Someone called 911 that a person is breaking into cars in the neighbourhood.

Police were dispatched and after finding this guy, he started running. Jumping over fences from compound to compound until he reached his own backyard. There was a heat-sensing helicopter tracking him throughout the process and guiding the police on the ground to him.

When he reached his backyard, which most likely/obviously the policemen did not know was his home, they came from an angle of the backyard and one of the police officers screamed "gun" i.e. claiming he saw him holding a gun (note, it was at night in the dark, with the officers using touchlights), and the guy was immediately shot 20 times by both officers who had enough cover behind a wall for them not to be shot. No chance to give himself up and most of the shots were while he was on the floor (after being hit by a bullet or trying to give himself up).

After shooting him, they did not go to his body to assist him, and said on their radio that they would not approach him until they had back-up. This is after popping 20 bullets at him and he is lying motionless. They then turned their recording microphone to mute.

Later when no gun was found, they changed their story to "they thought he was holding a crowbar" (but he was about 5 metres away from them). All he had on him was his mobile phone.

Osun which is practically a rural area is the 3rd most indebted state in Nigeria. But the state has one of the least IGR in Nigeria. I ashamed to come from Osun state. The below was as at 2016. The current debt status of Osun is at 270billion.






The Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) says that the debt burden of the 36 states of the federation rose to over N3.342 trillion as of 2016.

Lagos, Delta, Osun and Akwa Ibom topped the debt chart, with a total debt profile of N1.262 trillion representing about 38% of debts owed by the 36 states of the federation.

The break down shows that Lagos was indebted to the tune of N603.25 billion, Delta, N331.95 billion, while Osun and Akwa Ibom are owing N165.91 billion and N161.23 billion respectively.

This information was contained in the third edition of NEITI Quarterly Review, summarised in a statement by Ogbonnaya Orji, NEITI director of information.

The publication with facts and data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, FAAC and Debt Management Office (DMO), is consistent with the mandate of NEITI on monitoring of fiscal allocation and statutory disbursement of revenues due to the three tiers of government.

NEITI’s legitimate interest in the debt profiles, revenue generation and management in Nigeria is as a result of the fact that over 70 percent of the revenues involved are derived from the extractive industry.

The review shows that Yobe and Anambra states have the least debt burden of N11.74 billion and N20.60 billion respectively as at the end of 2016.

The NEITI publication also expressed concern that the total indebtedness of N3.342 trillion by the 36 states represented 55.15 percent of the 2016 budget of N6.06 trillion and 45.8 per cent of the 2017 budget estimates of about N7.3 trillion.

Keep a record of ALL shady receipts they tell you to sign.

Record the date, the submitter, the vendor, the amount and maybe even take a picture of the receipt.

So the day anyone comes to audit or challenge you, you submit everything at once to the CEO without being asked. So it is clear you did it under duress and you are willing to help.
