@ Topic,

They don't. What they do is fall in lust. It is a major source of irritation the speed at which Naija guys profess love. When they want a quick shag, it is "I love you" so that the girl can drop her knickers. undecided embarassed

Seriously never really watched the dude. He doesnt interest me at all.

He was a pretty terrible Batman too.
HE was a damn sight better than George Clooney who came after him. And He was pretty damn good in "Top Gun" and better than good in "The Ghost and the Darkness". And nope, I aint a Val Kilmer fan. Don't give a damn about him if the truth be known. Heard he was a bit of an asshole (dunno how accurate that is).

European toilets in general are terrible Sapphic. The only reason Im dreading my upcoming visit to France. Apparently from what I hear the "disgusting-ness" of French toilets is legendary.

Gonna have to shell out alot for a hotel that knows most Americans treat their bathrooms like sanctuaries.
I do not know who has been feeding you these tales or what circles they move in, but those two statements are so not true. Paris is my favourite city ever and I have been in toilets in so many parts of the city and except in one awful restaurant that my ex and I went to, everywhere had good loos (there are many dated facilities, but they were clean). If you are looking for a decent hotel, try Hotel de Fleurie. It is smack bang in a central location and would take you roughly 5-7mins to walk to the Pantheon as well as Jardin du Luxembourg. You can also walk to Musee D'Orsay and the Louvre in 10-15mins. Obviously, there are better hotels in Paris, but locationwise, this is good and the staff are nice and the facilities are good too (Okay, the rooms can do with being a little bigger, but it is a nice hotel). I have not been there in a while (I have stupidly presumed that Paris is the part of France you are headed to. And no, I have no investment whatsoever in the hotel, nor do I get anything for recommending it to people). If that aint good enough, pull out the big bucks and head to one of the five-star hotels. . . LOL.

As far as I am concerned, the main advantage your US bathrooms have on most European (well British and French) ones is the large size. I however cannot stand the fact that your toilet bowls half fill with water. It looks ludicrous. I often wonder if guys with long cocks don't have them trailing in the water. undecided Oh and don't even get me started on the gaps in the doors in public toilets (offices, some restaurants, airports etc.). You can see people outside washing their hands and they equally can see you too. The English would be outraged if they installed such cubicles and doors here. Oh, and FYI, German toilets are all round the CLEANEST I have seen in all my travels (and they are in Europe).

Some of you are in dire need of therapy.
I know I am in dire need of theraphy. . . I am still traumatised by the Nigerian (I heard her speaking Yoruba one day) girl I see now and again on the bus from work who it almost always seems waits to settle herself on the bus just to bring out a Mammoth breast to suckle her baby. I cannot get used to it and have taken to seating at the back of the bus in a bid to avoid going blind. undecided

Yawn. . . Double Yawn. . . Triple Yawn. Is this the same girlfriend who was supposed to be cheating on you and the one whom you want to sodomise by force. . . That girlfriend? embarassed undecided Dude, you need to get a grip, your desire to seek constant attention is an embarrassment. From your posts you are possibly the most appalling excuse for a boyfriend a girl could have, so if you are this dissatisfied with your girlfriend, move on and stop boring everyone with your lame threads and non-issue problems (By the way, how old are you? 12? angry).

Breast feeding in public is gross!!!! undecided undecided
I agree with all those who say this. In as much as I like seeing breasts, this is one instance I can do without. For some unfathomable reason, I feel embarrassed whenever I see someone whip out her breast in public (and this happened in Nigeria as well).

But the feeling of disgust at breastfeeding in public does not fall under this thread as it is not actually a hygiene issue.

@ Topic,

I hate people hawking phlegm and spitting in public. I hate people picking their nose in public (and some go ahead to eat the crap from their nose. . . Eeeewwwww. How disgusting is that?). I can't stand it when I go to people's homes and their toilets are awful or stink. Or when people use the loo for a number 2 and leave skid marks behind. . .Eeeewwww. There are loads of things that disgust me.

The case in point is on Gay culture and not female prostitution.
And the question still remains why latch on one so called "evil" or societal bankruptcy and not the other equally as glaring evil?

stillwater:
I don't believe these women are exploited.
How on earth have you arrived at this conclusion? What exactly is the basis of this your belief? You really need to delve a little (research) into that world before coming up with beliefs or conclusions that you just pluck out of the air. undecided

stillwater:
We are not in the year 1800. We have choices, don't we?
How delightful that you note these two salient points. I could not have put it better myself. This is the 21st Century and the guys who decide to engage in their gay acts have made a conscious choice to do so. Surely what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Or is this another case of some animals being more equal than others? undecided lipsrsealed
Surulere is a town. . . . .Victoria Island is a city but Lagos City = Lagos Island(Marina area)
That is the historical and the commercial nerve centre. The broad street, Tinubu square, Tafawa Balewa square etc is Lagos City.
VI, Ikoyi and em other places are not Lagos City.
I do not know what you have decided to label with the appellation "Lagos City". Lagos Island is exactly what it is i.e. "Lagos Island" or "Isale Eko". It is distinct from for example Victoria Island. What I challenged was your saying that Lagos is a state and not a city. I have argued that it is both. Now, i have not been to Nigeria in several years, so I do not know if the term "Lagos city" is now used interchangeably with "Lagos Island", this however does not remove the fact that vast parts of the state is a city. Lagos State is predominantly like London. In as much as there are no states here, London is the equivalent of a state, with the local boroughs being the equivalent of local government areas. Nobody will argue that due to the history and commercial clout of "The City of London" (or to spread it further, the whole of Central London), that that part of London is the only city, while places like Chelsea, Tottenham, Camden etc are not. The fact that there is a "City of London" has not and does not remove the fact that in general London is in fact a city (despite having suburbs like Richmond etc).

CultureRe: Mother Tongue Or English At Home? by Sapphic: 9:16pm On Jan 29, 2009
Nomalcy in my school was speaking English. Apart from the Hausa kids were kinda ostracised by most students, there were no groups that spoke any local languages. Actually, there was always a competition to determine who could speak the most complex phrases and ace the "phonetics".
