Now that TEF is no longer available in Nigeria, I strongly recommend that people shift their focus to TCF (unless they want to travel out of the country for TEF). Both exams are in french but the formats are completely different. Just like how you can't use TOEFL study methods for IELTS. Therefore, if you were 100% ready to write TEF before this suspension, you can just spend the next 2 months practising very well to write TCF in Port Harcourt. Last year, I wrote mine there and it went smoothly. Although TCF is the less popular exam, I still think it is a lot easier than the TEF exam.
Nevertheless, I will try to look for some resources that I used to study last year and I'll post the links for those who are interested in writing the exam at the PHC centre.

Please for those who have written, let's share our writing and learning experience. It's encouraging.

Truth is so many are learning or making the decision to take/learn French for TEF, I really wish we can revive this thread.

Honestly a school (physical or online) will work wonders for a beginner (A1, A2), starting out alone is doable but can be overwhelming and frustrating.
Then, once you have the structure and learning style down, if you want you can continue on your own.
But to get started, check out Page 1 of this thread, e 'choke' with information and links.

Pls don't be mad at your dad,some day you will understand,loosing your mom dealt him a blow and created a fear not to ever loose you,even if he will never say it, that is why he is been over protective without knowing he is wrong.
He loved you crazily and he is afraid of not just loosing you but you following the wrong path.

My advice is to talk to him and let him know nothing will happen to you.
2,you will never bring him dishonour.
3,let him know you are not really interested in the shop,if you love to work ,let him know that that is what you want, to work and earn, to meet with people and mix with ideas to help you intellect,that meeting people will help build you and you can discern between a bad company and a good company now.

Depends on how fast you get and understand new concepts. One to two months of daily study should do. Total amount to register and sit for the exams will be around N75,000. A little more or little less; because it's now 5 courses. Then Another N20,000 for certificate and N20,000 for transcript when the results are out.
