Cos when the man shows you the 6 packs and rolls eyes at you, you will just melt and be4 u know what is happening, it is the following morning.
A woman who loves the husband it is easier to say NO than man who loves the wife

You could call me all the names you like.

Typical of how Guys reason, now i have become the Witch that is stopping him from making money.

Nobody seems to see how i have endured with this same Guy for 3 whole years making do and even supporting with the little i have.

I am now very selfish because i want to settle down and he is not ready. So if it's going to take another 3 years, i should keep waiting to remain the very nice girl. What happens when third parties start coming in.

Whatever happened to preparing for marriage, mentally, financially and otherwise.

Marriage is not for people still trying to find their feet. Responsibilities come the second a union is established.

He's just a regular hussler without a Degree Certificate which i do not have problems with, if only he has a steady business no matter how little but then i know he's doing something tangible.

You could curse all you like, i asked for it and more are still welcome, i only want to see frm the eyes of others.

NB: I am not 34, not upto 30, yet but age doesn't come in here.
Even if i am 18 or 20, i said i am ready to marry and somthings have to be on ground for marriage to take plce.
If you want to quit thats fine but be responsible for your actions

@Poster My question is what are you bringing to the table to make this marriage work?
I know with present situation in nigeria it is not all that easy for guys this days just be patient
and see the area he is not doing well. If there is any way you can help some women are more connected than men.

what i don't understand is why the girl's aspirations and goals don't seem to count here

Does anyone even ask their girlfriends when they want to get married, whether they want a career first, or when they would prefer to have kids

You can't eat your cake and have it

What are you doing dating a lady in her mid-twenties without considering her plans for HER future
what's all this waiting for HIM to be ready, what about her?

Its this same Nairaland that has threads about women >25 being ripe for marriage and those already 30 being too old

if you have dated a girl for awhile and you are not ready to commit to marriage whilst she is at least have the decency to let her date others instead of insisting that your relationship be exclusive. That's just cruel
thank you jare
RomanceRe: Deeply In Love With My Student by rubi(f): 1:59pm On Aug 04, 2008
@Topic I don't think that you are in love with her It could be your emotions because when you see someone constantly everyday all the time there is that tendency that you get emotionally attached to the person and start thinking that he/she is the right one for you give yourself sometime and weigh things maturedly and constructively

Are u kidding me??
Girls get on the marriage vibes as early as 18 these days. . . .
There's nothing wrong with a girl looking out for herself but then things should move stage by stage!!!
This lass should allow her man get a good job first. . . . get a nest before thinking of commitment.
There is nothing wrong in a man settling down first I admire that aspect but it depends on individual definition of settling down acquiring the whole world? both can start the journey together or instead let her go when he is ready they can talk if only the lady will still be available.

am not a player, but my girlfriend of so many years asked me when will it happen.

I simply told her the plain truth, I have known you for approx. 7yrs, I love you very dearly, I have never kissed another lady's lip all these years, however, I need you to understand that I will love to meet other women before I settle down, because that's the way I feel, well, she only told me, I sincerely hope you settle down with me, thats all.

I don't want to feel caged in a marriage, neither do I want to start messing up in such a wonderful committment, she's worth all that, however, it's best I simply straighten my head before I settle down.

Life is too short for me to be unhappy, I don't play games either, so, as simple as it comes, thats it!!!, I still have never shown serious interest in any other lady, so she's got like 90% chance we can close the deal anytime!!!!
that's nice

My dayz. . . . . .Did u really say that??

God forbid, if this guy misplaces his priority and puts the babe in the family way, women would be complaining that she was made to suffer.
Everything should be planned out . . . . You would be surprised that the babe in question is still an undergraduate.
I don't know why most of em are in a hurry these days.
You meet a babe and within a month, she is showing u the kind of wedding dress she wants.
I don't think the girl is an undergraduate for a lady to ask for marriage something has gone wrong somewhere either she do not trust the guys moves or she is ripe take it from me

She wants a fresh graduate to commit??
Why can't women be realistic for once. . . .This dude is still trying to find his feet.
Let him get a job first. . . .lay a solid foundation before u begin to drill his head with marriage thunks.
what is a fresh graduate looking for in a lady that is ready for marriage just bang and say goodbye

"ring tossing",c'mon, marriage is more than that,a woman should know that @ the rite time a man will propose, sending signals and issuing threats will only increase the pressure
If you love her you will not see it as a threat rather you tell her you are not ready or you can marry and decide not to have knids till when you are ready for that if you guys are have been leaving together for like five years then what stops you from doing little marriage rights

Do the things he likes seeing and leave the rest to the Almighty.
I still cannot understand why some women cannot read their men.
Men are so easy to decipher. . . . .
Personally I don't believe in bothering a man for marriage but men play games too much

Now i know why men do such stuffs. . . . . Thanx for telling me a woman only understands the ring language. . . .
Tiffanys should be expecting me next week. grin cheesy
If you are in this womans shoe what will you do?

There are other ways of showing commitment than tossing a ring to every woman a guy meets.
Pressure only sends the wrong signals that she is DESPERATE.
Men don't like that(at all)! angry
Tossing a ring is the only language a woman understand you know anything can happen anytime and it becomes "to your tent oh Isreal" who is the looser the woman because years has been wasted. most men give women false impression standing at the door go in no come out no
