freecocoa: What makes the girls vulnerable if they sought out the madam themselves?
You want to teach the woman a lesson for offering her services to someone who came knocking? How about the ladies who have the zeal of prostitution, what should be done to them?
What lesson do you want to teach this woman? Not to give her money to people who ask?
The same poverty make people work hard at learning a trade or taking up honest jobs to earn a honest living, so how can you place the girls quest for the easy way out on the woman?
It is not anybody's christian or whatever responsibility to tell people how to live their lives, let people be responsible for the choices they make. All I can say is where is our human empathy? It takes a desperate person to put themselves through that. In which country is pimping a legal business? Without these pimps there will be no girls going abroad to sell themselves. Also we do not know who sought each other out, but that is not the point. I just hope they get justice. |

viju17: shut up they knows what they are going der for cos she told them freecocoa: Pray tell, how are they the victims? It's not the madam's fault the girls are poor, is it? It can't be called "taking advantage" if they agreed to the terms and conditions of the business, no? We as a country should try and look after the vulnerable, right is right and wrong is wrong. If this lady is taught a lesson then it will deter others from such acts and protect other young ladies. Poverty makes some people err in judgement. Lets help these girls get justice, it is our Christian obligation. |

Chubhie: There are two sides to a story. At the end of the day you may come to appreciate it is just a business deal whose terms and conditions were expressly spelt out with the take it or leave it attitude. Insurance was done in a certain shrine.
You would be shocked at how many ladies will gladly accept this offer if the madam is a sure link. It shows how morally bankrupt our society is. But most times, it don't blame them cos if our collective commonwealth is evenly distrusted only few will elect to go this route.
Opportunity makes a thief for anyone with lack of sure opportunity considers themselves an honest being. I understand where you are coming from. It is poverty and greed that makes this girls go into prostitution but at the end of the day they are still the victims here and these madams take advantage of them and I believe they should be punished. |

I use Arik air for two reasons
firstly I though it will help the economy of the country as I believe in supporting one own, secondly I don't live in Lagos so I can get a direct flight to Benin connecting through Lagos without having to pay excess luggage on the local airlines.
Now I don't think I really want to use them anymore,
I find their counter staff very rude and asking you for money bared faced. ( I must say their transit staff are some of the best and a credit to them).
Their flight interiors is falling to pieces due to lack of maintenance culture, I found it so disappointing travelling for six hours and the flight entertainment was out of order. Also their food is so horrible and tasteless. I don't think I will be using them again. |

This was posted on a friends facebook page today and I just wanted to share it with you.
Emmanuella Ngozi Ideh;;
ARIK AIR SHAME - The below happened to my younger brother yesterday.......
Apart from Arik Air poor services in recent years the airline has added to this by employing thieves to work for them as their ground staff in Lagos airport which also reveals the lack of security at Murtala Muhammed Airport in this current time that airport security should be at its best.
Yesterday on my way back from Nigeria to London, I went through the normal process of opening your bag for customs, and the NDLEA guys to check the bag alongside the constant barrage of OGA anything for us.
Got to Heathrow opened my bag (which by the way was still locked) to get my mobile phones just to realise that my two mobile phones, charger and £320 has been stolen from my bag. This I believe happened from the time it took the time for the ground staff to load luggage’s into the plane.
I went to Arik Staff in London Heathrow to report this and all they said was go and report to police there is nothing we can do. No empathy or trying to investigate the fact that there is a security breach within their grown staff in Lagos. They failed to realise that if they can easily take stuff out of a locked bag, then things can be easily be put into bags as well, which in today’s world of security alertness and terrorism cannot be undermined
Please pass this message on, do not leave any valuables in your checked in luggage’s when flying Arik Air even when you think you have securely locked your luggage and have the trust that you luggage would not be tampered with.
Eda Aitalegbe; First of all I never fly Arik Second of all I don't fly Arik Third of all I will never fly Arik even at free ticket.......
Blessing Steven; Pathetic
Emmanuella Ngozi Ideh; No be small thing.... It is so bad. They actually opened the padlock stole from his bag and padlock it back..... So so annoying
Blessing Steven; Shameless thugs
Chukwuemeka Azih; so pathetic
Oge Anumonwo Big Sis... these guys have gone hi-tech Ooo; they don't break padlocks anymore... Improved technology one wld sadly say.
Emmanuella Ngozi Ideh Oge I am shocked..... Chukwuemeka it's really upsetting. Please share it's time we do something about this stupid Arik Air. I have heard so many bad experiences, it's unbelievable
Vivienne Parkinson Beyond belief Ngo.
Emmanuella Ngozi Ideh You know the annoying thing Vivienne, you land at your destination, open your securely locked luggage to get your valuables and they are gone.... My goodness it is painful...
Vivienne Parkinson True Ngo! I can relate to that. Shameful |

Is there any one here who has had a good or bad experience with oysters? Please share.

allcomage: Two of them are processed and are very unhealthy. Stop using them now,if not, You are enriching manufacturers pockets at your own detriment. They are the major cause stroke, hbp, heart attack and a whole lots of other noncummicable diseases ravaging the world. Yes anything that contains fat is not good for you when consumed in excess but I would rather eat butter, which is organic than margarine which is artificial. |

Please don't, I am a very happy and contented person. My age has nothing to do with this, we are having a discussion or should I say a debate. I am not having a go at you, even though you seem to be on the defensive. The point I have be trying to make is that we should be careful who we receive favours from, especially if they are unknown to us, as 9 times out of 10 there is always a prize to pay . Let me also state that it has nothing to do with anybody's sexual orientation. Straight men take advantage of fellow straight men and the same goes for women. Lastly I have nothing against gay people, it is not my place to judge. I believe in live and let live. |

I pray you never experience real hard times. I did read your post from the beginning to the end. How were you being vulnerable? Your parents had a bit of financial problems BUT you still had a roof over your head and food on the table. Looking at some stranger in the hope of getting something out of them for your benefit only can not be termed as "vulnerable" but instead is a form of greed. |

vicadex07: ...am not really good at storytelling so guys pls help me manage this narrative. The places I will be mentioning are in Ibadan because that was where I resided at the time of occurrence
It was in the year 2007, my dad (we kids were past the dependant category age limit of 18) was finally going to join my mum in the Uk so we were off as a family to the visa office (then at bodija) to fill his form, submit and pay the required visa fees. As the firstborn, I drove down the family and took charge of all the nitty gritty (I filled his form for him all by myself right there at the visa office) because I had enough experience while pursuing my own visa earlier
It was when we were all in the visa office that we all noticed this "weird" man. He was very loud and audacious. He made and received calls loudly right there in there office despite several attempts by the security personnel to stop him. The security guy later gave up because he just didn't care
He looked weird, dressed weird and even talked more weird. It seems like he was trying to impress us that were present with his conversation...like...ha senator, have you gotten the package and so on. He even tried to strike a conversation with me after he finished his phone call before my mum tapped me to disengage me. After we left, she was like how would I even think on giving such a man an audience. (moms always know best...listen to you mom today ). I just chuckled as a big boy and told her its nothing joh . For my mind, I have dealt with badder niggas whilst she was outta town and in uk so she need not be over protective ( little did I know )
Fast forward like 8 months later...my dad was already in Uk and things weren't really looking up financially. The global economic meltdown just started and it affected everyone including my mum, not to talk of my dad who just landed in uk. She is a nurse and my dad a Redeem pastor (fulltime) had not completed his transfer process to the uk so no funds were coming in for him from the mission.
At this point, we kids were really affected cos we were solely dependent on them financially. I was really depressed and vulnerable. I decided to take a stroll and cheer myself up at an eatery in challenge (tantalizers for those of who know Ibadan).
It was there I saw this loud man again I immediately recognized him. Though I wasn't keen on approaching him, I still wished he did cos I was vulnerable and just needed to talk to someone. He spotted me and he came on to me and was like,"errm...are you a model or something?". I said no smiling in amusement of his loss of memory. He again asked if I was an actor, to this again I said no and reminded him about the visa office encounter...and then he was like "okayyy, that was you". He introduced himself as Tunji Alaso, a film producer and that he likes hanging out with young boys to encourage them and help them. I felt a bit elated on hearing that like god has sent my own moses to me. We exchanged phone numbers and he told me he was traveling back to Lagos but would be coming back to Ibadan in two weeks time and he would like us to hang out. Mind you, gay runs were unheard of back then in 2007 so I never smelt a rat. Before he left, he dished out n2000 to me and promised me more when he comes back.
Though the money so little, it felt so much to me at that time cos I was dead broke due to my parents financial situation but deep down within me, I started growing suspicious of the man. My spirit was not down with him but I decided to go with the flow cos of my temporary vulnerability. I did a little google search on Tunji Alaso films and found out little about him. A little reference was made about his movie productions but I wasn't still satisfied nor convinced. Deep down I was still disturbed.
I was forced to confide in my longtime friend from OSU (OSUITES are the baddest) and he told me to go ahead but I should update him about how everything unravels. Fortunately for me, the very day Mr Tunji was coming back to IB I was in company of that my friend that I confided in. He called me in his presence and said that I should meet him at tantalizers where we met the last time. He also said he will be spending the night in my place so as to save hotel expenses. My stomach turned upon hearing that but still, I was happy my friend was there with me. We decided to go and meet him together so that he can "access" the man. To be honest,Tunji looked weird but was also friendly in a weird way
We got there and my friend being a badt guy ordered without inhibitions and we spent about n9000 when we were about to leave. When Tunji went about sorting the bill, my friend pulled me aside and said with a seriousness I have never seen in him before..."my guy...run!!!
Omo...immediately I heard what my friend just said, my brain just begin calculate how I go take escape. As my friend wan discharge us, he began to pinch me, pestering me to help him collect transport money from the guy (badt guy).
I managed to help him collect N1000 and he went on his own, leaving me to my own predicament. As my friend left and we headed towards his car, Mr Tunji told me he will be spending the night in my place since my peeps were not around and so as to save hotel bills. He said we had rather used the hotel money for gyration later in the night. We entered the vehicle and we first headed towards bere with the excuse that he wanted to see one of his relatives, then he started chest beating about his achievements and people that he knew. He made mention of one former I.G of police Mike Okiro and many other influential people. He made mention that he just spoke with Okiro and he would be having a meeting with him in Abuja as soon as he leaves Ibadan. For my mind, I be like "wetin consign [/i]me". Make he just talk wetin he go talk make I find any chance to escape jare
Fortunately for me when we got to bere, he left me by my own in the vehicle and he went inside the compound of a building beside the main road that looked like a babalawo house and I found the perfect chance for my escape. Before the blink of an eye, I was out of the vehicle and in an instant I immediately crossed over to the other side of the road and disappeared. He only discovered my disappearance minutes later. I was expecting him to call and was prepared for his convo.
I politely told him I was sorry we can't be acquaintances because my mind was really unsettled about it and I immediately switched off my phone and that was it. I never again heard from him till date.
Few years down the line, I was able to summon courage and share the tale with some of my loud, street boy friends. At the time, gay runs was now a common occurrence and many tales about a particular Alhaji gay they usually talked about correlates with his kind of person. They all told me with all certainty that he was the one and I was lucky I escaped with my yansh unhurt . I immediately did another google search on him and this time I saw his pics and many evil tales of homosexuality and bounty hunting attributed to him. I was like
That was how Jah saved my yansh

I guess my parents prayers shielded me
