PoliticsRe: No One Can Stop Us From Grazing In The South — Fulani Herdsmen by Saintp(m): 11:02am On May 01, 2016
spiralwedge:
Stop deceiving yourself. Crime is crime.
As Nigerians they have the same freedom, just as the Igbos do all over Nigeria, to move to anywhere they so desire within Nigeria.
Not only that they deserve federal protection, as any Nigerian, anywhere they go within Nigeria.

Just as hawking is legal, so is cow-grazing. So, live and let them live. The **** rob with guns in Lagos disguising to be hawking. So it's comparable. We must deal with the 2 issues the same. And that is to let them be just as we let the **** be.

****
Excellent comment brother. No yoruba man has ever robbed with guns in traffic at least you can swear with the gods of the land. In fact they never commit any crime anywhere. Thumbs up.

Don't mind them.
When Fulanis attacked MB - They called MB people coward.
When Fulanis attacked Enugu - Enugu people ran. After Fulani herdsmen NOMADS don waka back to North, dem open mouth claim Fulanis fled.
If Abians attack their masters from the North, I pity Igbos in the North.
Instead of blowing hot air, they need to task their leaders/politicians to ban Fulani grazing in the SE. That's the best solution.
Don't just pity igbos in the north, pity anyone that is from the south who reside in the north. During crisis, the assume all southerners to be igbo and that is why other tribes die too during crisis.

Let pray for peace. anyone can be a victim. What if there were corpers serving in those villages that they struck?

We are just cowards in the south. All we are good at is ranting and shouting. We could not even defend ourselves at home and we are shouting freedom. What we fail to know is that freedom comes with a prize and we must be ready to pay. We need to rise up and defend ourselves against these monsters called herdmen or else anything is bound to happen
Everyone does not have that DNA of wasting blood. If you are given AK47 to go and start killing the fulanis, do you think you can do it? For the fact that it is easy for tge fulanis to kill at will does not mean everyone can. For all the chest beating in the east and west, they still don't have that blood letting dna in them. that is why they result to killing as the last resort.
The only group of people who might be able to match these fulanis blood for blood is the riverine niger deltans.

Everything in Nigeria currently goes to the highest bidder. From Occupy Nigeria to Occupy NASS and even this article.

This article is a disgrace to journalism, it attempts to whip up sentiments in favour of Saraki using other unrelated national incidents. I would not be surprised if the payment was calculated per word, it reeks of 'brown envelope ' journalism.

Fulani terrorists are killing Igbos with tacit support of our security agencies. I concur but how does this make Saraki less corrupt.

Fashola is an incompetent minister. His reputation was built by media propaganda when he was the governor of Lagos State. I agree but why should that stop Nigerians from demanding that Saraki resigns.

Even if Saraki does not want to resign as a Senator, he should save whatever respect the office of the Senate President has left. Saraki needs to bow out from his position and save Nigeria from further ridicule.
Thank you very much. Yes hypocrisy is the order of the day but it does not make other issues useless

People crucifying the governor, i ask, what do you want him to do? Openly support revenge? Openly arm the boys? He has done what any leader will do.

Even if he will support reprisals, will he announce it? By the way, he does not control the armed forces so he cannot give them orders to fish them out.

One good thing about PMB is that he is frank. He can't pretend. He has clearly shown he is a highly biased person so if you shout from now till tomorrow he just wont succumb and it doesn't touch him. we are in for a long poo.

See what Zombies have induced, Propagating clever lies to detract and discredit GEJ who was assiduous, proactive and working strenuously with the aid of God Almighty to transform Nigeria. But zombies brought a cessation to such auspicious administration and installed Buhari.
To hell with all these your GEJ, PMB nonsense. Do you think that in a seroius looking society, those 2 clowns will be fit for a LG chairman no to talk of being president? Ain't you guys tired of these nonsense?

Quakertellicus1:
Sigh....puts on the propaganda hat as usual

Disclaimer: This is not a defence or an attack. Just stating facts.

1.All those Nigerians complaining....what alternatives do they propose?

2.We are in this situation because since independence....our economy has been tied to the price of the resources that we sell. If the price of the resources we sell goes down, we lose revenue....and our economy goes down.

3.Right now...the price of the main resource we sell...oil is down. As a result...the high standards of living that we enjoyed (not that everyone enjoyed it)...has fallen down too.

4.Because we are so dependent on oil...we have forgotten to manufacture things. As a result....we import. When prices are high...we can import as much as we like because we have the money. When prices fall...we can no longer import....and we have to do so at higher prices.

5.Most of the critics of Buhari.....are not really attacking him. They want to sit down and continue to import things that would make them comfy. The fact that they cannot do that is what is making them angry.

6.We can get out of this mess...by spending more on power and industrial development, and less on subsidies, as well as increasing taxes...and using the money saved to develop industrial support infrastructure....which would guarantee a prosperous future. But these people do not want that solution....because it means that we would go through a period of suffering....which they really do not want.

7. Things appeared better under the last admin because we had the forex to buffer the naira, as well as the forex to import goodies. Now...we do not have that forex....and things are harder.

8. Right now....Nigerians are grumbling. But if they want the goodies to come back....that means we have to take a loan from the IMF or we deplete our savings account to keep everyone happy. At the end of the day...we would have a brief Indian summer to be followed by a 1000 year winter.

9.Nigeria's route to economic survival lies with the development of a local industrial sector dependent on raw materials from within. It does not lie in oil.....or in fooling ourselves...the way we have been for decades....with the revenues from resources. I am afraid most Buhari ciritics do not see that. They only see that there is no more free money to chop.

The era of free things is over. Time we fixed this country.

P.S- If you want free flow of fuel....you would have to deregulate. But....most anti and even pro Buhari people do not want to pay for fuel at high prices. They want cheap fuel.

Well...that is the cold reality. We do not have money. Better tighten your seatbelts. If it is any comfort...if GEJ had saved money, and told the governors to forget sharing....it would have just delayed the evil day longer.
The only leader i will respect and adore in this country is the person who will have the balls to restructure this country. For without it, we are just wasting our time. it dosent matter who is president

Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Isreal, Australia, Singapore, are doing well because they invested in science and still invest a lot of money in scientific research and development. Therefore, they know how to manufacture almost everything they need and import just few things.

They can afford to devalue their currencies, because if they do they'll export more goods to the world. On the other hand, we can't afford to devalue our own currency because we don't manufacture anything, so have nothing to export.

No, China used to be very poor before, even up to the early 80's. China was occupied by Japan and Britain, and they were constantly fighting off invaders just like Africa. China started developing when they started looking inward. When they realized that neither Japan nor the west can help them, and that only themselves can help themselves. So, they reformed their system of education and paid huge attention to science subjects which the study in their native language. The result was development.
Thank you. The truth is that neither devaluation or non devaluation will save us. If Buhari wants to forever put his name in gold then this is the time to do something different and that is structural correction. he must champion true federalism or regionalism now. Let us all go back to the drawing board and start afresh.
Let us work and develop from within so that even if oil rises and crashes 10yrs from now, we wont be holding this argument
Until the foundation of real development is laid, we will never develop, we will keep blaming IMF and WB till the next 100 yrs or even china when our deal is not showing results. But if we keep playing to the gallery, then we will continue blaming others.

We know how the IMF and world bank works, so you all shouldn't be scared.

If you investigate Bloomberg and all the so called foreign investors, you'll discover they belong to a network of companies controlled by the same IMF and world bank. So, their game is usually to make coordinated withdrawal of investments to evoke panic.

I said all these before.

Their next move would be to tighten the noose on Nigeria, until the masses go on to the street to protest against the government. Then, they'll say ''I told you so''. And they'll start funding a stooge political party to over-throw the head of state of their target prey-this time it's Nigeria, unfortunately.

They'll never rest until they worsen the economic crisis in Nigeria.

Western media (CNN, BBC, Bloomberg, Fox, CBS, e.t.c) are part of neo-colonial instruments to demarket Africa, and they're at full throttle now to demarket Nigeria. Buhari have to be strong and never show any sign of surrender, when they get the message they'll back out.

I'm disputing you actually but one question i normally ask is that why are other nations in Asia and other continents who open up to the west doing well? Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Isreal, Australia, Singapore etc but it is only in Africa that our partnership with them is worse off.
It was even when China started going western that they started blowing. Do it actually say something about Africa?

I hope so. However i know how our government behaves. Do not be surprised they were just in a hurry to sign deals with the Chinese without due diligence in order to be seen as working. It will be good if the details of the deal is made public. Citizens need to know instead of speculation. I rather be cautious than swallow everything that is speculated

OTOH, the whole China deal (total package) with the little we know from it so far will do the below (I posted this on another link earlier):

Then you need to factor-in the Chinese inputs in power plants, railways, refineries, roads, and other infrastructure that will generally overhaul and re-ginger our economy as a whole -- tilt us on the path to a trillion dollar economy!
Are you sure you are not making assumptions here? Why are you so sure the Chinese will build factories here when it will be cheaper to produce in thier country and create jobs for her citizens?

Plz i need clarification here. Before this trip, what we heard on the media was that buhari is going to seek $2billiion loan from China to finance the budget deficit. I remember the argument then was why are we borrowing if we have recovered loot and saved money from TSA.
Even Lagos Calabar rail in the budget was also mentioned as why he is going to China. There was no time that this loan story was debunked and i thought it is true.
I'm surprised to hear a contrary revelation now because this has not been mentioned before. Plz can anyone what really happened clarify me on this issue? Thanks.

I like what you said and i wish it can be so. The fall of Saraki is a win win for Nigerians. However, i wish it will be across board but the unfortunate truth is that it will never be.
What happens here is people defending thier own thief and supporting the prosecution of other thieves.
Some people are rejoicing here not because the hate corruption but because Saraki is not thier own thief. Make any mistake and touch their own thief and you will see a different reaction. Thats why i don't take Nigerian anti corruption crusaders serious.

This could be a good deal. However, we should always have it at the back of our minds that no country gives a damn about us. Like the west, the Chinese are also exploitative in thier own way. The are expanding thier influence on the back of anti west rhetoric and are positioning themselves as messiah. We should shine our eyes when dealing with these new players so that we don't jump from frying pan to fire.

The way the Chinese treat thier employees shows that they may be more rugged than the west that have shown us pepper and they are also smarter than the west. Make we apply caution ooo. i no wan hear stories tomorrow.

I want him to go down for his crime against the common man. atleast it will be good to see the number of thieves reduced by atleast 1.
However, it is true that his case is politically motivated. I am 100% sure that if he had been in the good books of the powers that be, irrespective of the evidence against him, he will not have been in court today. Anybody saying it is not politically motivated is just lying and decieving himself. But atleast, it is a win win for the common man.

Fighting corruption and jailing people cannot be an economic policy. Buhari needs to be told the hard truth and some of his advisers should begin to resign since he doesn't listen to them!
Unfortunately we don't have men of integrity who can stand on their own. They will just okay whatever the president says because they want to be in his good books even if they know its wrong. For example, NOI is a very intelligent woman bt could not stand firm against some wrong in GEJ just because she didn't want to become an enemy. Infact Nigerian advisers are useless.

From the article....it is obvious that they want us to devalue....so that forex can flow.

Buharinomics is a bad choice. The problem is...the alternatives are far worse. If we devalue now...we would end up with runaway inflation, severely depreciated naira and suddenly we would be taking high amount of loans to balance the books.

What needs to be done next is simple. We must, as I have said here time after time...become a manufacturing power. I want to see this APC government spend more on generation, and work with the DISCOS and GENCOS to repair our outdated transmission system. I want to see more spending on technical education.I want to see an end to fuel subsidy....because we are just wasting money that could be used for better things, and we do not even have the money to subsidize fuel anyways. We should improve agriculture....by encouraging large scale farming. We should encourage our local industries to stop importing raw materials if they can be sourced in Nigeria. And we must fight corruption....no compromise.

That is what APC must do to leave a glorious legacy.

Modified: Re loans....if we have to take loans...why not in the form of infrastructure?

Eg...Germany gives us a ''loan''to build a power station that runs on refuse...by building the power plant and providing training and logistics.
The problem i have with this country is that we don't have a national plan. Since GEJ was accidental president, one would have expected that PMB having contested 4 times would have a clear cut plan for this country. I don't expect things to become rossy even in 4 years but we should see a clear direction of things with timelines which we are not seeing now.

Things are getting from bad to worse. Up till now, no one knows the exact cause of this prolonged fuel scarcity. As for forex, it's just about 2 bad choices with negative consequences, i don't think I'll blame him on that.

Other sectors are fast going down and he seems not to understand the gravity of issues otherwise he would have been adressing the people on the state of the nation frequently at least to give hope and confidence to the people.
