You have even stopped attempting to give any opinion because all the daft ones you gave earlier (like newspapers and TV one) led to me humiliating you with them.
Now watch how njokusboy would join you in terrified running.
njokusboy: There is clearly no middle ground, i cannot argue with one who hasn't made any point.. one would think the educational system in naija is responsible for all your failures, the way you go on about it....
You are a cretinous fuuktard!
Defend the point you saw as "Bravo".
So is it natural for woman to marry into the family of men as your superstar fuuktard said?
Please indulge me and don't run like the pussiclat.
crackhaus: Which is what I found funny in all of this.
I responded to about three different bits from the OP in three different posts, saga-tinyweenie-mite is still on the first one and has not even rebutted it in its entirety...
You are a cretinous fuuktard!
Can you defend your response?
Your excuse is that you need to see response to all 3 before you defend the first?
That is the lame attempt at saving face?
No worry.
Kontinu!
I am here tranga to humiliate your dumb arsse.
Liverless Pussiclat!
I will CHOOSE when and how I humiliate you as I please. It is the benefit of being imperiously intelligent.
marycool18: Yea they aren't African names and I'm so aware of that... you feel free to add your native name to that, but you just made me lol! If people had sense? Really? Those who use English names ain't got sense? You must really be bitter!! Well your moniker doesn't sound so native so I guess you are one of those 'people'
What does my moniker sound like?
It sounds like "Mary" to you?
Let me make you look stuuupid! It would take me a few seconds.
Mutaino7: (grabs mic and faces camera)NAIJA LADIES and GENTLEMEN am presently at teslim balogun stadium to witness what is being titled the fight of the year......(looks left and right).... I present to you on my left LEE SAGAMITE a.k.a phaggit(only jah know) vs WIU CRAKHAUS a.k.a cretin(i only know of retina)... this is fight till you poof or peme.. (faces camera.. naija ladies and bros we will now go for commercial break..) cameraman how my pose?
Are you reetarded?
I told you this is not a fight, this is a public humiliating beating. Like a street beating with the one being beat crying and begging for help while running for his life. Bullying by the more powerful.
What you need to announce is for someone to call 999.
crackhaus: The sad and unfortunate part is that you're not even coming up with anything new and really starting to bore me...at least, put your back into it b1tch and make it a challenge. Is this the smarts and ingenuity you so brazenly brag about?
I'm even more sad for the person who thought calling on sagamite to engage me in a debate/word-fest when peeps like coog and TV are there...
All I keep reading are fvcktard, moronic, cretinuous, failed education system, etc.
What is the meaning of fvcktard? Is it even a word?
Your family in the village ought to be ashamed that their only hope out of poverty can't come up with new words in all the years he's spent on NL, not to mention making enough dough to send back home.
Saga-tinyweenie-mite, sagamu's bravest numbskull with a god-complex...
misayada: The fact that you have to wait to get married before having sex is not the end of the world, it is going to be worth the wait. Sex in marriage is still going to be whatever you want it to be. (Chill and just see what I mean
I know marriage can be deemed as boring for some after a while and the thought of it been the most exciting time for sex can be hilarious but there is so much more in marriage. If you love each other, there is no stopping you......Don't let the thought of children, bills, birth control and some other responsibilities fizzle all the excitement way.
Constant Upgrades All the time you both have to get better is available, you are bound to be together for the rest of your life!! Imagine having to make much better improvements/upgrades to your system/phone every day! All the benefits you get to enjoy!! (Not talking 'Fifty Shades' kinda upgrade though....no judging if that's your thing though
The True Nature of Sex My Dad says its the best feeling in the world, no body should tell you other wise; why not enjoy it with your own soul mate/your spouse/your best friend. It’s only in marriage that you can both enjoy the more than physical nature of sex. Sex is much more than your bodies, it’s an intimacy between two human beings (body and soul), what better way to enjoy this than in marriage.
Another desperate and pathetic attempt by a woman to proselytize the chimeral advantages of marriage because she is desperate to ensure the failed institution continues as she sees it as to her advantage.
EnlightenedSoul: Then stop playing the broken record, @sshat. 'Cause neither am I looking back to rewrite, yet again, something I explained weeks ago, which your lazy @ss couldn't comprehend and now refuse to investigate and fact-check for yourself through the use of a common effing dictionary. If there's any psycho here, its you.
Let's explore your the stats from your various sources...
20% Work (past) - At office or through co-workers. 10% Work(now) - At office or through co-workers.
And....
18% Work
37% Work/School
Combo. Need I say more?
17.9 Work
No Data Work/School
Combo. Also a school/work model and provides no standing data, but refers to a Match.com survey with no citation.
DailyMail tells us that 14% of people who met at work ----> Marry
The main claim of this DailyMail article is to compare the likelihood of couples who met through work to marry to the 11% who met through friends, and others still who met at night out on the town at the local club, whilst barhopping, or on holiday resorts. My favorite portion throughout has to be:
"Another 22 per cent of couples who met in a nightclub didn't get any further than the first night"
Oh-Em-Gurd, so one night stands at nightclubs don't typically lead to marriage? A moment of shocked silence!
At 38% Work, but offers no citation...and CareerBuilder. This is your best "source", lol.
Conclusion: Your pure "Work" stats range from 10%-20(past)% (within the estimated range of my previous comment). Your "Work/School" combos come in at 37-38%. And then, there's that last AOL "Work" stat that not only completely contradicts every other survey you've presented, but remains dubious at best in its accuracy/representation. Yeah...I'd say my observation stands.
Say what? Should you, Sackashytw/mites, even talk of dictionaries since you've clearly shown yourself to have something against their use??
You are a cretinous fuuktard!
I have not read this.
So you ca write all this but you are running from explaining:
On what basis did you call LinkedIn "Business-orientated"?
What "business" is being done on LinkedIn?
What proportion of people with profiles on LinkedIn are on it to do "business" or actually do "business" on it, fuuktard?
Or you thought this was your chance to deviate from that?
crackhaus: Lmao... The little immigrant cockroach believes it can make anyone quake.
Apart from being an intellectual midget, you also suffer from a psychotic god-complex....probably to mask the insecurity of having a tiny weenie and no self-esteem.
My bravado aside (compliment taken BTW), I could squash you with my eyes blindfolded while you continuously feed off the leftovers.
You're my b1tch, b1tch!
crackhaus: Tiny weenie phaggit, on what planet are you able to bully crackhaus... You better recognize boy... anytime you see this moniker, show some respect. Crackhaus never runs b1tch, bring it on anytime...
You are a cretinous fuuktard!
If you know you are not terrified then why are you running?
I boasted to Mutaino7 that I was going to pummel you and you were going run. Instead of you to stand up like a man and prove me wrong, you decided to prove me right.
Liver fail you?
Cretinous fuuktard, lets try again. Maybe you have had a liver transplant:
Which moronic schools taught your daft arsse that a woman (or a man) have to marry into a family?
crackhaus: This b1tch is going to have nightmares tonight with the way he repeats and types my moniker...
So this is your problem with me phaggit?
Get off my d1ck sagamite, I only replied a very biased OP with an insight of mine. If after reading all of it, your spongebrain got the impression that crackhaus thinks he's right, educated, and intelligent, when he never used those words, then its pretty obvious your inferiority complex took a big hit.
TV01: I would dispute that assertion - it was an attempt to codify the prevailing morés of the time - with of course some external influence.
No one sat down with the rubric "how can we institutionalise discrimination against women" and set to work. Just like no one thought "lets look at where we are now and where we will be in 50 years and promulgate future proof laws. The law evolves.
The prevailing morelu of the time was that "women are inferior human with inferior rights".
Codifying the prevailing morelu of the time was treating "women as inferior human with inferior rights".
Furthermore, some of these laws were made in 1990. So lets stop saying it was colonialism. It was the backward mentality of the cretins that composed it. And we still have such cretins here like crackhaus thinking he is right, educated and intelligent.
TV01: If laws are to be ever "progressive", then you can never be right can you? Or at best, you can only be right, right now - which brings us back to evolving .
No!
It can be right. It is quite easy. We only need to have someone with superior logical brains to formulate it and then educate people to understand it.
Unfortunately, majority of people are fuuktards that just think something is right because "they have heard it" and "that is the way it is done". That is why a cretinous fuuktard like crackhaus can stand like the fuuktard he is and dig his heels in that a "woman marries into a man's family".
The fuuktard even claimed it was a "natural phenomenon"!
Educate such fuuktards on the RIGHT things and soon they would have heard it enough and seen the way it is done then it would be their new axiom.
What the world needs is good leaders. That is one of the main things that has been holding Africa backwards. Useless leaders.
Especially considering it appears the black race is quite inferior in indepedent reasoning.
TV01: Only to a degree and to ensure it is fairly done. Society cannot just give leave to everyones unfettered desires, Hence why we have laws, traditions, customs and morés in the first place.
Equality and freedom is not everyone's unfettered desires. It is everyone's reasonable desire.
The desire for equality only changes when one person sees that their incapability/incompetence can mean equality would result in them being at a disadvantage, then they start looking for how they can instil legalised superiority.
Freedom should only be curtailed when it can be used to harm others or cause [REASONABLY] trouble that can lead to harming others. It is more subjective than equality.
TV01: You can't go into the wordl Saga - well at least not until you've sorted out NL first !
crackhaus: Nigga, if you're smarter than those who drafted the constitution of a country, then you should be able to start your own country complete with your own Constitution, dvmbfvck...
Not that I expected you to understand that though...what an infant.
You are a cretinous fuuktard!
Is that the "logical" progression Patience taught you?
Can you see that the failed education has destroyed your daft life?
crackhaus: Sheppopotamus Patience with all her lack of finese reached and achieved what you, your family, ancestors, and generations combined have/will never achieve.
Don't hate on your betters b1tch, use that sh1t of a brain and become the next Albert Einstein if he were a FOB immigrant sagamu boy.
Do you know the meaning of fvcktard? Is it even a word?
You are a cretinous fuuktard!
I knew a cretin like Patience would be an iconic hero to a cretinous fuuktard like you?
So Patience is an achiever in your reasoning?
Can you see why I said if you added your entire lineage's intelligence, you can never be as smart as I am?
TV01: We are not deliberating your beliefs, just what this particular portion ot the Nigerian constitutions says - in context. It was sexist to both men and women - if you are viewing things from that perspective. It was peculiar to that era and the antecedents of the constitution.
Well we are suppose to be delibrating sense, correctness, progress and improvements.
Things my beliefs always stand for. Hence we ARE indirectly deliberating my beliefs.
The constitution's aim was to see women as an inferior human with inferior rights, so it was aimed to be sexist against WOMEN.
It being perculiar to the era does not make it right.
It does not make it sensible, correct, progressive and apt. It is against my beliefs, hence it is OBVIOUSLY completely wrong.
Why? Because I am always right!
TV01: But the plaintive cry of this thread is how women are institutionallly/legally discriminated against in Nigeria and the world over
Yes, they are.
Unfortunately, many mooorons that want to change this think the solution is to reverse the discrimination.
TV01: Again, that is your position, not necessarily the focus here, but needless to say, promulgating laws through a "gendered" lens, sounds somewhat "funky" to me. I would personally opt for a more holistic, what better serves all round" approach.
That is the right, sensible, progressive and most appropriate position.
A position of equality and giving each individual the right to control and decide their destiny.
TV01: With hindsight, the whole world practices stupidity - laws are being enacted and repealed everywhere and all the time. Hence my noting that we are all "evolving", for "better or worse". IN 50 years time what is considered right now, may well be considered dated then.
That is why the world needs people like me with foresight, so hindsight becomes largely redundant.
TV01: Discrimination is what humans live and die by every minute of every day. And some forms of discrimination are perfectly and legally appropriate. In marrying my wife, I discriminated against all the other candidates - ok, there was just one and we were too closely related !
If you buy a Benz, you discriminate against Jags and all the others, if you choose to live in Chelsea, you are hating on Dagenham.
Don't confuse "choice" with "discrimination".
TV01: When, and by whom was "Equality" decided to be the underpinning of the law. And even if you don't mean in the new-age sense of the word, equality means to treat things similarly situated or all aspect alike the same under the law. It doesn;t mean the use of the law to "equalise" things that are in purpose, design, function or outcome quantitavely different.
The law does not intrude on relationships - unless you willingly place yourself under a relationship defined by law.
TV
It is the fair and most objective way to underpin a law. So 'when it was decided' is irrelevant.
crackhaus: Didn't I say that this boy has serious complex issues? You're smarter than them all put together, and yet no one sees your name and face plastered on newspapers and TV. Why haven't you started your own country on that account? Wait let me guess, your 18hrs a day job doesn't pay enough...yes?
If you think being smart means travelling via the Sahara and then stuffed in a canoe with 100s of your sagamu brothers to cross into Europe, then you surely need a reboot...
You are a cretinous fuuktard!
Fuuktard, do cretins like you even read newspapers?
To demonstrate how moronic you are, do you even know my real name to know whether it is not plastered on newspapers and TV?
Does people with high intellect necessarily have their names plastered on newspapers and TV?
Or you just want to tell us that geniuses to you are the Kardashians?
Fuuktard, so confirmation of intelligence is "starting your own country"?
Cretinous fuuktard, I repeat:
Which moronic schools taught your daft arsse that a woman (or a man) have to marry into a family?
Fuuktard, do you know the meaning of naturally?
You scared now? YOU FCKING SCARED?
Mutaino7, can you see how easy it is for me to destroy this your moronic hero?
crackhaus: That a woman naturally marries into the man's family ditto country, is a premise that disadvantages women - this is the opinion of saga-tinyweenie-mite.
What is the alternative genius?
You are a cretinous fuuktard!
Product of a failed education system.
I repeat:
Which moronic schools taught your daft arsse that a woman (or a man) have to marry into a family?
crackhaus: This struggling immigrant has come here to hate on superior reasoning he wished he thought of first...
Yes, a woman would naturally marry into the family of a man ditto his country...da fvck is sexist about that? Someone has to marry into the other's family at the end of the day, and it will still be considered sexist if it was men marrying into the woman's family...so what gives b1tch?
That aside, the constitutionion already more than makes up for the oversight in not mentioning what happens when a Nigerian woman marries a foreigner, you dvmbfvck. You are not smarter than the men and women who drafted it.
And then he goes on and on about me thinking I made sense or my supposed brilliance... Obviously, this is the only problem you had with my entire post when in fact it's your inferiority complex hitting you squarely in the face. Hey lookie here Mr FOB struggling immigrant, anytime you encounter something profoundly out of your self-hyped depth, better recognize and show some respect. It isn't anyone's fault that God blessed you with a tiny d1ck which you try to make up for by hyping your so-called intelligence which is actually very limited to the repeated use of moronic fvcktard and failed education system which you're also a product of at the end of the day.
BTW, the author of this thread couldn't even deal with my rebuttal as is usual with folks who go on the internet to post articles from half-azzed sources without doing some research on their own...only for this saga-numbskull-mite to come at me like a lapdog on her behalf and still ended up saying nothing but repeating 'moronic' like 500times. Nigga, you tripping.
Fvck outta my face with your deluded use of repeated lines.
B1tchazz.
You are a cretinous fuuktard!
Product of a failed education system.
Which moronic schools taught your daft arsse that a woman (or a man) have to marry into a family?
What kind of fuukard is this?
And your moronic arsse would say "I am a graduate"?
Fuuktard, I am smarter than the cretins that drafted that stewpid law and your entire generation put together.
You think I think in the realms of moronic fuuktards like you?
TV01: Indeed, viewing through the “modern” lens of “equality” and, specifically “gender equality”, it may well appear “sexist”. But there would have been similar burdens and expectations on the man that would equally be deemed sexist if viewed from the same perspective.
So for example, he would have been “expected” to be solely responsible to protect and provide for the woman and any children they may have”, is that not equally sexist? Have you yourself not railed against the unfairness of divorce laws? Either you’ve become an Emma Watson fan or you’ve….wait 0! Saga, Saga, you get news
No, my views are not from a "modern or so-called 21st Century lens".
I am not funky. I will never be funky. Neither am I medieval. I will never be medieval.
This is coming from the realms of Intellectual and Logical Thinking. The glorious Thinking where gender equality is supported and it actually means equality, not women getting advantage.
If there are laws based on the premise of any burden or expectations on a man, solely because of his gender, then that law is sexist.
For example, I know in the UK, it is the law that the burden to get consent for sex is solely placed on the shoulder of the man. I find that as sexist.
I am sure I have even read somewhere that a wife sued a man in Nigeria for not providing for her and the court took the case. That is sexist.
In my philosophy, both parents should provide for their child, not just the man, based on REASONABLE needs and divided based on proportion of earnings. Furthermore, there should be a mechanism to ensure the money is actually being spent on the child by the parent acting as custodian of the child.
I rail against divorce laws because, in the UK, the laws are sexist against men. In Nigeria, the laws are sexist against women.
TV01: These things should be parsed as a whole – it was about harmony and flourishing, not discrimination. Those were the social morés agreed and in place at the time. Rightly or wrongly, the law merely sought to codify them.
I repeat, laws should not be formulated based on premises that disadvantages, directly or indirectly, ANY GENDER. That is my stance on gender equality.
When the opposite is done, sexism has taken place.
TV01: And it’s worth mentioning that large sections of our constitution were lifted wholesale for the British one. They had like traditions and, for "better or worse", are evolving, as we all are. It’s not to say that those laws were instituted with the specific aim of oppressing women – which is the whole thrust of this pathetic thread.
We can't continue practicing stupidity based on the excuse "It was given to us under colonial times". (not saying that is your own stance)
As much as I call black people monkeys, I still believe we have a little bit of brain. Lets use it!
TV01: Pathetic and atrociously pitiful thread. An utter fail. Women are discriminated against all over the world? Discrimination against women is institutionalised?? And for what? A married woman is was once required to have her husband’ written permission to obtain a passport What a bunch of near-unredeemable whingers. Oh my! So;
1.What was the point? – it was all about the integrity of the family and acknowledging the traditional headship of the husband – nothing implicitly wrong with that, and in that era 2. What was the implication? – the crippling cost and life-threatening trauma of having hubby pen a brief note – a totally unecessary burden on the husband ! 3. What now? – the law was repealed once anyone cared to challenge it. But some still think it serves as an example of women being under the boot of the evil patriarchy
And a woman being able to obtain a Nigerian passport far more readily than a man is discrimination against women, not men? Is that all you can find? Does that mark Nigeria as an antediluvian cesspit of misogyny and it’s men as brutish cavemen. Anything meaty? or even a tad bit relevant to present?
Well, I have news for you “men are discriminated against – and institutionally – the world over”. Take a snippet of current – not dated or repealed - laws/application of laws in the West;
A father does not automatically have Parental rights to his children unless he is married to or marries the mother. If he is married to the mother of the child and it turns out not to be his, he cannot readily disclaim parental responsibility.
If a woman decides she doesn’t want a baby she wilfully conceived, she can abort it, if a man doesn’t, unless the woman agrees, tough. If the man causes the woman to miscarry, it’s murder, if the woman aborts, it’s a “clump of cells”
If the woman decides she doesn’t want the baby after delivery, she only has to put it up for adoption or simply leave it with a note at a convenient place – no questions asked. A man will be on the hook for child support till the child is 18, if it can be proven he is the biological father – whatever his views or desires at any stage from conception to birth.
Yes, there are probably some vestigial traditions that hampered women - just like there were some that disadvantaged men. Discrimination is not institutionalised against women any more than it is against men. The law actually treats men way more harshly thanr women, and burdens then a lot more - especially when it comes to punishment for crimes.
So please, just quit this “victim mentality” tripe and if anyone has things they need to work through, please seek help.
TV
All forms of discrimination, in ANY part of the world has to be reversed.
Equality should be the premise the law is based on.
If 2 people then get together and decide, to create "harmony", they want to practice some form of non-equality, then fine.
I, for one, would never practice equality in my relationship. I am the BOSS, if any girl does not like it, she is free to take a hike!
I should not be able to force her to take it and the law should not back me to force her to take it. But we should both have the choice to decide if that is what we individually want or not.
"Choice is one of the great ingredients of happiness" - Sagamite 2015.
EnlightenedSoul: Sackashytw/mites "The Time Vampire's" agenda for today the last MONTH and counting:
1. Look up the term "business-oriented" (a term already explained to you at time and time throughout this mind-numbing shyt charade of yours, BTW).
2. Cite where I stated the red-herring argument I conveniently outlined for you in red above, which was bolstered with comically inflated figures like "up to 40%" and vaguely 'cited' with words like "depending on the survey" for support, when no survey in sight pertaining to the US breaks so much as an even 20%.
Also, keep this in mind: Meeting through work =/= dating a coworker necessarily, as I should know.
You are a cretinous fuuktard!
I could not be bothered to provide a link of something I read weeks ago to a mentally-ill psycho feminist that is running from questions to defend her moronic assertions. Typical of the psychos that call themselves feminists.
Fuuktard, so you dumb arsse said "when no survey in sight pertaining to the US breaks so much as an even 20%"?
"Unlike Ted, many Americans meet their spouses at work. That phenomenon only took off around 1960, when women entered the labor force in larger numbers. About 10% of Americans who found spouses between 2005 and 2009 met at the office or through co-workers, according to Dr. Rosenfeld—down from around 20% in 1990."
crackhaus: Obviously, all this wasn't clear enough to the writer...he/she had to go further to imply from his/her own interpretations just to arrive at a discriminatory conclusion.
How can anyone say there's no known case where the Nigerian constitution challenges/criminalizes human rights violation on women? Seriously?
So who and what is being referred to here? Section 17 (2a): every citizen shall have equality of rights, obligations and opportunities before the law.
Does every citizen include man and animals, but not women?
Also, how can the constitution which is made for one and all be prohibiting discrimination in the public sphere/state agents, and not cater for discrimination perpetrated by non-state actors when in fact both state agents and non-state actors are all citizens?
Isn't it common sense that a marriage is contracted on the premise that the woman marries into the family and/or in this case, country of the man?
It is also wrong to imply that a woman is INCAPABLE of conferring citizenship on her foreign husband. The solution to this has been covered here if the foreign husband wishes to be a citizen:
26 (1): Subject to the provisions of section 28 of this Constitution, a person to whom the provisions of this section apply may be registered as a citizen of Nigeria, if the President is satisfied that -
(a) he is a person of good character;
(b) he has shown a clear intention of his desire to be domiciled in Nigeria; and
(c) he has taken the Oath of Allegiance prescribed in the Seventh Schedule to this Constitution.
Pay close attention to the underlined clause. Because it is assumed that a woman naturally marries into the country of her husband, citizenship is subsequently granted to a foreign national married to a Nigerian woman if he has the intention of being domiciled in Nigeria.
What a profoundly moronic statement!
And also profoundly moronic for Njokusboy to say "Bravo".
crackhaus, did you actually think you were making sense when you decided to give this moronic "insight"?
So you think saying a "woman marries into the family of a man" as a premise of making laws is not sexist discrimination?
You even foolishly called it "common sense"?
So of you actually love to assert that the stupidity you have learnt/been taught is actually pure brilliance because many of you accepted it?
What kind of moronic common sense do they teach in this fcked up failed education system we have in Nigeria for fck sake?
highmood: I think its high time the igbos review those traditional title especially Eze ndi igbo away from the southeast region and its environs. Many igbos who have not traveled home for long, who may not have really understood fully the traditions of igbos. Who may have been banned from their home town in igbo land for one wicked act or the other or who may, for thier selfish and political interests parade themselves as eze ndi igbo should be disallowed though politely. As an igbo man, I haven't heard of Oba of the Yorubas in Onitsha or Emir of the Hausas in Owerri. So why only the Igbos. We should hold our tradition to high esteem. Eze ndi igbos should be limited to the southeast regions. Moreover most towns from the igbo land have their Ezes in thier hometowns and thier union committee representing them in any part of the country they are. Igbos also have their mother union that could also represent them better so this eze ndi igbo in other part of the country is needless.
kingzizzy: I may not be based in Akure, but as far as I'm concerned as an Igbo man, the constitution is greater than the Deji. The constitution grants me the right to treat Akure as if it was Enugu. In other words, I can elect an 'Eze' and conduct any cultural event I want. The Deji is only a Monarch in his palace. Outside his Palace, he is just another Nigerian. I'm not bound by any law to respect him. So I encourage my fellow Igbos to forget about that Yoruba king and enjoy the freedom accorded to them by the constitution to conduct the traditional affairs anywhere in Nigeria
You are a cretinous fuuktard!
You are not only a potential candidate for flogging, you seem suitable for human sacrifice.
PHIPEX: While I agree that traditional stool has to be revered, it's absolutely immature for the Oba of Akure to issue this kind of condition aimed not to restore peace but to humiliate. If the Nigeria state folds its hand and allow this to take root let it be known that the ripple effect can transcend beyond the Southwest. The traditional authority across the geopolitical zone has no absolute power to close down the economic activity of lawful citizens of this country as long as the constitution remains.
It's easy to see it as a victory for the Oba but it could turn out to be a case of pennywise and pound foolish. There are better ways to restore peace and sanity in Akure rather than act like an absolute dictator. This can be viewed like a perfect case of inferiority complex, why should an Oba feel threatened because another dressed like a king? Will Queen Elizabeth feel threatened if another man dresses like a king in London.
This is not a case on inferiority complex. It is a case of pure stupidity.
You would have made more sense if you labelled it superiority complex.
No fooool should go to another established Kingdom and then try to form his own Kingdom in it and then wonder why there is any repercussion.
I don tire for this country i swear!. too much hate, too much tribalism.
I thought the eze-ndigbo guy has already apologized? Why not show some mercy and let him be after some serious caution and probably Fine! This one is unnecessary show of power![/size]
How can we claim "one Nigeria" when an Oba is Hindering other Nigerians (ibos) from trading within a Nigeria state due to their tribal affiliations? Of course, the culture of the Home state should be respected and honored but traders should not be asked to close shops as long as they are up to date on their rent, tax and levies.
As much as I agree with most and the spirit of your post, unfortunately the traders cannot disassociate from this issue.
1) They elected the new "King".
2) They were reported to have joined him in going to the front of the Deji's palace to protest.
