He Looked Beyond My Faults Amazing Grace..Will always be my song of praise. For it was grace, that brought me liberty, I do not know, just why He came to love me so. He looked beyond my faults and saw my need. I shall forever lift mine eyes to Calvary, To view the cross, where Jesus died for me How marvelous, His grace that caught my falling soul He Looked beyond my faults and saw my need. (Instrumental) I shall forever lift mine eyes to Calvary, To view the cross, where Jesus died for me How marvelous, His grace that caught my falling soul He Looked beyond my faults and saw my needs, He Looked beyond my faults and saw my needs. |
May those coming behind us find us faithful We're pilgrims on the journey Of the narrow road And those who've gone before us line the way Cheering on the faithful, encouraging the weary Their lives a stirring testament to God's sustaining grace Surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses Let us run the race not only for the prize But as those who've gone before us Let us leave to those behind us The heritage of faithfulness passed on through godly lives CHORUS: Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful May the fire of our devotion light their way May the footprints that we leave Lead them to believe And the lives we live inspire them to obey Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful After all our hopes and dreams have come and gone And our children sift through all we've left behind May the clues that they discover and the memories they uncover Become the light that leads them to the road we each must find REPEAT CHORUS Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful |
The purpose of this thread is to share the lyrics of Gospel songs that inspire and edify you. As the world is awash with ungodly and suggestive music, let the children of Zion sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, offering our sacrifices of praise to the great Redeemer and encouraging one another. I will start with mine. I have songs for different occasions: when I'm happy, sad, discouraged, etc. I am a fan of Bill and Gloria Gaither and enjoy Southern Gospel music. Please feel free to add yours Down from His Glory Oh, how I love Him How I adore Him My breath, my sunshine My all in all The great Creator Became my Savior And all God's fullness Dwelleth in Him Down from His Glory Ever living story My God my Savior came And Jesus was His name Born in a manger To His own, a stranger A Man of sorrows, fears and agony Oh, how I love Him How I adore Him My breath, my sunshine My all in all The great Creator Became my Savior And all God's fullness Dwelleth in Him Without reluctance Flesh and blood His substance He took the form of man Revealed the hidden plan Oh, glorious myst'ry Sacrifice of Calv'ry And now I know Thou wert the great "I am" |
Among the amazing blind people are two gospel artists: Fanny Crosby(remember Blessed assurance) and Marilyn Baker (He gives joy to the hopeless) |
simpleseyi: Your id is Salt1, you are now adding salt to a bad injury. Mind you, middle east does not export religion and warfare; instead Nigeria exports religion because Nigerians have highest number of churches all over the world and USA exports warfare. You can't dispute this. For the few mad so-called Muslims terrorizing the world, we shall soon cage ourselves because they are damaging our already spoiled reputation no thanks to Western propaganda. You sound too reasonable to be writing this. JuSt for the records: I live in Nigeria and my opinion of Islam has nothing to do with Western propaganda but is formed by the actions of Yerima, Mutallab, Boko Haram,my Muslim driver, Mike the London killer etc. Maybe, I've not been fortunate to meet and relate with good Muslims even though I've stayed in Kano and visited Gombe, Zamfara, Sokoto, Kaduna etc. Blame your fellow Muslims, not western media, for giving the rest of us the impression that Islam is an angry faith! |
Ayoobscom: Subhanalah wabihamdihi Subhanalah liasimNo intention of disparaging your faith or the dead imam, but his last comment sounds like he preferred to be taken to a different destination rather than where he was heading |
Middle east respiratory syndrome. I didn't know that the middle east exports other things than religion and warfare. As if those two are not problem enough |
Don Demu: I hope igbo people will not take advantage of this cheap mode of transportation to export their trade of prostitution, armed robbery and kidnapping to the northern part of the country.I hope the Northeners don't use them to transport BH boys, suicide bombers, almajiris, beggars and tiny infant brides down south |
There is rarely any African woman that is a feminist. The African woman, unlike her Western counterpart is a womanist: pro-male, pro-child and pro-marriage. The womanist fights societal evils like Child marriage, illiteracy of women, genital mutilation, obligatory motherhood, horrible widowhood practices etc. Don't confuse these frivolous women with others |
Hearme: This headline is misleading several people on this forum. The woman died after a great quarrel and fight over money but not as a result of been unable to have a male child. The Childs comment on the money for stew shows that the man does not want to release money and there is no part of the story that states that the present pregnancy is also a female child. I think the poster should learn to use the right heading appropriately. RIP to the dead but a double tragedy to the children who will more or less live as an orphan till there father is executed. It's related. This wasn't a one-oFf quarrel as neighbours had noticed that the man had been pouring out his frustrations on having to fend for daughters. I've seen it happen but joy and normalcy returns with the birth of the almighty boy! |
A friend refused a man for answering Inyama. Said it reminded her of nyama nyama(dirty). Another refused an Onwu (death). I think surnames matter. Which Igbo lady wants to answer Mrs Agbugbaeruleke? |
Peace Mass Transit again? That transport company should regulate the speed of their buses and train their drivers on defensive driving. I don't know if the driver was at fault in this particular case but their drivers are known for reckless driving and over speeding It appears that Peace Mass and accident have become synonymous |
Mods Front page please and let's all commiserate with the mother of the nation. This is really unfortunate The report says she may not really be her mother but PEJ chose to call her mother. Could it be same reason she chose to call widows fellow widows? Not laughing at death, please! |
Superego: God bless you!I don't think I insulted you. I struggle, really struggle, to understand. The North has 10million almajiris and is still one of the best environments to do business? My understanding of business is where the people have the purchasing power. And purchasing power is a function of education even vocational education. What is the purchasing power of this 10million almajiris? What will they contribute to the economy in the future? Can you not see that this is a vicious cycle? Illiterate and poverty stricken mothers breed babies who will only be like them. 500,000 teen mothers in the US isn't an epidemic, pls! In relation to their population. Most of these teen mothers have the opportunity for education and jobs. Since our health care system is inadequate to cope, don't you think it's enough reason to dIscourage early teen pregnancy? I am yet to see you discuss the implication of early marriage on educational attainment of these girls |
Superego: Nairaland,Are you the op? You're a doctor of what? What of educating the girl? What of empowering her economically? Does it not bother that the North is supplying the nation all the negative indices of poverty, disease and illiteracy? Don't you see the link btw child marriage and maternal and infant mortality? Pls read Uwais' article on fp and stop exposing your perverted mindset |
vedaxcool: where those who r running their, please come and rebut this man.The myopia of this writer and yours is depressing. He mentioned VVF only and dismissed it as just another chance happening. And the panacea for immorality and abortion is early marriage.? As if there is no immorality and abortion happening among these who marry so early! What of educating the girl to a satisfactory level? What of her economic empowerment! What of educating her so that she makes good nutitional and health choices? How can writers like this fail to see that in emasculating and pauperizing their females, they keep the entire region backward? With this mindset, the North will remain backward and continue breeding like rabbits |
bunmioguns: somebody shld read dis nd pls translate for meLet me try. The Muslim writer of this trash said "leave us with our child marriage. VVF can happen whether you marry at 9 or 90. It's just another shit that people are unfortunate to have even though it just happens more in the North. Final summary: leave us with our child marriage because Mary (whom we don't like her Son's followers) did the same two millenia ago! And don't bother if the man is 80 and the bride is 9! The more ancient the man, the better he will be as lover and provider" Op, did I get your summary right? |
ZUBY77: SENATOR AHMED SANI YARIMAN BAKURATell me that it's not true that Yerima wrote this! No it can't be true! A whole former state governor claims that early marriage can solve half of Nigeria's problems! So, by Yerima's calculation the solution to the following problems is as follows 1. Unemployment............just marry the girls early 2. bad roads...............marry 13 year old girls 3. terrorism...............simple: marry a 12 year old 4. corruption...............a 9year old virgin girl's marriage is the solution 5. kidnapping..............early marriage Someone please tell the arrogant senator that the other half of problems which early marriage will not solve include 1. Illiteracy of the girl child 2. Poverty as a result of illiteracy 3. VVF 4. raising tons of almajiri kids It’s irritating when these folks peddle the morality factor. Check STD/HIV prevalence rate by state and the North still take the lion’s share. So much for morality! |
chucksbadt: sowy bro!...jst so u kno; am a graduateA graduate? Thought you were a page boy at big auntie's wedding! |
signed |
zig2ryme04: TO ALL HATERS, THIS IS HOW I DO MY THING!I am surprised to see you angry. Can't you take jokes? Didn't people tease you? Who are you that can't be laughed at? Come on, put back those pictures and let the laughter continue! |
chucksbadt: rate me!Fine boy! How was your JAMB? |
Hunkuyee: My brother you are objecting child marriage but indirectly promoting child sex, make a sample female child in your area you will be shocked to know that majority of them have known men beyond your imagination. Early marriage is solution to unwanted pregnancy, abortion, spread of sex related diseases among our youth. Hundred percent in support of early marriage especially that my religion and tradition support that. You people should not decieve yourself with western cultures.Ask your self how many ladies graduate from the university and still virgin. Many of you here are shouting that you will not marry graduate but rather run to the village and get wife, why? Because you know majority of the so call big girls in the cities are corrupt and known men for long.I don't get your obsession with intimacy! Don't you people think of any other thing? How does early marriage solve unwanted pregnancy or abortion? ok I get it. The child brides are too young to know of such options. The most recent statistics show that the North trumps the records on HIV in Nigeria courtesy of polygamy and child marriage |
mmmustapha: Pieces of rubbishOf course it will be rubbish to you. But to the girls, it is a battle for life! For education! For a career! For a future for their offspring! A recent mass wedding in Gaza.

Holding myself from weeping on reading this. Sounds like Nawoj's story: the Yemeni girl who at 12 had already married and divorced. How can change come when the culprits insist their religion supports it? |
PDPwayoo: @OP ur nose is wide wider widest like mr. Tortoise post office. And the thick negroid lips nko! Nna mehn! Op don't get angry. We all need some little laughter from the serious CHILDnotBRIDE protest. I am sure you look better than me with my mango head and puff puff cheeks! ![]() |
basilo101: Its beta dey get maried as early as possible dan constituting nuisaince in our streets. Teen marriage is beta dan immorality. NOTE: I'm a xtian frm SEYou are not a Christian and you are not from the SE! How does a 13year old girl marrying remove them from being nuisance? They become a greater nuisance by giving birth to almajiris whom they cannot care for. And who says they aren't immoral even after the marriage? Go and check HIV rate. The North, with its polygamy and early marriage combined has the highest rate |
My answers are here: 1 Logic : how logical is it for a 60year old man to marry a 9year old? 2 Indescencies: I don't know how you define decency. Marrying four wives? 3 Blasphemy: again the two religions define blasphemy differently but in one, the blasphemer is not killed but left for the blasphemed to judge 4 Intolerance: you shouldn't even include this one. Who bombs the other's place of worship? 5 Unclad: for one sex only, right? Laughable! 6 Consistency: with sound reasoning, like child marriage or polygamy? I don't understand you 7 Alterations: of what? The only constant thing is change. 8 Contradictions: with what? You've just said you don't practice everything in your religion 9 Versions: I agree that there are different versions of the Bible making it easy to understand unlike yours where you can only talk to or hear from your Creator in a language you don't understand! Wsdm: Sorry i don't intend to derail the thread but i only replied someone. |
Don Demu: Y'all hating cos u quiet well know how tight a 9yr old will be down there and ur fake religious belief will not allow you have a tasteI see you're joking! Enjoy your joke even tho it's not funny to the rest of us |
Metallurgist: Hypocracy, they no protest for the thousands of child and teen pregnancies and abortions, but because concern islam and the north, its became a bashing thing, in our world where culture and understanding differs, proper explation is needed for clearance on such issues, in islam purberty equals maturity, and a girls who was physically and mentally capable of bearing a child is elligeable to be married even if she is 13 yrs old, and u bashers ar just echoes of western opion and not ur own geniun opionCHILDnotBRIDE! It's just unfortunate that it has to be about Islam and the North. Proper explanation is needed as you said, but people like you won't listen or even understand the explanation (judging from your composition above). Now listen and listen real hard to understand us. It's not just Western opinion or religion; because someone has asked what age is allowed by other religions. It is basic science. A girl's body isn't mature enough to cope with pregnancy until she is, at least, sixteen. So menstruation is not maturity but the beginning of a process. To marry her off means the following: 1. she can develop VVF and you can't just say "na so Allah want am" 2. she may die in pregnancy. The rate of women dying in pregnancy in Nigeria is high and the North is contributing 80% of that figure. With child brides, you can understand why 3. she cannot get a good education. Without a good education, she can't get a good job or learn a trade. Or even know basic hygiene to take care of herself and her children. Do you think that all these evils are ok provided her husband enjoys the tightness of a 9year-old? Must the little girls be destroyed and their future wrecked because one man wants intimate pleasure? |
Desric: If all these things had happened in the North, I think the story, headlines, publicity, and polticisation will be quite different from what we seeing and hearing now. I think our problem is not really our leaders after all, our problem is simply ourselves for allowing nepotism and hypocrisy take over our conscience. Until we see ourselves as Nigerians and not Northern, Southern, Muslim or Christian, our problem will still be far from solved. My heart goes out to the affected corpers as well as I will still warn them to desist from any act that could jeopardise or risk their life wherever they are posted because sometimes our youths acts very irrational even though I condemn the act in its totality as no aggression whatsoever should have warranted such actions and wickedness against anyone. Why bring sectionalism into this? What is bad is bad! I feel sorry for the girls and their anxious parents |
