All this is getting too personal, better to answer the questions without causing any embarrassment to @monchat or her friend even if she is the person in question its nobody's business. This is a very nice and friendly thread it will be nice for it to remain that way.

The fact that I spend a lot of time in the cooking section has nothing to do with my query. Just look at the sheer arrogant way at which you replied to my query.
Foreign companies are charging under $300 for 400kg or 1.7 CBM to ship from China to Lagos, the only problem is that they can’t clear the goods. Learn to treat and answer your customers queries courteously and politely without the attitude. I don’t care if people are shipping 1Mkg. Also you didn’t need to look at my profile to answer my query, it is called customer service, you might know a lot about importation but you lack good basic customer service. Why are the Nigerian importers in China not charging close to the same as the foreign importers going to the same destination? then add the clearing bit on top . The only reason I can come up with is greed. Nigerians are very good at exploiting their fellow Nigerians especially when there is a monopoly in the market. Don’t worry it wouldn’t be for long so enjoy it while it lasts.
Why don't you try theses shippers

On chrisvicmall's site you will get all the information you require, there is even a calculator and their price quoted includes clearing and their webchat service actually works. It will save you a lot of stress.

The day Nigerians stand up and say NO to bad customer care that is the day this country will start to move forward. I'm appalled at what I'm reading on this thread , such a big shame. For your information I've not used any of these shippers.

But he said the money belongs to the hubby. He did not steal it, the money was paid in his account. She only said that the hubby explained to her that his credit history is very bad bc of that fruad that was tag on him and the hubby said he has no criminal records, that he has been aving a good criminal record that is been sent to him every month. The hubby av been working as permanent staff and she said that the bank stuff happend around 2015.
You said the money was paid into his account? was it a mistake by the bank or did he allow his account to be used by fraudsters?

That still doesn't make the money his.

I mean £40,000
Now you are talking.

Ha, Ha , Long throat

The bank makes this kind of mistake all the time, I know of someone who about £200k was accidently paid into her account, until that money was removed she kept panicking.

People get arrested for this kind of thing.
I doubt if he will be able to invite anyone with such a record, he has committed a crime. It might not be a crime in Nigeria but in the UK it is. You don't touch or tamper with anything that is not yours.
TravelRe: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Rubyventures: 9:48am On May 29, 2018
I think there is something hubby is not telling wife. £40 is not enough to be labelled as a fraud, the account must have been used on a large scale for fraud. huh huh Wifey needs to interrogate hubby more.

I just hope that hubby was not sacked from his job. Reason being that if you are applying for a spouse to come you will need a permanent job as the hours are more guaranteed. Agency job sometimes you will be at home for a week without pay.

Nothing wrong with that, she wasn't the only one in traditional wear, there was an Indian lady in her traditional attire , I saw a white lady with an Ankara dress. there was another African lady in Ankara. The invite actually stated traditional wear.

We should be proud to put on our traditional wear with pride.

that's my point you don't need to spend all that before you own a bakery.neither do you need to order from China it's been sold in nigeria.as a low key beginner just get a spiral dough mixer, slicing machine, stainless work table as recommended by nafdac, get a locally fabricated oven, measurement
scale, knives, bread pans, oven trays, oven gloves, generator set,go for nafdac reg, print your bread nylon get a sealing machinecall a carpenter for your bread sharve and buy you raw materials e.t.c you are good to go all this will cost between 2m to 2.5m let me attach my spiral dough mixer pics
Where are the pictures? and did you buy all your stuff from Alaba market? £2.5 seems about right

pls point of corrections I am an advicer just like you. desopas dough equipments are 3phase if you have the capital to get the supply for 3 phase then you can get from them, if not get a single phase spiral mixer which can only be seen in foreign equipments ,foreign give you the option either 3phase or single.i think I have made my points thanks.
What is 3phase or 1 phase equipment please explain it in lay mans language.

Guys please take it easy.

There are a lot of silent followers following this thread, I also know loads of people who will be relying on this information, the problem I am finding here is half info no detailed explanation.

Is it better to buy your equipment from china? what are the pros and cons

What voltage and capacity of equipment? etc

This thread has been opened but there isn't much information to be able to make an informed decision.

Experts in the house please come to our aid.
