A lot of schools give discount(some call it scholarship) for international students. Some you might have to apply for but most comes with the admission. In my case Liverpool Beckett gives £3000 for international students. But they said they were impressed by my personal statement so gave me an additional £1000 Dean scholarship.

I read somewhere here where someone said we people should only look at A /B listed schools, well what I would say is everybody's personal experience differs. If I am an experienced software developer here in nigeria. I can do masters in a university like teeside and get a good job after graduation based on my ability to show skills, if am a chartered accountant with several years of experience under my belt, I can go to a Middlesex university or Newcastle university and get an internal audit job , so long as I can show I posses the skill set and have experience. My point this ..I don't disagree that going to university of Oxford or imperial college would get you an offer faster. But you can and would still get offers if you to the B and C ranked school. It's up to you to package your resume and cover letter well and then ace your interview. A lot of schools also offer placement. Placement is like internships where you work in UK companies and get paid, thereby also getting UK work experience before graduation. So a lot of factors should influence your choice of school and course. One last thing.. go through the UK shortage occupation list. If your course of study/experience is there, then your job search after grad is a lot brighter.

Would like to correct the OP impression about 2.2 getting masters admission in the UK. Even with third class and HND you can get direct admission for masters. It depends and the school so a little research would help Sheffield hallam and Chester university are examples of school that give HND admission for masters.The thing about the UK is that its application is pretty straight forward so you dont have to go through an agent and school admission is free. I have 2.2 and I was able to get £4000 scholarship from my intended school (Leeds Beckett University). Below are a few school with low tution.

Queen Margaret University
Edge Hill University
York St John University
University of Bedfordshire
Teeside university(allows you pay tuition over 2 years)

Admission are usually in Jan and September like op stated earlier but September gets more discount/scholarship's

Different schools with different payment plans, while most schools will allow installment even up to before your final exams others will require payment before or shortly after resumption.

If you have funds saved up (or you are still saving) the UK would be a good bet. Especially with the post graduate work permit kicking off from summer next year. So one gets 2 year work permit after graduation. And if within that period you get a job that is able to sponsor you, you convert to tier 2 work permit and are eligible for indefinite leave to remain(ILR) which is like PR within 5 years. The splendid thing about UK student visa at the moment is that you have 90% success rate. At least if you don't bungle it up yourself.(its easy peazy compared to Canada and US study routes) with extremely low denial rates.

As a student you work 20hrs a week, if you are married you can apply with your spouse and kids(if that applies) for dependant visa. And your spouse is allowed to work full time. If your spouse is an experienced professional and is able to get a good tier 2 sponsor then your path to ILR is shorter.

Does it make sense to move the fund to stanbic then?

Truth is it's only you that can answer that question, my take will be to disturb them via their social networks with a timeline in mind, if they don't bulge then you switch.

For those asking about form A..I applied with stanbic Ibtc on the 13th October and it got deducted on the 19th. So for now Stanbic might be the best bet, at least when things normalizes.

@ThatEdoFemme Dont be afraid of your age. Applications is pretty straight forward so no fear. Truth is a lot of peeps applying here are actually older than that age and they have gotten their admissions and visa.

Response time is usually school dependent. I applied to some school towards ending of August, got response within a week from some and for others am yet to get a response. What course do you intend to study? Search out schools based on your preference; school ranking, course modules, tuition fees etc. and then apply, the beautiful thing about uk is that application is free. Some applications you can conclude in 10-15 mins if you have all your documents, others might take more than a day. Just dive in. If you have challenges or are confused at any point, ask questions here. There is most likely someone here that has applied to that school and that course that can assist.

Well I would say have a compelling statement of purpose. When I got the Dean scholarship (which is the extra 1k) the letter states that they were impressed by my SOP. Tie whatever experience you have that relates to your course of study (even voluntary) also if you have any professional certifications that will boost your profile, state them. I finished with a 2.2 and my WAEC which I used for english proficiency was over 20 years ago (they requested for waec scratch card though). So I believe any body can get it.

In my experience with Wema bank, Form A was processed next day. We got telex copy next day.

PTA/BTA processed instantly.

You don't have to keep it busy. Just make sure it doesn't go below the required amount.the general advise is to have above the required amount to make room for currency fluctuation.

There is a general delay in getting Form A processed in all the bank. Am about to try stanbic though. Someone here mentioned fidelity processing in 5 days

Resounding YES. Looks good, great maneuverability which is a must in Lagos traffic, good on gas for a three row SUV, tons of features (recommend at least tech package) COMFORTABLE and RELIABLE.

It has been a long journey!
With 2 visa refusals from US and Canada for me, 4 visa refusals for my hubby (2 from US alone this year)...it was a journey full of faith, prayers and determination. So many errors along the way, issues with my hubby's passport made us do a new passport within a week. It was a mental hurdle for us all but thank GOD it finally ended in PRAISE!!

Thanks to everyone here@mimilyrics, justwise, and so many others who I picked your brain on how to make this possible..you guys are 10 zillion much. With this, I draw the curtain on my constant commentary here as school work has started in earnest and I need to switch focus from applicant to student mode (LOL).

I pray for all those who are waiting, about applying or have applied..the same God that made ours a success in spite of everything, will do the same for you. Check with stanbic IBTC if you have an account with them. You can also try their BDC. The rate for their BDC is 391 to a dollar

please i need clarification. Does stanbic have a BDC asides from their regular banking operation?

Good day everyone, I applied to two schools for January intake still waiting for their approval . Behold this morning I received a call from SI-UK that they will help me process my admission for free to any Uni in UK ,I should just send my credentials . I am confused about this

It might be better if you applied your self. One of the agencies offered the same, (I think Ukeas). Since august they are yet to follow through on the application keep requesting for same documents. Meanwhile I already had offers from several schools that i applied myself.

Trust me you can do it your self. Just go to your school website and follow the instructions. If you have all the documents available, it should take you 15- 20 mins tops. If you have questions you can always comeback here and ask.

Nope, you dont have to state it. Same thing happened to me, renewed in 2018 and didnt use it.

Yes oh..it was both US birth and Canada..tried doing the Canada routebut was discouraged by the frequent denials,so decided to change route.
