To have access to Etisalat new HSPA+(3.75G) network, you must be within:

1. 3.75G Coverage Area

2. Access Device (3G USB Modem or Phone)

3. Appropriate Data Plan (Easy Blaze)

A normal data/voice sim is also needed to have access to the new network. There is no need for any special provisioning. Simply subscribe to any of the Etisalat Easy Blaze plans and your sim will be activated for 3G.

To enjoy full 3G speeds, your location matters a lot especially your proximity to a 3G Base Station. The closer you are, the better the signal and the faster the speeds. Etisalat currently only has 3G in 14 states of the Federation. Therefore, call Etisalat Customer Care to confirm if your state is among them.

If you have a 3G USB modem or a phone that supports 3G, you can also access the Etisalat 3.75G network. USB Modems from MTN and Glo that have been unlocked will also work on the network.

If you are browsing from Nigeria and your ISP is one of the clients of Main One Cable Company (International Submarine Cable Operator), i would advise you to use Level 3 Servers/Global Crossing as Main One recently joined its network extending its reach to Nigeria.

I feel you anyway, I'd do same if I were in your shoes.
But i feel that as a developer it is also important that I am able to use my laptop for longer hours and your system does not provide that. So, I'd not totally hand it to you man!

I use my system primarily for Auto cad drawings, 3D Renderings and playing PC games. I needed a powerful system. Its connected to an 8Hr APC unit at home. I don't carry it much around and if i have to, i connect it to a power outlet. Batteries last 2hrs which is ok. When i bring out the beast, everybody's laptops starts to they malfunction. LOL !! But am upgrading soon. Have bought a desktop for my power needs but i still need a powerful laptop with a Sandybridge Core i7 and Nvidia Optimus technology. Am going for a 15" also so that its not too heavy.

Yeah, I know your specs. With a 2nd Gen Quad i7 @1.6GHz which is very overclockable. (since you have 8GB of DDR3 RAM) and a class one GPU.
I have always respected ASUS for their gaming edge per cost in relative to other harware vendors. Although, the drawback to your machine would be power. Apparently, the system is not optimized for power saving. ekt_bear can use his switchable graphics when not doing anything graphically tasking. Albeit, I hand it to you man, thats a nice system you have there! Am sure it runs Crysis effectively cos your GPU makes it highly possible. Also the backlit keyboard is a good design advantage. I also like your screen resolution.

Aside gol.ge, which is generally slow, where can i download single link .iso files?

I mostly use Rapidshare, Filesonic or Fileserve Premium for my downloads. Way faster and can be resumed. Cheaper also. Just $10.

You can calculate your speed using the above link. Its a bandwidth calculator. Don't forget to use bits when calculating the speeds not bytes.

As texazzpete said, Apple doesn't own any patent on Micro-Sims so they are not gonna see a dime. Just because Apple popularizes the Micro-Sim on the Iphone 4 doesn't mean they own the technology. Glo and MTN officially support and sell Micro-Sims in their offices therefore any phone using Micro-sim is supported in Nigeria. smh. Some people sef !!!

Am sure the android boss will not be making this statement if he was the one smiling to the bank as Apple is. Like it or not, the age of the personal assistant (A.I) has dawned and smartphones will never be the same again. This is just the next step in the evolution of our society. Before you know it, there will Iris and Siri everywhere. I foresee great applications for A.I like Iris & Siri. If a company is gonna make money from it like Apple is doind, they will find an application for it. As for the microsoft kinect, it was never meant to replace the gamepad as user a experience. Different games different user input devices. Just as you cannot play Warcraft with a gamepad so can you not play certain games with kinect. For me, the kinect is for playing those family friendly games. There is no basis for comparison between the two.
