He completed General Hospital in Gbagada and Ikorodu.
He built 20 Health Centres within the state
He constructed over 30,000 housing units. Some of the housing units were in
Amuwo-Odofin, Ijaiye, Dolphin, Oke-Afa, Ije, Abesan, Iponri, Ipaja, Abule Nla, Epe, Anikantamo, Surulere, Iba, Ikorodu, Badagry.

In order to fund the constructions, he increased the tenement rates and prices of plots of land in Victoria Island and Lekki Peninsula. He didn't increase it in places where the poor were staying so it won't affect them. He cared for the poor. He also increased processing fees for lotteries, pools and gaming licences. This increased internally generated revenue of the state. He refused to collect loans so the state won't be in debt.

He also started a metro line project to facilitate mass transit. Buhari later cancelled it when he took over power. When the Military Administrator of Lagos under Buhari approached the Head of State to reconsider the cancellation of the project as Lagos State would still be made to pay for it as per the contractual agreement with China. Buhari said “I don’t bloody care”. This is the major reason why people suffer daily in traffic in Lagos today. Jakande's foresight would have put Lagos ahead of other cities in the world in metro lines.

Jakande was later charged, prosecuted and convicted of TREASON by Buhari regime. NOT CORRUPTION OR STEALING OR BULLION VAN, but TREASON! When he was arrested and tried by the kangaroo tribunal, they had nothing else to charge Jakande with but Treason! Not stealing or misappropriation of funds or corruption or borrowing, but Treason.

Jakande did all he did in just 4 years without borrowing a kobo! Can any of the Lagos State governors even be regarded as being worthy to be ranked close to Jakande? 30,000 housing units in 4 years! 20 health centres. Oh, I forgot Primary and secondary schools too! He established 23 local Governments council which were disbanded by the military when Buhari sacked democracy.

Jakande estates, infrastructure and great works are still visible in Lagos till today. A man who did all those without borrowing or plunging the state into debt should be seen as the Father of Lagos!

Tinubu has not build any hospital good enough for him to use in Lagos but always traveling abroad for treatment. That's how bad health sector is today but they tell you he built Lagos ignoring Jakande. How unfair and unjust can people be jettisoning the good works of Jakande, who was not corrupt and ascribing it to Tinubu?!

I happen to be one of the luckiest persons on this planet. Not because I was born with a silver spoon, intelligent, or handsome. Heck a lot of people could do better than me in those areas.

I am lucky cos around 2019 I was opportuned to have a billionaire become my mentor. I had always known this man from 2015, but he didn't know me. We never had met until July 2019, but I always read about him and engaged him online until we met in 2019.

When I met him, I was broke and had almost nothing. He on the other hand had just lost 800 million naira. He just took interest in me irrespective of ethnic difference (he is yoruba, I am Akwa ibom)

One of the first things he said to me about himself in July 2019 was that he doesn't go for his secondary school re-union. Without waiting for me to ask for the reason he told me.

According to him, he had gone for his secondary school re-union many years back, and didn't like what he saw. Many of his colleagues were living fake lives. They only came to compete and measure their level of success. (these are people above 50. I thought this was a madness for young adults)

My mentor said even though he was the richest amongst all of them by all material indices (standards), yet he felt uneasy in their midst.
Many had to cook up lies, pull up in rented cars etc just to sell a false image.

I had finished secondary school since 2010, and because life was rough, I never bothered about secondary school re-union. Truth be told I was secretly hoping for when I would blow so I could go and show off. U get?

Working closely with my mentor started shaping my mind. I stopped hustling for the competition. My mentor always asked me, what if by d time u finally made it, u realize that all ur contemporaries had already made it??

I finally started seeing some good money last year. Majorly this year. I could literally give out 300k and not feel it. Of course I make a minimum of 30k to 40k weekly with my fone. Excluding my major source of income. In a month, I make more than 400k from my agro business, and I have not even mentioned my education business.

My cousin who went to the same sec. Sch with me convinced me last week to join him let's attend our sec. Sch re-union. At first I hesitated, but my cousin is not some1 who gives up easily. So I finally obliged.

Guess what! De ja vu.

What my mentor told me is exactly what I saw. Competition at its peak. Twas crazy Mehn! If I were still broke maybe I would be depressed.

Everyone was elegantly dressed except me. Everyone came with bolt except me. I felt out of place Mehn!
My only consolation was that I knew I was doing better than most of those guys there so I just kept my cool and sat behind.

I always came 2nd 3rd or few times 4th. So I knew I would be among those that would be on the spot light. A few friends came around, did a little bit of chit chat and exchanged contacts and that was all.

Some of us were married, the single girls didn't even come close to me cos I didn't look flashy. I didn't even try to force myself on anyone. I just sat one place observing.

After everything, we decided to contribute money to renovate a part of the male hostel that had gone up in flames some weeks ago.

It was at this moment that I became very keen and attentive. The first person to donate was our head girl. Very modest and nice person. She was married now and exhibited maturity more than the rest of the girls. She did 20k, but promised to transfer the cash by first week of next month. The head boy followed. He was well dressed. He did 20k too and promised to transfer next week Friday.

Me I was just shocked that after the whole packaging the guy still wan transfer 20k after 1 week. Wonders shall never end.

Some other guy on dread lock transferred 12k. I was impressed. First guy to actually give cash. Other people followed suit. Some gave 2k, 5k, 1k. Etc. Look I am not looking down on anyone, but after all the packaging no body could even do 50k.

We were only 51 (our set was ss3a and ss3b) everyone had done their donation and I was left. I beckoned to my cousin (who was d anchor) that I would do mine in private. My cousin (foolish boy) rejected d idea and everyone supported him. They wanted me to say my donation openly for everyone to hear and also take account.


There was a dead silence when I said I was doing 500k. It was like they didn't hear well. I asked for the account number immediately and made d transfer. ( I no get time 4 chere ka mbia. Forgive me I am not igbo)

To cut the long story short, I humbled everyone (for just 500k o).

BISHOP UKWUOMA AT THE SCENE WHERE EBUBEAGU MASSACRED 14 WEDDING GUESTS IN IMO

The Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese, Most Rev. Augustine T. Ukwuoma, on Thursday, 21st July, 2022 paid a condolence visit to the Okafor family of Umubochi, Awo-omamma, Oru East LGA in Orlu Zone of Imo State, to commiserate with the family on the unfortunate rampage that was perpetrated by some members of the Ebubeagu Security Outfit of the Imo State Government, which occurred on Sunday 17th July.

The Bishop was accompanied by some his priests of the Catholic Diocese of Orlu and the Spiritan Congregation working in the community. He went round, observed the level of devastation that took place and was later welcomed by the priests working in the different parishes within the Awo-omamma community.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Chidimma Okafor narrated how the carnage and destruction was executed. She said that the carnage happened during the traditional wedding of one of their daughters. As the wedding was about to be concluded, there were sporadic gunshots and guests started running for safety. According to Chidimma, “Some of the guests who came for the traditional wedding were killed. One of the wedding guests shot at ran into the compound bleeding and begging for assistance. He was chased into the compound by the gunmen, who rained more bullets into his chest and he died on the spot. He would have been saved if relations were allowed to protect their guests”.

Speaking during the visit, Bishop Ukwuoma expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family. “On hearing the unfortunate incident, he said, I and the priests of the Catholic Diocese of Orlu decided to come and pay our condolences and identify with you in this moment of grief and hardship”. He urged the family to maintain peace and avoid any form of retaliation and to place everything into the hands of God. He then presented some food stuff, clothing material and cash gifts to the family.

The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Bishop, priests and the entire Catholic Diocese of Orlu. They thanked the Bishop especially for his kind words and benevolence towards the family during this time of distress.
Bishop Ukwuoma also prayed for God’s intervention with healing and peace on the family and for the repose of the victims of the dastardly invasion of the peaceful rural community.

Finally, Bishop Ukwuoma met with some of the kinsmen who expressed their gratitude to the Church for identifying with them in their moment of grief. They decried the wanton destruction of lives and property that is fast becoming notorious in our dear Orlu area. He urged the government to protect the lives of the citizens and to ensure that the letting of blood in Imo State is stopped as jungle justice will take the State to nowhere.

They chased someone they’ve shot previously to ensure they finish him up? This nor be reprisal attack? They should investigate to know if the dead guys are cultist, it is obvious it is not a random hit, the killers could have gone there for some particular persons. Rest on guys

I don’t know about Rivers or Bayelsa state but the person who told you that Gbagi is a force in Delta state must be high on cheap drugs, Deltans are clamoring for a change but it is not with chief Gbagi, go to the streets in Delta state and asks questions, Agege is the man we are rooting for, we shall vote him out in 2027 if he is unable to deliver.

A close buddy of mine is in deep shit, just 2 days back he confided in me telling me his maid (who the wife employed herself) is 14weeks pregnant!

HOW IT UNFOLDED
Earlier in the year, his wife got an invite to do her masters program in Scotland and they have a 5year old Son, so she elected they employ a maid since she couldn't take him along, she even did so herself.

The husband is a pilot and always never at home (the security the wife had I guess), now I don't know whatever went on in his tiny head, they got intimate (just once) and boom! she caught the shot expertly.. He said she's being showing symptoms since he got back from travel, so he took her for a test and its confirmed.

I guess she knew all along but did nothing on purpose, because I don't want to believe that a 22year old girl would be comfortable not flowing for 3 months (not like she's a novice).
Now, his wife is due back in September, and he's scheduled to travel again by Monday(to return only God knows when).

So technically, his wife might even return before him.

He asked for my suggestion and help, because he mentioned abortion to her and she refuted saying she nearly died after the last one she did, so the doctor warned her sternly against it.

I told him that the best I can advise/do for him is to take her in until she puts to bed. let him tell his wife she ran off with a guy or something of the sort. then we take it up from there after delivery.

The situation is one dicey and fragile one, if not handled carefully with wisdom, can ruin a lot!
