habeny: Good afternoon, am a 26 years old lady and am getting married next month, but anytime I have an argument with my fiance he insults me,telling me am a fool, an idiot, etc, have tried to correct him several times but he doesn't see anything wrong with it, just this morning we had an argument and he started again calling me all sort of names. Am starting to get really scared, because if he's doing this when we are engaged what will he do to me when when we are married A man is at his kindest when he is dating you. After marriage, the road is a downhill slope without speed bump. If you think he will change when you get married, you are right. He will change into his real self and turn you into a punching bag. You should consider yourself lucky that he is revealing his true colours before marriage. Most men manage to conceal that quite well until you exchange the vows. My guess is that he is stuck to you because of his parent's pressure. Just make sure you know what you are entering before you do. Marriage is a one-way street to continued happiness or glorified hell. |

Islie: Evans break down in custody
http://thenationonlineng.net/evans-breaks-custody/ Hard to believe some of this rubbish. You declare somebody wanted for over 3 years, yet he is living in broad daylight in Lagos. Does he not visit clubs and banks and airport and public places? Did he get a plastic surgery make up or something? How do you pay someone $1m four times and still be unable to trace the money and apprehend the culprit? The Nigerian police and EFCC and DSS are quick to capture journalists because they report against the government and yet cannot apprehend a common criminal that has been terrorising the public for over 5 years. This is the bane of our society. They feed you all these horse shit and assume that we all are idiots. Who supplies this bastard with AK47 and ammunition? Are these sold in the supermarket? How is it that he Nigerian customs can fish out rice importers but cannot identify arms importers? Who informed him to relocate his family to Canada just days before he was apprehended? This Evans has been able to operate in broad daylight because he has been working together with some elements of the police who have been providing him with cover, ammunition and fire power. The decision to send in a crack squad from Abuja is the next step when IGP realises he cannot trust his state command any more. High profile kidnapping like this cannot succeed without the implicit collusion of some elements of the police. And until we address that aspect, we will continue to chase shadows. It is about time that the IGP and the Chief of Army staff set up a crack squad dedicated to apprehend and quelling kidnapping and armed robbery. Also, the likes of MTN and our banks should be compelled to play an active role in combating this menace. They move the money and also enable these truants to communicate over the phone. |

PrettyCrystal: Imo State Police commissioner, Chris Okey Ezike has derived insinuations in the social media that the families of the slain policemen who died at the armed robbery attack at Zenith Bank Wetheral Road have been abandoned saying the Nigeria Police still look at the slain officers as herves of the force.
In a press briefing at the Imo State Police headquarters in Owerri, CP Ezike said all the entitlements of the slain police officers of the February 22, 2017 robbery attack will be paid, saying many organizations and well meaning Nigerians have identified with the police force and families of the affected slain officers.
The police Boss recalled that, the incident went viral and gained public attention early June immediately the 2.58 minutes Closed Circuit Television Camera (CCTV) footage video which captured the moments of the robbery, was released to the public. However, he averred that, a total of three police officers were involved, while Sergeant Sunday Agbo and Sergeant Chukwudi Iboko died a day after following gunshots injuries they sustained during the attack, but another officer, Sergeant Muran Otu Attang, lost one of his eyes and equally sustained gunshots injuries but alive.
The Imo State CP, Ezike, described the slain cops as heroes who would never be forgotten. According to him, the Inspector General of Police have taken a keen interest on the case which went viral, saying the IGP have instructed that all the entitlement of the slain officers must be paid and the officer who sustained bullet injuries be given adequate medical attention.
He recalled Nigeria Police Force is a Federal government agency governed by laws, rules and regulations in all matters, including financial matters, stating that the rights, entitlements, benefits and even privileges of these our own officers shall be fully paid, and on time. The two deceased officers were recommended for posthumous promotion, while the survivor officer greatly injured was also recommended for a promotion to the next rank.
He confirmed to media houses present that the Zenith Bank has pledged to bankroll the education of the slain officers children at every level, including giving monthly allowance to the families. He emphasized that the bank took care of the burial expenses of the victims. Also the bank pledged to take responsibility and the bill for full medical treatment of the survivor officer, Sergeant Muran Otu Attang who will be going for skull surgery.
He used the occasion to thank the coming to the aid of the force and family of late Sergeant Iboko by a Nigerian leaving abroad, Mr. John Ekweanuo, the founder and president of Sparvi Charity foundation worldwide who sent the sum of five hundred thousand naira (N500, 000.00) through a blogger, Mr IfeanyiCy Njoku to be handed over to the late officers wife, Mrs Rose Iboko. According to Mr John popularly known as SKJ, the founder of Sparvi Charity foundation, he said that he was touched after watching the bravery displayed by the late Police officer, and decided to support his family by making the sum available.
Meanwhile, CP Ezike confirmed the arrest of three of the armed robbers, Justice Ogbonna alia J. J, Abiye Charles and Okechukwu Nwaebo alias Modestus while another member is still at large. He thanked good spirited individuals, Organisations and Nigerians who have shown understanding in the issue and their support.
