ganisucks:As much as you align with a different political party cum ideology, In strongly believe that the greater good of Nigeria is what we must all seek. More so, it was not the APC that drowned these people. We should always put on our thinking cap where necessary. |

Patented:Lol... Never knew someone uses paten.ted as a moniker. On to more serious things, patent is a very broad discourse with varying angles to it. Also, there are different types of patent, varying from design to utility, ie., function (of the said product). Utility Patent: If you have a new, useful invention that is not obvious to others in the field of invention, you may qualify for a utility patent. Utility patents are grouped in five categories: a process, a machine, a manufacture, a composition of matter, or an improvement of an existing idea. Often, an invention will fall into more than one of the categories. For instance, computer software can usually be described both as a process (the steps that it takes to make the computer do something) and as a machine (a device that takes information from an input device and moves it to an output device). Regardless of the number of categories in which an invention falls, only one utility patent may be issued on it. Among the many types of creative works that might qualify for a utility patent are biological inventions; new chemical formulas, processes, or procedures; computer hardware and peripherals; computer software; cosmetics; electrical inventions; electronic circuits; food inventions; housewares; machines; and magic tricks. If you acquire a utility patent, you can stop others from making, using, selling and importing the invention. A utility patent last for 20 years from the date that the patent application is filed.http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/types-patents.html http://www.neustel.com/Design-Utility-Patents/Design-Patent-vs-Utility-Patent.aspx Unfortunately, what comes to the mind of many whant 'Patent' is mentioned is invention and innovation of something never seen or fashioned before Like I earlier stated, Natural Dermis can only make something for themselves if indeed they are the first to use such packaging designs. Albeit, the world, as it stands, barely pay attention to design patents and mostly channel their energy on utility patent. Every thin of milk, regardless of brand, have the same shape, just like sardine cans all over the world. The same applies to Mayos and chili containers. Bottom line: Natural Dermis is only agree to see that a local brand is rising to the ocassion here. They should calm down and be ready for stiff competition. |
ReddLabel:Well, what do you know? We don't get to see a lady as this everyday |
Well, we might not know for sure if Dermis granted Dabota a patent right. It might as well be a lost cause for Dermis if their products are not patented. By the way, I can find a place precisely in the photos where one company called out the other. What am I saying sef? Milo's container (I mean the sardine Milo) is exactly the same as Titus (brand) itself, while Meisha looks exactly like Geisha. It's all about patent. Unfortunately enough, most of these brands don't patent their products and Dabota, I'm sure, she would have done her research to figure this. Unfortunately for Natrual Dermis, if it truly happens to be that their bottling and packaging styles are not duly patented, then this is nothing but hot air and it's dead on arrival. https://www.bcsafricanfoods.com/product/CAN/TITUS%20%20%20%20SARDINE%20bcsafricanfoods%201.jpg https://feedingu.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Milo-sardines-470x470.jpg |
We have accepted the fact that the Biafra Republic is not a reality but an anachronism, and doubt that the South South region will become a part of a Biafra Republic, except by force; after a declaration of another civil war.You guys shouldn't have accepted. You should have forced your will on the South South. The truth is, the news of this faction will deal a weakening blow to the very heart of Biafra faithfuls who ahave been claiming their destinies have been capped in a bottle of ketchup just because they are still within Nigeria. |
tobtap:As much as I try to condemn the president's supposed tyrannical act, we should be objective as well. His crime was not in naming his dog Buhari but in writing or inscribing it on the dog's body. It is an act of disrespect and gross indisciplne. |
Why are people not seeing that the reason Kwankwaso is being targeted is because of his so called movement? Day by day, the presidency keeps giving Nigerians the assurance that they indeed made a horrible choice. This is similar to the one that happened recently. |
euchaaria:The post says Adinife, not Adenife. |
liztemi:Thanks. And you're correct. The word is Permissive and not Submissive as earlier mentioned. Thanks for the correction. |
seguno2:Contrary to the belief of most Atheists,God does not impose on us. He has and will always put before us options and the ability to take either of the path rest with us. Proverbs 14:12 says Parallel VersesAnd this was the very same reason Christ came to persuade and not force us to embrace Him. John 14 confirms this; I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If y |
seguno2:Of course, He does. The point of reserving substitutes is to teach others. And me bringing it up was a pointer to the fact that no man is indispensable. Elijah was certain he was the only one who was true and faithful to God and the only servant of God in the land but God shocked him by telling him that there are 7000 reserves to take his place. The essence of that story is, God using us is just an opportunity and there are many who would take our place should we fall out of His plans for us. |
seguno2:Don't get it mixed in any way. God gives us the grace of choice everytime. However, when He decides to use you against all odds, He will. But then, He has substitutes for everyone He uses. 1Kings 19:18 confirms this. One thing is to live your life another is to execute a task given by God. |
seguno2:A typical example is the issue of marriage. Ideally, everyone have preferences. Tall, dark, handsome, God fearing, fair skinned lady, educated, tall, beautiful, God fearing, etc. These are a few of the preferences we tend to unconsciously ask God for before choosing a partner and we tend to place our search perimeter around these preferences. For someone who is mature and closely walk with God, you would say 'God, kindly lead me and choose for me.' In cases I've witnessed in people around me, they're 'embarrassed' with something far below their expectations. A good example of this happened to Jonah. He had his will and so did God. God's will was for Nineveh to repent and turn from their ways; Jonah's will was to run away because the people are terrible. However, God made Jonah bend to His will in the end. We all know what happened afterwards. We all sing 'All to Jesus I surrender' everytime, yet we don't really mean it. To answer your question fully, to allow God take would mean to shove your interest aside and realize that God's plan is just and fulfilling, far beyond ours. Beating the flesh under subjection is crucial here to get to this level. Jer 29:11 is not for ALL created by God. As a matter of fact, it is not for all Christians, but for those who would allow God take charge. Those who have given up their will for God's. Some people have missed it in life all because they fell out of God's ultimate plan for them. The moment you truly understand Jer 29:11, I mean deeply, you'd have no issues with giving up to God's will because you can hold Him by His word. And yes, God can never fail on His word. |
kennygee:The will of God is always painful. It explains why many don't like to align with it. As humans, we choose the best things or eyes, and these things could be ephemeral or temporary. His ideas can be painful to man but in the end, the story is never the same. The most important thing is getting to hear from Him and listen. Oh, let me hear Thee speaking, Excerpt from Oh Jesus I have Promised Marvin Sapp's song Deeper clearly talks about the will of God and how painful it can be. |
seguno2:Unfortunately, many wouldn't ask this or bother to know. Jer 29:11 explains this New International VersionOnly those who are close to God would easily know God's will for them. The reason is because these persons understand the way He works. The will God for one's life is usually aligned with what one was called to do. The problem here is that's one people struggle with God over their lives and rather than allow God take charge, they make certain decisions based on human understanding. |
eddyjibs:There's a big difference between will and inevitability. There is a time to die (Ecclesiastes 3:18). Either you serve God or not, death is inevitable and we cannot escape it. |
Let me add to the OPs post. There are two kinds of will; the perfect will and the submissive will. The perfect will is when God takes charge and in turn, one asks God to take over without habouring thoughts or options. For example, 'God, please, take charge totally. Direct my affairs and direct my thoughts and actions. ' The submissive will, on the other hand, is when we have a choice or options and want God to align with what we have. For example, 'God, please, I love Jane and would love us to have a Godly, Happy home that would come to fear you, even as we walk in love.' Both Wills cannot run together in one person. You cannot say you're giving everything to God one minute and you're trying to make decisions for yourself while putting God in it. Martins301:Humans are imperfect but God often gives us the grace of choice on certain issues. Sometimes, God could take the back seat if someone, who instead of relying on Him, make certain decisions based on the physical eyes or on shallow grounds. |
Which is actually a problem here. We keep running in a circle, thinking we are progressing and advancing as a nation. I pray God help us. |
Agriculture is the backbone of any thriving economy. The presence of oil and other resources should be considered and added advantage. We must be wise enough to realize oil might dry up some day. Agriculture would forever remain. The government should pay crucial attention to large scale farmers, as well as Small and Medium-sized enterprises. Lalasticlala Mynd44 |
As much as with increased exploration new gas reserves can be found, what must be obvious to all is that our oil and gas reserves are not renewable and they are diminishing, and to protect the generations to come, we must engage in nothing short of a radical shift in the diversification of the economy. - Anthony Carmona, Trinidad Statesman President Buhari's recent quests to discover oil several parts of the country, despite increasing cries over the need to diversify the country's economy far away from oil has revealed that he is nothing but an unrepentant, stubborn and a non solution proferring leader whose major interest solely rests on oil, rather than the welfare and well being of Nigeria and Nigerians. The bulk of the current problems plaguing Nigeria all emanated from what was supposed to be a blessing after it was discovered in 1956. Perhaps we should not blame an innocent resource bestowed on us by Nature itself. Perhaps we blame most leaders of the country who had at one point directed the affairs of Nigeria. Of what importance is oil to a people when they cannot access it like they own it, rather, like a resource alien to us as a people. Should we then hang on to oil as a means of sustenance to nation building? The answer, is yes! For many years, Nigeria was the star student in the “How to Put All Your Eggs in One Basket 101” class and she is currently reaping the rewards of her success. The Nigerian economy, especially the public sector, has been dependent on revenue from crude oil exports. As one of the top 10 oil producers in the world, previous administrations focused only on the oil sector as they believed that global economic growth would fuel the incessant demand for crude oil which would in turn guarantee sustained high prices.https://www.stearsng.com/article/10111 From the above, it would be right to say we have been unfortunate as a country to have leaders who clearly run in vicious cycle as far as the word 'Economy' is mentioned. We keep blaming every past administration for the woes, plight, mishaps, misfortunes and dilemma we're presently experiencing, when in reality, we have a leader who has refused to learn from the annals of history. Perhaps the president thinks diversifying the economy means looking for oil in several other parts, other than the main source, which is the South South part of the country. While we must slightly commend this move to end the Niger Delta monopoly and unnecessary assault on the country's economy, I must add that it is a waste of the country's resources, considering the fact that availability of jobs thin out with each passing day. As a country whose economy and national budget has always been dependent on revenues from high crude oil prices, we are currently in uncharted territory. The lack of diversification in the economy has put us in a precarious position where economic growth is largely dependent on one resource.https://www.stearsng.com/article/10111 There are several oil producing states that are performing better than we are doing right now, not because corruption is absent, but because these countries have become worse over the years to realize that over dependence on oil is a disaster waiting to happen. We do not need to hold any previous government responsible for where we we are if this present government is not interested in bringing solutions to the table. The vicious cycle has begun. Perhaps, we need those closest to the President to explain to him that diversification of the economy means taking out half or more than half of our eggs into another basket, capable of impacting Nigerians in the best, positive way possible. |
YourNemesis:I have been to Ila Orangun before, and yes, one would not be able to tell if one is indeed still in Oyo or Kwara. Regardless, it does not necessarily imply that border defines the people it sits in between. Ondo shares border with Edo state, but doe not necessarily both make them Yorubaland. The story of Kwara being a Yorubaland is a once upon a time tale. Coincidentally, I had a similar discussion as this in the office before rounding off today. Badagry and Benin is another example;while their tale is not in way historically related to that of Kwara, it still however goes on to say a lot about its people who find their way into Badagry and ended up becoming bilingual with the ability to express themselves in Yoruba language. A typical Kwaran is almost a Fulani before speaking Yoruba. Fulani in itself is not a tribe exclusive to the Yorubas but some part of the North. True, Ogbomina and Nupe also come in here but still does not lump them to Yoruba tribes. I had Kwaran neighbour; the man is an Alfa but his pretty wife who is more outspoken would readily ring it into your ears that they're Yoruba Fulanis and you can't just help but laugh at it and ask what that is all about. Bottom line is, Most Kwarans today might speak Yoruba fluently, cultural practice, approach to life and their perspectives are more inclined towards the North than the South. |
trenlog:Oyo, yes. Osun, yes, Ogun, not true. Lagos, definitely not true. |
YourNemesis:Boarder politics is not my thing. But before you lay claims to Kwara, it would be nice you fall back to history to ascertain my initial assertion. |
oduastates:Kwara is not a Yorubaland. Historically, yes. Geographically, no, presently, no. Muslims all over Nigeria tend to pose problems before elections by constantly reminding the masses that they're different by registering some stüpid, nonsensical, annoying request, and the annoying part is the aspect in which they think they are somewhat after issuing such horrible, divisive assertions. |
ammyluv2002:Lol... I'm sorry Been busy, but not too busy not to have your time I have gists for you sef. I'm about leaving the office. Hopefully tonight ![]() |
glamoured:I shielded a lot by erasing some names from the pictures and posts. You claim the person in question is your late mom's best friend and her husband. The man in question carries your surname. How is that possible? The woman in question looks so much like you; let's believe humans are created in twos. From the way you tag people bearing the same surname as you in almost every of your posts tell a lot. A family member who bears the same surname as you commented on the picture of you and your 'mom's friend husband' Father and daughter carry go. This came from a FAMILY MEMBER WHO SHARES YOUR SURNAME. |
This was her top sometimes ago, precisely on the 2nd of August; https://www.nairaland.com/3264815/step-father-making-me-think-suicide Good evening famiylanders, i'm in great pain as i write this.I could not help but notice the bolded all through her first post. However, certain information i found out greatly contradicts this. I'm a bit confused, i must admit. 1. She claimed her dad passed on shortly after she was born but it turns out that a picture of her and someone i suspect to be the dad was posted on Facebook, with very many of her friends attesting to the father and daughter striking resemblance. Note some names were cleaned... These are names of suspected family members, who share the same surname as her. She claimed the mum passed on in 2013 but on the 9th of May, 2016, she posted beautiful pictures of her mum, wishing her a happy mother's day, and with no 'RIP', 'Miss You' added to her post in the picture. The pictures below greatly contradict her claims in the post above. And yes, i reached out to her believing I could help but I guess distance is a factor as she claims to be in Calabar while I'm in Enugu. She might truly need the job but with the little e-mail exchange we had, she didn't strike me as one who has issues and urgent needs. All she seems to be indirectly after is money without adding the work part. And I must confess that some of her pictures on Facebook does not really depict that of an uncomfortable person. She seems to be on the life loving part a great deal. cc Dominque

Unfortunately FreeWorld23 is right. I reached out to the said lady this morning, with the hope of assisting by helping her with a job but it turns out that she's not who she say she is. Would be posting my findings right away. |
