Are you guys sure these were the real militants then? One oga at the top can smuggle thier names as militants so that they can benefit. Wetin my eye don see 4 dis country no be small thing. All the same, big congrats to them. |
This thread has been hours on front page yet it's having just few coments. Ebi like sey Naija matter don dey tire people. |
We need results on ground. Enough of theories, there is no time to even say "no time". |
For how long are we going to be held hostage by the ND? Are we not ashamed as a country that our survival depends on oil? Another group will emerge in future causing problem here n there. Why can't we solve this problem once and for all by restructuring this country so that all regions become responsible for themselves? Use force? No, innocent people will die and i am not interested in blood money cos that is what it is. I am sure we will be fine without oil so why cant there be a radical shift in this country. |
Businessideas:Haba bros. You went gaga just because femi is mentioned. You don activate defense mode sharp sharp. But wait, can you swear for femi that he is clean in all these? or you wan die? Bros, never trust any politician in this country ooo. I just can't understand why any sane Nigerian will hold brief for any politician. For me, the politician i will defend has not been born yet. i can't fall mugu for this guys. |
Cosmetics solutions would not take us anywhere. It does not stop another militant group to arise in the near future. Maybe the next militant group might even take a worse approach. It is time to solve the Nigerian question from the foundation so that we shall not be held hostage by militants again. It could be painful but this is the best gift any Nigerian leader can give us all. |
After hustling to be president for 4 consecutive elections, one would have taught that this man had a blueprint on how to rescue this country from sinking but at last he is even worse than others he replaced. Who can rescue Nigeria? |
Each time i read posts on Nairaland, i feel so ashamed especially for you all. What makes some tribes feel superior over others is what i don't understand. In the first place non of you chose the tribe you wanted God to create you to be so what is all these tribal contest all about? There is no difference in mentality among you all especially the yoruba, igbo and ijaw. You guys are just the same. But the most surprising thing is that you guys can't support the dissolution of this entity so that you all will have a perfect society since all you idiots can't live in peace like civilized people. Other nations harness thier diversity for development but all you guys do here is to hate on each other and feel you are better than others. Shame on you all. |
This is very good if real but then our hopes have been dashed several times. I can't forget the China Yuan deal that was praised to high heavens but 2da nobody is talking about it again. Now, the implications is that there shouldn't be any excuse again so even if NDA keep blowing up things, we are good to go. Let nobody come tomorrow and start dashing our hopes again else thunder that would fire his mouth will come from Jamaica. Kudos FG! |
Expert analysts in the house, where is the yuan you guys made so much noise about? Was this whole brouhaha just a lie? |
The only way Nigeria can move forward is if we outsource our leadership. From presidency to legislature, to ministers to governors to judiciary to commissioners to even LG chairmen, outsource all positions. There are many Chinese, Russians, Japanese, Koreans, Europeans, Americans, Canadians looking for job Let them just come a fill all these positions, we will give them target and pay them accordingly. If we leave these positions to Nigerians, we will remain in "voice mail". |
trademoore1:One thing you should learn in this forum is to know who to respond to and who to ignore. Don't forget the saying that "silence is the best answer given to a fool" |
I don't think wearing hijab should naturally be a problem, what i worry about is the security implications especially in this era of suicide bombings. What if these terrorists capitalize on it and use them for thier bombings? We have seen young school girls in the north hide bombs in thier hijab and bomb the shit out of people. As a person, i don't think hijab is bad but i will certainly not be comfortable staying close to someone wearing a hijab. |
Let us keep applying cosmetics to an open injury till a time when it will get to a point of no return. I don't just understand why black Africans have zero capacity to solve any problem. How many people will die before we settle this problem parmenently? |
I can't just imagine the kind of money that leave this country to UK, US, Canada etc every year in the name of education. But the problem is that I'm not seeing the impact on Nigeria. I expected that these guys will come back and make some impact but you don't hear of them after all these show except when they get into politics later to continue the looting from where there parents stopped. Of what use is having children of our political and elite class going to the best schools abroad yet the country. remains f***ked up? Education without application is just a waste of resources. |
InvertedHammer:Thank you bros. This is why i don't have a PVC. I rather stay in my house, watch nollywood movies or playing football than go and vote for idiots. Sadly, in 2019 another set of idiots would come out again and take us into worse situation. I think it is better to outsource our leadership positions to foreigners, give them targets and pay them. |
NextGovernor:The strategy of our politicians is simple. Improvish thier people, make themselves a "god", brainwash them and use them for thier selfish political battles. If these women were properly engaged, would they allow themselves to be used? |
But wait a minute. Do people still have appetite to vote after the scam of 2015? Are you saying people will go out and vote for these fools instead of watching movies on that day? Nigerians are really tough people |

This is what you get when you offer yourself cheaply to be insulted. You don't have to blame BBC, if our stupid leaders had any sense of shame, this kind of question wouldn't have arisen. |
x240:You are hell bent on defending your suicide terrorist brothers. I will not respond to you again before you get annoyed and detonate the suicide belt on your waste. I don't want to hear another breaking news, let's. mourn the ones your faithful brothers have killed already. |
Too bad. At the end, PMB is no different from other stupid leaders. When shall we ever get sincere leadership in this country? |
x240:You that is not an olodo and see beyond the surface, can you tell your Islamic brothers to embrace peace and stop murdering innocent people all over the world. They should forgive and forget whatever wrong that may have been done to them or is forgiveness not in the Islamic book? It is only in secret cults that forgiveness is a sin. How many more innocent people will die before the stop avenging whatever they are avenging. Japan was nuked yet they Japanese citizens did not become terrorists because of that. Ukraine is in turmoil yet thier citizens have not turned terrorists. I beg you people, please attack the white house or CIA office if you wish and let innocent people be. It is for your own good else there will be serious profiling of muslims in future. |
ollah1:What of the Islamic terrorist attacks in Kenya, Tanzania, Mali etc. Is it still Bush and Blair? The islamic blood sucking demons just capitalized on the stupidity of Bush and Blair. This is what they know how to do best. They are planning other attacks somewhere else as we speak. no one knows where n when they will strike. You guys should come out, carry placards, burn the effigies of ISIS and other groups because they claim they are fighting for you all and it's. true cos you guys are indirectly suppoting them with your comments, so you all are the same. |
ollah1:So because Bush and Blair invaded Iraq, there would no longer be peace again? You think Islamic terrorism started after Iraqi invasion? Why is Boko Haram killing people here, did America invade the North? Keep giving backing to terrorist hiding under American stupidity, One day, the west will bar all you muslims from entering their country, don't cry foul. |
AuroraB:Lol, you no wan Islamic peace. I no blame you joor. the guy may be wearing a suicide belt under and shouting peace. U know thier way naa. Peace by mouth, bomb by hand. |
x240:Keep justifying terrorism yet muslims are still queing up to live and work in these "filthy" countries even getting citzenship, is that not hypocrisy? A time will come when muslims will be barred from entering planes, trains, public schools, public transportation, stadium etc. You people should continue this madness and be justifying it. I only blame these liberal European leaders. This is where i trust China and Russia. |
bewla:Islam has killed more people than ebola, hiv, etc combined. The question is where and when is the next attack? |
A time will come when all muslims will be banned from public places, this is getting too much. Each time i enter flights in Europe now and identity a muslim, my heart beats faster than normal and i will just be praying till we land safely. The unfortunate thing is that the moderate muslims of today will be the terrorist of tomorrow. Too bad |
The way you guys fall over yourselves to defend and adore these idiots called politicians, i just want to ask, is there actually more to this? Do you guys know these politicians on one on one basis? |
They are 2 parallel lines. Dangote being a greedy hardcore capitalist will even make Nigeria worse. He is leveraging on the chaos in the country to make his billions. Will a president Dangote work to improve the system that would spur growth and usher in competition to his own businesses? Except he will be no longer interested in holding unto his monopoly. Will President Dangote encourage other to build refineries that would challenge his own? how would he then climbing higher to become World's richest man one day. Do you think he is stupid romancing every govt in power? If it were in reasonable countries where there are solid independent institutions that checkmate excesses no matter who is involved, then it would have made sense but for naija where one man hijacks EFCC, judiciary, Legislator, Police, Army, CBN etc, it is a no no. |
