another nairaland politician has come here to display his frustration here, lol when i was posting the schools infrastructure ogbeni built with sukuk loans, you never complain oooo. besides the most painful part is that he never paid workers salaries, teachers too are not well paid. this increased high rate of mass failure in waec in the public schools in osun state. now I'm talking about lagos state , you are here talking as if the so called ambode you are saying here know your lineage. don't come here and display your frustration oooo. i will always stay by the truths here. ambode has destroyed the school infrastructures in lagos state. it is very bad in his government. check the grassroot sector and reply me here.
I think you are better off going back to school (maybe night-school) to develop your communication skills than spending such inordinate amount of time spreading your crappy pdp propaganda because I can barely make sense of what you mumbled up there. Did you drop out of secondary school or something? Because your gbagauns are just unbearable. Or perhaps you can communicate in Yoruba language instead of embarrassing yourself all over cyberspace. Just saying. undecided

yes you are right. but he should take the people that voted for him in power closely. people complained alot in all the 3 senatorial district meetings. upon the revenue he is generating every month, alot of his projects are still scattered without been completed.
You are not fooling anyone with this hypocritical talk of yours. The truth is that you a very biased Ppro-PDP person who never sees anything good in anything APC. You are from Osun, and your state governor has built arguably the best public school infrastructure in the entire country, yet in your rabid hypocrisy you have never praised him for his effort in that direction since you joined the PDP bandwagon, instead you always look for reasons to attack and criticize all his projects. Yet you are here acting as if you know or care about Lagosians. You need to grow up and drop your hypocrisy because everything shouldn't be about politics.

Sarrki, please take note before you fall for his scam. He's always seeing everything from a PDP vs. APC lens. You will never hear him acknowledge or give credit to developmental effort by any APC government (while never applying the same standard to the PDP) so don't be deceived.
PoliticsRe: PDP Senators Write Saraki Over Impeachment Threat By APC, Oshiomhole by RockHard: 7:17am On Aug 13, 2018
This incessant 'wolf-crying' and crying by PDP of late is becoming stale. They should fight their battle and stop disturbing us abeg. They have the likes of Boma and Ben Bruce that are ever ready to defend their rights and face any force so they should allow us to hear word abeg.

Tiwa actually has more hits than Yemi. 'Johnny' (which still has the largest Naija youtube views) is Yemi's only major hit till date. Her 'tumbo tumbo' style is mediocre.

PoliticsRe: Saraki Should Resign As A Matter Of Honour, Says Sagay by RockHard: 7:36am On Aug 10, 2018
I don't understand why these APC people are foolishly expecting Saraki to just give up the Senate presidency without a fight, when that position is the only source of his political relevance. Without the Senate presidency, Saraki becomes just another regular Senator with little political clout. They should get real.

Exactly. Saraki will leave APC for PDP no doubt, but he still wants to leave some of his moles in it to continue influencing it. Oshiomole is just trying to checkmate that.

PoliticsOgunbiyi Supporters Say They Don’t Want ‘dancing Senator’ by RockHard(op): 7:31am On Jul 24, 2018

By Gbenga Olarinoye

Hundreds of placard carrying supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday, stormed the secretariat of the party located along Osogbo/Ikirun Road, Osogbo to protest the alleged manipulation of last Saturday’s governorship primary of the party won by Senator Ademola Adeleke.

The protesters, who are supporters of Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, who came second in the PDP primary, alleged that the exercise was manipulated to favour Adeleke.

Armed with placards with inscriptions such as ‘We don’t want dancing Senator’, ‘Ogunbiyi is our candidate’, ‘Ogunbiyi won Osun guber primary’, the protest which lasted almost one hour, grounded vehicular movements on the ever busy Osogbo/Ilorin road.

Spokesperson for the protesters, Mr. Funmiso Babarinde, said Dr. Ogunbiyi won the primary election but had his victory upturned through manipulations that took place at the venue of the exercise.

Babarinde said: “the process leading to the primary was fraught with irregularities. Also, the main primary was done in such a manner that prevented the actual winner of the exercise, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, to be announced.

“We want the party leadership to look into the votes gathered by the aspirants again and ensure that proper thing is done. We see the September election as the major faith decider for PDP in Osun state.

PoliticsRe: Ademola Adeleke Wins Osun PDP Governorship Primary by RockHard: 10:35pm On Jul 21, 2018
If the result is that close, then it suggests that support for Adeleke candidacy must be relatively thin, even in his own senatorial zone.

It is only Natural for congested cities to have tall buildings, when there is no space you go vertical! If anything, Lagos isn't even having enough high rise buildings. It's a disappointment.
What are you talking about? Lagos still has the highest number of high rises by far, not to mention Eko Atlantic city that is also coming on stream.

Igbos can also bid for the release of federal infrastructure in their region, like the interchange at Upper iweka. No one is stopping you. Lagos has two other standard stadiums and lesser ones built by the state government so this is not a big deal. The state government was not happy with the neglected state of the statement that was why it bidded to take it over.

Blue3k:
You touched on an interesting concept. If you look at the motivations for almost all the eastern deep seaports you notice that import obsession. Yes the import market will grow but its the export jobs that should be focused on more. This why some are saying all these ports are going to cut eachothers profits.
True. The import obsession may indeed partly explain why their industries are folding up. Apparently even their elite are culpable in no small measure for this state of affairs because it seems they would rather import than create or support local industries. Case in point, just the other day, a former governor of Abia state who is supposedly the wealthiest igbo man alive, Orji Uzor Kalu, was accused of using state funds running into billions of naira to import Okrika (used clothes). huh

http://www.tribuneonlineng.com/orji-kalu-allegedly-use-abia-funds-engage-okrika-business/

Importation of itself isn't necessarily wrong especially if the intention is to add value to the imports. E.g, many non-oil producing countries strategically built refineries that depend on imported crude oil from the likes of (foolish) Nigeria, they add value to the crude via refining, and then resell to us for a profit. I once illustrated how European countries also earn far more (billions of dollars) than Africans from export of chocolate after adding value to the raw materials they sourced from African Cocoa-producing countries.

Even Dangote intends to import $9-billion worth of phosphates and potash from Morocco and Congo respectively, for his fertilizer plant for value addition and export purposes.

When won't local industries die when even the supposed leaders are obsessed with importation?

Those people are not even as smart as we are being made to believe.
Imagine what they've missed because they are not visionary. They always wait for fg to come put everything in place for them.

What stopped them from taking loans to fix their roads? If they had done this perhaps the companies/firms wouldn't have relocated to another region.
Lack of vision is their major problem but they don't know hence they blame everybody except themselves.
In this particular thread they are already blaming fg, fashola, and i'm verry sure one will soon blame tinubu or SWcheesy. Shiiiiior.
I think something must be wrong somewhere. According to that news report, half of the industries in the region have already closed shop in the last 5-years. That is an awful statistic to say the least. At the current rate the entire industrial base may be wiped out within another decade. I don't want to believe that infrastructure is the major cause.

But in any case, this is a big indictment against the government and citizens of the region who apparently can't get their acts together to build a viable industrial economy. I mean, on the surface they supposedly have a lot going for them in the human resources department, they also have a chunk of wealthy folks, not to mention that this region is the smallest in the country. So in my opinion they have no excuse for being in this position, unless we wanna blame it all on incompetence on the the part of their administrators.
