No, let him not relax the lockdown. By the way, which money will they use to buy food and medicine, the one he shared to the residents? Nigeria, a land where politicians are more powerful than the people who empowered them, a theater of some sort. |
The judgment has simply been Rigged. Fresh trial indeed, why not Kuku aquit him of all charges. The fresh judgement will be ready to be delivered perhaps after 10 years. If not in his favour, the appeal court will rule after another 10 years or so (if he still lives). If still not in his favour, Supreme Court court will hold back judgement because he would have died of "natural causes" before they are ready. Scam of a country. |
My wife bought two tubers of yam for N1000 each at Rainbow market on Wednesday, a day before Port Harcourt total lockdown. I took the tubers to the car. She changed her mind and decided to add one more tuber, when she got back to the seller, he inflated it to N1,500, (it wasn't up to 5 minutes she bought the first set) . She felt exploited of course and didn't make the purchase. Later that same day her friend came around. She told her friend how market women were doing shakara- how ugu was sold for N200 per small bunch and the sellers will curse you if you dare haggle price with them the way they don't like. Buyers were at their mercy. Then her friend shared her own experience. Told of how a tomato seller insisted that she doesn't sell shombo alone, it has to be alongside tomatoes. Meaning, if you're not buying tomatoes, you can't buy the pepper. Another woman called her to come buy the pepper at cut-throat price. The panick buying caused all this. Las Las, we dey the lockdown together. Share your experience if any Biko. Na here we dey. |
I personally don't subscribe to this. But, if it's actually for the 'greater good', fine. The Rivers State Governor has announced that there'll be total lockdown in Obio-Akpor and PHC LGAs, the major urban centres of the state, from Thursday. What happens in reality is that people migrate from lockdown areas to relatively unrestricted areas, thus making those areas to be crowded. Man must wack. People should only be made to wear protective gears and go about their businesses, failure which attracts some sanctions. Locking down everywhere will only grow lack and hunger. Just my opinion sha. https://www.channelstv.com/2020/05/04/wike-places-port-harcourt-obio-akpor-lgas-on-total-lockdown/ |
Her life. Sometimes in life what you like is what the society generally abhors. Because you don't want to look odd, you indulge in those things in secret. Keep cautioning her. If it's her life, beat her as you like, she will grow with it. And when she does, even if you don't like it, she'll still do the thing, only perhaps in secret. Come on, but some pregnant women not only like perceiving such stuff, they like eating them. One leaves her food to go sour, then consume at that state. Another would want to perceive another person's poo. She'll tell her husband to poo on a paper and she'll sit by the toilet door and relish the smell as much as she wants. Yet another will get dry shit and hold it close to her nose. With these cases of pregnant women matter, I wouldn't agree 100% with anyone that it has any negative health implication. My advice? Just keep scolding her like we scold a child who sucks his lips, some eventually grow with it, and it is their life. |
Thank God the son said he exhibited symptoms of covid |
So the news of that shack costing N7B is true? The actions of our politicians are becoming so brazen. I see a revolution loading in this country. |
I doubt this story. Please show us everything done with the money. |
I doubt this story |
70 days from today you mean? Is it not more than 70 days since people started dying in China? |
paulGrundy:You know some people would always want a reason to do what they want. |
topcatking:He has already, we all need to obey His commands. |
paxonel:No man who does a sinners will inherit the kingdom of God. |
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 New International Version (NIV) 9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. |
topcatking:For a scripture that is clear? |
Sometimes I hear people, even some 'clergy' say: 'that is their sexual orientation, God created them that way, bla bla bla. And then I wonder if they have a different interpretation to I Corinthians 6:9-10. The Bible clearly states it. Except if they are not bible-reading church goers. Or is it the normal devil's strategy of blindfolding people? Na wa o! God's wish for everyone He created is to be free. Any man who shies away from this is the architect of his own bondage. Shalom. |
aadoiza:Even mad people tell sane people the truth sometimes. Seriously, I used to think so of Islamic burials, and I thought it better than spending millions on caskets. |
The challenge I have with Nigeria sometimes is that some of these speculations turn out to be the truth. I thought Muslims are usually buried wrapped in mats, I only saw casket, or perhaps I didn't see the whole thing? Time is a neutralizer. |

A lot of things thought to be 'unbelievable' has been happening in Nigeria lately. I wonder what next. |
Isiukwuato people should handle that. |
Waiting to confirm this news before I talk. |
I'll talk if this is true. For now, mba! |
Which one be small pepper? You it's everyone, even in Nigeria, that likes pepper? I don't. And if I taste a food and it's that spicy, I'll just thank you and wash my hands. Unless when I know it's peppery and decide to eat it-'like pepper soup. But then, I'll have be prepared for that. |
So oyc is the deciding party in SE? |
Thank God I didn't read "maid poisoned..." They should work to replace the "valuables". She may be caught, but the 'valuables' wouldn't come back in one piece, police will cut from any recovered, after they have extorted the family in the namr of 'money to pursue the case'. No be this country? |
The memory will remain with the boy, now he becomes an orphan, danger to the society, unless there is an intervention. |
Too much cannabis |
This will not teach how to maintain this when the border is opened. My country? Once border is opened, 120 trucks a day. Shouldn't the customs officers in charge there be sacked? |
Vicbellington:Op, your grammar/typos have joined forces to disqualify kemi. But this kemi is uniquely beautiful. |
