Politics / Re: Seven Remanded For Edo Assembly Invasion by richiepolymer(m): 11:55am On Aug 25, 2020 |
The man dies in all who keep silent in the face of tyranny. It is no news that Obaseki and Shuaibu led thugs to go vandalize EDHA because they feared impeachment. These useless brainless and cursed youths that keep allowing themselves to be used and dumped will never learn. They will still pay for the destruction from their pockets. Any commenter feigning ignorance about what happened and who led them, when it was all on the news when it was happening is only playing devil's advocate. Again, ask yourself all you who support these rubbish all because of Oshiomhole hate, is it worth it? Who's the destructive one here? Who truly has the interest of the state? Any popular candidate doesn't need to go as far as destroying state property for political reasons. 2 Likes |

I taya o. This has always been the problem with Auchi people. I still ask them that question till tomorrow, what happened to the Afenmai tradition attire? What happened to Etsako culture? At what point did they start dressing like Fulani? Make no mistake about it, Etsako people have no bearing with Fulani culture and tradition. If you go to other parts of Afenmai land you will see the true cultural attire there. Auchi own taya me o. Anyways, other parts of Etsako migrated from Benin. A few traders from Bida came to settle in present day Auchi and brought about their own influence which Auchi adopted. Most people confuse Auchi as the whole of Etsako or Afenmai and this is not so. The name 'Otaru' is a foreign word and not an Etsako word. Otaru is a corrupted version of 'Attahiru' which is from the north. callyik: 3 Likes |
Family / Re: Why you Shouldn't Leave Your Parents House When You're Not Capable by richiepolymer(m): 1:55pm On Jul 30, 2020 |
Well......I beg to differ on this subject. Somehow, humans don't tend to improve on their efforts if they find a comfort zone. If you remain under your parents, they will co tell your life and make decisions for you. Of course they are wiser and more experienced than you. They will use this to achieve their domination and manipulate you at will. The sad part is that you will loose your free will and personality. You can never be totally responsible while under your parents roof. So long they are footing most of the bills you can never make progress as a man. If you leave to stay under the bridge, believe me, you will turn out a better person if you are focused and determined. First reality will hit you knowing nobody will provide your next meal for you. Any job that comes your way you will gladly take just to make ends meet. Your life will start to have a sense of direction and purpose. At his point you will start to discover yourself, your strengths, your weakness and what you need to do to survive. I left my parents house without a job. My parents were very well comfortable and their pension could feed a family of 5 comfortably. I discovered I wasn't making any progress with my life while remaining under their roof. I wasn't lacking anything under them. I learnt a spiritual lesson and I decided to give it a try. As soon as I left their house, I used borrowed money to rent an apartment (imagine the risk), I told my God to prove me right or wrong that being independent is gainful and is progressive. After 5 months, I miraculously got a job that paid very well. I was so shocked what I was missing all these years. This is no Nollywood! This is experience, true life experience. I began to understand how I have been manipulated and controlled all the while. Today, I am the head of my home, the driver of the destiny of my life. I won't lie to you, it is better to leave your parents house and suffer to gain your respect and dignity than to bask in the comfort of your parent's house. Think about it. When you're responsible spiritually, the heavens will move for your cause. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Seaman Haruna, this matter is a touching one. To be honest, the armed forces is bastardized already. It hurts when you guys (Non commissioned officers) transfer the aggression on innocent civilians. It is in situations like these that you're supposed to bring your aggression and tact to bear. Na for my mouth you wan hear say you suppose tidy the so called senior officer? Use your tongue to count your teeth. Except God be for you, your case won't go anywhere. You are a soldier not a sissy! You fight everyday and your enemy could be your senior officer which you're serving, how do you choose to go about it? In this war, there are no rules. If I was in your shoes, hmm.....all die na die. If you know the case isn't going anywhere, pipe low and explore other avenues to fight. Ahoy! |
Education / Re: Private Schools Teachers To Protest On Monday Over Nonpayment, School Closure by richiepolymer(m): 9:43am On Jul 12, 2020 |
This matter is a sensitive one. I feel for the teachers as they have always been the ones at the receiving end. Now let's tell ourselves some hard truths. Private school owners are a wicked set of people. They have no conscience at all. You see schools charging fees to the high heavens and yet don't pay teachers a meaningful wage. You'll charge over 160,000 per head for school fees yet pay a teacher 35,000 as salary. This same teacher will be handling over 100 students. Is that fair? What's the justification for that? These are the reasons why teachers cut corners. Of course covid-19 has taught us all to ave multiple streams of income. The teachers should start thinking along those lines. The earlier we start to realize that in future, most classes will migrate to online mode the better for us all. Its a reality coming sooner than expected. Henceforth, the teachers should negotiate their salary according to the number of students they handle instead of just flat rate salary. Any private school that has refused to even pay half salary this period is just plain wicked. There wasn't any expense on the part of the school owners this period. They didn't spend on taxes, electricity...just security. What happened to all the money they've been making through the years? 1 Like |

You see why I usually laugh at those clamouring for Biafra? Who and who sat down in the south to agree to a biafra? How will the ethnic groups down south trust a biafra? What would be the structure? If in the south, ethnic groups are at each other's necks then where's the hope for their biafra? South easterners keep lying to themselves about a biafra knowing that land resources is a challenge to them. There are clashes between ebonyi & cross river, ebonyi & Benue, Abia & akwa ibom etc. How does this work when they don't see each other as brothers? These scenarios keep making Nigeria the unrivalled bride despite that we need a restructuring and system overhaul. 1 Like |

It's either some of persons hear are to dumb to read between the lines over Obaseki's case. Obaseki is done for! PDP learnt a hard lesson in Bayelsa with respect to discrepancies in credentials of candidates and Obaseki seems to have that problem. PDP won't dare take that risk with Obaseki no matter how popular anyone is claiming Obaseki is. Other political parties are now aware of Obaseki's credential problem, the courts too are now aware. The implication is that no political party will field him in order not to loose out completely in Edo guber elections. Let that sink in! All that talk of 'Edo is not lagos' won't hold water at all. So all the neophytes here should stop ranting. Politics is not as easy as ABC. Also don't forget, other parties have seen the way Obaseki treated his party leadership. They wouldn't want the same fate to befall them. All those who led Obaseki on will abandon him and go mend fences with the party for their own political future but Obaseki's coffin will be nailed properly. Let anyone challenge my analysis. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Let me remind y'all who were leading Obaseki on. This is the end of Obaseki politically. Politics in nigeria is a very dirty game and you must be willing to play ball. Obaseki no doubt was a technocrat and at the same time a political neophyte. Obaseki was brought into the APC by Oshiomhole himself, planted inside the APC and given governorship on a platter against every wish of the APC. All these even to spite Ize-Iyamu. Obaseki from day one already lost every moral right to claim sainthood and the good guy no matter what he claims to be fighting for. When Obaseki became governor, the next thing was to lump his fight with percieved power brokers and tax reforms together. Demolishing his oponents properties was to achieve what exactly? Then he refused inaugurating some house of assembly members too claiming they were not lyal? who is Obaseki again? A nobody! When APC started out as AC and then ACN, Obaseki was nowhere but these people he is fighting were the ones who built the party in the state. How dumb can he be? Did he think nairalanders and social media will make him win anything? Haba mana! Mr Obaseki again went about rubbishing Oshiomhole when he saw the handwriting on the wall that Mr Ugly won't back him for a second term. If you have so performed, you won't bother so much about a secong term. Mr Ugly is even appearing to be a better performer than Obaseki with the look of things. You say you expelled the man who brought you in from a party he laboured to build? Obaseki is a grand FOOL and those who led him on cannot deliver him from his political suicide. Every other party will be cautious when dealing with him which he doesn't know. PDP will milk every kobo from him which he has made as governor under APC and when he loses, APC will get their pound of flesh from him. In politics, loyalty is everything. You can disagree with your leaders but never ever try to rubbish them or bring down the roof of the same building that housed you. Bros said he has expelled a national chairman from his party and clowns were clapping for him. These same clowns which were secretly working for Mr. Ugly but Obaseki didn't as much as know it. Your eye go neat soon. Oshimole is not even the main problem of Obaseki, there are many players behind the scene who have declared war on Obaseki, Edo people should know this. For Oshiomole to pick the same Ize-Iyamu which he openly condemmned, then it should tell you how desperate this battle is. Shebi Obaseki is clean? let him prepare o because even if it is 1 naira he misappropriated, he is going to sweat! He shouls ask Ambode. Ambode was a performing governor whose wife brought him down both spiritually and physically, today Ambode escaped due to him being a french & swiss citizen amongst other citizenships which he bought before he left office. If you don't habe clout to fight political fathers, don't even start a war with them. If you do, nothing will save you. However you can disagree with them and balance things out. You can still perform very well as a governor and leave quietly. Second term is not by force. One term is what it takes for a truly patriotic politician to perform while in office, just 1 term! Obaseki should hurry now and pull every string he can to reconcile and beg for soft landing from the very national body which he said he had expelled. LandMann: |

Dele momodu, you are worse than a goat! All you who worship money at the expense of the progress of the land, you have your date with the reaper soonest. What has Tinubu achieved for Lagos which he has held captive since he was Governor? This is 2019 and yet lagos state can't boast of efficient transport system. Infrastructure is terrible, roads are zero. What is only perfect is agberoism, illegal taxation and oppression. That's his signature. If Nigerian youths don't want to be wise, they will suffer endlessly. As of today, shame has prevented many Tinubu supporters from complaining about total standstill of development in lagos state. |
