HealthRe: My HIV Test Result by Rottweiler(m): 2:30pm On May 12, 2006
I had one last year for the first time. It was actually the lab attendant that talked me into doing it when I went for my annual medical test at my place of work. I told her that I was scared but she encouraged me that it's better to know ones status than live in the dark. The finally push she gave me was that she would tell me first before sending the report the doctor for appraisal.

I couldn't summon the courage to check the outcome. Eventually, I decided to go there when I thought she would have gone home."unfortunately" I met her there and the look she gave me scared me! Eventually she told me that it was negative and I smiled.

Men! It was scary.

RomanceRe: Making Love With Your Man Friend In Your Matrimonial Bed by Rottweiler(m): 5:03pm On May 11, 2006
It's a big problem! I guess she knows the implication. What is the root cause?
1. No sex from her man
2. Is her man cheating on her to her knowledge

I have a friend whose wife was doing the same as a way of getting back at her husband who was cheating on her. Normally this won't help either of them.

Afeni:
A lot of people are suffering, but there is no evidence to suggest that the Niger-Deltans are suffering any more than other parts of the country.

Also, it is not like they just began suffering. They sufferened under Abacha and before that. Why didnt they launch there attacks when the rest of the world was watching Nigeria under the rule of a despot. Now that we have a Democratic government and things are getting better, is not the time to cause trouble.
@Afeni    and   others
It's a pity that a life was lost. I can see that you know nothing about the Niger Delta and Port Harcourt in particular. If you go deeper you would find out that not every incident down here is carried out by MEND. I believe this was just an isolated case. If I were to be IPO handling the investigation into the shooting, my searchlight would be on the late guy's company. The guy must have stepped on the toes of a clique there. It happens. I know of a guy in an oil servicing company ( a nigerian) who was attacked and left for dead because he was about exposing the fraudulent deals of some of his colleagues. He was really lucky.

About insurgence not occuring during the military era:  THE BOYS WERE NOT EXPOSED TO ARMS AND AMMUNITION THEN!  With the advent of democracy, wealthy politicians decided to arm jobless boys for security and other evil reason. They used them to kill their opponents, steal ballot boxes, intimidate people, etc.  The guys are now into illegal bunkering from where they get foreign exchange and they can buy any weapon through the buyers of illegal crude oil who berth on the atlantic
.

When next you visit naija, you should take a trip to Abuja, Warri, Bayelsa and Port Harcourt. Just do this and you will stop saying what you don't know.

CultureRe: Are You Proud To Be A Nigerian? by Rottweiler(m): 12:50pm On May 11, 2006
It ain't a matter of being proud to be a Nigerian. Do you have a choice? YOU ARE A NIGERIAN! You can't hide it! When you are black, possess big nose, naija eyes (eyes wey don c pepper - hardship). Your f**king root is here. A country with no vision. How many decades of independence and electricity supply to more than 120million people is less than 4000megawatts! The other day, I was with my family on a virgin atlantic flight enroute Heathrow, the lights in the aircraft were put off for takeoff and when they came back a naija child shouted UP NEPA! Some passengers laughed but I did not because the child's reaction is only a product of what's gwan in naija.

All said and done, I would say I am proud to be a Nigerian! Monkey no fine but him mama like. She get choice? I will defend my identity anywhere I go but when I am with fellow Naijas, we analyse and grumble angry
Christianity EtcRe: Is There Anything Like Spiritual Attack? by Rottweiler(m): 12:31pm On May 11, 2006
It's really funny when some christians tell others that there is no such thing as spiritual attack when the bible tells us that there exist demons, spirits, spiritual warfare, etc. Abi which bible una dey read? I guess it's the fear of the unknown that makes some people deny the existence of the spiritual grin. FEAR!  WHEN I DON'T ACKNOWLEDGE IT, IT WON'T TOUCH ME!  Fa Fa Fa Foul!  Our protection only comes from God almighty through Jesus christ. You are completely protected when you abide completely by his words.

If you don't believe in spiritual attack because you don't know anybody that has encountered it, please liaise with any friend of yours from Cross Rivers or Akwa Ibom. You will get first-hand info from them. By this, I don't mean it only happens in this two states.

Odeku:
you guys are all cowards and should be ashame of yourself. YES I WILL DIE for Nigeria if it has a good cause, end to suffering, and make people have a better life. My Sons are Americans, and they love Nigeria every time i take them there. NO place like Home regardless of where u are today.
If you call those of us that have refused to die for present day Naija and have not yet CHECKED OUT cowards what do you call your humble self grin Let me tell you the truth: if you die for naija today, your death will be a wasted one because there are lots of bastards that will rubbish whatever gains you might have made. The Americans are proud to die for their country because of the system they have in place. In today's naija a policeman is not ready to die to save 1000 lives because he knows that less than 3months after his death, his family will be kicked out of the barracks before they collect whatever piece of entitlement he has with the police force. Dying for naija now is equal to committing suicide!

We ain't seen nothing yet! We should expect a gale of arrests very soon. Some people will be picked up on trumped up charges. The proponents of the TTA will stop at nothing in an attempt to achieve their aim. They are aware that they have soiled their political future, so it's either they get it at whatever cost or the country burns! It's a pity that OBJ has put himself in the same position that Abacha was. cry It means the whole 7years of democracy is wasted! I keep telling people that as long as we have certain nigerians alive and close to the corridors of power, this country will never move forward! Our leader dislike the TRUTH. When bellview crashed a while ago, it was AIT that assisted in locating the real crash site when our govt. agencies were busy chasing shadows. What did AIT get for it: A sanction from the NBC. With all these happenings I begin to feel that the black race is CURSED! Look at the disgraced VP of south africa. He slept with a known HIV carrier and he had the guts to say he had a hot bath after. That automatically killed the virus? Men, I puke! From Senegal to Cote d'Ivoire to Sierra Leone to Togo to Niger to Chad to Sudan to Ethiopia to CAR to Congo to Zimbabwe to Somalia IT'S ONE CRISIS TO THE OTHER DUE TO BAD LEADERSHIP. When are we going to get out of all these?

How real is the REAL MAN? If a 10year old boy doesn't cry does that make him a real man?

Since I became a man, I have cried only 3 times:

1. When I lost my dad. He was my dad. cry
2. When I lost a colleage at work. I wasn't very close to him but I cried because I was by his side on the football pitch when he slumped and life went out of him. cry
3. When my childhood friend of more than 25years died in a ghastly powerbike accident. His brains were all over the road. cry

FamilyThe Lonely Widows And The Greedy/self Centered Relatives by Rottweiler(op): 1:34pm On May 10, 2006
I lost a dear friend in a ghastly motorbike accident a few weeks ago. He left behind a young pregnant wife and two kids. Less than 3 weeks after his death I got reliable information that one of his brothers had in his possession, the late guy's ATM card. I also learnt that he got his pin code from one of the diaries he left in his hotel room. He was working in Lagos while his family was based in Port Harcourt having been transferred. Imagine, his brother kept withdrawing money from the account without thinking about the widow and kids. The widow ain't got no job. Who's gonna take car of them? His family was more concerned about sharing his cars and others they could lay their hands on forgetting that no one is immuned against DEATH.

After seeing my late friend three different times in my dream, I decided to act. I sent an anonymous email with a scanned copy of the guy's obituary to the bank informing them of the happening and requested that they block the account. Thank God they did but before then, the guy had withdrawn almost N700,000 from the account that had less than N4m.

If you were in my shoes what would you have done? Why are some people so mean?
FamilyRe: My Friend Is Having An Affair With Her Sister's Husband by Rottweiler(m): 1:06pm On May 10, 2006
If you continue to conceal then you are doing your "close friend" no good. She's gonna dislike you if she ever finds out that you were in the picture. It ain't proper at all. 2 sisters? And one is talking of love! You have to hint her but do it anonymously! If she has an email address, find a discreet way of getting it and send an email from an account you would create for this purpose. Or you can buy a new MTN line and send an sms to your friend's phone. After that you never use the line again. It's better it's stopped now before the sister gets pregnant. Imagine two sisters having kids for the same man! Yak!
CultureRe: Bride Price/dowry, Do You Support Or Oppose It? by Rottweiler(m): 12:44pm On May 10, 2006
Parents who collect bride price are broke ass niggas! It's supposed to be a symbolic thing but people now ask for thousands of Naira as if they are selling off their daughters. No wonder some men end up treating their wives like acquire property.

When I got married, I paid a dowry but it was returned at the ceremony.
BusinessRe: Customer Service In A Nigerian Business by Rottweiler(m): 12:27pm On May 10, 2006
Customer service in most nigerian businesses is really poor. What do we expect when some employers compromise qualification, experience and other criteria in order to favour girl friends, people from same ethnic group, same religion, etc. You go to some companies and the way you would be received by the receptionist would make you wonder angry Most people do not believe that the customer is king!
I know one telecoms company in Port Harcout where almost all the staff are from the GM's ethnic group. You go there to reconcile your account or pay your bills, and all you hear are the workers busy chatting in their dialects chi chi chi chi chi. I had to bang my fist on a table on one of my visits there. I told them that by the time people start having better alternatives, they would be looking for jobs! Thank God, two other better telecoms companies moved into the PH market. The premises of the other customer-unfriendly company is now like a ghost town tongue
