We have the Babangida boys, we have the Abacha boys.., they were not made billoniares for no purpose.. it's smart politics anyway. It's fact... But most of these so called southern politicians are actually creations of the nothern oligarchy! You are answerable to your creator.. it works that way. People have been upset but normally for this kind of uprising to happen, couple of things have to be in place.. I think hopelessness is one of them. Folks are not seeing the way out of the whole economic problems as the government seems unable to proffer any solution. Then there is the unemployment issue which effects the teaming youths a lot... Again,, the politicians lately started acting like they don't care anymore. More or else rubbing their loot in people's faces.. Most importantly though, is the involvement of the celebrities. . It used to be the labor union heading this kind of protests but now, things have changed since the labor unions seem compromised. Theep way they chickened out of any protest few weeks ago was a bit tough to swallow..The celebrities are young and can easily draw the crowd. That gave a lot of people the impetus to step out too...

You know how it's always twisted in this country. I think ipob has done well to just stay away and allow the new entrants the opportunity to taste fire. He has obviously stolen more than the amount you mentioned... Calculate the net reveneu that officially accreus to Lagos State every month and then take away 10%.. Then multiply that 10% yearly and add the number of years Tinubu has been running amock with the finances of most SW states... Mind you, the socalled 10% is just the officially agreed monthly deduction from Alphabeta. Don't forget tht as is typical with arrangements like this, many tax returns will not be reported since Alphabeta is also incharge of collecting such revenues not just in Lagos but in some APC states where Hushcobar Tinubu has managed to impose his corrupt stooges. There used to be a time when you can't cut down a tree on any street without government permission.. These days, maybe with the exception of few cities, the government departments responsible for such have been so messed up with unintelligent staffs that you can cut down all the trees and flowers in a street in most Nigerian cities and nothing will happen! As I am writing this, I'm told that one of my neighbors in the east decided to biuld his fence straight from the edge of the gutters thereby blocking the pedestrian path somewhat! Everybody there is quiet because he is a known trouble maker.

If I carry it on my head, it will look like I'm taking it personal. Meanwhile the government agency responsible has already collected their egunje and are now looking the other way. I said it in a related thread about the need to biuld modern roads in nigeria that most Nigerians underate the net effects of staffing government departments with inept hands and corrupt officers. People are being paid monthly to do these jobs but then folks can't deliver what they don't have. Most officers in most of these departments can't even comprehend the scope or the importance of their work.

Abaribe should stop allowing himself to be used at this time... Lawan and his colony of thieves shouldn't be sending him to go and use his image to calm upset Nigerians. The protest at the Senate should be to STOP their extremely fat allowances. There is nothing special about the work of a typical Nigerian senate that Should justify the massive amounts of money they corner every month, while their mates in other climese who are even far more productive take less..

This government has itself to blame if things really spiral out of control.. Buhari was given enough time and patience. All he does is to lazy around in the presidential Vila. It's wrong to turn the Villa into an old peoples home. The country is facing huge challenges. High unemployment rate, insurgency here and there, infastructural decay, unproductive economy, ethnic bickering an all that! But what do we get? A highly polarising president who seem to enjoy stoking the fire while fanning the embers of corruption and tribalism. Buhari really needs to go back to Daurra. He is not up to the job. He lacks both the intelligence and temperament to run an inclusive government capable of stoping Nigeria from sliding off the Cliff. I say this because from the way things re going, this country has a detiny with serious violent conflicts in the future if Buhari continues with his annoying style of sectional and unproductive governance..
