Just look at it this way...If they don't want you, then they don't deserve you...stand in front of a standing mirror..look at your self from head to toes and tell yourself that..try your best and believe it then you are ready to move on.....

Again try to watch out the kinda guys you got attracted to...it might be that u like the smooth talkers...Those ones that looks like they have arrived or made it...FYI, I never ask that you settle for chewing gum boys....If there are any re-adjustment you have to make, do it...

Do not beat yourself up...believe that your man is out there looking for you too..when both of you have found each other, don't forget this thread....Don't be like those ten Leprosy in the good book that forgot to say thank u ...remember to come and testify here on family section...and email us your well wishers our own share of the wedding cake. ...Good luck. ..
Family › Re: Living With Hypocrites; How Easy? by Richy4(m): 12:18pm On Sep 19, 2018
You don't really need to differentiate the scenario...a hypocrite is a hypocrite... Anywhere or everywhere they are....

If you can't avoid them, then you confront them when it concerns you..But avoiding them in a place of work is better than confronting them...

But hey... U are attaching much emphasis on religion a lot as if anyone that cries lord lord will enter heaven... if you are a Christian, at least you should have known why Jesus disliked the pharisees...My advice is that do not let anyone run you out of a religious gathering expecially when you liked the place...except when you have made up your mind to leave.
Family › Re: Living With Hypocrites; How Easy? by Richy4(m): 7:43am On Sep 19, 2018
You can't leave a religious group just because of a fellow ..There's something called keeping some one at "arms length"...Also when talking to them be polite but pass your message across in a firm manner..You can also politely challenge their ideas but make sure you got enough points...because they are always defensive and opinionated..

Also try your very best to decline any offer of gathering that has to do with hypocrites...Be it a party, bible study etc...

Also try and cultivate the habit of tuning off certain statement when you find yourself in the same gathering wit a hypocrite.. ( ie you are there but not there) If you have a talk active Girlfriend..this habit will come very handy...

If they push your button to hard.. tell them you have had it up to here with him/her grin

Though those days has gone when parents decides the tribe and places where their kids should get married....

Religion wise, The Good Book says Abraham told his servant not to get a wife from certain tribe

Even Isaac instructed Jacob not to marry from certain place for some reason...it's not a new thing..

Have you asked the young man why the mother was forbidden him from marrying from your side of town?

"Fumi" is another catchy name for a good daughter.... "Amina "is another good name...
" Hassan " I don't know if this one is a Foreign name or Hausa name but I like it.

Family › Re: Mature Advice Needed From Married Couples by Richy4(m):
What your family were trying to do to that boy's mental faculty is not good..imagine living with someone you call your parent only to find out that they were not. That is living with a false identity...

Yes u can make him live with u and treat him as a member of the family but when the time comes, you should tell him the truth..

There are busy bodies in every neighbourhood, Who knows what goes on in another person's house... They might tell their children.. and during heated argument, those children might say it the wrong way..imagine being called a "B" in public in a broad daylight....have your family ever thought of how that kid will feel finding that out like that...

As for his real mother, Don't u think that after finding out, the child will feel sense of rejection, abandonment..rebellious towards the mother? Especially when her presence was not registered in his life or when she gets married to a suitable person who mIght not want him around...

This is really a sensitive issue that required serious attention in which every member of the family including the real mother should partake in...
And it should be for the warfare of the boy...

Sorry OP.. I will suggest that you forget about your own selfish reasons for now about division of assets when your own kids starts rolling out...the inconveniences the child will cause your marriage..and put that little innocent boy in your shoes.... with an open mind, sit down with them and iron this whole mess out. ..who knows, you might be the voice of reason in that family over this issue...

Oh, you think she just started cheating on this man? A woman that started dating a guy at age 15 is naive to you? A woman so bold enough to copulate with another man in a hotel that is just a stone's throw distance from her husband's house don't have experience? A woman so bold enough to take it raw so much that she infected her husband with STDs 3ce in a year is not experienced? Oga you're on a long thing.

...and funny, you think she didn't have sex with other guys throughout her university days? She was probably preaching while others (including other married women) were jirating in nysc camp, right?

A woman that is capable of dating a man at age 15 is capable of doing anything. There is no better experience than that. Most of the ones you call experienced didn't even had such teenage effrontery.
I don't usually speculate my brother. ..I only deal with the facts before me...We don't really know if she was running around during the period when they were dating...
To be honest with you..@ 15, people do innocent dating.. @ 15, they must have been in SS2..Some times it was a harmless dating without sex involved...

In my opinion which does not count, I think the marriage will not work any more because trust is dead. And when trust is murdered, the marriage is as good as dead... even if they decide to stay like a roommate for the sake of the kid, where is the happiness...

Boredom is not an excuse to cheat. Most of our parents got married before age 20, so getting married at 25, even 10 is not an excuse to cheat.

Hoes are better experienced, yet the married ones among them cheat more. If you think your wife is not going to cheat just because before she met you at age 35, she's dated more than 17 men, then you're kidding. Remember, the more experience they got, the less likely you're gonna catch them cheat. Experience remains the best teacher in the game.
I understand what you were trying to say man. But what I can only say is that she was not mentally prepared age wise... Besides try watching one movie every time.. how would u know if movie B is better than A when you have not tried movie B...

give or take, she became 15, jump into a relationship and knows nothing about any other but this guy. .. She is bound to make mistakes when another voice speaks to her in a calm seductive manner... especially when there's a relationship misunderstanding at home. ..this is because she got no experience in dealing with such situations. .. in a relationship such things happens but mental maturity... That is knowing that u are in that institution for ever and no going back is what solves the problem. .."she did not test the waters " This is just a "carry over" that was not surpose to happen
Family › Re: My Wife Had An Affair!! by Richy4(m):
How old is this wife in question.. Let's say she is 25 like you, and you met in 2008, that means you were both 15 when you met.. and probably u were the only man in her life all those years. ..

She did not have time to grow up...meet others..make mistakes and correct it just like her age mates..because u were always there. ..

Are you sure both of u did not rush into marriage just because money was there to support both of u?. .

Maybe she got bored of you man.. do not ever think u did anything wrong. . One got to be mentally matured and prepared before one thinks about marriage... she wasn't ready.. you got option to divorce though... even the good book stipulated that one can divorce on the grounds of infidelity. ..

I have seen a lot of people saying forgive her... But will you ever forget? Will the trust be there? If she tells you she will be arriving @ 12pm and she arrives at 12:01pm... where do you think your mind will go?..and if she is in such a depressing marriage without trust she might try and contemplate suicide... If you search within you and u can't forget, just let her go.. or both of you can visit a therapist..

@richy

this isn't a bad scripted movie as you think
true he forcefully had sex with me and I'm hurt
I need to help myself first before thinking of what to do to him and that's why I'm here

did you read were I wrote that we were courting? we were working towards marriage but I indicated some of the hurdles I see

but things turned sour the moment he displayed this act.
you are right cos I visited. I shouldn't have and I blame myself .i wish I can rewind the
hands of time

thanks
I don't think this is the time really to seek sympathy from Nairaland. I will suggest that you go online and google how some survivals handle their sexual trauma/ rape ASAP..if u read through, u will notice that the survivors were feeling exactly how u were feeling now.. Some of the tips might be of help to u if u read it..

This is just an unfortunate circumstance that should not have happened....

Be strong you will pull through

This sounds to me like a bad scripted movie...

The dude raped u..and u chose to keep it bottled up...

You said u can't leave because u love him... ok

If you don't want to marry him, and the thought of marrying him has not crossed your mind what in God's name where you doing with him for one year?

You can't have all the package at a go dear.. you said he was financially ok, educated, promising.. etc but not God fearing.. I guess you were thinking that you might change him....and he ended up changing u..
If u loved him as u claimed, accept him with all his faults.. don't let any one decide for you whom to be with..

If you don't want him, you should have ended it long time ago.end it.. don't marry him because you were no longer a virgin...that will be suicidal..
A lot of men would still want to be with you not because of your virginity...

Please next time don't go to a man's house when you know that you won't play ball even if he is an angel.. always meet at a public space.. even when you were hugging him, give some room for Jesus between the two of you..
