy engines from abroad and we are still waiting for them. I also have a range rover 05 that the owner bought a used x5 engine and it didn't work out because the engine had issues and so he wants to sell it for 500k and I have been tolerant of the car being there until it is sold. Any other car you find there is simply because the owners are not prepared or they are comfortable leaving the cars in the workshop because of the secured environment. There are some that we will need to search for their parts abroad like when we were looking for a gasket of a 2013 v6 sport. It took us 2 months to source for it. If your car is among the lot there and it has not been fixed, let us know . I should be the one complaining about the space being taken but every car is a challenge that has to be resolved. We have been to other major garages to pick up cars from them and their competence is not questioned. It is just a matter of choices. The brand is not receiving any support from the manufacturer here in Nigeria and the franchised dealer is not capable of satisfying the needs of the majority of the owners and so we act as the better option for the brand. We source for the best oil irrespective of the price and we are also equipped with the latest softwares with Internet enabled access to download softwares that are relevant to the cars. We are always upgrading the softwares in the cars to ensure that it serves the owners well. In today's repair market, the internet is very vital whether we copy or paste, everything is done on the net. There was a time when we used to pay 80usd for a 24hrs subscription to jlrsdd server and you still go through the internet. The resale value of the car has gone down and sometimes, the owners are not bothered with giving their cars the best. I have a particular car that we went to pick up from another state and it's been 2 months now and the owner is sending money in bits and begging for more time to pay for the major work. All things being equal, the cars are fixed when the owner wants it fixed. There's a car that I have finished having overheating issues and the owner is not comfortable paying my bill. He was not even happy buying Castrol for 25k a gallon of 5 quarts. To him, Mobil 1 is OK .The car is still in the workshop waiting for him to come and pick it up and when you see the same car in the workshop, you are right to assume that it has not been fixed. Maybe we will start to put stickers on finished vehicles to differentiate the awaiting process of the other cars. And you have to praise our initiative because even the brand in the US cannot satisfy the new cars owners with their wahala especially for the Evoque but we are on top of the game. And our counselling is due to the experience that we have gathered over the years. We have been fixing the brand for 7 years now and if we are able to resolve 70 percent of the cars brought to us, then we have passed, passed very well. But we are not resting on our oars, as you can see from the time that we are responding to your question, we are reading, we read a lot to be able to find answers to the myriads of problems that the brand is facing here in the country and proffer solutions to resolve the agony being faced by the owners. The brand is the only car that is still on the road as at today despite the bad fuel and oil. It will surprise you to know that people are using Mobil hxp to service the car, that people want to change one bushing of the lower arm and change the other one later. The signs of the times we are living in. Thanks for your concern, we will improve on our time factor and hopefully become the best team for the brand in the nearest future. Good morning. I praise your calmness and maturity in answering this question. Otherwise, we would have seen tantrums flying all over the place. I will like to visit your workshop one day, I am based up North nut wikk come in before December. Keep it up sir. |

opportunes: The Senate yesterday urged the Federal Government to formulate a policy to integrate Almajiris into the educational system to discourage them from street begging. This followed a motion by Senator Sankara Abdullahi and 26 other senators on the menace of street begging and need to rehabilitate street beggars. Abdullahi said begging in Nigeria appears to be intractable and overwhelming as beggars are now found everywhere .
He said beggars in recent times appeared to be a new trend of beggars popularly known as corporate beggars. According to him, street begging does not only affect geographical and social structure of urban areas, it also portrays the country in a bad image to tourist and foreign investors. He said street begging, had become a worrisome socio- economic challenge in addition to been a serious menace and liability on the Nigeria populace. He said the phenomenon takes a heavy toll on the lives of teenagers, who engage in the act and and are therefore are out of school. Senators, who spoke on the motion described street begging as a major challenge. The senate therefore called on the federal government to set up vocational training centres to provide beggars with alternative means of livelihood thereby making useful to the society. (NAN)

Education › Re: UNN: 50-Year-Old Chimpanzee Dies In University Of Nigeria Nsukka Zoo by rhames(m): 7:10pm On Oct 02, 2019 |
gimmehear: The only surviving Chimpanzee, 50 years old, in the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) Zoo has died, Prof Chris Okoye, Head of Department, Zoology and Environmental Studies, has announced.
Okoye told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Nsukka on Wednesday, that the male Chimpanzee which died fortnight ago had been embalmed.
According to him, staff and students of the department feel bad that the only surviving chimpanzee in the zoo has died, though as a result of old age.
“As the tradition of the department, the chimpanzee has been embalmed and deposited in the department’s Museum for practical and for people on excursion to the museum to see.
“We do not eat or bury animals in our zoo when they die, rather we embalm and keep them in the museum,” he said.
The HOD said that the female chimpanzee, usually referred as the wife of this chimpanzee, died five years ago and since then the male chimpanzee had been lonely.
“Efforts to replace the female chimpanzee as well as some other animals that died in the zoo hit ‘brick-wall’ due to lack of fund,” he said.
On why zoos were gradually becoming extinct in the country, the HOD attributed it to low yielding revenue from zoos and very capital intensive to run and maintain.
“It costs huge amount of money to buy animals like chimpanzees, lions, and elephants as well as to feed them.
“The N50 or N100 collected at the gate from visitors as ticket is not even enough to feed these animals not to talk of maintaining them or getting a replacement when any of them dies.
“That may be the reason many people do not venture into zoo business because they know there is no profit in it; it is just for fun and sight-seeing.
He however said, zoo was very important as it provided protection for endangered species of animals as well as served as a place for people to get connected to nature.
“Zoos play important roles in wildlife conservation, research and education.
“Both federal and state governments should do something urgently to improve funding of zoos in the country else, in the next 10 years, zoos may completely go into extinction,” he said.

Which lady born of a woman who has tasted preek and even sexchatted will not want to taste preek after not eating it for 1year?
Are you just naive or did your mom accidentally drop you on your head as a baby?
Someone that used to tell you she's horrny no more feels horrny, a lady that used to initiate sexchats isn't keen anymore.
Someone that would yearn for you is warning you forehand that she may not want your VitaminD if you come?
She's full all of a sudden and you think she's full of the holy spirit.
That woman has been getting the best sex in the world...either from a man or even from a woman and that is even easier. But I blame you for keeping her for so long without sex forgetting that water must find it's level.
If she doesn't want sex from you anymore it could be out of love. I think she's contracted a killer disease and doesn't want you to catch it or the rather obvious fact that she's found love elsewhere.
Thank me later. Thanks my man. |

I have already started, and the business is doing well, but the issue is that demand for the bread outweigh supply, hence urgent need for expansion to meet increasing demand.

silverbirdng: The Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, has said former President Olusegun Obasanjo is the biggest problem of the country.
Akiolu spoke at the public presentation of Battlelines: Adventures in Journalism and Politics, a book by a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Olusegun Osoba.
The event held at the Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos and was attended by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo; Senate President, Ahmed Lawan; Deputy Speaker, House of Reps, Ibrahim Wase; APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu; governors in the South West, Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, former governors, ministers, diplomats, traditional rulers, among others.
Akiolu had referenced a section of the memoir where Osoba claimed that Obasanjo deceived the then governors of the Alliance for Democracy and Afenifere.
The traditional ruler said he had always believed that the former president was deceptive.
He added that the knowledge sustained ex-Lagos Governor, Bola Tinubu.
“The problem we are having in this country is this and I will continue to say it that the number one problem of Nigeria is Obasanjo,” he said.
