Efewestern: no need arguing politics on Nairaland, what we have here re zombies, those who will support pdp regardless of how corrupt they are, and those who will support Apc regardless of how clueless they are.
I just don't know what's wrong with some people's brain, can't they stand for the truth for once?, Buhari is a big failure, And GEJ is no better.
What we have are two clueless bunch who failed Nigerians, as usual their zombie supporters will always defend them like u see sarrki and his colleagues always doing .
We don't have thinkers in this part of the world, they all make decisions base on religious and tribal sentiments. Bless you, bro! Nigerians made a very huge mistake in voting Buhari. We have all come to realise it and are bent on correcting it come 2019. You wouldn't really blame these BMC guys. They are on a payroll to defend the ineptitude of Buhari's administration even though his horrible record so far is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf. I just pray the Ekpa quotes me and try to make sense about Buhari's paper security achievements. I just fear for 2019, because we would be torn between a useless, clueless vegetable of a president and a highly corrupt, super desperate former vice president in the guise of Atiku. |

If some of you guys that voted Buhari are intelligent and not fraudulent you would have check his record / history to know he's always a 'bad market' when it comes to governance.
For Soyinka to have bought into Sai baba hogwash says much after all he said about same man years back.
So you are the one with half education (abo eko) regarding buhari and like you mentioned the lights are gradually going out on this administration cos they've burned the fuse So you guys latch on to antecedents in deciding who to vote? If so, why then were you crying after Jonathan lost, despite the many noise that he ran one of the most corrupt administration the country has ever seen? If you are so intelligent at detecting antecedents, how come you have underperformers as governors in your region, knowing full well that they have never amounted to doing something meaningful in previous offices they found themselves in? |

TheFreeOne: Soyinka should save us his grammars and apologize to Nigerians for supporting the most evil government in our history. A government under whose watch incompetency, bigotry, nepotism, suicides, selling of children by their parents to survive harsh economy, incessant killings by Fulani militia terrorists, extrajudicial killings by the army has become a way of life.
The silence from his likes in the face of glaring injustices has portrayed them to be hypocrites.
And is he not part of the mumus that supported the election of Buhari in 2015 So Soyinka should apologise to you because he chose to publicly throw his weight around a politician who has turned out to be a disappointment? Last I checked, the prof never forced his choice down anyone's throat and he equally didn't ask people to go with his choice. Till date, you and your people never apologised to Nigerians for dying over an Ijaw man who attached Azikiwe to his name out if sheer desperation. Perhaps you have forgotten so soon, Jonathan/Sambo went full throttle with the tribal/religious card, with the assistance of some conmen who themselves pastors. Buhari is no doubt an epic failure but that Prof. Wole should apologise to you and other Nigerians is enough to make me ask 'who una be?' |

Attack him and leave his wife/marriage out of it! You still seem to be missing it. That of Akpororo and Peter was low reason being that the discourse was never centred around their wife/marriage. That of Oritsefemi is entirely different. The wife is taking the fall for the unfortunate, misguided comments of the baby she married. He introduced his wife/marriage into the mess the moment he compared Wizkid's and Davido's show to the turn up at his wedding. Below is the Genesis of the whole saga. No one would have just called him out to rubbish his wife had he kept his fingers to himself.

You talk about sex, you're ashawo. You had sex before marriage, you're olosho. Small quarrel you have with an average Naija guy, just wait for that olosho line. Very few of them would never pull that card...very few!! I believe you understand the origin of the issue at hand? Although I don't subscribe to the bashing of his wife but then again, it wouldn't have happened if he hadn't come out to shade Olamide and Wizkid. Interestingly, he was the one who claimed his marriage witnessed more attendance than the shows they had. It was only a matter of time before someone had his time. |

So there's an official age for men to get married where you're from He should ONLY THINK of marriage in his 30s and probably get married at forty or near forty? I used to think this mindset affected those who haven't been exposed from your side. Sadly, it is a general syndrome. For the record, certain factors are necessary when considering marriage as a male; Financially mature/stable Emotionally mature Psychologically mature Spiritually mature So you're saying a 28-year old dude with the above should not think of settling down because he is not in his thirties? ubunja: THE GIRL IS RIGHT 1 you are too young to be discussing anything serious with a gal right now. [s]only entertain such thoughts once u over 30..[/s] 2 the girl is too old for you. even thou you are the same age.that automatically makes her your senior, coz she matured ages ago ahead of you. (remember gals mature faster and are on avarage more than 5 yrs ahead of boys )
allow her to dump you.find a more laid back/ less serious relationship.and let that push you till you finish school. as a rule never marry before you reach 30.coz of 2 reasons 1.what the gal said: you are still to achieve your best. you will find a higher quality gal after you get your life in order first.time is man's best friend.we get better with time.but time is a woman's worst enemy.her life is always on fast forward.she is milk. you are wine 2.you are still getting to know someone very important in your life; and thats Yourself.you are still getting to really know your likes, dislikes etc and havent yet really found your own "voice" i.e you havent reached that level of maturity where you can tell the world to "fvck off" and do things your own way in a way thats true to yourself. only think of marriage in your 30s bro.and then marry a gal her age. thats why she is telling you she needs to get married.coZ her age is the prime/best age for marriage.but you are not at your prime/best age yet. u first need to get ready coz man must get his sh!t first before he marries. that way you will run your life at your own pace.not on someone else's pace. You're not talking about him getting married at 30 but entertaining marriage thoughts at that time. I never knew there is an official age for a man to start thinking of settling down. @cakez, we all had undergrad romance at some point in time and the feeling was more of the Romeo and Juliet type. Sadly, she's right. Don't put unnecessary pressure on yourself. You're barely out of school and might end up not getting set in the next five years, knowing full well that Law school and the NYSC would take two years or so to complete. It would have made a whole lot of sense if you are already working. That way, you'd be the one waiting and not put a leash around your neck. The feeling would pass. |

Kai, Davido and Wizkid really ran things this year and i don't see them slowing down next year. Tekno, Runtown and other artiste need to up teir game a bit. The duo of Wizkid and Davido have more social media presence than Phyno. And it is not everyday you have concerts in Enugu. That you don't know who she is does not mean you should react in ignorance. Daniella Down hasn't gotten the breakthrough in the British movie world as expected but she has an amazing resume. Do you really blame them? Had Buhari been fair about curbing his rampaging kinsmen, he would be getting nothing but love today. The young man got injured when he was racing on a power bike with his friend and you think it would be proper for the whole nation to flip their minds and become sweet to a man who has been indirectly responsible for killing, raping and ceaseless attacks on people just because they are Christians in a Muslim state. VictorRomanov: Guy na now you know? I've always said it: the average Nigerian no get sense. Listen to people call in on radio shows and you'd know.
People keep wondering why Nigerians can't produce or elect good leaders. The simple answer is that Nigerian leaders are a microcosm of Nigerians, they are just dumb! |

I never knew how stupid and ignorant some Nigerians are until this incident. I have heard people make all sort of odious and scornful remarks about this guy's accident and I just shake my head in pity for our hate-filled society.
This is not wickedness, it's outright stupidity.
Imagine people playing politics with someone's misfortune. A young man who his only crime is being the son of the president of our country. This really shows that an average Nigerian has a very low IQ. With the population of our great country predominantly youths, youths with such mindset, schooled youths with little or no education, I fear for our future.
Get well soon bruv and put the wicked to shame. How about the politics of religion played in Adamawa which the President never reacted to. Those comments are the harsh realities Buhari dished out to people. Interestingly, he is getting every dose of it. Yusuf's life is no special than that of the average Nigerian. His mishap came as a result of the ineptitude of his father's government. Isn't it ironic that he had an accident 'flexing' on a power bike in a period when most Nigerians are stuck at fuel stations? If it is his time to die, then so be it. Praying and fasting cum dishing out savoury prayers are not just befitting, just as praying for his death would be unfair. Empathy is out of the window so long Buhari's name is mentioned. This is Karma but on a lighter level. |

safarigirl: funny how you think Africans are some modest people who are always covered when in fact, the idea of wearing clothes was introduced by Westerners
Many African tribes still embrace nuditu till today, case in pont, the Zulu people. So, I don't understand how you assume Africa is a land of anything that has nothing to do with nudity
Do not confuse the teachings of Western religion as African tradition, nudity is not alien to African tradition at all, it has never been
Nobody was all covered up under the heat of sub-saharan Africa You ended up mixing your points up and left a space open. What we should be asking now is, 'was nudity in vogue as at the time the White man introduced clothing and textile to the black man?' Yes, Africans realised they were naked when the White men came and they wasted no time in carving a dress sense for themselves which was never truly European. It became our thing and wore it with pride. In a bid to protest against the colonialists, do you go about naked just because it used to be your thing? If you were given a camera, a crew and some money to shoot an expository video of your very own people, your kindred, would you ask the ladies to go unclad or perhaps make G-strings out of leaves and and shake from left to right? You get the problem now, yeah? Social media happened and that it is why nudity spread like wild fire. The desperation for attention, social media likes and compulsive Internet trend forced most people to hate their clothes. But then again, the simple logic comes to play; in a bid to fault whatever the white man did/brought, one's body parts was much revered than any other thing in the past. That you should about the heritage of your people does not mean you must date it back to the days of Adam and Eve, when they walked about all day without knowing they were naked and unashamed about it. Sex sells faster than anything in the world today and the same thing goes for nudity. |
