Did even go to school school at all. Do you know what plagiarism means? Check both speeches and tell me that is a plagiarized speech. Then you can go ahead and call for your President's prosecution. Educated illiterate.
Some people are just irredeemable. The president has seen the error and has apologised to avoid further embrassment then you are here still defending that there is no plagiarism because PMB can do no wrong. How stupid can some of you get?
BusinessRe: 19 Facts About Dangote’s Refinery And Petrochemical Plant by Saintp(m): 8:15am On Sep 08, 2016
honeychild:
Please o, was Dangote given an exclusive license to build refineries? Why is no other Nigerian doing so? I know we have other billionaires who can afford such a project.

Please pardon my ignorance, I am genuinely curious.
Dangote is not like any other business man, he is a government himself. He is the only one who can get government to bend or alter their policies to support him. That he started building his refinery when there was no deregulation in the sector should tell you the level of confidence.
As long as Dangote has interest in that sector, it will be difficult for other guys to venture there because he would always have the government backing advantage.
On the positve side, we hope it would crash the price of fuel but dont put your trust in any business man, they target would always be to make money and more money.

Nigerian political parties APC and PDP are just an assembly for criminals whose sole aim is to win elections

PoliticsRe: Niger Delta Avengers Cease Attacks On Pipelines by Saintp(m): 8:17am On Aug 30, 2016
There is no need jubilate or antagonize others over this news because it still not show we are out of the wood yet.
The best solution is a solution that puts an end to the issue of militancy ever again which this is not about.
I am a strategic and long term person. I prefer to kill and bury a problem than to relieve the immediate pains.
The question is whether there is still a chance of this nonsense 2.,4,6,8,10 years from now? and what shape and impact it will take? I want to see a country where militancy never comes cos there is no need.
While we are temporarily out of the wood, this is the best time to take a strategic look about problems in this country and address them from the root cause even if it means a radical and fundamental change.
At the end of the day, there is nothing bettet than a peaceful and prosperous nation instead of always being at a dangerous edge all the time.

Quakertellicus1:
Yeah,, them oil price is not high like it used to be

Fact is....we are a poor nation. When oil price was high...we paid no taxes.

Remember how Sanusi Lamido Sanusi removed ATM charges? (and even his enemies hailed him). Well....back then oil was above $90 per barrel. We could afford to do that as a result.

Remember when Emefiele brought it back? Oil was on a downward trend then. We could no longer afford to stop taxing ATM cards like we used to.

When a country's main revenue earner loses cash.....you have to start raising the taxes. And every oil producer is doing it.

We cannot afford subsidy. Sorry....but it is the price we pay for relying on oil.
Our problem has never been oil price. Our main problem has been lack of leadership. Why would they keep taxing the citizens while they maintain their extravagant allowances? The president has N1.7B food budget, too many private jets, so many perks of office, senators earn too much for doing nothing other than to pad budgets.
First, the president should reduce his food budget to N100m, sell of those jets, sponsor bills that would mandate public office holders to earn like civil servants, no more jumbo allowances etc then we can talk about more tax for the citizens. We can't be funding these idiots in power.
CareerRe: Bank Workers Declare Your Assets - CBN Orders by Saintp(m): 3:37pm On Aug 12, 2016
This whole asset declaration left, right and center failed when PMB failed to keep his promise by publicly declaring his assets. If he had done that, it would have been a moral victory for anti corruption fight.

I edited my post, you may wanna review your response.

Now, what has "Fulani" got to do with anything?? If it is about appointments, let me ask, does appointing, instead of a Fulani man, an Efik, Igbo, Idoma, Kanuri, Yoruba, Ijaw, etc automatically translate into turning the tide in our economy?? When you raise issues and you bring in arguments regarding ethnicity, you just mess things up, especially on this forum.

The economy is what it is today not because of the pilots we have but because the fundamentals are in shambles!!

Cast your mind back to what it was just weeks before handover!! There was no fuel anywhere, no electricity, banks were closing by 12noon because there was no electricity. Telecoms companies were unable to sustain their activities due to issues bordering on availability of gasoline/diesel to power their generators, etc!!

All these happening when crude was still being sold @ $70pb!! Now, it is being sold at just over half that price and people expect to see miracles happen!! Brother, it isn't that simple.

When recession came calling sometime in 2006 (or thereabouts) with a crash in crude prices, Nigeria defended her currency and her economy with over $20billion. Imports was sustained and the value of the naira was hardly affected. We had over $60billion in our reserves then!

Today, we are talking about just over half that amount at the point of handover with a population increase of over 15million!! This implies that if $20billion was being used to keep the economy afloat then, we would require even more today to do same!!

Now, imagine the implication of pulling out over 20billion dollars from our current reserve about a year ago or even now, and being left with about 10-15billion in reserves!! Imagine a country that isn't credit worthy!!

Dude, these are fundamental issues that would take time to correct. People don't see these things because they are too emotional to analyse them dispassionately.

Everybody is feeling the pangs, but I foresaw this coming from day one, so did NOI herself and Sanusi. They warned that we saved for the rainy day but the admin they worked under never heeded that warning. Today, shiit has really hit the fan and everyone is pointing accusing fingers at this government. I'm afraid I won't blame her on the state of the economy- it has been a long time coming.

Ps: you still haven't suggested what you would have done differently though.
Our problem is not and has never been oil price. Our problem is just leadership. We have not heard one single person worthy to be called a leader in this country. had it been that it is possible, the best thing would have been to outsource the leadership of this country to the Asians and watch how they would transform this country even with $10 per barrel of oil.

We come from the same part of Nigeria, but I disagree with you completely.

Apart from Mko Abiola, that all Nigerians believed was going to give them succor, PMB is another person majority of reasonable Nigerians trust to lead this country aright.

It's not his fault that things are this bad. Not his fault that militants that were dead up till may 29th, 2015 suddenly came back to life.
Not his fault that price of crude old per barrel went down so drastically and same affecting a mono economy like ours.

I still believe that we can trust this man.
Judge him if he's operating under the same terrain as Jonathan did.

From 2010-2015, all Jonathan faced was Boko Haram. Whereas, Boko Haram wasn't a threat to the economy. Hence Jonathan was in a better position to fix Nigeria, if he was sincere.

PMB from May 29th 2015 to August 7, 2016, he has legions of issues
Boko Haram
Herdsmen
Militancy
Kidnapping
Falling price of crude oil
Agitation for cessation by Niger Delta
Agitation for cessation by ipob /biafra

Yet he's still managing to keep this country together. Kudos to PMB. May God strengthen him to take us to the promise land
our problem is not the fall of oil prices, it is lack of leadership. The others you listed can be all solved by quality leadership. Hand this country over to the Asian tigers or Europeans and see what they would achieve with even oil at $5 per barrel.
You people should stop boring us with oil this oil that and other bullshits, hold your leaders accountable.

We need a total solution to this madness not this nonsense. The RNDA (if they are real) and MEND appearing reasonable now could become a pain in the ass 1 year from now if situation changes.

The situation in this country provides an opportunity to solve our national problem from the foundation but like my oyibo friend will say " Africans do not have the capacity to solve even the smallest problems ".
PoliticsRe: CBN-Hajj Brouhaha: Tale Of A Country And Her Religious Bigots. by Saintp(m): 6:50pm On Aug 05, 2016
The problem with most of you is that you are more interested in defending the image of the president than actually pushing for the survival of this country.

There is no where in the world where the president is 100% loved. The kind of insults rendered to Bush and Obama by thier people is enough to shutdown the internet.
That the president approved for Christains does not make this a wise decision and it is not compulsory that it must be continued given the fact our situation has gotten worse. There were people who criticised it then and are still doing it now.
Anyway, as long you guys have decided to be partizan, it is expected that your thinking will be laced with sentiments and would remain shallow and that is why i don't take you guys serious.
If you want to be taken serious, don't allign yourself to any of these our stupid parties or politicians.
PoliticsRe: Al-Barnawi: "Kill Christians, Target Churches Not Mosque" by Saintp(m): 12:00pm On Aug 04, 2016
Islam cannot coexist with any other religion. You can only have peace where there is predominantly one Islamic sect in an area. If christains are there, they would be the target, if there is no christain to target then it shifts to Shittes.
So there can only be peace where there is over 90% Sunnis or Shittes in an area with sharia law else na constant war. Middle east is an example.

Guyman02:
This confirms what we have lonmg suspected that America, France and Britain are behind ISIS.
Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov also stated yesterday that with the level of publicity that 'Iblis State' gets in the western media he can prove that their is a collaboration between them and western special services https://www.rt.com/politics/354286-chechen-leader-dismisses-fresh-is/

If Nigeria wants to solve the Boko Haram menace it should start from US and British embassies in Abuja, they know where to locate Shekau, they used it for a political purpose (not religious) same way they used Alqaeda for regime change in Libya and its affiliate Al Nusra in Syria called 'moderate rebels' by the same complicit western media like BBC to remove Assad from power until the Russians came to Syria's rescue.
Remember also that the Russians and China were among the few countries that helped Nigeria with weapons to push back Boko Haram prior to the 2015 elections and it is the same Russian equipment that PMB inherited that is still being used today by the Nigerian to achieve the success they have made so far in the fight against BH.
US and the West blocked every means of acquiring weapons by the GEJ administration so as to frustrate the fight against BH and even when he resorted to the black market they still used South Africa to blackmail him with seized funds in a private jet meant for arms purchase, when Israel wanted to help America threatened them with sanctions.
Please Nigerians let us not spend time on this topic about who is the new Boko Haram leader from a western media, thats their usual tactic of blackmailing govts and getting its citizens to turn against it by making their leaders appear weak, PMB may not performed well on the economy but we should not let the west make BH to look invincible with this kind of media propaganda from the BBC which another version will be released by CNN, Aljazeera, Fox because they know many of us are hooked to their channels. I have even stopped watching CNN which Donald Trump just called Clinton News Network because of the bias against Africa.
Bros, go and hide your opinion under your smelly anus.
