The case of Igbo's biafra will be like South Sudan.

After many years of claiming they were the reason for Sudan's success, the UN finally allowed South Sudan have their country. The joy barely lasted 24 hours after the declaration of independence. Since then it's been war with various groups fighting for power.

South Sudan is argueably worse today than it was under Sudan - and many keep fleeing the war to Europe.

What proof do you have that they are Yorubas? Do not just come online to distort history just because they speak a language similar to Yoruba doesn't make us a Yoruba. Yes! We have ties with the Yoruba likewise the Binis so keep calm bro... Compare the Itsekiri dressing, Yoruba dressing and Edo (Bini) dressing, you will see our dressing is similar to that of the Binis.

I don't really know if you're itsekiri but do a little more research and you will get to know that the Yoruba race is more diverse than any other ethnic group as each Yoruba town and village speak different types of Yoruba language and even dress differently.

This is even more evident in Ondo State where several towns/villages speak another language different from Yoruba , they speak it side by side with Yoruba; let me state that the Owo people and the itsekiris have almost the same culture even with the binis, likewise some part of Akoko in Ondo state; so try and do a little more research.

I am Yoruba & also closely related to Edo( Ubiaja) I don't know if I spelled that name right. Though I have never visited that place but history have it that they are my people & I am from a royal family in Yoruba land & also related to the royal house in Edo state. Those who put this history down are all dead but it have been confirmed by a few that have visited that place that we still have a little of their language intertwined with the one we speak.

Let me state that if we all do more research as per where we originally originated from we will discover that some of us are related one way or the other; let me use the ijaws as a case study:

1. I learnt from some of ijaws that history have it that they originated from Egypt/Sudan but it worthy to know that we the Yorubas have one that say we also originated from Egypt/Sudan.

2. They said another have it that they dropped from the sky & I laughed because history also have it that Oduduwa the father of we the Yorubas dropped from the sky.

3. They also said another have it that after they left Egypt/sudan, the first place they settled was Ile-ife; I laughed more because Ile-ife is the place of Yoruba civilization and it is in Osun State a Yoruba State.

These facts may be disputed or even confirmed but it did change the way I see an ijaw man/woman & for this I will always never support a fight with any ijaw person because I see them as my cousins: though i have never made any statement pertaining to such in their presence but that's the way I see it & I have done my part to protect their rights everywhere work took me so far they also work there.

Finally, though me & some Igbos throw jabs at each other every now & then on Nairaland but the truth is that I still have some cousins of mine who I can say are half Yoruba & half igbo. Nigeria is more diverse & intertwined more than we all think but once in a while we tend to let ethnic sentiments over cloud our way of reasoning.

Those names are Igbo & ijaw names; how can some people try so hard to clone comments to justify the unjustifiable? Yeye dey smell

Its gross dishonour coming from Pa Johnson to our heroe's ideology major general Philip Effiong who where ever he is will be happy we carried on where he stopped and make Biafra of his dream come true, mentioning his name there is dishonor.
It is a huge disappointment from Pa Johnson to the people of Itsekiri that when yorubas who have gotten much from Nigeria without being marginalized are clamoring for Oduduwa republic hence Nigeria is a failed states, we the people of Itshekiri that are second class and marginalized are receiving anti-people statement from Pa Johnson. We the people of Itsekiri therefore state categorically that Pa Johnson stands on his own with his Nigerian cohorts hence his statement does not represent the wish and goodwill of Itsekiri people. We call on all Biafrans to be strong as we are solidly behind the quest for our dear country, the people of Itsekiri stand tall to say time has passed when few people for their interest destroyed the future of the people.
