kaze4blues: The fact that electricity is still epileptic in your area doesn't mean its the same generally.

We are still developing, but with time we will surely get there.

I will still say things have gotten better interms of electricity supply atleast in this part of the country.

Chinom: Why should a bottle of Heineken cost between Euro 1.50 and Euro 1.75 in Nigeria, while you can get one big bottle for less than Euro 1 in many parts of Europe and the USA. Ok, i know you cannot buy crates from most Nigeria shops, but still, i think the price is way too high.

Why can't they sell it for between N220 and N250 like Star and Gulder. Why N350?. Please lodge your protest here. Heineken should sell for the same price as Star Lager beer..Chikena.

naiko: i had a similar experience some years back,where i supervised 31 people in a team.i was brought in mid way into a project.you need to see the attitudes but with God i was able to complete the project with them.one of my tactics then was to accord them maximum respect,when i have to take decisions base on the job i give them the opportunity to make suggestions why i remind them that every decisions from 'them' will be final,i ran an open regime while gave the chance to work with less supervision.

ab1x: Online application is a total rubbish. Companies only display job vacant online just for displaying sake so as to make it look like they are performing their social responsibilities. It is all a crap really.

Joey82: there are hardly any jobs u can get by submitting hard copies these days.
i'm working for the third company in 5yrs and i got all the jobs by applying online.
keep submitting hard copies until one day u'll buy akara and it will be tied with ur cv back to u.
Most jobs u'll get on merit will be through online app.

manny4life: The way some of you drum the beauty of entrepreneurship as the only secured venture is ridiculous. Haven't you seen cases of big business men that woke up to find that they have lost every thing? If you have the ideas to start your own business, fine go ahead and allow those who want to work their way to the top to be.

That was how many deceived themselves back then in school that they don't need the certificate, they will start up their own busineess.

I have looked around and am yet to find them as captins of industries.
In conclusion, define your vision and the route to acheiving it, and follow it squarely. Mine is to rise to be a ceo of multinational coy one day and am it.

There's no job security even if you worked in the Oil, nufacturing, Retail, Entertainment or Hospitality industry. The ONLY security you can have is "ENTREPRENEURSHIP".

chucky234: Never had to job hunt as I never really liked working for salaries,back in school I was running some businesses.
I did went for an interview at Nigerian breweries PLC but they did never offered any of us job as the ogas fixed their relatives in the ten advertised positions after wasting our time and brain on a written interview conducted inside the company's Iganmu office in Lagos.
After that I never bothered about applying for job as I gathered my business skils and set on a journey,I was already familiar with the business scene because in my final year in 2004 I was selling puppies online for some pet companies in the US and was receiving between $300 to $500 weekly as commissions paid via western union.
2005 I started working as a commodity broker online and made great contacts some of which include top rice companies in Thailand,India and Pakistan,Sure King Petroleum Corporation in China,Agro companies in India as well as cement companies,made cool cash but lost them when I ventured into Bonny Light Crude Oil brokerage.
Its was hell for me as the BLCO thing is saturated with fake people,I have since been importing BB,iphones,laptops from the US to pass time.

yommy2sure: One thing iv observed in some folks is wht i call a negative mentality...yes its a fact that nepotism exist in most establishments but there r still testimonies of ppl that got employed without knowing anyone...yes there r firms out there that r looking for brilliant people with the right work ethic not caring who their parents are...so pls stop thinking it is impossible for you to get a job without knowing someone....improve ur knowlege, get better and remain positive...i wish us all the best in the search
