People say a lot of things when they are not provided with data. There is no way the country can afford it at the rate which is like 25UScents a liter . At least it should be on par with CBN dollar exchange rate.
That said - I am trying to see where in the budget for the past 10 years an allocation was made simply for subsidy. I don’t see.
We are spending more than we make.

We need to make a lot more money. There are a lot of people working in the civil service , defence, airports that are just getting a pay cheque with no actual task.
We should be emulating India and China and not America . We need to make the country attractive to investments that is why blindbat said he would look into the double tax .
There are lots of IT and customer service jobs that are in india that could have relocated to Nigeria but insecurity, trustworthiness robs us of billions.
It’s not coming back . We have to learn to live without

Hmm, the government should say this is the maximum you can charge. You can’t trust the Nigerian to set the price by themselves . So if I import 6Million barrels , I’ll get it cheaper than someone who imports 2million barrels. I can also therefore run the competition out of business by charging a lower price or work with my competitors in charging a higher price .

I’ll tell you a story . My brother and I are 3 years apart so growing up we shared a room . I took the top bunk and he lower bunk. I have a different smell than he .
In any case we have been going at it for a while and then I dared him to not sleep on my bed . The fight lasted 2 mins as I brought out my cutlass to slash at him. He said no instruments so I kept my cutlass and started punching. Before we did I punch the wall with my bare knuckles to let him know that I would destroy him . My mom was shouting … my Sister held my waist begging me not to kill him . When my punch connected , it cracked his ribs sending him sprawling to the ground . My rent is average rent for where i stay, its a two bed flat, i use the other room for home office..

Feeding is N2,000/day.. its not anything out of the ordinary.. tried cooking and spent more with time wasting.

Fuel for car is at the new rate of N500/ltr, my car is a 70ltr car tank..

Auto maintenance is basic brake pads, shocks, service 2mths, tire guage, police pr, tire purchase if any, minor touch ups etc... nothing major.

Fuel for generator is 20ltr/day (2hrs or less daily)

I need help.... how are you people doing it, what am i doing wrong? The rat race is killing me..

I love your breakdown . It shows some of you are listening to what people have been encouraging you to do .

Some eyebrow raising issues though.
1. It appears you are living beyond your means .
You are supposed to plan around your budget so for starters your living quarters is too expensive. Your lifestyle is too expensive. You can save when you are in the plus not negative .
A 100,000 a month on a 400,000 month salary.
Your vehicle should be for weekends only and not on daily use so carpool with someone.

Now what would solve the issue without cut backs is if you were living with someone so that you can share the bills 50/50 or 60:40

Was not a fan of fuel subsidy removal but after listening to Mele Khari talk, it is clear that its implementation made sense but its removal makes greater sense. Yes, this is one of the many ills our fathers passed down to us
1. Corruption
2. Oil dependency

If oil subsidy cost 2.8 trillion over 2 years. ( from February 2021 through to June 31, 2023) ( 1.4m yearly )
When revenue for the country is just 5.8 trillion. How do we pay for “ free “
Education & Health , Defence, infrastructure, debt servicing, debt principal itself.
This was doable when we just under 100m but since 2000 we are over populated. Census now at 160m plus 20m living outside the country.

One of many problems continues to be how we share , disseminate information. President says Fuel Subsidy is gone but does not explain concrete steps when it will be removed , how the masses will be compensated and why it had to be removed.

Why would you start off your campaign with such a divisive move. Usually most countries have short term goals like first 100 days in office and long term goals .

Now we just recovered from Bad Naira redesign policy where Nigerians had to pay in order to access their money 🤷. Now they have to content with highly inflated prices at the pumping station with fuel these stations paid at a subsidized price. 🤷.

I don’t understand this o . Why didn’t the Supreme Court rule in this before the swearing in . The elections were 3months ago. Unless it is proven that he ( BAT ) was complacent in rigging ( I mean he’s hand was in the cookie jar ) there no way a president will be removed.
