Praise GOD. It's a Miracle

The General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, recently gave a word of advice to ladies that did prostitution before they have their life to life to Christ.

According to the video posted on his official Facebook page, the clergy man was talking about things that hinders christians from praising God and he made mention of remembering one's negative past. He said that a lady who did prostitution before is no longer a prostitute in as much she is now born again christian.

He then said that even if her customers pass by she should not greet them. This is because greeting them might trigger a reflection of her past life so she need to avoid such persons till she's totally saved and redeem to God.

Also, he said that if her customers try to identify how as a prostitute she should tell them that the one they know before is dead that she's a new creation now.

In conclusion, The clergy man is trying to pass a message to his congregation that every negative past life should be left behind and not be allowed to hinder one's praise and service to GOD.
Funny but there's a message in the sermon.

Bro, women reject men's advances everyday and men take it in stride.

I rejected the Uyai girl and she's been ranting. I have several of them on Facebook who wage campaign of calumny, stalking me in comments section because I ignored them.

Plus the Uyai female is overweight, a notorious flirt, and jumps from men to men, even on Facebook. I rejected her there and reject her here too.

Don't put women on a pedestal. Treat them like they treat us - be picky. smiley

I don't want her. Why can't women deal with rejection? I just checked right on this thread and she's been rude to a guy who made advances at her.

I don't need more women or female friends. The ones on Facebook (including the unanswered messages) are enough.

And since I have hindsight of who she is, I avoided her. She's a flirt. Guys in the Sports Section have taken their go at her.

She has no value to me since I won't be intimate or her rubbing off on me well professionally.

I don't want her. Simple!
Seriously?

Lewisjohnson:
A Nigerian man identified as Emma Ezeuko, has been killed by suspected gunmen in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

It was gathered that Ezeuko was shot dead on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, five days after his birthday.

The deceased hailed from Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of filing this report, however, it was gathered that four passengers travelling in a taxi were shot dead by gunmen the same day at Port Shepstone in Durban.
It is alleged that the unknown gunmen approached the taxi and opened fire on the occupants.

Four of the occupants died as a result of the shooting, whilst a further four were transported to hospital with gunshot wounds.

The motive for the shooting is unknown and is subject to a police investigation. Detectives are investigating four counts of murder and four of attempted murder.

It's not clear if the Nigerian national was among the four passengers killed during the shooting.
Meanwhile, friends have taken to Facebook to mourn him.

One Stephen Obinna Aneke, wrote: “I can't believe that Emma T Ezeuko is dead, you just celebrated your birthday only 5days ago and now your precious life was cut shot by hoodlums with guns in Durban south Africa. I remember the last time you visited me and was very passionate about life and the good things it brought and hoping for a more better future. Rest in peace my friend until we meet again and may your killers never go unpunished."

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: The Tech Craze: A Bubble, Not A Solution For Unemployment In Nigeria. by sageb: 2:04pm On Jul 29, 2023
cbaba:
While it is true that the tech industry may not be a panacea for all unemployment challenges in developing economies like Nigeria, arguing that it is merely a bubble and not a long-term solution oversimplifies the significant impact technology can have on job creation and economic growth. There are several reasons why the tech industry should be seen as a crucial player in addressing unemployment challenges:

1. Job Creation and Skills Development: The tech industry is known for creating a wide range of job opportunities, not just limited to highly specialized roles. It encompasses various fields, including software development, digital marketing, customer support, and data analysis, which can cater to individuals with diverse skill sets and educational backgrounds.

2. Ecosystem Development: The growth of the tech industry can stimulate the development of a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem. As startups and tech companies flourish, they create a demand for ancillary services, leading to job opportunities in areas like logistics, marketing, legal, and finance.

3. Global Reach and Remote Work: The digital nature of the tech industry allows for remote work opportunities, enabling individuals from remote areas to access jobs and tap into the global market. This can significantly reduce geographic constraints and create employment prospects for people outside major urban centers.

4. Technological Advancements: As technology continues to evolve, it brings about innovations and efficiencies in various sectors. Embracing tech-driven solutions can revitalize traditional industries and improve productivity, leading to potential job growth.

5. Economic Diversification: Relying on the tech industry can diversify a nation's economy, reducing dependence on a few sectors and providing resilience against economic downturns. A robust tech sector can attract foreign investments and stimulate economic growth in other related industries.

6. Social Impact and Inclusion: Tech solutions can address societal challenges, such as healthcare, education, and financial inclusion, thus creating employment opportunities while serving the broader community.

7. Leapfrogging Development: Developing economies can leapfrog stages of development by embracing technology. The adoption of mobile banking and digital payment solutions, for example, can provide access to financial services for previously unbanked populations and create jobs in the financial technology sector.

In conclusion, while the tech industry is not a standalone solution, dismissing it as a mere bubble undermines its potential to catalyze economic growth, create jobs, and drive positive change in developing economies like Nigeria. Embracing technology and cultivating a supportive ecosystem can complement other measures to tackle unemployment challenges and contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive future. A balanced approach that leverages the advantages of technology while addressing its limitations can pave the way for transformative opportunities in developing economies.
Good analysis

Please, name one area of human capital endeavor that isn't 'saturated'. Name just one.

Even Crime is fully saturated! Terrorism, same thing.

Yet, people who know what they are doing will keep succeeding online and offline.

I hate it when you people demonize everything and discourage everyone... Till date, people are still succeeding in the demonized Cryptocurrency world.

Tech will never favor everyone, no matter how they join the bandwagon... Those who are truly called to it will always rise above the crowd.

Same thing goes for Carpentry, Tailoring, Car wash, Farming, etc.
You nailed it

I saw this “japa” thread on the frontpage and thought it would be good to say one or two things and especially give an update on my previous thread;

https://www.nairaland.com/6597531/advise-me-relocation-plan-money

So, after making researches, i opted to go through the study route to Europe - applied and got admitted into a school and did the necessary to get an appointment to submit for my visa.

It was hard to get an appointment to submit for my visa application to Poland and with the frustration, i opted to go through the United Kingdom which i got my visa and resident permit. where i then applied for the visa and got it.

Now here’s my experience thus far; nothing has made me happier than settling here. And even though the journey was tough, i scaled through and live an even more affordable and peaceful life here than in the United Kingdom. Talk less of Nigeria..

Accommodation is affordably cheap just like food and life overall is just amazing. when i moved in here, almost everyday goes by with me wondering why i did not relocate long before now.

So if you have such plan but feel discouraged, brace up and work hard towards it. life is not terrible as many people (with no experience abroad) tell you.

Just be sure to have a good skill that pays, make proper research and prepare rightly before relocating.
Congratulations
