horsepower102:Mention the one we had that had good antecedents but rigged out. If it is HE Obi,he was a failure in Anambra but did well in Education fairly because he owed teachers 13 months salaries and schools were locked for those periods. |
horsepower102:And how do you know a good leader, sir? Is it not by their antecedents? |
It is just a forecast. Nigeria will still be the first economy in Africa. Bookmark this. It is God's doing. He is the Exalted. |
SE and slavery are like 5&6 ![]() |
Bestmanfornow:Yes,indeed. ![]() Anambra okpoko slum.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXxaS62v5-o Anambra https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXxaS62v5-o Anambra https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPnutBpOllw Anambra https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=512d4hHOpF8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4l0nLq69W8 |
Bestmanfornow:That was a Fayose propaganda. How will Yoruba send people to SEsterners who do not know how to build and sustain businesses. Name one Igbo business that is up to 35 years. None,They have all crumbled because of Igbo laziness and incompetence. Yorubas have businesses that have lasted for more than 120,100,90 years and still counting. Would you learn from an incompetent person? |
No wonder SW was and is the most developed, richest, exposed and most progressive region in Africa. It has the highest number of migrants from other region especially SE region. |
nairalanda1:SW is free region. |
I am watching the news now. It was 3 drones that Israel used and Iran said all were shot down.No damage. They should de-escalate pls. |
It will crash to #200 shortly. That Mr Cardoso is a genius. The poster above me still lives in Mars? Policies have taken care of saboteurs and speculators who took it to #1980 and naira, according to Bloomberg, has become the best performing currency in the world. What is bringing dollar down? Good policies of course. Let it continue to come down.. |
Bestmanfornow:Why are you feeling bitter, sir? The title said first black woman to own club in Italy. Everybody knows Eniola Aluko. Who is this Nneka Ede,who bought a Portuguese club after Soname, another Yoruba man bought a club in Portuguese. Not much is known about Nneka Ede. I read she is in oil and gas but couldn't get much about her. Enlighten us.. |
Mrfeel:Yorubas are not chest beaters or mumu like you who bring everything online. Why do you think Ibadan has more than 12 GRAs? They were mostly built by individuals. Reason Ibadan is more developed than the entire Igboland infrastructurally. There are 2 new GRAs being developed in Ibadan now but you wouldn't see them disturbing the peace of others negatively with insinuations and verbal vituperations. Dem curse una with this stupidity ni? |
BeautifulMind2:Gibberish. |
babasolution:lol You are poor in history,sir. |
Great Empires like the Yoruba Empire,Roman Empire,China Empire etc fought amongst themselves too.It was the norms then. The Yoruba Empire fought to extend its territory, fighting and taking over Dahomey as it's vassal state. It extended up to Ewe in Ghana etc. The (Yoruba)Oyo Empire was one of the longest lasting Empires in Africa.Spannibg more than 500 years before it's decline. |
Irony1:Your wahala is too much if only you can leave Yoruba just for a year, you will see that nobody will remember you or even talk about you again but "for where"? Igbos are too deeply obsessed with the Yorubas that one might think that something sinister is really wrong with the Igbos. Wetini? Haba!!! People that do not want to know you but you have invaded their land claiming one Nigeria and making lousy remarks. Can't you behave calmly like the other tribes? Read this remark.. Mbanda: They said Igbos hate themselves but judging from what we are seeing on ground, the zombies from sad waste is trying everything humanly possible to finish the great Igbo tribe with their yeye propaganda. But God no gree them |
Pristine664:Igbos indeed have poverty billionaires. They are too obsessed with anything Yoruba. Maybe it was because it was a Yoruba man,Àjàyí Crowther that taught them how to read and write as from 1859 Sha. |
Tallesty1:That is because they invaded Ore. Another reason was that they wanted to be the sole owner of Nigeria's commmonwealth, founded by Nigeria's wealth and resources. |
Ogonimilitant:Igbos and the obsession with the Yorubas. It started long time ago even from the time of Azikiwe. Igbos cannot live without the Yorubas. Wetini? Dem swear for una ni? Haba!! |
tamdun: ![]() You wan strangle Igbos. They need validation and if any Yoruba, who Igbos ṣee as their oga, says anything to validate them, the jubilation is heart rendering. The real problem with the Igbos is that they cannot live without the Yorubas. They always think that they will suffer if they do. Yorubas are self made successful people. Regionalism period made everybody know that if left out of Nigeria,Yoruba nation will be the largest economy and the most progressive black nation in the world. They have done it before but Igbos have not. History makes us know that Igbos have been running to the SW especially Ibadan which was the richest then since the inception of Nigeria. Even without port,Ibadan was the richest and most progressive place in Nigeria. They always hide under the success of the Yorubas to claim whatever the Yorubas have as theirs. Have you ever heard them saying that they contribute to the success of the North?Yet they are there too. Ask them why they don't make it abroad as the Yorubas especially in business that they always think they come close to the Yoruba in Nigeria. It is only with their large population of petty traders and hawkers that they dominate petty trading with Yorubas coming second in Lagos. Igbos don't dominate petty trading or commercial activities in Ibadan,Ondo,Osun,Ogun,Kwara. Yorubas do. The industries in Lagos are majorly owned by Yorubas...Vitafoam,Honeywell,PROFORCE,Tejufoam, Glo, Sigma paint ,Ruff n Rumble etc. We have the thread on Nairaland here. No Igbo business or company lives up to 40 years because they always crumble them with bad nzogbu nzogbu managing. Yorubas have businesses that are more than 100,90,80 years and still counting. Yorubas have multibillion dollars businesses abroad while Igbos have none except fraudsters and druggists like the famous FBI 80.Yorubas have their own fair share too. Igbos should rest jooor.Since the end of the election, they have vouched to give Yorubas bad time as they did to Buhari but they will just shoot themselves in the leg. We depend on one another in Nigeria and the world. Going by history,Igbos have always depended on the Yorubas even till date. |
Just like 2022... |
Good. We now have 5 Nigerians working in the Biden govt now. The Nigerians on Biden’s Governance Team Latest | 2 years ago Vanessa Obioha writes that today’s inauguration of Joe Biden as the 46th President of America is seen by many Africans as a redemption of the fraught relationship the continent had with President Donald Trump The long-awaited dream of many Americans to see the 45th president of the United States of America, Donald Trump leave the White House will finally be a reality today as Joe Biden, the winner of the 2020 presidential election will be inaugurated. The ceremony, usually done with fanfare, is on a low key as the nation continues to battle with Coronavirus. The pandemic has claimed nearly 400,000 lives in the United States. On the eve of his inauguration ceremony, the lost souls were immortalised by Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris alongside their families at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. The Pool was illuminated by 400 lights. Each light is meant to represent approximately 1,000 Americans who will have perished from the virus at the time of his swearing-in. Biden is expected to be sworn in by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. on the Capitol’s West Front sometime before noon. This will be followed by an official escort of the President and Vice-President and their families to the White House with representatives from every branch of the military for one city block. It replaces the traditional parade before cheering spectators along Pennsylvania Avenue. Biden’s emergence as the new President of America has long been seen by Africans as a redemption of the fraught relationship the continent had with Trump. Trump’s anti-immigration policies and interference in the nomination of Nigerian personalities to key positions on the global stage, notably Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s appointment at the World Trade Organisation did not make him a favourite. However, some Christians will lay their lives down for him as he is believed to be a good Christian, despite his blatant and numerous atrocities. Already, President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed confidence that Biden will restore faith in the country in his congratulatory message to the new President last November. He said, “President-Elect Biden’s remarkable track record gives us hope that he will add value to the presidency and world affairs. We look forward to greater cooperation between Nigeria and the United States, especially at economic, diplomatic, political and security levels,” he said urging “Mr Biden to deploy his vast experience in tackling the negative consequences of nationalist politics on world affairs—which have created divisions and uncertainties—and to introduce greater engagement with Africa on the basis of reciprocal respect and shared interests.” As Biden is officially installed in the White House, all eyes will also focus on the Nigerians that will be working with him. They include Adewale Adeyemi who will serve as the Deputy Secretary of the US Treasury, Osaremen Okolo, as COVID-19 Policy Advisor and Funmi Olorunnipa-Badejo as a White House Counsel. Adeyemi, fondly called Wally was appointed on November 30, 2020, becoming the first African-American to occupy the position. He will work with Janet Yellen who is appointed Secretary of the Treasury. The Osun state born Nigerian was appointed by John Kerry’s presidential campaign at 23 to inspire African-American voters in California. He also participated in the presidential campaigns of John Edwards and Barack Obama. In 2015, he was appointed advisor to the presidency on international economic issues. In 2019, Wally was appointed President of the Obama Foundation that supports charitable work in Africa and elsewhere. Twenty-six-year-old Okolo was named among the 100 people that will work in the White House. She will be part of the new president’s COVID-19 Response Team that will work to quickly implement a comprehensive, whole-of-government COVID-19 response strategy to contain the pandemic, restore public trust, and protect all Americans. The Edo State indigene worked on the Biden-Harris Transition team before her latest appointment. The effort to reverse the blows dealt on America and the world by the pandemic is a major area that the Boden campaign and by which his performance in office will be judged. The Harvard graduate of Medicine and African-American Studies was a Senior Health Policy Advisor in the US House of Representatives. Her work experience includes serving as Legislative Aide for both Health Policy on U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labour, and Pensions (HELP) for Ranking Member Patty Murray of Washington; and U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky of Illinois. Badejo on the other hand is a lawyer and an alumnus of Berkeley Law College in the US. She has served as a counsel for policy to the Assistant Attorney-General in the Civil Division of the US Department of Justice and Ethics Counsel at the White House Counsel’s Office. She was also Attorney Advisor at the Administrative Conference of the United States during the Obama-Biden administration. These three Nigerians, young and brilliant are expected to help President Biden achieve his set goals while putting the spotlight on Nigeria that is notorious for her lacklustre interest in developing young talents. |
kettykings:I don't believe Statisense ranking because they don't have a known methodology except if they take it from a statistics inclined source. This one is from....Best ranked university according to the 2024 Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2024. |
chiagozien:Yoruba love all people including the Hausas, the Hausas make them appointees e.g Kaduna. Yoruba love Igbos, make them appointees, help them before, during and after the civil war. Americans love Yoruba, always make them appointees. Europeans love Yoruba, always make them appointees and so on... |
chiagozien:Yorubas hate Igbos?.No sir,it is the other way round but your hate cannot stop Yorubas from soaring higher and higher in Nigeria and all over the world.Yorubas are the most accommating of Igbos even after the civil till date. Igbos should check themselves for what is wrong with them. Malaysia hate Igbos,Thailand hate Igbos, South Africa hate Igbos,Ghana hate Igbos....ah ah wetini? There must be something wrong with Igbos. OP sef. |
DeTruthh:Even if thousands of poverty stricken Igbos are fighting for a loaf of bread, who is going to video or report them when all Igbos are scampering to escape and flee to Yorubaland. They don't care if you die or not but to just flee. How do you even know that they are not your poverty stricken mothers who fled Igboland to the rich SW. It is a known fact that your generations are the ones fleeing to Yorubaland even to Ibadan which was the most developed and progressive area in Nigeria then. |
Don't know why an upcoming is trying to roast her future like this.Even her comment shows bigotry. Pls,stay out of divisive politics. The politicians are all "same" "same". |
