We don't even have a national plan on industrialization. I agree with higher duties for yacht, SUV and the real luxury items. However it is just plain stupidity to increase duties on consumables at this time except the govt wants to increase the suffering of Nigerians. Who told those idiots that the few local alternatives can meet demand and competitive cost? Do you know that made in Nigeria products are much more expensive than imported items? The govt needs to do the first thing first, fix power and other infrastructures and everything will start fall into place instead of increasing the hardship in the guise of supporting local production. We can follow Chinese model, China had a 10 year industrial plan, they started with rebuilding their infrastructure from scratch, invested in science and technology simultaneously and at the end of their 10 year road map, they had all it takes to become self sufficient then the next 10 year plan was to become an export hub and today we have seen it all. Top class infrastructures, science and technology is what would spur local production not tariff hikes. |
The only difference btw masturbation and real sex is that in masturbation, you have both the pe***s and vag****a, while in real sex, you only have one while your partner donates the other for usage. Now the real danger of masturbation is addiction. Because both the P and the V are in your hands, you can do it anytime you want, no restrictions and before you know it, you become addicted. In real sex, you will have to persuade the other person to do it therefore the chances over doing it is less. Even married people don't even have sex everyday even if they want to because of issues here and there. But if for any reason you start having sex too much like masturbators do, then the effect of it will be similar to a mastorbator. The keyword here is excess. Too much of everything is bad. real sex, food, water, drugs etc Therefore controlled masturbation is not bad but the problem is it is difficult to control since only you have the P and V hence the chances of addiction is high. |
Corrinthians:Hahaha. So we now have iPod zombies and Buhari zombies? Una no go kill me for this country. lol |
What does still whole thing suggest? Ban open grazing and let the Fulani's own and manage ranches. This is 21st century for goodness sake The needless deaths that is associated with this grazing is uncountable. How many more people will die before Nigeria gets just one thing right? Cow business is a big business and should be treated as such. I don't know what is difficult in banning open grazing nationwide. |
No mention of the rampaging Fulani herdsmen and southern Kaduna massacre? Or is it not an issue to him? PMB don't prove my suspicions right. This would have been an opportunity to make a specific statement in the issue. |
Judging by Nigerian standard, I will join others to give it to Ambode. However, if it's about the real quality which means what governance should be then all our 36 governors are waste of sperm. Unfortunately our standard here is just too low when compared to the rest if the world and that is question is asked in the first place. The question should be: which governor is the most useless? |
okochaik:Bros, that is what it looks like on the surface but that is not the case. The Chinese companies will not come here cos the production cost will be higher here and remember they don't produce only for Nigeria so they will lose. Every business is out to make profit and the question is why is China the world manufacturing capital? It is because cost of producing in China is cheaper than Europe or America. Why? because the have the infrastructures and labor cost is low unlike America and Europe who have the infrastructure but high labor cost. In Nigeria our labor cost is low but our infrastructures is non existent. Once we fix our infrastructures that is 24/7 power, road, rail and water transport coupled with our already low labor cost and high population plus sound economic policy, our manufacturing cost will be low and I bet you we will start seeing influx of companies using here as their production base. As China prospers, their labor cost will continue to rise as their people demand for better wages to raise their living standards to rival that of the western countries. what it means is that at some point, the cost advantage China has over the western countries will diminish and companies will start looking for the next cheap country to manufacture. Right now, Vietnam is working seriously on their infrastructures and will likely become the next China in terms of commerce. Nigeria should have been the next China but you and I know that our leaders are empty head without any plan for the country. |
Gerrard59:I understand your plight cos I have been there. Manufacturing in this country no be moi moi. What this stupid policy will do is increase the hardship x2. They should do the right things first and importation would even die a natural death. As a person, having tasted the bitter pills of manufacturing in this country, I can't put my 1kobo cos it is a risk and I may not break even cos the products will be expensive. Our govt should stop playing to the gallery, there is no short cut to end importation in this country. Fix power n other infrastructures then every other thing will fall in place. |
You cannot spur local production without tackling the root cause of lack of production in this country. The cost of producing a pin in Nigeria is 10 times that of China and that is why import is favorable for the masses at the moment. The govt should first of all solve the power problem. You don't expect companies to produce using diesel and prices of local goods not be expensive. The key to unlock our local production capacity is solving our power problems and rail transport system and not this stupid tariff increases, it will only increase hardship to Nigerians. |
obembet:Keep quiet. for what? That Shekau has been captured? or the remaining chibok girls have been rescued? or the war is over? It is people like you in power that has turned our once dared army into political outfit to the extent that they are now celebrating for capturing Quran and flag as if it is only one that is available to Shekau. To you guys, it's about APC and PDP instead of about getting the job done. In fact a professional army that is devoid of politics should be nursing the possibilities of boko relocating to other forests to establish their base instead of disturbing us with mere flag and Quran. I wish the army would just forget dancing to political tunes and fight this war like professionals. |
Present Shekau Quran to the president? what for? The Army should stop this eye service and propaganda victory and ensure real victory. Taking over Sambisa while commendable should not be the basis to declare victory yet. Has it occurred to them that It is possible for Boko to establish another base since the concentration from the army lately has been on Sambisa? Where is Shekau? where are the remaining chibok girls? Until the army dump politics and do their job professionally, I doubt if boko can end otherwise what concerns Quran with the president if not stupid politics. |
See Naija see statistics . mstchwww Naija unemployment rate is not known. it is worse than the figures they are throwing up and down. |
Stupid idiots. Anyway, do I really blame them? when the president who should set the stage for eliminating fraud in the budget is the one budgeting billions for their poo poo and billions for Ask Rock rent, then these idiots will learn from it cos all the always copy are bad examples. Naija matter don tire me sef. they can all go to hell. |
PMB should henceforth stop the fight against corruption. There is no moral justification for him to arrest anyone for corruption. He is the chief corrupt officer. Nonsense. |
policy12:The corruption that is fighting back is the corruption in the president's kitchen cabinet. Naija matter don tire me sef. |
If DSS can lie against Magu, then it is also possible that they lied against the judges and any other case they were involved in. This govt should get it's act together. They are making it difficult to even give them the benefit of doubt. Too bad |
executive corruption Vs. legislative corruption, who wins? |
The first integrity test for PMB was to publicly declare his assets as promised before the election but he failed. They should stop disturbing us this type of news, they are insincere bunch of idiots. |
So they are going dictate our foreign policy? We accuse America of dictating for countries and here we are going to fall into the arms of another dictator because of Loan. Anyway, a berger has no choice. Sorry , Naija |
emmasege:You are right but remember that whatever concerns the east is interpreted with sentiments all over Nigeria. If Fayose was an easterner opposing PMB the way he is doing, he will not have been seen as an individual opposing the govt but would have been seen as hatred the entire east has for PMB. In fact, the interpretation would have been different and even your humble self would likely be one of the people who will say the east hates PMB and they want him to fail. I think it is better for the east to leave the opposition for others to do because if they go critical like others, it will be viewed differently even if it is the opinion of one man. |
what is his food budget? |
How many more people must die before this type of grazing is banned in Nigeria? |
Fairgodwin:Before nko, this one will be swept under the rug. Did you just get your Naija citizenship? Lol |
This is not a smart move for the North in the long run. The Niger delta nonsense would be a child's play compared to the one that would happen there. In fact, this would give ISIS and their Boko partners another template to fund their caliphate dreams. A template already in use in Northern Iraq and Syria. Islamic insurgency + oil = ? |
Yet idiots will come in here and make it look like PMB is interested in fighting corruption. At the end of the day, Saraki will stand side by side with PMB campaigning in 2019. I don't know why Nigerians are easily deceived. PMB is as corrupt as the other stupid leaders we have had in the past. He will turn a blind eye to corruption when he has something to gain. |
iluvdonjazzy:Men I tire oooo. I just can't understand what goes on in the mind of people who go out to vote in this country. Left for me, it is only Ameachi, Wike etc and their families that should go and vote, after all whoever wins will still be useless to the people, so what is the point? I can't imagine myself going out to vote for these idiots called politicians in this country. |
How has PMB drastically cut the current extravagant cost of governance? Has he cut his feeding budget from billions to millions? what bill has he sent to the NA to force a drastic cut in allowances and waste on govt at all levels? You can't just start taking loans that would affect our unborn children just yet without first doing an in-house sanitization of the system. Let us see a drastic change in cost of maintaining this govt and we can be rest assured that it wouldn't be a waste. As it stands now, there is no difference between the waste of last govt and this one. The extravagant system he inherited is still in place. |
Raziii:I gave up on PMB integrity mantra after he tactically avoided making his asset declaration public. That was the height of dishonesty or maybe he thought he wouldn't win when he was making the promise. |
GAZZUZZ:plz what do you think is the appropriate fuel consumption for a 1.8 Ltr engine, city driving and with AC in L/km? |
Chiefpriest1:That is why I don't even have a voters card . I can't see myself voting for idiots, I rather watch nollywod movies or play street football. |
coldHeat:So what do you think the should have done? Start suicide bombings in markets, public places to show their annoyance? It's a shame that Biafra issue has not been put to rest up till now. This is just a failure of leadership since the end of the civil war otherwise we shouldn't be talking about it today. At the end of the day, this whole nonsense affects everybody because the first step to achieving greatness as a nation is unity. I wish the leaders of this country will change their approach to serious national issues so that for once we will stand the chance of seeing real peace and prosperity as a nation. |
doctokwus:Bros, I just like you. Despite your support for PMB and APC, you don't fail to say the truth. I love independent minded people who stand for truth. It is people like you who should be close to PMB to make him perform by telling him the truth not these idiots who will lick his ass at all time in the name of love for one man. How would he perform if people around him only tell him what he wants to hear and not the truth? |
