Laudable. Here that we have the source in abundance and should blaze the trail on such ventures will wait and buy the used parts after 5-10 years. Nigerian Government will tell you solar is expensive, hydropower is the most affordable, yet you can't get power when you need it. In fact, we need to relocate Nigeria. |
Romance › Re: Ladies, What Is The Most Annoying Question A Guy Has Ever Asked You? by ruffhandu: 12:55am On Sep 08, 2019 |
XhosaNostra: Lol, I have this thing...I'm not sure what to call it (an aura perhaps?) that makes people do & say weird things. I cannot speak of social media experiences because I'm not big on that. However, I could write a book on the craziest things I've seen & heard in my waking life.
One time I was having a random conversation with a tattoo artist in my area. Out of the blue, he asked if I wanted to see his penìs tattoo & before I could grasp out a response, Jack was already out of the pulpit. It was just bizarre. I didn't find that particular incident annoying though. What I find annoying is the fact that people seem to feel (free?) enough around me to say & do inappropriate things. I'm not talking only about people I'm acquainted with (like the tattoo guy), but also random strangers I don't know from Adam. I've seem more penìses than a whòrehouse wench. Strangely enough, this didn't start now. We moved from my early childhood home because my father beat up a neighbour for exposing himself to me. I believe I was 8 or 9 at the time. It has happened so often that now I almost expect it & that's the annoying part of it. I know many may have scientific explanations to this. But, this may be spiritual. You may not be in control of the spirit in charge, hence your not being interested sometimes (or most times). Have you ever had the opportunity of interacting with your victim(s) after their misdemeanor? If yes, were they in charge of their life during the act? |

Business › Re: NIBSS: Stop! Or You Drown Us All by ruffhandu: 10:20pm On Aug 26, 2019 |
Given that NIBSS may need to upgrade their infrastructure, the author seems to forget there'll always be challenges - teething ones if I may call it. But, in any case, we are on the path to cashless society, and onward we go.
For now, I don't trust the system 100% (I doubt if I ever will). I always have extra to get me something, in case I am disappointed. Nigeria is growing at an alarming rate. Fintechs seem to halt the physical expansion of banks by branches (they have also joined the race to reach the unbaked through agency banking).
Las las, we are better off than we were. For the 30,000 transactions that failed in one day, the author did not tell us how many were successful in the same bank.
You may be surprised to hear that our clearing system is more advanced than some european countries. |

I hope it won't be a white elephant project. Did CBN just wake up? The Edo state Governor spoke well, not just talk talk, there needs to be a solid plan in place. The banks need to be carried along, not CBN telling the banks to 'ensure they secure the loans', which will make the loans inaccessible by the farmers who actually need them. Inasmuch as it's not a grant, it has to be accessible to the farmers who need the fund, without C of O et al. It's a good move, but if not properly put in perspective, then it'll be a story Godwin arranged to show he is ready now to look like a nationalist since all his four years was spent doing Buhari's bidding, which earned him a second term. |

Crime › Re: FRSC Doctor Refuses To Treat Woman Who Stopped Him From Molesting Her by ruffhandu: 5:53pm On Jul 21, 2019 |
rentAcock: This whole Timi Dakola vs COZA case has ignited a kind of "me too" movement where women all over Nigeria are standing up to rapists and men in high places who use their influence to molest women. While this is a commendable development and we should all encourage the expurgination of abusive men everywhere, we shouldn't do so at the detriment of good men.
Nothing in her post suggests that she was molested by the Male doctor. She didn't want the scan performed by a male doctor and a female doctor carried out the scan. So why would she still accuse the man of molesting her or having bad intentions? It doesn't make any sense. Maybe the man overreacted by asking her to leave a government hospital of which he is just an employee, but after being accused of such an embarrassing act probably in the presence of other patients and his staff, who wouldn't also overreact?
Everyone is looking for their own Dakola moment to shine but we should always apply common sense to separate the truth from falsehood. I am tempted to 'be sure' you either didn't read or get all the info there, or you're just rallying round the doctor for some personal reasons. The Dr refused her being treated. So even if he was wrongly accused, she now deserves to die? He should be charged for attempted rape previously, and attempted murder after attempted rape. Whatever those/that mean(s). |

A southerner I'm sure. The northern soldiers bribe to be sent down to the south where they engage in oil theft, extort motorists, and use their guns to terrorize and dehumanise civilians. They engage things as petty as killing husbands of women who refuse their advances (Akwa Ibom case and others). |

An attack on Nigerians is imminent. But Ghanians are not clean too when it comes to crime and witchcraft. But for this case, no hard evidence against them, just a mere allegation. If the 'over twenty men' had found the body in their room, then that'l would be sure. Sometimes this is just jealousy. When some people see you doing better than them, then you must be a criminal. Blacks have such mindset. |
