onegentleguy: That's cool !! Any short term fund can be suited for a quick one here. ...as long as one has done the requisite with the registrars. It's a great play given the current state of the market. Again, duration on ACTUAL RETURN is less and also much better when compared to that in the fixed income space. ...which makes it a sensible play.

OakPearl: On a scale of 1 to 10, Wall Street warns that China's new trade war retaliation is an "11" in terms of severity.
With world stock markets tumbling in reaction to this war, I wonder if our market can experience the (even if mild) recovery it so desperately yearns for.
Just thinking out loud. i doubt cos d major driver of the Nigerian Economy (oil) is already feeling d brunt as it is set to breach the $60 mark |

robobo: My Oga i also agree that the story coming out of Eco is not that good plus the financial is just average and not in anyway excellent
But you can be rest assured that Eco won't be far from an acquisition / takeover with the current rate of its falling because of its pan african asset / franchise. who the acquired wld be is what cant be said at present but d franchise / asset looks quite enticing and wld make it a target of acquisition if the current downward trajectory does not abate
Chief BBM wld appr8 if i am on d mailing list on this
n.b i dont own any but wld seriously consider this in d coming days for speculative play purely Chief BBM what cld be next buststop if the 7.02 is broken? |

Agbalowomeri: Averaging down in a bear could be very frustrating You will soon become exhausted Not only that, the emotional torture of waiting endlessly for the bull which could take several months to even break even. So, instead the wise thing to do is to wait out the bear. Trust me a market that has been bearish since February last year will not just turn bullish over night. The index go siddon yakata for ground well well first. The people who know how to study bottoms know when the first sign of a bullish breakout announce. Then you buy your stocks and you continue to top it up even as prices move up, hence the phrase 'average up. The good thing about waiting to trade in a bullish market is that you improve your efficiency, make your profit faster and get out near market tops. Quintessential Agba again. more of this PLEASE |

DeRuggedProf: When your vehicle chooses to respond only to the reverse gear, let your driver remember to face the car in the opposite direction of your journey and proceed....
This is NEXT LUNACY... we (NSE) are definitely stuck with low / lacklustre performance growth (with GDP growth not likely to exceed the range of 2-3.5% per annum) for the next four years. The only game in town as per NSE wld be to chop dividend and occasional volatility induced JIJO hmmmmmm we are on a long thing |

Someone had been fighting to ensure the price does not go below N4 and the person had been quite consistent since abt a week or two either its the market maker or an insider who is see some value at dat price cos if person is an outsider and not either a market maker/insider then that person sure has a heart of steel for the units he had mopped up at dat price (abt 10-20m units) |

House Please i wld appr8 if someone can help clarify this
Placed an order for UBA @ 5.50 early today, in fact after the placement i was number 4 on the 5.50 band
however about an hour into trading i noticed my order had been moved down to number 8 after which some units were filled
now i had noticed more than about 3 million unit done on the 5.50 price but my order is yet to be filled neither is any of the first 7 orders in front of me. Please note that all unit done within the 5.50 band were small disparate figure so cldnt have possibly been crosses
i wld appr8 if any1 can shed light on how this order system works so that it cld be factor into decision making |
