Anyways, I currently hold a Master's degree and I also recently gained admission into a PhD program in a UK university but with no funding from the school and the estimated total cost of the tuition and living expenses amount to about #16 million for the 3 years.

So, I decided to come seek the opinion of folks here with better experience if it really worth spending this amount in the long run or should I rather invest this amount?

Why not try Sweden or any of the Nordic countries with English language universities. They are far cheaper and you will save the cost of your course there than UK or any of the big European countries.

I have a boss who actually loves me. He likes me like a son and he always wants me to go out with him. We are actually very close pal.

There was a day he went out with his girklfriend. I was at home when my phone rang. He told me to bring 3k to where he was with his girlfriend. When I got there he told me to sit down and drink and eat dog meat with them. But I don't eat dog so I only drank one bottle. The lady and I later talked and I left them.

She came to our place this Wednesday. I was inside my room, she was just insisting that she wanted to see me. When I got there, she was just telling me my boss drinks a lot which is quite true but he dosent misbehave. That it is too much. As a guy man I covered up for my boss. And I left her and my boss.

Today we went to her shop. My boss ordered for drink for us. We started drinking. Later I went out, she followed me. We sat together and started talking. She started telling me that If she actually saw me first she would have dated me that she loves me that she doesn't like my boss. I was quite shocked and told her that since she is already dating my boss it is not possible. Then my boss and one of my other colleague with a lady came out and joined us. That was how we started gisting again. I had an important call to pick so I later entered her shop because the outside was noisy. That was how this lady came inside and kissed me. I was really shocked I have to run outside.

My boss and I later left her place for a burial where a friend of his (a lady) invited us to a burial. When I got there this lady started saying she really likes me that she wish she meet me earlier that she would have dated me.. That she really likes me a lot. My boss now jokingly asked me that I want to take all his girls from him. Mind you that my boss girlfriend calls me her husband even people close to her shop call me her husband.. And these ladies are way older than Me..

Please all I need from you guys is advice on what to do cause am confused.

There is also a married lady too that told me she wished she met me earlier that she would have dated me. And other older beautiful ladies. In their early and middle thirties and am just 23.

Euro 2020 has been postponed by one year until 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic, say multiple European football associations.

Uefa, European football's governing body, has been holding an emergency video conference involving major stakeholders on Tuesday.

The associations say it was decided the tournament will now take place from 11 June to 11 July next year.

The tournament was due to take place from 12 June-12 July this year at 12 venues across Europe.

The postponement provides a chance for European leagues that have been suspended to now be completed.

Before any sensible and right-thinking person supports or opposes this bill, there are very important things to consider before even considering such a bill. There are good and bad politicians. There are those who leave us in awe of their actions, especially these clowns from a state that has produced two military heads of state and still influential in the scheme of how the country works. The economy of Nigeria will continue to depend on generators for a long time to come till we have at least twenty to twenty-four hours of uninterrupted electricity which is not even possible now or in the nearest future.

The biggest surprise is that the Generator Ban Bill was sponsored by a doctorate degree holder, has worked in two places, a consulting company in the Niger Delta and retired as a Director of the Prestigious Central Bank of Nigeria. He, of all people, who are supposed to educate people on the problems of the power sector and the NERC regulations on the generation of power, happens to be the antagonist of the same policy of whom he is a beneficiary. I believe he has a power generator at home, so the law should start with him irrespective of his immunity.

it also shows the level of intellectual capacity of people in power and how they want to bring their retrogressive thinking to bear on the citizens of Nigeria who already have much burden to bear with.

Let us look at the numbers now.

Power outages in Nigeria started in the early seventies when Nigerian industrial expansion started as a result of stagnant and non-expansion of power utilities and monopoly of National Electric Power Authority which was run by the government. Industries across the country started to import diesel generators for use in order to cater for demand for their products and services. Rich residents also bought generators and for most residents operating small businesses within their houses as at that time. By the 1980s, NEPA was inefficient to the extent that they could not carry out their duties. As a result of its monopoly and inefficiency, many industries went moribund and some simply left the shores of the country to other sister African nations where they could invest their monies without additional investments in power.

Subsequent administrations from the 1970s did not invest at all in power until the Obasanjo Administration thought of the initiative in 1999 and started investing in the power sector from under 2000 to 10000MW capacity which was the target. These were to supplement the existing Hydro Power which was our main supply to gas-powered turbines, which the present administration consolidated upon to complete the leftover projects. Though there has been near-constant supply, the current capacity is still not enough to catch up with the rate of industrial expansion and population explosion.

Building a power plant can be compared to building and completing a high rise building. It takes years to build, test and put to use. Using the analogy of the Dangote Refinery, which is under continuous expansion with the consideration of it being the largest refiner, it has taken more than eight years to get to this stage. \Industrialists don't wait for government. They make their own energy plans as part of larger corporate plans because they are private sector and profit-oriented. A power station doesn't start turning in a profit immediately but after five to seven years. Until after recovering its costs then the prices will fall. The case of the telecoms companies comes in point.

If the largest industries gulp the current 10000MW which is not even enough to take care of their needs, bandied about by these government officials, there will be nothing left for residential building and small and medium scale enterprises, who will consume twice the power because of the following demographics.

Small and medium scale industries are not concentrated in a specific area but scattered within and outside residential and non-residential and business districts and even rural areas. Some of their locations don't have access to the public power supply and that's another reason why they need generators to power. Not just generators, transformers and other electrical items.


Currently, small, medium and large scale industries will suffer if this outrageous Bill is passed because they are the largest employers of labor in the country and still growing despite harsh economic policies and an unfriendly operating environment. They are still keeping millions of Nigerians employed. How does the bill intend to give them power for their industries keeping in mind the bill will keep them from using a generator which the lawmakers want to criminalize? By criminalizing the use of generators, a lot of small scale industries will close up and lots of Nigerians especially the youth will lose their jobs. This will result in a sharp spike in criminal activities.

If I may ask, can anyone name a single economic or financial policy document sponsored, suggested or written by Dr. Enagi throughout his years as director of Central Bank Of Nigeria?

I am surprised that the former CBN director now turned senator and a doctorate degree holder who should be able to educate people on the under-capacity of the power sector to deliver rather than sponsoring a sentimental and non-feasible bill that will only regress the little economic progress made.

Where did it occur to Mallam Junaid that the descendants of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II cannot become Emir in Kano again? The sons and grandsons of SLS can still lay claim to the title when it becomes vacant irrespective of the current conditions of their patriarch.

The same was said when Emir Muhammadu Sanusi I was dethroned and sent to Azare in the 1960s.
