life2017: Only people who don't understand fundamentals complain of Buhari performance. Nigeria foreign reserves have been growing monthly since December 2016 even at oil price of $50.
What many people are calling hardship is actually prudence of Buhari administration to structurally change our consumption of imported goods. Today Nigeria is looking inward in the real sector.
Those in the real sector are making huge profit under this Buhari govt.
Those complaining are those who created import base business with little or no added value. Those who created business around luxury because of easy dollars from oil during GEJ are still among those shouting.
The truth is that it is normal to have pain when you are moving away from easy and free money to hard earned money.
Even a baby of 10 years can run the govt in Jonathan way during the period of over $100 per barrel. GEJ govt was a govt of enjoyment without doing anything. The money came naturally without any input.
All the perceive good economy during Jonathan was just import and enjoy since we have dollar.
Today, we are in govt of reality. A govt of cut your coat according to your size. It is natural for people to complain.
One of the area I fault Buhari is in his area of slowness and his inability to eliminate the perception of his ethno religious bias. I also fault him on his inability to use his appointees as scape goat in his anti corruption war. I wish I could give you a hug! I think right thinking Nigerians know the truth. And I join you to say; "One of the area I fault Buhari is in his area of slowness and his inability to eliminate the perception of his ethno religious bias. Ironically, scums like you want to end Sars. - Who are those fighting BH? - Through out the five states of the eastern region, tell me where there is state sponsored/approved oppression of unarmed people now that the place is no more a 'war-prone/threatening' zone? - Tell me why a reasonable Nigerian would want to end SARS instead protesting like they are doing against their excesses and call for justice? Why not call for ending all our military and paramilitary organizations since they all have their excesses? - "You are from the SW?" Take it or leave it. Playing opposition and criticizing the wrong policies/actions of govt where there is any, isn't same as throwing insults. Imaging saying and you admit that cows fare better than you. SMH. |

Ok sir. I have a few questions for you. - was there ever a meeting where the Governors agreed to approve the withdrawal? - where you in the meeting? - if the Governors never met before the FEC meeting, where you in the FEC meeting (or you were probably receiving a ... somewhere else )? - if you were at the FEC meeting, did you openly oppose the decision there and then? - did your colleages from PDP and the one from APGA agree to withdraw the wooping sum of $1b to finance APC/Buhari presidential election come 2019? If they did, they've conceded victory once again to APC/Buhari, what's the essence of contesting against them again? Well, whether you were in the meeting(s) or not and gave you consent or not, this is democracy. If other Governors from PDP, APGA gave there approval, then sorry, there is nothing much you can do. |

NLandIsHypocrit: Does wnodo need to tell us that he's a saboteur? Though he had now formally and officially admitted to being a saboteur, its already on record the roles he played in the decimation of the innocent Igbo youths both in secret and otherwise. I must seize this opportunity to let the public know that Wnodo and the organization he claimed to be leading(Ohaneze) has since been dissolved by the same people they claimed to be representing. This was done through the vote of no confidence passed on them on the 18th of Nov when they called on the Igbos to support the election but was massively downturned and where as a result annulled by the voice and official authority representing and speaking for the Igbos and Biafrans in general, therefore Ohaneze and nwodo remains irrelevant and non existent and therefore cannot claim to be representing any community or ethnic groups. To be honest, I think you and your likes are the real saboteur who are trying to jeopadize the entire Igbo race for something you know nothing about. Like he rightly said, at your age he was fighting for this same course - defending his people! You, what are you doing but to instigate tribal war? If "Ohaneze and nwodo remains irrelevant and non existent and therefore cannot claim to be representing any community or ethnic groups," who is representing the Igbos? IPOB? |

On a lighter note now.

I'm not a politician but I would do everything not to have PDP in Government in Nigeria.
The greatest tragedy that can befall a nation is for her citizens to suffer collective amnesia. I believe PDP believes Nigerians have short memories, if not, Ibori would not have been included in their convention committee and Jonathan would not have been allowed to talk (He ended up indicting himself as usual anyway).
For those who may have forgotten, kindly joggle your memories with the following words on marble and you will agree with me that what happened in Eagle square on saturday was nothing but gathering of rogues.
Happy reading:
1. I acted based on Jonathan's instruction - Dasuki
2. I didn't give order - Jonathan
3. I collected 350M from Dasuki for consultation - Iyorchia Ayu
4. I only collected $30,000 from Dasuki not N100m - Bode George
5. I got N4.6b from Dasuki for spiritual purposes - Bafarawa
6. I got N650M from Dasuki for my Abuja burnt office - Thisday Obaigbena.
7. I got N2.1b from Dasuki for publicity - Dokpesi
8. I got another N100m from Yuguda he didn't tell me from where - Bafarawa.
9. I gave N100m each to Odili, Jim Nwobodo Bode George and others - Yuguda
10. The president asked me to change N10B to foreign currency for PDP delegates - Dasuki
11. My boss asked me to get $11M from the CBN - Dasuki's account officer.
12. I got order from above to pay Tompolo N13B for Maritime university land. - Nimasa DG.
13. 950m was shared in my house -- Shekarau
With all this looting and many more revealed, some people are still shouting no sign of change yet, they even say it's political persecution.
But I believe, it is the right thing to do.
If you believe too, send this to other people to garner more support for the fight against corruption and looting in our nation. There must be consequences for such crimes otherwise Nigeria will not develop.

In recent times, I have been following comments on major social media platforms, criticizing the apparent ‘recycling’ of our ‘old’ leaders in Nigeria and calls for young or should I say, vibrant men and women to lead us. Those who support this motion, no doubt, are more with a few expressing worries on the preparedness, maturity and almost zero chance of our young and vibrant men and women. Yul Edochie, in the just concluded Anambra State Governorship election comes to mind. Although, the people say we need young leaders, not even the youths took him serious not to talk of giving him their support. Ours is where and how we can get the immediate financial/material gains. I, as a person, also have these worries too but recently, I was moved to raise this ‘motion’ or question if you like, in this ‘hallowed chamber:’ In your opinion, who is that honest, enlightened, popular, vibrant, patriotic Nigerian between the ages of 45 and 55 in the four broad regions of East, West, North and South of Nigeria? Let’s know those who are capable of holding leadership positions at the various arms and levels of government in Nigeria. Honest and rational opinions only. No aspersions intended please.
