I have been a keen follower on this property section. Drawing loads of ideas and experience from here. so much so that artisans on my site think am an experienced builder.lol even though this is my first build. I can relate to the op totally cos I find my self in the shoes. I engaged an architect to supervise for me. He currently has several projects around Abraham adesanya - ajah axis. if u discuss with him he might be able to add urs. He isn't very active here on nairaland but he has posted some of his works here. He's handle is @efeej I think It's my first time posting here, I salute all my ogas hajj, in the house, u guys do not know how many lives u have touched. u no do well. u guyz should continue the good work. |
What is the price per SQM for the stamped concrete |
What documents does the Land behind LASU campus have? Are there buildings around this land? |
Adiahabasi:She's still working on it O, they take their time @ that place..she's almost gotten all of baby's docs though. Just passport pick up on wednesday, took the passport today. |
anonymousmum:@anonymousemum: have you tried using Uber? It did cut wifey's transportation cost by half. Its a mobile app, U download it on ur phone, pretty easy to use. Even wifey that isn't techie at all(emphasis on at all.lol) found it easy to us |
@bj2012golf..congrats man, so happy for you. Meanwhile bros you are popular here oo, you should run for office. I would be ur campaign manager free of charge. I promise not to touch the campaign funds *sikes*. |
Shayo5:Wifey and baby are doin very well. Am in nigeria so I ain't busy with baby per say.lol The hospital assigned one cos we didn't have any preference. That zero balance ain't as straight forward as I thought, they take their time in that country, wifey is on it though. |
favouredB:I did an extensive of search around the new York/new jersey area and Hackensack was about the cheapest I got. I would like to know if any other cheaper hospital comes up around this area. I have been receiving a lot of PM with regards to my post on John Peter Smith hospital. I would appreciate if you could put these enquiries here just so that others to can benefit from these replies. I have learnt a lot from this forum and would like others to benefit several months down the line. Another reason is because I believe other people have used JPS too and might be able to profer answers to questions I might not be able to as I would be limited to only my personal experience. While I would continue to respond to PMs,I would appreciate it if you please put your enquires here. @bj2012golf...how far? Was at the embassy on monday to notarize documents and saw a lot of people given visa, my mind immediately when to you. That embassy is so sane, compared to what we always face in lagos. |
IyawoToBe:Got an apartment, intown suites @ six flags, cost $220/ per week. There are cheaper rooms though I think $189/per week and the place is fantastic N.B :A tip to getting apartment is to get one close to the clinic you would be doing checkup NOT close to the hospital, cos you would only go to the hospital twice, to register and deliver, the rest would be @ the clinic you select. Yes they only take appointment when u are in the US. It is assumed that you are a resident so should be able to walk in to register yourself |
IyawoToBe:Natural is $4,500. CS is $5,500 Breakdown: CS - 3,500 for the hospital (all inclusive) Natural - 2,500 (all inclusive) Doctors Fee - 2000 both natural and CS. N.B: we are still to get a zero balance statement. So we set asides some funds for contingency (just in case we get a separate bill for paeditician and the rest). However all these are included in the contract. The major thing you would need to contend with before u register is that you would need to show that you are a resident, so you wud need a bill from your stated address. If you stayin with family you can get bill from them. If u staying in an apartment, you can register for internet, and present the bill. Or get the apartment manager/landlord to write that ur utility bills are included in your rent( as most partment rent comes with utility bills built in). You could get this notarized for $20. Feel free to disturb for any other info. |
Shayo5:She wasn't able to attend the ante-natal classes because someone told her @ the hospital that she would be contacted. She just kept going for all her routine checkup till it was time for the baby to arrive. Now we have to buy a car seat which would have been given free if she attended the classes. |
For those that want the consent form (Form 3053). A fast way is to google form 3053, you would see it in pdf, save it and you are home and dry, that's what I did. My wife gave birth on boxing day to a beautiful baby girl via elective CS. Hospital was JPS fort worth dallas, Texas. The service was superb from the start to the end. She was just discharged minutes ago. We got value for every cent of the $5,500 we paid (all inclusive). We are yet to get the zero balance statement, wifey would pick that up later. My daughter developed jaundice, luckily the level didn't get high. I was worried cos treatment would have been outside the obygyn package and I didn't want any suprising "X factor" bill. Attending the ante natal class entitles you to a lot of freebies; a car seat, diapers, early baby clothes and loads more. Wifey was given wrong information @ the hospital so she didn't enjoy this. Make sure you ask well if you are using this place. And yeah they have transport service for pick up and drop off if you stay far from the ante-natal clinic location. There are several clinics, you get to pick the one closest to your location. To all expecting mothers, God would grant you all safe deliveries, all those waiting for interview..na success all through. My brother @bj2012golf, I don commit 31st to God hands. Its success |
Am interested in a ninja 250..Just hope I can get a good deal |
damsell:@ damsell Are you trying to reschedule your flight through the agent you bought ur ticket from in Nigeria? I would advise you contact united directly in the US. Call them up or get to their office if you can. A friend wanted to reschedule her emirate flight back from new York and the agent told her it would cost 85k. She got to the airport and did it for $50. Just rescheduled wifey and MIL flights on Turkish. the agent was giving a "ridonculous' price but wifey called turkish directly and rescheduled for $200. So try that(if you haven't already) you just might get good rates.. |
zeezahbee:Her friend would be illegal if she overstays the period stamped by the CBP officers upon entry, her child would get citizenship.I know of a similar case and they were able to renew their visas especially as they paid all their bills and got a zero balance statement (they were called in for another interview though). However situations like this should be discouraged, if you must travel and your visa would expire, a mail to the embassy for clarification wouldn't hurt. @exxy please tell ur friend not to exceed her stamped in period and pay all her bills (no medic aid) especially as she is in new York which is a relatively expensive state to give birth. |
My post is coming a week late.. wifey got into NY without a hitch. The only tiny snag was @ MMA when she presented her fit to fly, and they asked who her dr was(the fit to fly was signed by the hospital admin though it stated she had just been reviewed by a certain dr) She flew Turkish airline, had layover @ istanbul for 1.25mins and then continued the 11 hour trip to NY. She met with a male officer @ POE and in less than 5 mins they were stamped in 6 months(she went with MIL and our one year old toddler). They only asked her what she was here for, she said Christmas and to have a baby. He didn't ask for anything else, they picked up their passport and went to pick up their bag..toward the exit, another officer asked if she had egusi, she said yes and ijebu garri. He laughed and asked her to carry on. All these while I was worried silly back here cos I kept calling her US number but it wasn't on. Different thought kept coming to mind, I didn't know when I let out a scream when she called that she was alright. JFK is a very friendly POE(dallas too) if u can,it won't be a bad idea to take this route, I think it also helps when u layover in an european country. In all, na God e dey, a word of prayer wouldn't hurt as my oga tvegas mentioned earlier. Sorry for the long post. Just tot to share |
what is the current rate for dollar? |
raii:What do u mean by tax payment? Tax payment on behalf of the child? |
Lotalways:Dr Fagbohun doesn't accept deposit, and his prices are vag/CS $5770/$7,280 (all inclusive) he uses oakbend. Medical center |
somchisom:Hi have you gotten a hospital in new york? |
@ lisamarris, we haven't gone yet..should leave mid-november (meant to stay with family), I think you should google extended stay in sugarland and check it out for the period you would be there. I can understand your desperation.Just take a deep breath and calm down. You can also check out intown suite too. I think a lot of people using houston usually have family thereto might explain why u ain't getting lot of answers. Try that out..any hiccups you can pm me. No worry I no dey chop groundnut. ![]() |

MadameU: Are there any folks who would be In phoenix for December through March who have not booked accomodation? HollaI just might be interested in sharing accommodation in phoenix o(if that is what you looking at) cos na accommodation cost make me run go NY especially as we didn't register before the increase in price. . |
This thread is one of the most matured and resourceful threads on NL. From reading from page 1 to now any one would know that both MIHS and Del Sol are great hospitals. Maybe both hospitals get agents to market for them, may they do not. I do not know and I do not think it really is much of an issue because at the end of the day, our decision on the choice of a hospital would not only be based on ' just some agent' but on extensive research, testimonials (trust me u can tell a real testimonial from a fake over time),power of your pocket amongst other things. We all have our reason for doing what we do even the agents(if there are). All these things na distractions cos let's face it, as with everything in life, there would always be black sheeps.(if you check am..inside your family one bad egg must dey). But they have not stopped us from achieving what we want to achieve or getting to where we are today. So let's sheath our swords(if there ever was any drawn) And go back the business of the day. Nothing is cast in stone, if it were by the type of hospital Micheal Jackson would still be alive today and maybe Joan Rivers too. Let's just keep praying to God (or whatever deity we believe in) that our choices are the right ones and that our experiences would be grande |

*sikes*.
pls if anyone knows of any other less costly way I can go about moving my flight earlier, I'll appreciate it. Thanks
