maybe, but Ghana has more political stability and security |
@ilugunboy it seems you spent all your time on campus and just visited Maiduguri metropolis(town as we call it) and never travelled around Bornu and Yobe state. Maiduguri town is very fine and modern but have you travelled to other parts? you claim to graduate from Unimaid, ok. i have a question for you. at the school main gate, instead of turning right and heading into town, turn left and drive beyond that old round about, keep going straight for like ten minutes, and you'll see a whole new world. i also attended unimaid dude and i lived off campus. |
state your reasons, my dear. its best we support our claims by facts and debatable statements. No need to be sentimental. I'm Nigerian and i've visited south Africa twice and Ghana so many times. I've also visited other African countries but these three stand out. |
we have had this arguement in my office over who is the true giant of Africa. among the debaters are our other African brothers from South Africa, Congo, Cameroun, Togo and of course we, the Nigerians who are many on my office floor. The majority vote cast in the office is that Ghana is currently the true giant of Africa. not because Obama visited them, but because of political, social, economic, and infrastructural development in Ghana. what do you think ![]() |
merijo:lmao Nne, you're mean, but that is the truth. i dont think that car will survive Nigerian roads |
adanny01:try driving from Maiduguri to Enugu in 12 hours with a shoe on. blacksta:i'm glad you said OUTSIDE NIGERIA. most folks abroad rarely use their cars and when they do, it's within reasonable distances cos they have alternative means of transport and besides their weather is different from ours. I drive outside Nigeria but always with my boots/shoes on. Imagine driving barefoot in winter. hell, i cant even leave my bedroom without wearing a bunny slipper ![]() |
It all depends on the distance and what you're wearing. If i'm wearing slippers, sandals or Half shoes (PON) i'd drive barefoot but if i'm putting on shoes, sneakers or boots, i drive with them on especially if i'm cruising inside town. If have have to drive from city to city, i go barefoot. its more comfortable. imagine driving for 12 hours straight with a shoe!!! you'd go nuts. |
there's nothing to it. Been there, done that and more, If you guys have been sleeping together, having a shower together is no issue. I've done that and its cool. You might even do it there ![]() |
Met mine in church. She approached me cos her company was looking for black guys for a commercial. After service i went for the audition but didnt get the role cos i wasnt Muscular enough for the Tv commercial, but i got a girlfriend ![]() |
I didnt know Kenya had such beautiful sights. I flew Kenya airways once in 2007(just 3 days before a KQ plane crashed in cameroun), i wasnt impressed by the airport. The airconditioners werent working and the duty free shops didnt look nice compared to other airports i'd been to. The best is Dubai, then Thailand, Jo'berg(south africa), Hong Kong, China,Abuja & Lagos, But i MUST commend you for showing these pictures. The western worlds always show only the slums in Africa and make people believe that we still live in huts, caves, and trees. I urge my fellow african brothers and sisters to post more pictures of sights and peoples of africa. I hope to really visit nairobi some day. |
All flights coming into Lagos from drug producing countries such as India, Pakistan, thailand, Brazil, Columbia, Nepal, Veitnam, etc are under serious scrutiny. The passengers are always checked and rechecked for drugs either ingested or packaged and hiden. A friend of mine who imports some items from India, says he is always scanned each time he arrives from India. some years ago, i had arrived Lagos aboard ethiopian airways from Hong Kong. we had a brief transit in thailand where we picked up more lagos bound passengers. on arrival at Lagos, the NDLEA operatives seperated passengers from hong kong and detained the ones from Thailand. They just checked my passport and saw i was returning from Hong kong and asked me to go. the passengers from thailand had their luggages seriously checked and they(passengers) were subjected to Xrays. |
@$0sisi nobody planted anything on the guy at Murtala. all the planting and packaging was done in Brazil. ![]() If the guy is really into drugs, he MUST be a fool to have put it in his canvass. very stupid indeed. |
For a married man: its so sad. come on, talk to your wife and tell her what turns you on and she'll also tell you what turns her on. for singles: catch your fun anyway you want, just be careful. there's nothing to it. i've been to a stripe club once in Hong Kong with my chinese partners at their expence. it was fun |
Sonye:i didnt get any text, but the truth remains that Nigerians are so gullible when i t comes to religion, and revernce for our pastors and priests. Most of us are more scared of the pastor than we are scared of God. I'm not saying that Adeboye is a fake pastor. No. i dont know him, but there are many false pastors in Nigeria today. I know of "pastors" who use diabolical means Pastors who sleep with people's wives Pastors who pray for and collect thithes from Drug traffickers and 419 kingpins Pastors who "see" fake visions and send our youths abroad just because He(pastor) has access to a visa racketeering group. Test every spirit. even without the text message, we as christians know we should pray without ceasing, especially around that specified time. |
Its just that the ghanaians have got better equipments but lousy actors and directors. try watching their epic movies and you'll see that High school kids in Nigeria will do a better job in custumes and acting. we're better actors and directors than they are but they unlike us, they want to improve their game and are getting good equipments and stuff. They've also got security which makes it easier for them to carry around very expensive equipments. i remember that a producer friend of mine once asked me to help him check the price of a particular model of camera and when i told him a brand new one costs about $21,000us. he just screamed. Till today, he still hires equipments for his movies ![]() |
exactly my point. we either step up or step aside and allow Ghana to take over ![]() |
@ poster this is Nigeria dude, not Hollywood. I've been down that road, believe me it aint easy. In those days i traveled to PH and met Francis Duru, then to Enugu and met Okey Igwe(big Ahanna in Rattlesnake), to Obosi and met Producers in Minaj television, Onitsha and talked to numerous markers/producers. i kept travelling till i became broke ![]() the only guy who impacted on me and appreciated my efforts was Okey Igwe. He taught me on how to be a better writer and to always believe in my abilities, no matter what. My advice to you is to have your story copied and keep the original. Never give any producer your original script cos while you're still going in circles, someone may have started shooting your story(thats Nollywood for you). i'm speaking from experience and i couldnt sue the bastard cos i gave him my hand written script. so be careful and good luck |
Most of those equipments i posted earlier are already in Ghana. some few producers in Ghana own them and lease it out. Our problem is that we are always in a hurry to get to the top. All the Alaba and Iweka marketers have become producers and directors over night and 90% of them dont even have any equipment or experience. Nollywood is an all comers affair and the annoying thing is that they steal peoples scripts and give it to someone else to re write. And by the time they finish rewriting it, the story line is rubbished and the movie becomes an eye sore. so sad |
joyblinks:And that is why we have a lot of bull sh*t movies in the market. Bad scripts, bad directing, bad acting, and of course very bad dialogues cos everything is being rushed so as not to exceed budget. The only thing Nollywood is good for is showing nice houses and flashy cars. ![]() we are always in a rush to get to the top but remember this: "Bull sh*t may get you to the top, but it wont keep you there" |
Two thumbs up for the governor and people of Delta state. It'll be more convenient than MMIA Lagos. He should also make plans for more road networks and a possible 2nd Niger bridge because when that airport becomes functional, traffick and developement in Asaba will multiply by 10. cheers y'all |
why didnt i give Igbo language much thought in High school? i appluad you guys. Jide nu ka unu ji |
@ rubi i like your signature. its inspiring |
exactly, those 2 times i hawked ice block taught me things i cherish till today |
i just did it for the fun of it because i saw other kids in my street doing it but my parents stopped me, said i was damaging the family image. i didnt understand what they meant then |
yes i did. i hawked ice block twice in 1985 |
Naturally, the earnings of both couples are for the family. A house divided against itself cannot stand. I'm still single but i know that my wife has to help me plan and build our family. We have to plan and save for our kids futures. I'm very comfortable right now and can take care of all that but it's not wise that a wife should keep her earnings to herself. The bible describes the woman as "the helper" A wife is meant to assist the husband is every way possible, that includes making right decisions, curtailing unneccessary expenditure, raising the kids, building a loving family and ofcourse paying the bills if neccessary. |
lmao this is hilarious ![]() |
