When Yar Adua was sick in 2010 and GEJ was VP the most vocal group who ensured Jonathan was made President were the Yoruba. During these period most Igbos were silent and dumb.

The Save Nigeria Group founded by Pastor Tunde Bakare and Sahara reporters prevented Jonathan from being impeached and making way for David Mark to becoming d president.
We cant 4get the massive support Prof Wole Soyinka gave to save nigeria group protest and impact of other south west media houses like punch, tribune and the nations to the struggle to prevent Jonathan Impeachment and ensuring that Jonathan became president.

In 2011 elections, the whole South(SW,SS and SE) and middle belt gave Jonathan block vote. South west gave jonathan more than 70% of their vote in 2011.
South south did d same. South east did d same. North central gave Jonathan more than 60% of the vote.

The only thing some south east states did which south west states and North Central stares did not do was to Inflate the voters turn out which card readers prevented in 2015 election. The truth was dat the inflation of vote by some south east states in 2011 was completely unneccessary because Jonathan would have won without it. Jonathan won some states like Taraba and Adamawa in North east in 2011.

We cant forget the impact of Pastor Enoch Adeboye laying of hands on Jonathan in 2011 redeem camp on 2011 Jonathan election among christians all over Nigeria.

We cant 4get the role of Gen Olusegun Obasanjo in ensuring that Jonathan was made Acting President. Who beimg the Chairman of PDP board of trustee ask Yar Adua to resign for Jonathan to become president. We cant 4get d Insult obasanjo got from Arewa for that statements. We cannot be intimidated, we came into this town today to show our man Wike the needed support. We are busy monitoring the situation. They have used the federal might to arm-twist the tribunal in Abuja to favor their own candidate. This one is along Ada-George road in PH, we had to zoom the camera from almost half a kilometer to get this shot to avoid military brutality.

PDP initially had an edge due to people being bitter about Jonathan loss but the PDP messed up big time when they started playing hate politics combined with violence and intimidation.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has
condemned the tribunal judgments nullifying the
elections of Rivers and Akwa Ibom States
Governors, Mr Nyesom Wike and Emmanuel
Udom respectively, saying; “the seeming
collaboration between the All Progressives
Congress (APC) led Federal Government and a
section of the judiciary is worrisome and
portends grave danger to the corporate existence
of Nigeria. This is worse than corruption that the
president claimed to be fighting.”
Governor Fayose said desperation to take over
the South South States of Rivers and Akwa Ibom
through the backdoor by President Mohammadu
Buhari and his APC, in preparation for 2019, using
the judiciary may cause anarchy in the country.
Speaking through his Special Assistant on Public
Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka,
the governor accused the APC and President
Buhari of another grand plot to rig the
forthcoming Kogi and Bayelsa States governorship
election, using the newly appointed Independent
National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman,
Prof. Mahmood Yakubu and the Director General
of Department of State Security (DSS), Alhaji Lawal
Daura.
He described the suspension of the appeal court
judgment on Senate President Bukola Saraki as
“part of the grand plot to use a section of the
judiciary to wrestle power from those the Buhari’s
Presidency is not comfortable with,” saying the
indefinite adjournment by the appeal court
smacked of interference from the powers that be.
Governor Fayose said; “There were widespread
electoral malpractices during the presidential
election in the North, with rampant under-aged
voting. Yet, Dr Goodluck Jonathan and the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) did not take steps
capable of threatening Nigeria’s corporate
existence.
“Curiously too, in a State like Yobe where it was
established that the INEC Resident Electoral
Commissioner (REC), Abu Zarma received N15
million bribe from the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the
State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam, Assistant
Superintendent of Police, Zakari Deba to
influence the State Governorship election, the
tribunal did not nullify the election.”
The governor called on President Buhari to, in the
overall interest of Nigeria, tread cautiously in his
bid to consolidate power and prepare ground for
his possible re-election bid.
Governor Fayose, who reminded the President of
the wild, wild west of the mid 60s and the 1983
saga between late Chief Adekunle Ajasin and
Chief Akin Omoboriowo, which was orchestrated
by the then Federal Government, said “the
consequences of the orchestrated plot to prevent
the people of Western Region from having the
government of their choice through a fair and just
election in 1964 should be a watchful example for
Nigerians in general and President Buhari in
particular.”
He appealed to the people of the South South not
to be intimidated and discouraged, expressing
hope that the appellate court will protect the wish
of the people of Rivers and Akwa Ibom States.
“Governors Wike and Udom, as well as the
teeming supporters of our party, PDP in Rivers
and Akwa Ibom States should not be deterred
and discouraged as I am sure that by the special
grace of God, they will laugh last,” the governor
said.

The same fayose that bribed the top military brass deployed to monitor Ekiti election with obanikoro & omisore in attendance, he even used federal might to make sure APC leaders & supporters residences in ekiti were sorrounded by the police so that they couldn't campaign before the election; He also made sure some APC leaders were arrested by DSS operatives before the election while others were denied entry into Ekiti state by the army.

The same fayose is now saying trash that he is known for. Yeye dey smell. Smh..........

Ameachi built & equipped a lot of beautiful schools, built lovely estates, built new roads & also dualize several roads, he created employment opportunities for several Rivers people, he developed agriculture, garbage were evacuated on time till march,2015 etc, I can go on & on.

Let check what wike have done so far? Operation no more portholes but alas! Several roads are worse than they were before he took over as governor eg. trans amadi road is nothing to write about, portholes are increasing on daily basis on oil mill - eleme bridge every day, serious flooding almost everywhere in port Harcourt when it rains just to mention a few.

FLOOD CONTROL: RSG BEGINS DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURES ON WATERWAYS

Takes Exercise to Rumukalagbor Next Week

The Rivers State Government has commenced the demolition of structures which are impeding the free flow of water along the creeks, canals and other waterways in the State.

This move, according to the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) became necessary to avert severe flooding which is already ravaging parts of the State occasioned by heavy rains across the country.

RIWAMA’s Director of Administration, Mr. Ian Gobo who led the operation, stated that the Sole Administrator of the Agency, Bro. Felix Obuah had in the past weeks warned residents and land developers in the State, especially in Port Harcourt and Obio Akpor LGAs not to erect structures on the waterways, adding that the National Meteorological Agency (NIMET) had listed Rivers State among what they called the ‘flash floods location’.

The demolition exercise which began on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, saw the pulling down of two structures which were erected right on the waterway of the Mini Ekere creek in Rumuobiakani, Obio Akpor Local Government Area.

Using a massive swamp boogie for the operation, the RIWAMA officials levelled the structures which were built behind No. 10B Enugu Street, Rumuobiakani.

On Thursday, the team moved to No. 3 Valley Close, Rumuogba, where a one-storey apartment had encroached into the same creek and completely blocked the water channel, a situation that forced the water to veer off its course thus threatening to submerge several buildings along the creek.

Residents of surrounding shanties, including those on the imposing one-storey building watched as the swamp boogie pulled down the fence of the apartment, even as people were seen working anxiously to re-erect another illegal fence on the waterway.

However, to ensure that the law takes its course, Mr. Gobo and some senior health officials of RIWAMA issued an abatement notice of 90 days which they served the owner of No. 3 Valley Close, Rumuogba to enable him move out and also pull down the structure.

The house owner was also issued a stop work order in view of desperate attempts to erect another fence on the waterway.

Some residents from the surrounding shanties in the Creek alleged that there had been attempts by the past administrations in the State to demolish the house but that government officials had compromised and never returned to carry out the demolition.

“This house has existed for over 15 years and past governments had either ignored it or failed to take appropriate action. We are also aware that even his fellow landlords have advised him to cut off the house from the creek so that water could flow on its natural route”, said a resident.

Mr. Ian Gobo later told journalists that the residents around the Rumuogba Estate complained about the heavy flooding following the recent rainfalls, a situation that prompted the inspection and stunning discovery that structures had been erected which obstructed the free flow of water at the Creek.

“This house, 3 Valley Close, Rumuogba Estate is built right at the middle of the river and as a result is diverting the free flow of water from its natural course. It is also creating erosion on the other banks and the people living there are suffering the consequence of the action of the landlord”, Gobo said, adding that these were issues being confronted by RIWAMA on daily basis along the creeks, canals and other waterways.

He advised developers to build within their own confines and not use the waterways as part of their buildings, adding that those who contravened the rules would have themselves to blame.

Mr. Gobo disclosed that the team would by next week, move to the creeks at Rumukalagbor and warned those whose structures have blocked the water ways to remove them before the visit.

“We have reports that so many bridges have been created to access their houses. These bridges have piers and these piers stop the free flow of water” he said, adding that cases of indiscriminate dumping of refuse into the waters also abound.
