Typical Africans, excuses everywhere. even when they manage to get things right, they would not be able to sustain it, always looking for where to put the blame for thier incompetence.

Provide light for your people shut up. In my world, we don't listen to excuses.

Akwukwuegbu is wonderful. This is a man from the same clan with T.A.Orji and yet opposes everything while Ochendo was in office. He detests the former governor like poo.Ironically,3 of his children were in d cabinet of the former governor and are still involved with The State hierarchy. This kind of men are rare to find.
The Ogah/Ikpeazu impasse will test the veracity of the Courts. We all saw what happened to Messi and tax evasion,we should be more serious in this Country.
I think the law should be applied with common sense. The judge and Inec seem nt to have applied common sense. This looming anarchy and confusion would have been averted if the governor was allowed to exhaust his appeals before issuing a certificate of return to ogah. if Alex Otti was sworn in when he was declared winner by the appeal court and supreme court upturned it, would it have made sense?
I don't even know why the rush, if ogah is sure of his seat, why not exercise patience for the supreme court to rule after all his tenure starts from when he is sworn in.
The courts should stop creating unnecessary confusion. This was suppose to be a simple case bt it has now been turned to confusion.

they have genuine grieviances, I am igbo too. And similar to you, I have no belief in biafra because I feel sentiments has beclouded reason in that struggle. The brits had reasons they felt were genuine for the brexit, yet most of the consequences you see today were very clear from the onset, yet they didn't see it due to their egoistic sentiments on matters relating to imigration.

The EU has stated that no access to the free market if they won't allow free passage, thus if britian loses the free market , economically they will have to look overseas for business in an already chinese concnetrated markket. Yet if they succumb to the EU, then they return to square one. Thus why the brexit.

The point is that such a noble act of seccesion could be counterproductive if not based on sound unbiased judgement and people choices. The biafrans have a good cause, have they discussed life after biafra is acheived ? The answer is likely NO. Have they discussed any pertinent issues to nation building ? NO. Even many in the regions don't understand the merits or demerits of the seccesion and yet biafra is being agittated. To prevent room for regrets like the brexit. They must plan first, strategise second, model thirdly and lastly agitate
You can't be igbo and you are calling your people " igbo leeches" except you hate them so much.
The biafran issue is still lingering because we have not real and quality leadership over the years. It is because we are treating it as a non issue. If we discuss it properly and lay the cards on the table, there are chances that many people who support the idea will have a rethink. Like you said, the promoters have not done thier homework but remember there is absolutely nothing wrong in seeking to be independent.

list those things you have in comparative advantage to survive. Agriculture? technology ? Oil ? Trade? Love amongst all tribes in biafra ? Please tell me the political structure of the biafran government. Would it be a federal like one? What states have indicated via a referndum to be part of the union. What are the economic plans as no nation is an island, talkmore of one with no access to the sea and undeveloped inland water ways that will criss cross another country called the SS. And yes, the SS have no business with igbo leeches
You made some very valid points but like most Nigerians you couldn't resist the lure of tribalism into it. There is no need taking a swipe at biafran seccesionists. Life is all about choices, it could turn out good or bad like we have seen in the case of south Sudan. So what you are saying is true but it is not a basis to maintain status quo. In our own case, it would. have been great to talk to one another and agree on the terms of our unity in order to entrench justice, equity and fairplay. The UK has made a choice and whether it is the right or wrong one will show up with time but one thing i like about them is thier ability to challenge the status quo.

I have learnt not to take Nigerians anti corruption mantra seriously because they look at faces. You can see the energy and passion some people condemn saraki. If Sarakis name is changed with some other name even if it is the same offence, you will see those people defending instead of condeming.

The only people i appreciate thier anti corruption stance are people who don't align with any political party or individual. Those are the people who are sincere others just protect thier own thief and condemn other thieves.

Okay, are you saying that every state will remit 42% to FG for whatever the make? and not FG sharing money to states? If so, then it is a right step. however, 42% seems much, it should have been say 35%. Responsibility for development should be localized, let the president focus on foreign policy, immigration and defense at least.

PoliticsRe: Should Saraki Resign Over Forgery And False Asset Declaration Cases? by Saintp(m): 4:44pm On Jun 29, 2016
Saraki is a confirmed thief and it did not just start in 2015. He has been a thief far back yet he contested under APC and was voted into power. Can APC leaders and the electorate that voted him swear that they didn't know saraki is a thief?
Anyway, in a sane society, saraki shouldn't even be a local govt chairman not to talk of being a senator.
Since we are not in a sane society, why should he resign?
In a sane society, will the president hire SANs to defend his certificate case instead of just presenting it and clearing all doubt?
Infact both should just resign immediately, fraudulent leaders.

Who among the Nigerian political and military leaders we admire, perhaps excluding PMB, can justify his wealth if we're to measure it relative to his salary? Who? Tinubu? Atiku? Kwankwaso? Fashola? Ameachi? Dambazau? Name it! We only use those that are relatively honest. Buratai is certainly a saint compared to his contemporaries in the military. Except if we want the president to get angels from heaven, he has to manage the relatively honest Nigerians.
Plz don't exclude PMB, he is one of them. I fell for this honesty talk about him but he is a disappointment. Trust and integrity is earned, it is not by mouth. If he was honest like Yaradua, he wouldn't have found it difficult to properly declare his assets after all he made the promise. If he was honest, he wouldn't have hired SANs to defend his certificate case.
PMB had the goodwill and everything to show he is honest and different from others but he he showed the opposite.
So don't put Honesty and PMB in one sentence.

Very serious non sense. They are fighting over their selfish greedy minds. Sadly Nigerians don't really see
Nigerians are yet to realize that PMB,saraki, unity forum senators, like mind senators, PDP, APC are fighting thier own personal political battles. It has nothing to do with the interest of nigerians or democracy. It is a shame that our quest for getting sincere and quality leadership is not going to come for a very long time. 1 yr gone 24 months remaing and yet the corrupt executive and legislative are still fooling themselves.

A begger has no choice. Since the rest of Nigerians have refused to leave oil and chart thier own course, we should accept whatever insult we get from the ND in good faith.
I can't we keep getting insults from the ND because of oil. Japan and South Korea do not have oil, so many countries don't have oil, yet they are doing well but my country wants to die because of oil.
Only if we have had a real leader since 1999, there wouldn't have been NDA in the first place because it would have been irrelevant not to talk of receiving insults every year cos of oil.
Give ND back thier oil, i am ashamed and tired of these insults, i don't know about u.

All members of d committees were indigenes. Plss go to secondary school bfor u start commenting on issues like this
My question to you is that are you enjoying Nigeria the way it is today? I love a united Nigeria but not at the expense of unity, love and fair play. Every year, we keep getting distracted with agitations here and there without an end in sight. If the British who created Nigeria in the 1st place was ready for disintegration in thier domain what excuse do we have to spill blood because of one Nigeria.
what we have lacked since independence is quality leadership like what is obtained among the whites otherwise we shouldn't still be talking about Biafra decades after the civil war. Nobody is talking about Scottish independence again, that issue has been resolved at least for a long time to come
Can a black nation resolve thier internal issues peaceful? i don't think so.

To all igbos out there i want u to know we all yoruba are not against ur biafra dreams and also want u'll to knw that not even all igbos are supporting it.Tgif!!!!!
Thank you very much. Not all igbos support secession. If Nigeria was UK, it will just be a matter of organizing a referendum, telling them what they stand to gain and lose if they seceed and allow them to make their choice. I bet when the facts are laid bare, some of them will have a rethink and vote to stay. The idea of always shutting down secession is wrong, it is doing the country more harm. I was in Edinburgh shortly before Scottish referendum and judging by the rhetorics, i thought Scotland is gone. Some of my friends who were campaigning to leave later voted not to leave. Reason? One told me he was no longer convinced about the whole thing. But if UK decided to use force, people like that will be convinced to leave.
Come to think of it, it doesn't cost a nuclear armed UK to quash any idea of secession then why didn't they go through that route?

My friend, bother nobody with this Biafra gospel. Didn't you see how the UK conducted themselves in the most civilized manner? Did they threatened EU with war if they don't get their referendum? Did they go about cursing everybody in Europe? Where they staging silly protests, thereby constituting themselves as nuisance? These and many more are the questions you need to ask yourself.

You have representatives in the NA, the house of reps, you have governors, state assemblies, political elites, leaders etc. These are the people that should be at the forefront of your Biafra agitation and not some silly illiterates that are only good in using a pirated radio station to curse everybody
I support a united Nigeria but saying biafra agitators are calling for war is false. Have they taken up arms against the state? Despite being shot at peaceful demonstrations. It is the duty of the leader to call for referendum in this kind of situation. If UK PM didn't call for referendum and instead sent soldiers to Edinburgh to intimidate Scottish agitators don't you think Scotland might have taken it to another dangerous confrontation? maybe there would have been unrest in the UK today.
Today, the UK issues have been resolved peaceful without soldiers involved.
Until we can resolve our issues like the UK amicably, we will all suffer both agitators and other sections of the country because there will only be genuine development when there is unity.

The good quality of our president is he accepts sound advice/argument provided you're able to convince him.

He said he was not convinced that devaluing the Naira was best for Nigeria and he has been proved right.

Imagine what would have happened to our economy if he had devalued the Naira to say N250 to a dollar. I am sure it will have shot up to N500 at the black market.

But his refusal to do that, plus non-working of the two parallel rates (official and black market), have made Emefiele and his team to put on their thinking cap to find an acceptable solution to the problem.

Salute to PMB once more.
I am very optimistic that naira will rise again with this policy and i pray it succeds. But it would do you guys a whole lot of good to spare us this early praise singing, this is just d first day.

I just hate the sound of all these news. If we don't kill our dependence on oil, just like corruption, oil would kill us.

How long are we gonna continue revolving around this circle of blackmail and renegotiation?? Given our condition, a group of five armed men with some technical knowledge about IEDs and swimming can bring this country to he knees in months.

Let this be a lesson to our government- work acidiously to diversify our economy otherwise our desire to brink down corruption to it's barest minimum level would remain a pipe dream!!

God bless Nigeria and heal her land.
Waoo!!!! You have made so much sense. However we can't really diversify if we continue this federal structure. The only way to diversify is to stop sharing revenue from oil in Abuja and the only way to do that is true federalism. This will force everybody to work out a solution of thier own to survive but unfortunately the ruling class don't want this to happen. Then backmail from ND will stop and IPOB will die a natural death cos everybody will be incharge of thier destiny.
So many countries don't have oil and they are better than us so why should we die because of oil.

Everyday is for the thief, I will be here when people will start screaming genocide and selective witch-hunting when you are finally dealt with.

For those blaming Buhari, maybe you don't know the efforts govt has made so far to negotiate with these guys. A group was invited and after negotiations and agreement, NNPC trunk lines was bombed and NDA stated boldly that the want secession.
All these ijaw groups asking for negotiations just wants to make some money out of the whole situation.
These guys don't want anything other than to disrupt govt, disrupt the EFCC cases against them. They had already stockpiled arms during the boko haram arm scandal. Their chief sponsor is already claiming to be on exile. He fortified them prior to election and they are already acting out the scripts.

Mourning endureth for a while, but joy sure cometh in the morning. NDA, we will defeat you. You can take that to the bank.
There is no winner here. Even if you crush NDA now, another deadlier group will resurface in just few years.
The only win win solution is restructure this country let every region manage thier resources.
Let the ND control thier damn oil. I am not from the ND but I'm sure that no region will suffer if oil money stop flowing. we will just sit up.
If we claim oil is becoming worthless and we can do without it, what is then difficult in changing the status quo? why are we willing to shed blood because of oil?
The time to restructure this country is now else it will consume us all one day.
