PassingShot: Can you swear that Security has not improved since PMB came on board?
Are you referring to politically sponsored herders? Swear security has improved? Should we talk about increase in mutiny among the Nigerian Army or the 'technically' defeat of the Boko Haram? If the herders are politically sponsored, how come the president of Nigeria has never supported the prosecution of these herders? I recall Buhari reacting to a terror attack in Paris roughly a year ago when he never for once reacted to the terror of the herders. Where is the common man treated compared to Yusuf who fell off a bike supposedly bought with tax payer's money? How many times has the president left the shores of this country to the UK for medicals when a damning report was leaked about Aso Rock clinic not being able boast of Paracetamol despite its heavy budget? Don't worry, next year won't be the usual for Buhari as far as the South is concerned. |

PassingShot: In 2015, PMB didn't score 10% in the whole of SE, yet he won.
In 2019, he will score nothing less than 30% across the length and breadth of SS/SE, he will win big. That was 2015. Ask yourself what has changed from that time till this day. Security wise, we all know Fulani Herdsmen are hibernating because of Buhari. We also know they will continue if he wins and none of them will be apprehended let alone prosecuted. Exactly why people desperately looked away from Jonathan are the reasons why people are looking away from Buhari. |

fratermathy: Most of the political pundits online seem to tie the fate of the SS and SE together without realising the diversity of political views and ethnic interests in the SS. The SE is one but the SS is a group of more than 30 disparate people. To bring them as one, Atiku needs to give us a rallying point and that rallying point has to be a VP slot.
The swing region is the SS. The SE has no choice but to vote Atiku. The SW may not vote for Atiku regardless of who his VP is but the SS can give Atiku a bloc vote of 8m if he plays his cards right. He has to get a VP from the SS. SE is already certain for him. SW will be difficult for him even with a VP slot but a SS VP slot will consolidate his message of restructuring and true federalism. It will fetch him votes from states that may otherwise be divided and it will also curry him the favour of SEners that may not want a SWner as VP as well as SWners that many not want a SEner as VP. Its a win-win.
All he needs to do is to get someone with widespread influence in the SS. Then he can promise the SW the position of SFG or SP. The Party Chairman is already from the South South which already rules out the possibility of a VP slot. The South East is loyal to the PDP, which means a VP slot or otherwise will see them vote Atiku massively. The South West is always the deciding factor of the South. Anything short of a Yoruba VP is an epic fail for Atiku already. |

truthfulparrot: What most people failed to realised is that PMB and the Cabal in the presidency are never comfortable with Tinubu and will subtulely support any moves to cut his influence by taking away Lagos from him. Tinubu is smart and he is aware that he is presently fighting the battle of his life!
The Presidency is also aware of the chess game that PDP is playing. PDP is not interested in having Ambode as their presidential candidate. They are only waiting for APC to make the mistake of not giving Ambode the return tickets so that they can come with their own joker which may likely be Otedola. Mark my words, APC will still postpone Lagos, Imo and Kano governorship primary.
These are interesting times. I have resolved not to support APC or PDP. I have lost faith in INEC and Nigerians politicians. I will sit back and enjoy the politicians destroy themselves. A new dawn will soon come! Buhari and his cabal are never comfortable with Tinubu because they fear his influence in the West. Unfortunately, Buhari desperately needs Tinubu now more than ever. Should Aso Rock stand against Tinubu in deciding who governs Lagos, then Buhari will suffer come 2019. Regardless, the Direct Primary is tomorrow and I highly doubt Buhari or the National APC can do a thing about it, except they change Tinubu's mind before the primaries. Albeit, Ambode is as good as gone. |

TrueNigerian300: Well I agree with you except with the bolded part. Tinubu did lay the foundation on which Fashola worked on. And as much as we may hate Tinubu we must give credit where it is due, Tinubu is a visionary and good leader and an excellent politician. But Fashola is an excellent leader and a public administrator par excellence. Bros Fashola public administration skills no be here ooooo. He is best so far I have seen or heard in the history of Nigeria.Public administration wise no Nigerian dead or alive can match him. Fashola is heading three ministries now, of which power is one and housing is another. When was the last time you heard this administration talk about Federal Housing Scheme or improvement in power supply? These are ministries headed by Fashola with little or no impact felt. It's as if he has faded into oblivion despite handling three ministries. Fashola did well in Lagos, no doubt but BAT had already done the dirty work for Fashola to sail his administration. So please, kindly take out the part of your post I emboldened because he hasn't achieved 23% out of a 100 despite the three ministries he is handling at the federal level. |

zicoraads: No be only template, na tempot.
Please, please, please, don't ever make the mistake of trying to sound like Fashola only built on Tinubu's works. Fashola is in a league of his own. No one comes close. A lot of you don't understand the politics of Lagos and it is not in any way surprising. Most you started noticing Lagos during Fashola's era but the dirty work was mostly in 2004 when Obasanjo denied Lagos its allocations for 14 months and Tinubu was able to pilot Lagos through those periods. Most importantly, study the below timelines and see how and when Fashola came into the picture: 1. The bill setting up the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) was signed into law on 13 January 2002 by the then Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (1999 – 2007). The law empowered LAMATA with the responsibility of reforming the transport system in Lagos. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagos_Metropolitan_Area_Transport_Authority2. The first phase of the Lagos BRT was opened on 17 March 2008, although it was initially slated for opening in November 2007 (the initiative to build the system was initiated by the government of the previous governor, Bola Tinubu. Bulk of Fashola's achievement centered around the BRT. Before he came on board, Lagos was working on a self sustenance system due to the withheld allocations of Lagos by the Obasanjo-led administration, all thanks to Tinubu. As it stands today, it is quite easy to be the governor of Lagos State and excel because the template from Tinubu's era is what Fashola worked with. We all know how Lagos is now after Ambode rubbished certain systems out in place by Tinubu. You might be born yesterday but it doesn't mean you must rubbish the legacies of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos. If he hadn't watered the ground, the likes of Fashola would have been thinking about how to set up his template rather than build on what has been designed. |

Mayflowa: Talking about power, Ambode share a great deal of power in Lagos. It is not easy to impeach someone that can elevate you. Ambode can easily reach out to members of state house Assembly once he wins.
Do you think people in Lagos would listen to Tinubu over Ambode? The worst is to deny him APC ticket because of the known delegate involved in voting. But voting among the public is a different ball game. And one lesson your 48 laws of power didn’t mention is that power belongs to the people! Obviously you don't understand the politics and dynamics of Lagos state. I was a member of the Mandate Group, Kosofe for three years and I know how well that group call the shots in Lagos politics, all thanks to the instructions they get from BAT. 'Egbe Mandate' as we called it back then runs across the whole of Lagos and remains the most formidable group within the APC. If you think members of the state's HoA will choose Ambode over Tinubu, then it is needless wasting precious time with you on this. Well, Ambode missed the first lesson of the 48 Laws of Power which is 'Never outshine the master'. If you miss this, others might not just work for you. It's as simple as ABC. |

Ambode remains unwise. He should take a bow from the guber race and reopen talks of ministerial appointment in Abuja.
He will lose on all sides and even IF he wins the election, he just might be the first Lagos state governor to be impeached in the fourth Republic. He claims to have gone to school, acquired education but haven't studied 'The 48 Laws of Power'. |

Taking the PSP thing to Visionscape makes zero sense, Lagos is dirty & he lost goodwill, wonder what came over him...
I however believe they will sort themselves out soon...
Eko o ni baje, o baje ti. Ambode has his own support group and it was among Tinubu's grievance, other than the overhauling of some Agencies birthed during Tinubu's era. Unfortunately, the Mandate Group still calls the shot in Lagos' politics. Fashola never supported Ambode but he was Tinubu's choice then. We all know this for a fact.
