TravelRe: Friend Got Canadian Visa For Family: Should They Go? by Rottweiler(m): 6:46pm On May 24, 2006
N400K as salary. Go get other details from him. He obviously gave you his gross income. Ask him how much he pays as tax, monthly deductions by the company for car loan taken, monthly deduction from his cooperative society, Union dues, etc. He probably goes home with about N200K! He has to pay his rent, fuel his car, stock the house with food stuffs, give his wife a monthly allowance, pay the childrens school fees. If he's already building a house, then he's in more shit. My brother, when you work in an oil company, people think you are in heaven: big money big problem!
One other thing, the fact that he works for an oil service company whose future depends on the amount of business they get from the core oil companies, may be one of the reason he intends leaving. When the core oil companies sneeze, the oil service companies catch cold. They are like the banks. No customer, WAHALA don happen!

He knows his options. let him weigh them and take a decision.
RomanceRe: Girls! Would You Collect A Gift From A Man You Dont Want? by Rottweiler(m): 4:55pm On May 24, 2006
One has to know the reason why a gift if being offered before acceptance. Why? THERE'S NO FREE MEAL IN FREETOWN. If you are sure there's no hidden agenda, then you are free to take the gift. But know that some gifts get you in trouble and you would end up regretting meeting the giver. Wisdom is very relevant in this case.
I'm deffinitely going to sign one. Cos i know i'll be rich (amen), and yes, i'll trust my husband, but kai, im still going to sign a prenup o. Seriously!

I agree with it. It's a good idea.
Yeah! it's a good idea at the beginning grin but wait till the end for details. It's like somebody having a pump-action rifle at home. You know it's there. Any time you hear a funny sound at your window, you pick up the rifle just to check out the noise. Because you have a rifle, you have developed ichy fingers. All you need to do one day is to pull the trigger.
The truth of the matter is that the PRE-NUP AGREEMENT IS A WOMAN'S LICENCE TO GOLD DIGGING!
FamilyRe: Prenuptial Agreements by Rottweiler(m): 8:54am On May 24, 2006
It's all BULLSHIT!!!!! That's one of the major reasons why marriages can not/are not sustained in the developed world. Is marriage a business venture? NO! If my wife had insisted on us having a prenuptial agreement, I would have called it off, Love or no Love! It really crazy the way certain things are being done this days. Couples are supposed to weather marital storms together and not say QUIT at the slightest provocation just because of the expected 'marital gratuity'! This is no love at all.
HealthRe: Heart Visitor In Battle For Heart Transplant Dies At 29 by Rottweiler(m): 10:57pm On May 23, 2006
kimba:
no be from Naija she carry plane go U.K.

where are the "lots of transplants done in Naija"
I know someone who had one in LUTH (lagos university teaching hospital). siamese twins have been successfuly separated in OAUTH, Ife. A lot of feats have also been accomplished in other teaching hospitals here. For your information, she did not go to the UK to have a heart transplant! It was in the course of an ilness that the doctors detected the heart problem.
PoliticsRe: Independent National Electoral Commision (inec) by Rottweiler(m): 8:30pm On May 21, 2006
He won't withhold funds from INEC? When EFCC and ICPC are crying for funds? In Nigeria today, the President holds enormous powers. I learnt that in all democracies in the world our presido is the most powerful! He can withhold funds from states, government agencies, etc. There's nothing independent about INEC at all. Its independence is only on paper!

They might appeal to some of us but to others, they are cute. Beauty is relative, my friend.
RomanceRe: Is This Love At First Site? [confused] by Rottweiler(m): 3:37pm On May 19, 2006
There ain't nothing like LOVE @ 1st sight! We shouldn't deceive ourselves! It's LUST @ 1st sight! Do what you have on your mind but analyse the whole thing very well (what is your age? would you be hurting anybody? HIV/AIDS, Unwanted pregnancy, heartbreaks, etc)
RomanceRe: Need Help On Office Romance Problem by Rottweiler(m): 3:33pm On May 19, 2006
My friend, for your info most intimate affairs in a working environment end up in disaster! Most times, its just a fling, pure lust due to the fact that you guys have found yourselves confined to the same environment everyday for more than 7hours. It's like starting a relationship in BIG BROTHER AFRICA.

How would you feel when you start seeing other male colleagues hanging around her? Or you start seeing other toasters coming to see her in the office, etc? My advice, just get another girl outside the work place cos your job is more important.
CrimeRe: What Do You Boys Out There Have To Say On Boys Beating Up There Girlfriends by Rottweiler(m): 3:26pm On May 19, 2006
Any guy that beats up his girlfriend doesn't qualify to be called a man! Being a man is not just about having a d**k, it also includes managing relationships no matter the situation. I have never beaten up a lady (even my younger sister) in my life. when the temper is high the solution is: JUST WALK AWAY.
RomanceRe: Nigerian Girls Like To Mother Their Boyfriends by Rottweiler(m): 3:20pm On May 19, 2006
I need Maki to 'mother' me. hey Maki, would you be kind enough to make me feel like a baby once again in my lifetime?
HealthRe: Heart Visitor In Battle For Heart Transplant Dies At 29 by Rottweiler(m): 11:11am On May 19, 2006
It's a pity she had to die. I don't see any discrimination in it all. From what I gathered, she was placed on a waiting list. Is it every day you get people ready to donate organs? When some Britons who are covered by the NHS have been on the waiting list for a while, nobody is gonna give her priority. I guess they should have flown her by to Nigeria. Lots of transplants are carried out in naija.
PoliticsI Did Not Ask Anybody To Convass For Tenure Elongation - Obj by Rottweiler(op): 9:49am On May 19, 2006
Our dear President eventually decided to denounce the 3rd Term Project after it had failed. At the PDP national executive committee meeting held yesterday he refuted allegations that he was behind the whole thing. He should tell that to the birds! When Anenih and the PDP chairman, Alli, were busy threatening members that did not support the project!
I consider the President’s disclaimer as an after thought. He had a golden opportunity to come clean before now and during the last interview he granted CNN while in the US. Instead, he said that “there was no third term agenda on the table FOR NOW”. He told us that his god is not a god of abandoned project. I know my God did/does not support their activities.
He kept silent when the issue was tearing the nation apart. It’s a complete shame that he decided to speak now. As far as I am concerned, his reputation has been tarnished like IBB’s.
FamilyRe: Should Wives Submit To Their Husbands? by Rottweiler(m): 5:26pm On May 16, 2006
Deviation from the teachings of the bible has put most people in the state they are now.
Point of correction: being submissive ain't slavery! All that is required is for you to accept that the man is the head of your home. For every relationship/association to last, there must be a form a hierarchy. Even at work, we pay obeisance to certain category of people because we have accepted them as BOSS. Why can't most women do the same at home? God has made man the head of a family. I know some people will disagree, that's your problem. Don't be submissive, you will end up being a divorcee! It's the simple truth. some women who have made terrible mistakes in their own marriage end up painting the wrong picture to others thereby initiating them into their association of losers!
Do the right thing (submission) and you would have a wonderful marriage, that's if you had not made the mistake of marrying somebody that disrespects you.
CareerRe: Unemployment in Nigeria by Rottweiler(m): 5:13pm On May 16, 2006
@Seun,
most people don't want government job. What people need is for government to create the enabling environment and infrastructure for private initiatives to take off and survive! The Minister of power and steel made it know 2 days ago that electricity will only be stable in 2056 (when I am dead). There are lots of guys out there doing things on their own but with electricity in a terrible state, they have been forced into other lucrative areas (oil bunkering, yahoo yahoo, armed robbery, etc). My company has been running on generators for almost 10years now! Can you beat that?
You talked about generators! Do they run on water? When we are concerned about emissions, global warming, etc. How much would a cyber café operator, photocopy center operator, tailor, barber, welder, technician, etc make if they all get generators for their business?
We should be realistic men!
Christianity EtcRe: Must A Good Christian Attend Church? by Rottweiler(m): 4:37pm On May 16, 2006
All the excuses given above why some people don't go to church are all LAME. It's just sheer spiritual laziness! When you stay at home on a Sunday, what do you do? Minister to yourself? Have you not heard of :"WHERE TWO OR MORE ARE GATHERED TOGETHER, THERE SHALL I BE". Forget about the building (Church) and fellowship with other christians on Sundays. Some claim that it's the going-on in the church that put them off. If you feel you are not getting spiritual fulfillment in one church, move on to another. Even the cultists, the worshippers of the devil, the idolators meet to do their thing. Do not justify your spiritual ineptitude! Merci beaucoup!
FashionRe: Ear Piercing: Good Or Bad Thing? by Rottweiler(m): 4:11pm On May 15, 2006

Music/RadioRe: Has Ruggedman's Music Become Blunt? by Rottweiler(m): 3:47pm On May 15, 2006
You guys can't damage the fame he has already attained. Your criticisms all smack of BB (bad belle). whether you like it or not the guy is making money and enjoying fame and luxury that I guess some of ya don't have. The truth is bitter! Please don't hit back at me cos I bark and I bite grin

PoliticsRe: IBB For President (2007) by Rottweiler(m): 3:25pm On May 15, 2006
It's very easy for people to rant, make pledges, scream, etc. but when the day of reckoning comes, how many of you will stand out to be counted? Just a handful I guess. That's why this country will continue to be in the state it is right now - moving in a circle. All the money OBJ claims to have saved in our foreign reserve will bribing people to support TTA. Nigerians love grammar. Most of the time, its grammar and grammar. When the activists call people out to demonstrate, most people stay at home and expect the angels to fill their positions in the crowd. NLC would call people out to demonstrate when bad policies are formulated, only a handful would come out. TUC would do the same, most people will remain at home. At a point, Adams Oshiomole was made to look like someone with a personal agenda. Now they lilly-livered are asking Adams to come and lead them in the war against 3rd term.

Atimes, I regret being a nigerian!
