CelebritiesRe: Ademola Ariyo Is Dead. Kidney Disease Kills Cinematographer (Photos) by richiepolymer(m): 4:28pm On Jan 25, 2018
Amagite2:
Nigerian cinematographer, Ademola Ariyo, who shot evergreen movies like Osuofia in London, Blood money, Igodo, Goje africa and more, has died after battling kidney disease.

Big brother Naija Bisola's baby daddy, Olanrewaju Malcolm who has been sharing photos of him on his hospital bed, soliciting for help on social media for him shared the sad news on his Instagram page last night.

He wrote;

"Its so sad to say this at this point, but ppl Ademola Ariyo eventually gave up life today!!!!! For those that supported him, we pray God almighty wil bless u all abundantly. And for those that wanted to help and couldnt, we pray God all mighty bless u as well. May his soul rest in peace!!!!!!!"

Ademola Ariyo was down with stage 5 kidney failure, and needed 12 million for a transplant, but unfortunately, the money wasn't realized.

May God grant his soul peace.
I hope this blogger will tell all those idiots who flaunt their billion naira wristwatch, cars and houses to use their so called money to impact humanity. But no, they will rather live a purposeless life fulfilling the list of the flesh not remembering the day of reckoning.

One of the major problems with Gas plants in Nigeria is that they are manned by incompetent and unqualified hands. A stark illiterate will always be employed to work in sensitive environments like that what do you expect? Take record of all the Gas plant accidents we have had in the past, its the same problem. Why must this continue? Because Gas plant owners want cheap labour. In the end, the losses are unquantifiable.

PoliticsRe: The Best Developed State In South-South Region? by richiepolymer(m): 3:28pm On Dec 20, 2017
First, I'll say Rivers is no.1....we all know why.
I've been to all South South states and I'm from the South South. Delta and bayelsa will come last. Those states don't have infrastructure to match the allocations they get. Edo which many are down playing is actually far better in terms of development. Edo is making huge IGR as a gateway state and also in solid minerals and mining. Akwa ibom can boast of a lot of investments apart from oil and they haven't fully taken advantage of those investments yet. Cross river is another state that hasn't been able to sustain the dreams of Donald duke. Tinapa is a shadow of itself and it seems the light now ends only in Calabar. Bayelsa is just a disappointment despite all the funds going there. Bayelsa should be the Abu Dhabi of the South South but they care less.

So,
Rivers
Akwa Ibom
Edo-Cross river (tie)
Delta
Bayelsa

An Edo state I was born into.....I'm hearing all of a sudden of a fishy Ijaw as part of the state? Una try. Bayelsa was created for Ijaws to stem the incessant troubles of Ijaw and their hosts.

Just sent you a pm

abeeolars:
Goodmorning Guys,

This thread has been very helpful i must confess. I was interviewed yesterday morning and i got the VISA. So here is a little way to give back and say thank you. First of all i want to say a big thank you to everyone who comes back here from time to time to drop their transcript, a big thank you to OMOLUABI for the series of mock, also to my whatsapp nairaland group members, especially Dupsaw and Therighteous for their own mock interviews and advice too. It felt like a small family with you guys and i pray that every member of our whatsapp group gets their visas as well.

Ok, i left my Ikoyi apartment around 4.15am, i said my final prayers, ordered for taxify and by 4.30am i was at the embassy. I was the first person to arrive and it felt super cool, infact it felt like i won a medal LOL. I actually wore my best suit, best shoes, and i was looking all corporate, and i felt so confident. I had already read here to ignore those embassy touts, so i didnt even pay any attention. People started arriving at about 5am and by 6am the embassy was filled up.

I did try as much as possible to maintain my front area position, fast forward to 6.30am, two officers came out from the embassy and told us to form a queue, chai some fast guys took my front position. Anyways i was amongst the first batch and i did all the necessary finger prints and i was later directed to the white guy at Desk 1.I noticed some mistakes that some people made that i will like to address; when you get to the embassy, dont go about making new friends, gisting and hanging around, it may cause you some distraction, just focus on the mission at hand, also dress sense is also important as your appearance counts alot, for the Men, try to get a clean haircut and a clean shave, remove all those beards, dress in a manner that the VO will be convinced that you are a responsible fellow, dont come wearing some canvas and looking hipy, or some random outfit, for the ladies too dress like someone who is going to a higher institution for professional studies.

My transcript goes thus-

VO- Goodmorning
ME- Goodmorning Sir

VO- Kindly pass me your I-20 and passport please.
ME- Have it Sir.

VO- So i can see you are going to Sulross state university for your Masters degree in business administration?
ME- Yes, i am going to Sulross state university at Alpine in texas for my MBA.

VO- Why the career change from Agricultural Economics to Business Management?
ME- While i was in the university i realised that i had a strong passion for discovering and promoting young entrepreneurs, and also organising
events. I have discovered and promoted over 300 startup brands here in Nigeria so upon graduation i realised that this was what i wanted
to do for the rest of my life.

VO- (Now he looks straight at me in the eyes and i starred back at him) So how will an MBA help you in this choosen career?
ME- The MBA will help me in acquiring the needed professional skills for a successful business career. It will also
help me to learn and network with a diverse class of people who would have come from different parts of the world.

VO- Did you apply to any other school?
ME- Yes, i also applied to Texas A&M University at Commerce.

VO- Did you get in?
ME- Yes i was also admitted.

VO- So why Sulross?
ME- (He stares at me again) Well, i had been in close contact with *chai i forgot the professors name ooo so i came up with a name* Dr Bleep she
heard about what i have been able to achieve with my startup business here in Nigeria and she has agreed to offer me mentorship to
inorder to become a better business Man (thanks to Dupsaw for that line). Also Sulross state university is very affordable for a state
university and considering the quality of education they offer.

VO- Did you write any tests?
ME- Yes, i wrote TOEFL and GRE.

VO- What did you score?
ME- Toefl 82, GRE 281

VO- Who is sponsoring?
ME- My Dad.

VO- What does he do?
ME- He sells and import cars and he is also into real estate.

VO- Do you have any statement to show you have enough funds for your first year?
ME- Yes. *sharp sharp i brought out all the documents, na em i com dey find the statement oooo, lol cos i had printed out my personal bank
statement and that of my business, so i had about 3 different statements, the Man was actually waiting patiently for me. I later found my
Fathers statement hiding under one of the documents. He looked through for about 15 secs.

VO- He picked a white paper from his table, circled my pickup location. He didnt even say i will be approving your visa like i read from other
transcripts, he just said so you can pick up your visa in three days time, honestly, i didnt hear all the other things he was saying
afterwards.
ME- Thanks alot Sir. God bless. I packed all the scattered documents and i left.

Once i came out of the exit door, i looked up to the sky, i felt connected to the Lord at that moment and i felt he gave me a BIG smile back, i said "Thank you Lord". So i am going to the AMERICA grin

The Lord did it and i give him all the glory. I really practiced so hard for this, it reminded me of how much i prepared during those years i was writing ICAN back in uni cheesy

I wish you guys all the best.

You can drop your phone number if you need mock. x

Another good one on Tithing
By
Uche Kingsley
Over 2,000 years ago the people asked for Barabbas....
Today they are still asking for Barnabas...

They are asking for what their pastors will tell them today and Not what Jesus has been saying to them for 2000 years...!
They prefer Barabbas the armed robber, because they are also armed robbers in the closet. Birds of a feather. The heart of man desperately wicked!!

Wherefore has God said you should tithe in cash? Wherefore has God said to tithe any other, than Levi? Show me where in the Bible!

Another point of note is: how come out of the 613 biblical laws of Moses which were handed out to the people of Israel, it is only an adulterated version of the law of tithe that is still being practised today, apart from the Ten Commandments? How come we are no longer required to offer burnt sacrifices?
How come we no longer stone people to death for sinning?

The truth is that only tithing was dug out of the laws of Moses because it presents material benefits to the collectors of tithes. Given that most Christians do not study their bibles and depend on their priests to guide them through, it was easy for pastors to pick a passage in the bible (Malachi 3 : 8-10), quote it out of context and use it to manipulate the flock into parting with 10 per cent of their income.
Furthermore, it is worthy of note that neither Jesus Christ nor any of the apostles ever preached about or collected tithe.

In fact, in the bible, Jesus Christ only spoke about tithes in Luke 11:42 which states that: “But woe unto you Pharisees! For ye tithe mint and rue all manner of herbs, and pass over judgement and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.” Here we can see that Jesus Christ is rebuking the Pharisees for laying emphasis on tithes instead of the more important things of the spirit, like our pastors are doing today.

In Acts 15, we find outlined what the apostles all agreed was necessary for the newly converted Gentiles to practise, and by inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God, tithing is conspicuously missing.
Yet, what is one of the very first legislated duties taught to Gentile converts by the Church today? It is that they must tithe their annual salaries to the Church. Where did this unscriptural law of Christian tithing come from??

Abraham was Never a tither... Never!
And if the king of Salem becomes ever a reference, it is only laughable as Abram as he was known then, took what were Not his, the spoils of war, in which he gave a tenth to King of Salem and 90% to the King of Sodom...And in no way could giving out the whole 100% be called Tithing!

Moses was the one who made tithing a law, mostly for the landless Levites of which a tenth of a tenth goes to, not monthly, but every THREE years.. And Never in Money!!

Moses gave altogether, 613 laws...
Jesus gave only ONE, and no tithing in it!
The apostles gave 7 charges to Christians, No tithing in it.
Jesus in Revelation, gave SEVEN charges to the 7 types of Churches...No tithing in it.
Wherefore has this present day anti-God tithing practise come from!??
Of course it comes from same type of people who were asked to choose between Jesus and Barabbas... Today, they are still choosing Barabbas, because they are all closet THIEVES...
THEY ARE QUICK TO QUOTE A MINOR PROPHET, MALACHI, FORGETTING THAT THE GREATEST PROPHET, MOSES SAID SPECIFICALLY NEVER TO TITHE WITH MONEY!!!

The most Destructive part of this to Christianity which is against God and The Holy Spirit is the fact that Christ said in Mathew 11: 11, of John The Baptist and Not John The Tither, the man who preached Repentance and Not Tithing, "Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he."
Meaning he who is in Christ's Kingdom is greater than any prophet, but these pastors living and relishing in The Kingdom of The World and Not in Christ's kingdom will rather MAKE YOU TO COMPULSORILY PAY TITHES OF MONEY, WHICH IS NEITHER BIBLICAL NOR CHRIST-LIKE!

THE HOTTEST PART OF HELL IS RESERVED FOR THESE MEN OF THE WORLD AND NOT MEN OF GOD!

The Orthodox Jews, DO NOT TITHE ANYMORE... JEWS OF ALL TIMES, NEVER EVER TITHED MONEY, EVER!
What is now done in Israel is the pooling together of communal funding for societal development!!

I specifically asked, why they don't tithe anymore, and I was told, that since AD 70 after the destruction of Jerusalem and dispersal of all Jews, there are no more 12 tribes, no more Tribe of Levi, so no more Levites to tithe to...

Levites were not given any land in Israel. God says: “Instead, I give to the Levites as their inheritance the tithes that the Israelites present as an offering to the Lord.” (Numbers 18:24). But today’s pastors own lands and houses. Therefore, they do not live as Levites and should stop pretending to be Levites.
Today, everybody owns lands in Israel, No Levites, No Tithes!

Today’s pastors go back to the Old Testament to extract a curse on those who don’t tithe, insisting that tithers are automatically blessed. But in the New Testament, Jesus pronounced woe on tithers.
He says: “WOE TO YOU, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! FOR YOU PAY TITHE of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith.” (Matthew 23:23). How come the blessings tithers are supposed to get from tithing did not prevent the woe from coming to themhuh

TITHE-COLLECTORS ARE Deceivers!!!

CrimeRe: My Encounter With 'Dreaded' SARS Operatives In Lagos; Man Narrates His Ordeal by richiepolymer(m): 4:37pm On Nov 04, 2017
You guys were damn lucky.
My question is, why was SARS created in the first instance?
Do you know how many innocent blood SARS sheds every week in their office?
They pick up innocent people and heaven help you if you have nobody to call on.
When dare devil robbers show up, why is SARS never available to tackle them?
There is a way that seems right to a man but surely the unseen custodian of justice will have the final say.

ChangeIsCostant:
A Nigerian man has revealed his disappointment with operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) after his encounter with them yesterday in Lagos. The young man also revealed how he and his visiting friend were saved after putting a call to an Air Vice Marshall after their "illegal arrest". Read what Simon Utsu shared on Facebook.

Of recent, I've read zillions of narratives about the way the men of the Special Armed Robbery Squad(SARS) have been operating with reckless abandon and impunity. How they've turned a once respected unit of the Nigeria Police Force to a bandit of sophisticated armed robbers, assassins, ritualists, rapists etc. Never did I envisage I would/could fall into their 'trap'.

An old and very close friend of mine came visiting yesterday. At about 11:30pm, we stepped out to get some takeaway somewhere in Lagos, a stone's throw from where I'm putting up. We had done that and were on our way home when dangerous looking SARS operatives operating with a commercial bus (Danfo) cornered us gestapo style, pointed assault rifles at us and commanded us to get in. I and my friend did so albeit with a degree of reluctance. In the bus, there were so many people wailing and begging to be let go. I'm sure 90% of them were innocent 'wanderers'.

A young lad in that vehicle was even crying about how he was heading home from a late church program, the innocence in his voice was palpable. So much and so little raced through my head. I had heard lots of stuff about them and braced myself for the worst even though I knew they weren't going to take I and my friend far- my good ol' friend was there of course!

He brought out his phone to put a call across to his elder brother but discovered he was out of call credit. My blackberry was off but luckily for me, my smaller phone was still on.

He dialled the number on my phone and after explaining briefly to his brother, he tapped the closest policeman to us and told him he would like him to speak to his elder brother, who is an Air Vice Marshall(Major General equivalent). That was our 'saving grace'.

The policeman in a bid to exonerate himself and his team, lied to the AVM that we arrested because we were caught in a red-light zone. Needless to say, we were immediately let off the hook.

‎I'm now of the opinion that SARS should be disbanded asap. The deadly looking guys I saw yesterday don't deserve ‎to serve as law enforcement officers; they would operate better as assassins or armed robbers. Save for the intervention of a senior military officer, I would have been coughing out a non-refundable 50,000 Naira(minimum) 'bail bond' today.

My advise to Nigerian road users, take your safety into your hands and let you God do the rest. Whenever you see container trucks, don't even drag the road with them. Give them as .such distance as you can. I can't for whatever reason feel comfortable driving alongside a truck in Nigeria.
Does FRSC or VIS test the trucks on the roads? Do they care?

If you plan to use WES evaluation and your school converts your records to direct entry in your transcript, WES will request the records that led to exemption of your 100 level. So think about it.

lasthero:
Hello my nairaland family. Please I need advice.

I am having a pathetic situation with my school for over 2 months now. I applied for official transcript from academic unit and I was told that they could not find my 100level results. I
Was told to go to my department and tell them to resend it. On getting to my department, they also said they can't find my 100level results. They have been searching for over 2 months according to them and yet no positive results. This same school graduated me 5 years ago and issued my original BSc certificate.

I have cried to both academic unit and my faculty to help me and not spoil my life as I can't meet up with spring 2018 again, I don't want fall to pass me by and my official transcript is the only delaying factor to the schools I have applied to.

After I have disturbed my faculty severally, the secretary is suggesting that they should convert me to direct entry student instead of jambite and with that, I won't need my 100level results. But my concern is that I failed a course in 100level which was re-written in 2nd year. Won't that be a red flag to schools I am applying to?,. Seeing just one first year result in a transcript?.

My family is suggesting we sue the school and the department to court. Won't this complicate issues further?. I'm just confused. It pained me that I couldn't meet up with spring. I don't want to miss the next fall.
CrimeRe: Married 'Lovers' Who Were Found Dead In A Car In Lagos (More Photos) by richiepolymer(m): 8:48am On Nov 01, 2017
Now I'm thinking a possible cause of their death could have been a leaking evaporator in the AC system of the car. While they were having fun, they obviously turned on the AC. All thought the activity, the refrigerant R-134a would have been seeking through the evaporator coils into the main cabin of the car. Of course the car windows would have been shut sealing them in.
Now they continuously inhaled the R-134a till they became unconscious and finally cardiac arrest.

Now let's get reference from here
"Inhalation of Vapor

Problems from inhalation of R134a depend on the dose; small amounts will not harm the lungs. Acute inhalation of larger amounts becomes more worrisome, causing symptoms including temporary nervous system depression, with accompanying drowsiness, lethargy and insensitivity to pain. Prolonged breathing of vapors can cause cardiac irregularities, unconsciousness and death.

Concentration Levels

The vapor dilutes the concentration of oxygen in the air to levels low enough to cause harm. R143a vapor is heavier than air and could accumulate in low lying areas like vehicle maintenance pits. Enclosed areas such as repair bays could also accumulate vapors. According to the EPA, Long-term exposure at very high concentrations, defined as 50,000 ppm, has been shown to cause benign tumors in rats. Manufacturers recommend maximum exposure levels are well below the study levels, at 1,000 ppm."

There's no case here. Families die from generator fumes every month.

Families of the adulterous duo should go and bury their corpse.

To end the whole case, the police should carry out tests on the condom, the outer and inner parts, to know whose contents are inside and around it.

If confirmed, then it's a rester.

You people are learning too late. Now many of you have to accept the hard truth that you are dumb gullible humans who out of deafness and shameless ego will refuse any form of reason or wisdom from those who are more enlightened than you are. This is not happening only in the aspect of ponzi but also other aspects of life....religion, politics, business...name it.
For those who are not totally indolent, wake up and hasten to meet up with enlightenment and don't restrict yourself to that tunnel vision mentality.
Those who try to enlighten others are usually branded with bad names, occultists and stuff. Anyways the road to enlightenment is a lonely walk.
Many more will still be scammed.
Receive sense!

When people comment on issues they have no idea of, they either expose their ignorance or their biasness. Word of advice to empty skulls. Take the effort to search out anything and avoid preconceived notions.
