Guk: Good move if for the right reasons. This was done 4 years ago and it gave AERO competitive advantage over the others. Then, they sold 500,000 tickets at 5,000 lasting a period of 2 weeks netting them 2,500,000,000I remember buying Owerri-Lagos return for N6,000. The cheapest ever but had to book online in May against an August trip. But it was more than worth it |
I am not disappointed with her appearance. Daughters derive a perverse pleasure in looking like their fathers. Is she Remi's daughter? I thought she didn't have a child for Asiwaju |
logica: Oh no you missed it. I make my own rules in my house. The fact that you are willing to kill does not mean you are willing to be killed (that's the first rule of an assassin or soldier: kill but don't be killed). So because I am a scammer, I should allow people to scam me?What did your last slave die of, logica? Because you sound like a slave driver with your rules. Watch this attitude! Men like you are the type that resorts to physical abuse if their wives are more financially comfortable |
Na every sunday be Mother's day?
Actually, the British whom we are following mark theirs in March. But Americans mark it on May 10. And because we follow the Brits but admire Americans, we tend to mark both! Happy mother's day to all mothers for the second time! |
The Bible cautions us against judging other people's servant but when it comes to the issue of faith, Jesus himself said by their fruits you shall know them. There are real pastors who're weeping over the sheep, nurturing them and guiding them They may not be popular or well-known but heaven knows them. I listened to one sister who God showed heaven and hell talk of how some pastors go to India, Ghana and Ijebu-Ode to acquire power to attract and retain a large congregation. But every person is ultimately accountable and responsible for his own actions or inactions. You can't blame your pastor if you fail to please God and not make heaven. The bible is an open book and is so cheap that anybody can buy and read for himself. We have also been given the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth. Instead of seeking for true pastors, let's seek for Him who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. A personal intimate relationship with Him will guide us from error. Many people lived god-pleasing lives even when there were no Bibles and no pastors. The Bible says we should look up to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, not a fallible pastor. |
Asiwaju9ja: na Nollywood? U lie. Big lie. I cannot make love with her again, na zorg I fit dey zorg her. But because of hiv make she pack her load and go. They were zorging b4 d baby, during d pregnancy and 5moths after d baby. Guy do a DNA as d woman no fit wait may d thing heal proper so, them go do again wen d brouhaha die down small. This time, na ur bed dem go use. What do I stand to gain by lying? Obviously, some people have far higher moral principles than the hypocrites on this thread. Many husbands commit adultery but swear never to forgive a repentant wife. How's that for double standard and hypocrisy! Sickening |
biolabee: bros.. why u answer naSorry I didn't know it was a rhetorical question. I am not a Jambite juvenile. I may be as old as your parent! Now no more insults! That's a good boy! |
biolabee: wow.. that man has a heart of goldYea! That's real love! Covered her shame and protected her from ridicule. They had two more sons after the unfortunate incident and there was never a story/suspicion of the wife getting into that again. In fact, her debt of gratitude kept her from misbehaving again |
rolchi: Nollywood?!No. Real life and known and connected with me. |
cold: The marriage has been damaged irreparably. There's absolutely no way the op can carry on in his present state of mind. He can forgive but will never forget. All the talk about seeking the face of Jesus, going into prayers bla, bla, bla is just a colossal waste of time. The marriage is over, divorce is the only sensible option available. Besides, once the sex drive is dead the union is as good as useless.Says who? I have seen a marriage where the wife's infidelity produced a son. The husband was hurt but he forgave and brought up that son along with his other children. The son never knew till the man died. And in the man's old age, it was that son that took care of him. Op has no healthy option except to forgive and re-build trust. Forgiving is for his own emotional and physical health. Who said a second wife will be faithful? Women are good at keeping secrets. |
Onegai: IVF is expensive and there's a stigma attached to it, all the couples I know who do it don't like admitting it. I know a guy who had a great girl in her early 30s, to wed. His parents insisted she get pregnant before the wedding. When it didn't happen, they claimed it was her age. So the dude broke up with her and broke her heart, and married a younger girl. Guess who had the reproductive issues? They still ended up doing IVF and will never admit it.With so many practitioners competing, the price is coming down and so does the "stigma". The couple may not admit it not because of stigma but of gratitude to God. Admitting is like praising the doctor whereas many will prefer to give God the glory that they eventually succeeded. After all, the success rate is still about 25% despite the cost |
wonlasewonimi: You call it good jollof rice just like the OP would call that sacrifice he is cooking good jollof rice. Maybe you should go to Bank olemoh for some lessons.Sacrifice? To which deity? |
donLEXY: By the way, someone else did the cooking, you just posed for a picture.... The stick you are holding did not even go into the rice you wanna stir *tongue out* for u. On my educative reasoning thingMy thoughts exactly! Tell the truth op. Did you really do the cooking or someone cooked and you posed and posted? Looking at that food makes me hungry |
Brilliance9000: Women by nature, don't like to read all these. All they care is to trap you and keep you hostage. Way to go guys...get your education and career together. Trust me...women will be all over you. Intelligence, personality and money remain the biggest attributes to have. By Nigeria standard; money alone can pull it off. If in Diaspora, typically, looks, personality and intelligence can get you there. Now back to the spine of my post... I know a few people who foolishly fell into that scripture of "true love" in their 20s. They ended up having kids, dropped from school, had to work non-degree jobs to raise their kids. Before you know it, ten yrs have passed. They break up; guess what? She goes and marries an educated, career-fixed guy, that has his stuff together. As soon as she does this, then it hits you, what have I done with my life. You see, women don't give a sh$it about you, when it comes to making their life decision of who to be with. THIS IS WHEN YOU WILL KNOW A WOMAN IS VERY WICKED. NOT EVEN HER FATHER OR MOTHER CAN CHANGE HER MIND ON THAT. SHE IS FOLLOWING HER HEART( 90% of them only use their heart and don't use their MIND....ability to think deeply.) AND DOESN'T CARE IF SHE RIGHT OR WRONG UNTIL SHE HITS THE WALL HERSELF.Good post with many ungodly suggestions! My brother-in-law followed this your rule and married at 49! When his mates are giving out daughters in marriage, he is paying school fees for JSS pupils. And some who married in their late twenties, marrying the love of their hearts, are far more financially comfortable than he is. When a man is made, he finds it difficult to get his real love because he can't tell who's coming to chop and who truly loves him. The suggestions to work hard are ok but pay for sex and neglect relationships? No! NO! |
gbokukueba: Why can't we have an effective baby adoption process for couples to legitimately adopt children...?There is an effective adoption process in place but the demand far outstrips the supply. Waiting mothers can wait for several years. The awareness about adoption is so high that many couples wait for very long to have their bundles of joy. The major reason why such centres thrive is because of this huge demand. There is also the other side of those who want to shield their adopted children of the so-called stigma of being adopted. They are the mothers-to-be who fake such pregnancies and buy from these unlicensed homes. The stories of those pregnancies are about the same 1. woman tells friends and family she's pregnant. Nobody else can see the growth (tho some take hormonal supplements to simulate growth). Even pregnancy tests are all negative, but the woman insists she's pregnant 2. she never goes for ante-natal in a regular hospital but in such maternity homes where she's given herbs 3. the baby is never delivered in a regular hospital but must travel to the rural area and the herb-woman handles the delivery. Our society values children, but how long will women cover secrets? The IVF option is booming and improving everyday. Many women in their fifties are experiencing pregnancies and having multiple deliveries through assisted fertilization. Is it not better than this shameful conduct? |
I am a die-hard optimist and I do believe this analysis. I am glad that we're moving up. I think that if Nigeria had been progressing at the level it has within the past ten years, we would've gone farther than where we are. Change is a gradual process and democracy, no matter its pitfalls, is still the best system of government. Those still whining that the change hasn't impacted on the common man may be exaggerating. Illiteracy level in my hometown (don't ask me where) has so gone down that I had to scrap the idea of a NGO I intended to set up. Poverty and illiteracy go together |
Adanyebe: IS THAT HIS SON OR HIS DAUGHTER OR AM I NOT SEEING WELL?I don't blame you. Why will they plait this lovely boy's hair? What does it mean? Is it too much for little boys to be little boys and girls be girls? Don't cite fashion for me! I am so unashamedly old-fashioned and don't like this confusion in the name of fashion. No! I won't keep quiet either! |
Durchmann: How about the joy and release that comes with knowing that you are free from silent moanings and torturing co-habitation? People feel you having a swell marriage and you know the truth is different. Will the divorce bring the joy and release? The truth is No! Resentment is a pain we carry about. No legal dissolution of the marriage can wipe it. The only time it's wiped is when we forgive and mend relationships. I have been there so I know what I'm talking about. I regained wholeness by forgiving. Don't rush to sever relationships which pride and arrogance may not let you go back and mend again. You loved her once! You can love her again! Nobody says it's easy. No good thing is easy and breaking up is far easier than building up. But ultimately, it is worth it. Not so much for her sake but for your own sake. This gift you will give yourself, which will cost you only humility, may save you from high BP, stroke, arthritis etc in later life. I wish you JOY! |
Durchmann: I understand what forgiveness means but i think it is given to someone whose actions demand such. I considered all these and so much before i made my decision. Not really! Forgiveness is given to an undeserving person. It is ultimately a gift to YOURSELF because in forgiving, you let go of all bitterness which is like acid in your system causing you physical and emotional harm. Try forgiving and you will see how all the bottled up feelings will thaw and disappear, freeing you to live and love again. The other party may not deserve it but YOU do deserve the joy and release that come with forgiving somebody.....who hasn't even asked for it. It gives you a taste of the divine. |
Durchmann: NICE! You make think about calling my wife back even though i've settled for a divorce already. Please please and please, call your wife back. That is, if she is your first wife. Divorce is never the answer. The next person will not be better which is why second marriages crash even faster than the first ones. Please re-consider and re-unite your home. Don't carry anger and resentment: it poisons the bearer more than it does the target. I beg you on her behalf to forgive and start again |
Stegomiah: 19 Things Every Female In Her 20’s Should Know (MUST READ)This is soo good! Op I hope you don't mind my copying and sending to others |
olarwarlay: Some people here need to learn the correct interpretation and comprehension of write-ups. The OP never asked anyone to do this, She started by saying "Just curious to know if anyone has done this".Not really! This is how error starts: from suggestion, to instruction, to law, to doctrine! We must guard this faith jealously |
Another bizarre one from a person seeking relevance! Just when you think you've heard it all, another supposed apostle of new understanding springs up. God hates intimacy outside marriage which is why He established marriage. Here comes a prophetess telling a couple that they will honour God more by defeating the very purpose for marriage. I've heard of those advising couples that there should be no intimacy on sundays because it's a holy day! My advice to op and her cohorts: don't cause people to mock your religion. Secondly, teach the things that will take you and others to heaven. Don't add to the words of God and don't remove from them |
xtayle: Mujaheed Dokubo Asari said he became muslim because islamic doctrines support the kind of mission he was embarking upon. Looks like a Militant finds enough comfort/support for his trade/career in islam.Islam owes its highly bloated figure of converts to high birth rate in Muslim countries. When you add polygamy to illiteracy you can understand. For those who're not Muslims by birth, they are usually 1. those with homicidal and suicidal tendencies 2. those living on the fringes of society who are looking for value, even nuisance value 3. those who hate America and Israel 4. A few inquisitives who have tried Christianity, Buddhism, traditional religion etc and who want to try out Islam |
olamkas: muslims converting to christianity,on top wetin:ignorance, poverty and mere test.I laugh at this. Where do you have a higher degree of ignorance and poverty? Among Christians or among Muslims? From this thread and similar ones, we can see the Muslim's style of educating and winning converts: 1. Threaten them: to avoid being banned, please ensure that your post is not offensive to Islam. This is a mild e-version of convert or get destroyed. Threats can work with your followers for whom blasphemy is a matter of life and death, but you don't expect us to share the same feelings 2. Insult them: for expressing an opinion on this thread, which I did in the most courteous manner, I've been called a coward. Others have been accused of being fools, not having open minds, slaves to popes and pastors and Jews etc. In doing this, the poster is cocky, rude and overbearing. 3. Disparage the Bible as being a corrupted book, but quote copiously from it if it suits the purpose. The corrupt book is valid if it said anything that can favour the Muslim's argument 4. Cite historical illustrations. Jihad is akin to Crusades etc. Islam hacks back to Christianity's remote past(a religion they say is trash) to validate the atrocities committed by its members in the 21st century. 5. Look for conspiracy theories: the negative image of Muslims is the one peddled by USA. The average Nigerian depends on the Western media to understand why 50 Catholic churches have been torched in Borno. But for the Western media, he would have known that Islam is a religion of peace. One good point on this thread, I noticed, is that the chief Imam of NL, Maclatunji, is in such a good mood that he is not banning people so much. What good thing happened to you, Tunji dear, so that I may rejoice with you? You know I am a Christian: I love my enemies! If there is anything that Muslims can take from me on this thread, it is this: YOUR ACTIONS, ONLINE AND OFFLINE, ARE SCREAMING SO LOUDLY THAT I DON'T NEED ANY FURTHER EDUCATION ON YOUR RELIGION. |
aurenflani: Desika is a sorry sick mind! Lies are not a way to proslytise ur religion in tje sense that it never help you get new converts. On the contrary it opens the eyes of the curious christians who sincerely start to perus through the Qur'an and subsequently revert to Islam. This is true study the rapid conversion to Islam amongst Americans and Europeans, you will see what I am saying.I am amused at claims of rapid conversion when I know that these converts are usually the down-and-outs of society who're already prone to violence. It's from Islam thread I first of convinced Muslims and Muslims by default. I'm persuaded that but for the compulsion element in the religion, the already inflated statistics would nose-dive. Attend any church and see how Muslims are converting to Christianity in their numbers. That people are converting isn't enough justification to stick to a religion. You won't eat shit, will you? Just because millions of flies are doing so! |
blink182: Now that it is a Muslim thread, Seun has permanently fixed a warning to dissuade people from mocking allah and Muhammed but it is completely cool for people to ridicule and mock God the mighty Father and Jesus.Unnecessary! God and Jesus can bear mockery. They're used to it and patiently hold back judgment until you're dead. We follow our Leader's example. He isn't allergic to ridicule and mockery and doesn't want us fighting for Him. The story is told of the patriarch Abraham who received a stranger into his home. He noticed his guest didn't offer thanks before eating. On further examining the man, he found out that the old man didn't believe in God. Abraham sent him out in anger. God came to Abraham and asked him about the man He (God) had sent to Abraham to show hospitality. Abraham told God that he chased the man out because he didn't believe in God. God now told Abraham "I've put up with his unbelief for 80years and you couldn't endure him for just one night?". Abraham ran out and brought the man back home Nagoma and co, no intention of derailing your thread whatsoever! Do please answer my questions |
nagoma: You certainly need a lot of education as you are full of misinformation. Talking about spellings- The correct spelling is MUSLIM and not Moslem. Thanks. Thanks for the correction. Now begin to answer my questions. I'm a non Muslim |
deSika: yes non muslims have [blots of questions. one of the ways you could teach them about islam is by responding to their questions.by so doing u dispel wrong notions and replace with the right knowledge. These are not the questions that non Moslems ask. You can see from your response that only another Moslem is replying you. I am a non-Moslem and my questions are 1. why does Islam allow girls as young as nine to be married? Is it religion or is it culture? I heard of a Yemeni proverb that says that if you want a peaceful marriage, you should marry a 9year old girl. Is it truly cultural or religious? 2. How come the more fundamentalist/pious a Moslem is, the more he is prone to violence? 3. What is the reward for being a good Moslem woman? We agree that all that 72 virgin stuff is hype but what is the real reward? 4. Is it true, really true, that Islam allows wives to be beaten joyfully by an angry husband? 5. How has Islam made the world a better, safer, healthier place? What are the scientific advances made by man as a result of studying the Koran? 6. How come when discrepancies in Islam are highlighted, the Moslems hack back at the Bible or History? Can't Islam defend its PRESENT position without comparison/contrasts with Christianity? They hardly attack other faiths; even pagan countries are all lumped as Christians. Why These are the ways you can teach me about your religion, not whether Abraham and Jesus were also Moslems. I hope you're not angry that I did a little spelling correction on your post |
dridowu: From my tribe Ijebu, Ikokore, who love it ? Lovely DelicacyThis porridge made of grated water- yam is eaten in various ways by other non-Yorubas. Cross River and Afikpo in Ebonyi call it Oto and they add periwinkles and dry fish. Very delicious! Ekpan nkwukwo is a variety of same dish except that the paste/dough is first wrapped in coco-yam leaves or green. Sometimes in place of water yam, they use red cocoa yam or unripe plantain. My other favourites from other tribes 1. Rivers Native Soup cooked with prawns, snail, fresh fish, utazi, achi etc and served with pounded yam 2. All soups of Efik origin: edikaikong, afang, atama, editang, afia fere (I no be Calabar, but their dishes are great!). Add oto, ekpan nkwukwo and I can eat them round the clock without looking for beans, rice or yam. I think Cross River is the Delicious Food Capital of Nigeria 3. Danbu nnama dried and grated kilishi |
I enjoy Matse and see absolutely nothing haughty or arrogant about her. I can see that people like to feel important while airing their views and it will take the patience of Job not to put such people where they belong |

That's not "double standard"; it is commonsense and self preservation. The rule is simple; if you are going to cheat, don't be caught. The crime is in being caught.
